The Bay Tree Hotel in West Oxfordshire

Lovely little place to stay. We only stayed one night but everything was spot on. Lovely restaurant and good food. Recommended.

We recently stayed here for 2 nights and stayed in The Walnut room. The room was lovely and spacious with tea and coffee making facilities included. There was a lovely roll top bath and a walk in shower in the bathroom with a nice surprise of Molton Brown toiletries! The hotel was beautiful and the gardens are well maintained and staff were always happy to greet and assist you with any questions you may have. It is in easy walking distance to the high street and also has a private car park to the rear.

Lovely, historic hotel. Staff incredibly helpful and pleasant. Will definitely recommend and return.

I recently had the pleasure of working as a wedding photographer at The Bay Tree Hotel, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The location is stunning, with beautiful natural light that added a magical touch to every shot. The staff were incredibly accommodating and professional, making the entire process smooth and enjoyable. The venue offers a variety of picturesque backdrops, perfect for any type of shoot.The Bay Tree Hotel provides a versatile and charming setting that enhances every image. The well-maintained grounds and stylish interiors contribute to an atmosphere of elegance and comfort. I look forward to the opportunity to work there again in the future!

Very disappointing. Staff tried hard but were inexperienced. Food very disappointing for what is supposed to be a premier hotel with top prices. Breakfast was very nice but staff unable to cope. Had superior bedroom. Very spacious and lovely bathroom and shower.

Venue was our son's wedding Sat 18th May. Reception were excellent, rooms were clean and in fantastic condition. The food was presented and served to a high standard. I highly recommend The Bay Tree Hotel. My thanks to the Staff.👍

Wonderful impromptu lunch in the garden at the Bay Tree Hotel, Burford. We were non-residents and happened upon this lovely place by chance on a warm, sunny day. The thing that struck us immediately was how welcoming all the staff were, from Reception to waiting staff. Very accommodating and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed a lovely meal - fish and chips and a chicken caesar salad. Would definitely return.

Three nights DBB with our young dog in a really wonderful setting and location. Very good service and accommodation in the lovely garden rooms. Quality and variety of evening meals rather disappointing and overpriced. Good breakfasts though. Excellent parking too!

Beautiful English country hotel. Couldn't fault my recent stay. Our room was stunning, the staff were fabulous, especially with regard to catering for our puppy ( dog bed and bowl provided in room). With the fires lit in the bar area, a perfect atmosphere to relax with a beer or a cocktail 🍸 I will return, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Bay Tree.

Went for dinner to the restaurant, which was great. The food, decor, service, and general ambience are all very well done with a lot of attention to detail. The vibe is refined and relaxed.

We stayed the beginning of March for my wife’s birthday. When they realised it was her birthday, they upgraded us to a wonderful garden room, greeted us so warmly and even left a birthday card in our room. The welcome, friendly staff and overall experience made it a special birthday and fantastic break. A special mention to Alana who went above and beyond.

The room is large and generally comfortable. The staff were all friendly and helpful. It is in a very beautiful area. The common areas are very welcoming. The room is very cold. We cannot control the temperature in the room and the heating was noticeably lowered during the night. The fixed shower head is not practical and is a bit run down. Breakfast took 20 minutes to be served. Regarding the restaurant, I didn't find anything special. I had some difficulty choosing, I think they should refresh the menu.
