expensive for what your getting, around £10 for chips and the smallest veggie burger I've had in a while which is in disguise as a "beyond meat" burger, it looks nothing like a beyond meat burger and is half the thickness, this is bad value for your money.

the staff at the till was cold.the worst i have met in newcastle. food was too plain for the price. won't go again.

A franchise Spoons which really is the Uni Students Union - a complete contrast to your usual daytime experience. Well kept beers but CAMRA discount vouchers are not accepted.

Lovely clean wetherspoon addition inside the Newcastle University Student union. Reasonable prices, great service and not just for students. Worth a visit

Wetherspoons in name only, it's not a pub, it's a student bar. Sadly for me it lacked any atmosphere, was nearly empty. On a plus side, the bar staff was polite and helpful. And of course it's Wetherspoons prices. If you want a proper Spoons hit any of them in city centre, best leave this one for the students.

Still a really solid place to drink and get something to eat. A spoons is a spoons at the end of the day but the inside is really nice with good seating. Service tends to be fast and it can build a good atmosphere on busy nights. Due to it being on campus it's usually a little quieter for now, especially outside of term time.

Since this had changed to a Witherspoon's pub it's great, staff are really friendly and the beer and food is spot on.

A gem of a find. Such friendly staff and unusual to get a choice of where to sit. Highly recommend.

Nice new weatherspoons in Luthers bar which is part of Newcastle university. They offer 10% discount if you have student card, Yaay. Luthers weatherspoon is clean and tidy and the staff are friendly and polite. Service us quick but I think that's down to all the staff they have, loads, lol. The tables are cleared and cleaned straight away which is good. The toilets are along a corridor but at least not up a lot of stairs🙂 the toilets are clean but definitely nothing special and they do have accessible toilet. Kuthers is right in the centre of the University campus and is definitely popular for not long being open. They don't offer a full menu like most weatherspoons and they still offer child's menu. You can get metro from haymaket which is close and so is a good local bus service. The prices are reasonable and you get small discount on top. The drink was nice, 1 corona and 1 duet pepsi The food well my friends came out first and a good 5 minutes later mine came out, not good. So firstly my friend had chicken tikka masala curry all great except the nan bread over cooked crispy and hard and surprised it didn't break any teeth, shame. Now I had scampi, mushy peas and salad. The salad was fine the scampi nice and hot but the mushy peas cold, sorry but peas must be served hot. I did ask for the peas to be warmed hot which they did but unfortunately when they came back bit warmer but not hot they didn't keep scampi hot so quite disappointing. I have mentioned to friends and other work mates. Would i return, yes I would I always believe in second chances so will return hoping the food will be better

Really like it but they need to stop advertising full fat coke on all the menus if they don’t actually have it.

good student bar, come often for uni socials. a lot of people are complaining that the prices are high for a union bar which i suppose is true but it’s a lot cheaper than the other pubs on and around campus (crow’s nest, hancock etc) so it’s a good option in my book. only complaint would be that it tends to get slow when it gets busier but that’s not a big issue. the starbucks at the bar is very well priced.

I use the outdoor seating area to have my lunch from the co-op next door. Handy in the rain. But the bar is a popular place for students.

High prices, dirty bar, rude staff. KINSEY in particular, the manager, is a rude and unprofessional, lying syncopath who treats customers like dirt.

Pure incompetence, they serve the loudest not who's been waiting longest.

Staff are sound. Drinks are steep for a union but diesel is always a good price. Never seem to be enough staff when it's busy though

The Starbuck is cheaper than outside!!! A place to chill when you have breaks between lectures.

A great bar for us Newcastle University students, very cheap too, just a little bit on the quiet side at times which gives it an eery feel to it.

Perfect bar for students. Excellent prizes, cosily atmosphere, nice bartenders.
