Ordered food and bottle of wine. After 30 mins food hadn't arrived so went to bar to chase it up. Ten mins later had to chase again. So husband said he didn't want food. They were going to let him walk away without a refund until I mentioned it. You know what these things happen and we got our money back but the absolute rudeness of 4 bar people who stood smirking the whole time was disgusting. And their response was you've only waited 20 mins ..... don't think so!!!!!!!

This is a mixed review about bottomless brunch. Within a week I attended 2 bottomless brunches. One was yesterday which was amazing! The member of staff was so attentive, she was always coming over to check we had enough drinks and that we were not waiting, however I went to a bottomless brunch on the Monday before and I had to actively go to the bar to ask for a drink and did not enjoy it half as much. The one yesterday was also when it was very very busy and on Monday for my Mams birthday was completely empty. Good Friday- amazing, she was perfect and brilliant! Monday 14th April- terrible service.

Realmente rápido con las bebidas y saben muy bien, volvería de nuevo, ahora estoy borracho y alegre y había opciones de bebidas para mi mamá a quien no le gusta nada dulce. En general, experiencia aplastante.

* sin city burgers review * WAITED 3 HOURS FOR DELIVERY! food was dry, burnt & freezing cold, not edible at all! wasted 40 quid as it all went in the bin man on the phone was just straight up rude when I rang up asking for information regarding my order WOULD NOT RECCOMEND & WILL DEFINITELY NEVER ORFER AGAIN! 0/10

Had a meeting in Newcastle in the morning and have visited many times in the past. Watched the Cheltenham race meeting and was a fabulous atmosphere. Can only guess this will be a great venue to watch sporting events and not expensive.

We visited on a Saturday afternoon for bottomless brunch. I can honestly say it’s the best one we’ve been to. The Choice of food and drinks was really good. If you’re lucky enough to have Courtney serve you, it will definitely make your experience better. She was fantastic at not just our table but also the other bottomless brunch tables around the pub. We will definitely be back 😊

It is fantastic to see the pub and team getting right behind NUFC for their trip to Wembley for the Cup Final. I am sure other businesses will be following their lead very soon. 👏👏

Disappointed with my visit here was quite upset by the way i was treated by the staff I definitely won't be visiting here again

Great venue with a fab new food and drinks menu. Definitely worth a visit if you’re a sport watcher. There’s plenty of tvs and you can see a tv from any table in the building.

Popped in on Wednesday to try the new deep pan detriot pizza and wasn't disappointed. I've given 2 stars for service as unfortunately the table app was down but took payment for my meal. Having to wait up to 5 days to be refunded. The service was also slow, taking 40 minutes for the food and it wasn't busy. The pizzas are a decent size though and only managed half.

Me and my friends went for bottomless brunch and it was one of the best we have experienced. The food and drink choices were absolutely fantastic! The staff who served us were so attentive and friendly, they made sure we had the best time. We will definitely be returning in the near future!! Thank you and Merry Xmas 🧑‍🎄

Absolutely brilliant bottomless brunch yesterday. Really good value for money. The best bottomless in Newcastle by far. All 9 of us were superbly looked after by Courtney and the whole Akenside team. We will definitely be back

We went for bottomless brunch. Could not fault it at all. We were served by Courtney who was amazing and considering it was match day We did bit go without. They also found us another table once our brunch was finished and served us one final round despite the brunch finishing. Great service and one of the better brunches we've been to

Cheap and cheerful as per usual now a mixer pub plenty points

Visited on Saturday before the football. The team were really friendly and put the Plymouth game on TV for us. Really good value for money, especially on food. Would highly recommend

Had Bottomless Brunch here yesterday and we couldn't fault anything, Danielle and Toni were amazing attentive and social and kept our glasses full haha the food was amazing, one of the best pizzas I've ever had. Unfortunately we had to cut our session short but we will definitely be returning. Brilliant selection of cocktails and beer!

Yesterday (10/10/24) we went there for a meal with my best friend. Both bar staff were absolutely amazing. I want to especially praise the older bartender who served us. What a lovely man! Please give him a raise! :)) food was amazing. We really enjoyed lunch and drink for £6. Big up Akenside!

Vino por una pinta y se lo pasó muy bien. Andrew desde detrás de la barra me cuidó bien y fue un buen crack. Moretti estaba en su punto y no mal de precio. La única crítica es que no venden papas fritas de cebolla encurtida. Hubiera sido 6 estrellas si lo hubieran hecho.

Very good prices and good central location. Great atmosphere and even though I never tried the food what was being brought out looked very good. Plenty of space with pool table and music. Great 2-4-1 cocktails. Will visit next time I visit Newcastle

Great venue for sport- atmosphere was spot on with plenty of tvs to watch. Staff were accommodating and switched the tvs to different games. Great value of drinks with a great mid week offer £3.50 Amstel - bargain! We will be back for future football games!

El ambiente era genial con música a un nivel adecuado para escucharlo, pero también escuchar sus conversaciones en la mesa, justo lo que nos encanta para una puesta al día femenina. Las bebidas en oferta eran increíbles. 4 . 50 para cualquier cóctel en el menú todo el día todos los jueves. Gran manera de probar algo nuevo sin un precio caro. El personal era muy eficiente y los cócteles se hicieron y se sirvieron rápidamente. Ya estamos planeando volver para nuestra próxima reunión - la próxima vez incluso podríamos probar su brunch sin fondo que tiene críticas muy favorables!

Just had an amazing night in thus place watching Liverpool smash Milan, great atmosphere, excellent service, used the app to order drinks and they cane quickly. Would highly recommend this venue.

Must download the app to order and order via this app. After waiting half an hour I asked if it had gone through. Unfortunately, no. Had to order again. Very mediocre quality food; typical British pub food from the chip shop. No vegetables in sight. Ordered BBQ Chicken. There was a vague cheese or bacon sauce on top. Fries and 3 calamari rings (or whatever passed for that). Edible in itself, but oh so unhealthy. Great Britain, do something about your food culture! The beer was delicious by the way! And of course: football, football and more football on 15 screens.

Food was good typical pub grub, The drinks selection on the bottomless brunch menu is amazing! I've attended many bottomless brunches in Newcastle the cocktails at the Akenside really stood out, they were so good! Highly recommend bottomless brunch, excellent value for money and the service we received was fantastic! 5*

Expensive. Busy pub and charges ,£6.25 for a pint of ale. Disgusting. I'm now in the Broad Chare which charges £4.80 for the equivalent. I would say this pub is better. 🤢🍺

Highly recommend the bottomless brunch to anyone. Couldn't fault it was absolutely brilliant

I ordered a pizza at the bar and told the young woman that my table was really dirty and sticky. A quarter hour past until she brought my pizza and a paper napkin to wipe the table. After that, the table was as sticky as before. I went to the bar to ask her to it properly, but ignored me though we faced each other for half a minute. It’s really not nice when you can’t put your phone or your book or anything on the table while you eat. It was Sunday night and not very full. It’s a pity, the pizza was good.

Sent for bottomless brunch and could not fault it. Service was excellent at no point did any of our group have an empty glass the servers we super friendly and helpful food was ok and can honestly say I could not have drank another drink if u paid me at the end of the 2 hours I was full to the brim. We went as a group of 8 and we all agreed was a great experience

While the bar was lovely I am very angry with a bar woman named Danielle, when I ordered a pint of old mount on draft she poured Half and then filled the rest with ice. I then asked why is there ice in my pint and she said that’s how it comes. I then corrected her and told her that it doesn’t while she proceeded to shout in my face while she poured me a fresh one and slammed it on the table I payed and walked away but she let it down.

Came for bottomless brunch yesterday with a group of 11 of us, we were worried service might not be too quick as we were a large group to serve and it was bank holiday Sunday but the service was amazing. Wish I remembered our servers name because he was excellent! 10/10 for the bottomless brunch here, fab drinks selection and food options for everyone. Highly recommend 😊

We went to watch the game on Saturday, however it was a bit strange that there was no sound on the TVs despite being packed with football fans. They do bottomless Brunch so they tend to cater for that instead. We put our drinks on an empty reserved table before the party arrived and got told by a very snotty waitress to move them. Bit rude 😂 Bar staff were run ragged but generally really efficient & friendly. Just needed the sound.

Unbelievable service, unbelievable value, how they make money I do not know. How Vicky carries the bevs, I also do not know, she must be hench as out. Absolutely class, 10/10 would brunch again. Cheers!

Never changed in decades - A great pub

Courtney and Ryan were fabulous, it was a busy post match weekend and the atmosphere was great, busy and organised. Food was great, but the standout was the service, both of these guys were attentive, professional and friendly. It was a bottomless brunch, they made some fab recommender cocktails which tasted and looked amazing. Thank you for rounding off our weekend, a day to remember.
