Unbelievable service, unbelievable value, how they make money I do not know. How Vicky carries the bevs, I also do not know, she must be hench as out. Absolutely class, 10/10 would brunch again. Cheers!

Courtney and Ryan were fabulous, it was a busy post match weekend and the atmosphere was great, busy and organised. Food was great, but the standout was the service, both of these guys were attentive, professional and friendly. It was a bottomless brunch, they made some fab recommender cocktails which tasted and looked amazing. Thank you for rounding off our weekend, a day to remember.

Bottomless brunch was the best we have ever done!!! Toni and Vicky ( hope I spelt that right) were the most helpful and friendly staff! They made sure our drinks were topped up and very accommodating! We would come back for their service alone! Great place if you’re looking for a boozy brunch!

Had the best bottomless brick experience here. Toni and Vicky were amazing hosts. Menu for food and drinks was amazing- we do a lot of bottomless brunches and this is one of the best! We had most of the drinks on the menu and the boss Benedicts and karaage kid burgers. Thank you for a lovely afternoon, we’ll be back x

Was refused a replacement for a flat drink. The drink was on the menu and available, a member of the bar staff bought it out but the manager instructed her not to serve it because "They don't sell very much of it and it will go flat." Manger was rude, unreasonable and objectionable. Awful place, avoid at all costs.

Well what can I say .. booked for brunch on a Saturday forgetting the Newcastle match was on TV. The place was rammed and I thought I had made a bad choice. But oh how wrong I was ...table was ready drinks were ordered and arrived very quickly by Joe who was our server for the day and what a hoot he was .. food was fabulous and nothing was a problem even tho the staff were run off their feet. Will definitely be back .. what a pleasure it was .

Went for valentines meal, the food was excellent and the place felt super clean and comforting. Was served mostly by Jessica who was super friendly and made me some excellent cocktails. We will be back 😊

We always here at least 3-4 times a week. Staff are absolutely amazing, very polite, easy to chat. I've got few favorites in here too like Joe, Andrew, Ruth, Courtney, Kiara, Toby. These ppl are absolutely amazing very friendly. Talking about the atmosphere this is one of the best sports bars in Newcastle where you get to watch football, cricket, rugby if you're a sports enthusiasts. It's absolutely worth visiting and spending your time and getting serviced by these amazing people. Food is lovely too as they got a wide range of selection which satisfy all kinds of taste buds.

Went on Sunday night, football was on TV so pub was buzzing. If you are a sports fan, football, rugby, etc then this is the pub for you. It’s a really great place to with a crowd.

Go the Newcastle a fair bit for gigs on my own. Tend to eat here because the food is good and reasonably priced. Beer good too and staff always very pleasant and attentive.Seen some great live music too and Quayside is such a magical place.

Went to akenside today and I'm going to make it my regular it was fantastic, really friendly staff with good crack and they went above and beyond can't thank them enough, it was very chill and not overwhelming environment and the food portions were great, very clean and food and drinks were very quick getting to our table via the app 👍

Went to akenside today and this is the best pub I've been to in newcastle amazing views and amazing staff they were so lovely with everything and quick service and had good crack, the food portions were amazing and I saw cleaning happening when they had free time, such amazing staff can't thank them enough for going above and beyond and the decor for the rugby was amazing they definitely deserve this good review 😀

Ryan the bartender made our stay at the bar incredibly relaxing and enjoyable. When faced with an incredibly large Christmas party, he rose to the challenge and never said no to a request! Thank you Ryan, and the Akenside Terrace.

Great location on the Quayside in a nice prominent building. I was expecting it to be a little nicer, but it's basically like weatherspoons, but more expensive. The whole time we we're there, no one cleared any of the many dirty tables filled with empty plates and glasses even though it wasn't busy and plenty of staff.

Came in this afternoon with a friend, we both had a cocktail made by michael the bar staff, which went down a treat with the amazing pizza we had, the rest of the staff were brillant too, will definitely be back!!

Popped in for food with friends. It’s been a number of years since previously visited but was very impressed. The food was really good, nice atmosphere, clean, and staff were friendly & attentive. I’d definitely recommend giving it a try.

What an excellent pub! Drinks selection and food are spot on! Wonderful atmosphere and staff are absolutely amazing! Especially our server Harvey who was so friendly and made sure we had a great experience! Definitely will be returning!

One of the best sports bars in Newcastle. Was served some great cocktails by Ciara which were 2 for 1 so good value as well. Would definitely recommend going here for a match day.

Lovely place and food. Other customers were so friendly, I was on my own waiting for my son, and some ladies gave me a prosecco from their bottomless brunch. I think they thought I'd been stood up 😂

Decided to go to the akenside with my husband and friend on 12th November at 10:30. Was disappointed and angry that my husband was refused entry that the doorman decided that he had already had too much to drink! My husband had already had two pints and greeted the doorman by saying ‘alright fellas’ which seemed to give them the impression that he had already had too much to drink. We were a group who were just on average 50 years old and obviously had no intention of causing trouble or had too much to drink. This totally spoilt our night and I would appreciate a response to this complaint which has also been forwarded to the brewery. I can’t believe that ordinary people would be refused entrance when pubs are struggling so much for custom. Regards

Visited on Saturday for Bottomless Brunch. Service was amazing, drinks were never empty. Food was lovely, especially the pepperoni pizza. Will definitely return and highly recommend. Great value for money and excellent service.

Came for food and a drink with the partner. Amazing service start to finish! The lads behind the bar Danielle couldn’t do enough! Got us a table straight away. Food unreal! Shared two mains. Pepperoni pizza and The Melt Burger! Had a cheeky side of garlic bread cheese. Everything was gorgeous! Love music a bonus. Thanks so much guys! Lovely night ❤️

Became our local during our stay in Newcastle. Partly because it was at the bottom of all the hills that city has but mostly because the atmosphere was excellent, the beer great and the staff were good banter. If you're Quayside, go there.

Joe's the best! Joe looked after us soo well, we felt well listened too and well looked after. Best bottomless!

Our family made a short stop in Newcastle while on holiday and spent the day walking all around town, taking in some of the sights and getting a feel for the place so that we can properly visit another time. We made our way to the bridges and Quayside by sundown and Akenside Traders caught our eye. It was a great choice! The servers showed us tremendous hospitality and great service. They gave us loads of recommendations on things to do while in town. Our kids loved the wings and pizza, and we were happy with the wide variety of beers offered. It is a very spacious place with TVs at every table, which I imagine is a great place to take in a football match or two! Being we visited in October, the place was a super festive with full on Halloween decor which added to the fun of the evening. We’ll be back for sure!

Staff really friendly. Ryan was really welcoming and funny! Drinks are very reasonably priced. All round good atmosphere, and would recommend.

Went there on a quiet Wednesday evening just for a couple of pints and some wings which led to some cracking service from Harvey and Joe, I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves there real and craft ales and a good selection of popular lagers and spirits. 10/10

Best place in town!!! Guys if you want a few drinks and a place to watch the rugby, football etc. then get yourself here!!!! The food is spot on, the atmosphere is great and the staff are exceptional, especially Harvey, Ryan and Joe!!

Great venue with a great range of food and drinks available. Came with my husband and although we didn’t eat this time the food we saw coming out looked lovely. Good range of drinks on draught and plenty choice of spirits. We’ll be back soon.

Was recommended to visit here for viewing the Rugby World cup game but sadly once the footie had finished, a DJ showed up and all we got was rugby on some of the screens but not all. Calls itself a sports bar, well maybe not rugby during a world cup setting. The creepy guy in the gents was also an issue, can't just go for a quiet visit to the gents it seems.

It's a nice place, but pricey. Went on a match day...wow you couldn't get moved it was like "let's see how many we can fit in the bar"....still worth a visit but avoid if you want a quiet drink on a match day....

Popped in with the dogs on GNR day. Just before the heavens opened. The staff were brilliant, very friendly and got the dogs water and treats. We stayed longer than we planned so had a snack which was very tasty every thing was very well priced too. Well done and will be back next time.x

Popped in for a drink with our two dogs on Great North Run day. It was quiet when we arrived. The staff were awesome, getting our dogs water and treats. We then had a light bite, which was very tasty. The beer was good snd every thing was very well priced. Stayed longer than planned mostly due to above and also the deludge outside. Was in here celebrating a 40th. Staff were absolutely unbelievably rude to my daughter. Disgusting behaviour coming from the bar staff.

We visited this bar after a nice meal at Prima Italian for my nieces 18th Birthday on Thursday evening. There were 8 of us including 3 generations of the same family. We just wanted to enjoy a couple of drinks before booking taxis to get home. The lady who first served us explained that my niece couldn’t have an alcoholic drink as she didn’t have her ID with her (even though we had 18 balloons and gift bags etc) fair enough she had a Coke as she doesn’t really drink anyway. My step father paid for the round of drinks and we sat at a table opposite the bar. The Manager then decided to shout over the bar that we had to finish our drinks & leave as my niece shouldn’t even be in the bar after 9pm. This was totally over the top, embarrassing and spoilt which should of been a lovely occasion. The least he could of done was quietly come over to our table to explain the situation, customer service was non existent will never be back, Only went in as was convenient to the restaurant we’d visited prior, not really a family environment, better suited to younger people hence probably the manager’s attitude in not being used to civil conversations with his clientele, so rude!

Had a great Sunday afternoon watching the rugby with some chicken wings (so good) and cider. Betsy was so helpful and friendly. Enjoyed the laid back vibe and how accommodating they were. Only complaint I have is the toilet area doesn't smell the greatest.

Smashing afternoon, good service by Betsy and Dan was pleasant and helpful too. Would recommend a visit if you’ve not been before.
