Travelled from Plymouth for the weekend and the team looked after us and showed the Plymouth game on the screen for us on Saturday! Thankyou!

Visited on Saturday before the football. The team were really friendly and put the Plymouth game on TV for us. Really good value for money, especially on food. Would highly recommend

Didnt have food just a cuple drink lovely place

Always loved the Akenside when in Newcastle but decided to try their bottomless brunch. It was absolutely amazing, the whole bar staff were great, a special shout out to Courtney, she was soooooooo good. Highly recommend it to everyone.

Fantastic place to eat and drink

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying bottomless brunch, and I have to give a shoutout to Toby! His service was exceptional—attentive, friendly, and filled with great recommendations. He made sure our glasses were never empty and that we were having a fantastic time. The atmosphere was vibrant, and Toby's enthusiasm truly elevated the experience. Had Bottomless Brunch here yesterday and we couldn't fault anything, Danielle and Toni were amazing attentive and social and kept our glasses full haha the food was amazing, one of the best pizzas I've ever had. Unfortunately we had to cut our session short but we will definitely be returning. Brilliant selection of cocktails and beer!

Yesterday (10/10/24) we went there for a meal with my best friend. Both bar staff were absolutely amazing. I want to especially praise the older bartender who served us. What a lovely man! Please give him a raise! :)) food was amazing. We really enjoyed lunch and drink for £6. Big up Akenside!

Popped in for a pint and had a great time. Andrew from behind the bar looked after me well and was good crack. Moretti was on point and not badly priced. Only criticism is that they don't sell pickle onion crisps. Would of been 6 stars if they had.

Very good prices and good central location. Great atmosphere and even though I never tried the food what was being brought out looked very good. Plenty of space with pool table and music. Great 2-4-1 cocktails. Will visit next time I visit Newcastle

Great venue for sport- atmosphere was spot on with plenty of tvs to watch. Staff were accommodating and switched the tvs to different games. Great value of drinks with a great mid week offer £3.50 Amstel - bargain! We will be back for future football games!

Visited with friends on Thursday evening. Atmosphere was great with music at a suitable level to hear it but also still hear your conversations at the table - just what we love for a girly catchup. Drinks on offer were amazing. 4.50 for any cocktail on the menu all day every Thursday. Great way of trying something new without an expensive price tag. Staff were really efficient and cocktails were made and served quickly. We’re already planning on coming back for our next get together- next time we might even try their bottomless brunch which has rave reviews!

Just had an amazing night in thus place watching Liverpool smash Milan, great atmosphere, excellent service, used the app to order drinks and they cane quickly. Would highly recommend this venue.

Must download the app to order and order via this app. After waiting half an hour I asked if it had gone through. Unfortunately, no. Had to order again. Very mediocre quality food; typical British pub food from the chip shop. No vegetables in sight. Ordered BBQ Chicken. There was a vague cheese or bacon sauce on top. Fries and 3 calamari rings (or whatever passed for that). Edible in itself, but oh so unhealthy. Great Britain, do something about your food culture! The beer was delicious by the way! And of course: football, football and more football on 15 screens.

Food was good typical pub grub, The drinks selection on the bottomless brunch menu is amazing! I've attended many bottomless brunches in Newcastle the cocktails at the Akenside really stood out, they were so good! Highly recommend bottomless brunch, excellent value for money and the service we received was fantastic! 5*

Expensive. Busy pub and charges ,£6.25 for a pint of ale. Disgusting. I'm now in the Broad Chare which charges £4.80 for the equivalent. I would say this pub is better. 🤢🍺

Highly recommend the bottomless brunch to anyone. Couldn't fault it was absolutely brilliant

I ordered a pizza at the bar and told the young woman that my table was really dirty and sticky. A quarter hour past until she brought my pizza and a paper napkin to wipe the table. After that, the table was as sticky as before. I went to the bar to ask her to it properly, but ignored me though we faced each other for half a minute. It’s really not nice when you can’t put your phone or your book or anything on the table while you eat. It was Sunday night and not very full. It’s a pity, the pizza was good.

Toni and Ryan were fantastic, great service and made us all feel so welcome at bottomless brunch. Would highly recommend and would definitely come back for bottomless brunch.

Absolutely the best bottomless brunch we have been to quick service food was lovely, drinks constantly flowing and endless bottles of prosecco!! Fantastic lass serving us can't remember her name 🤣 she was really friendly and nice and nothing was a problem will defo go again xxx

While the bar was lovely I am very angry with a bar woman named Danielle, when I ordered a pint of old mount on draft she poured Half and then filled the rest with ice. I then asked why is there ice in my pint and she said that’s how it comes. I then corrected her and told her that it doesn’t while she proceeded to shout in my face while she poured me a fresh one and slammed it on the table I payed and walked away but she let it down.

Sent for bottomless brunch and could not fault it. Service was excellent at no point did any of our group have an empty glass the servers we super friendly and helpful food was ok and can honestly say I could not have drank another drink if u paid me at the end of the 2 hours I was full to the brim. We went as a group of 8 and we all agreed was a great experience

Came for bottomless brunch yesterday with a group of 11 of us, we were worried service might not be too quick as we were a large group to serve and it was bank holiday Sunday but the service was amazing. Wish I remembered our servers name because he was excellent! 10/10 for the bottomless brunch here, fab drinks selection and food options for everyone. Highly recommend 😊

We went to watch the game on Saturday, however it was a bit strange that there was no sound on the TVs despite being packed with football fans. They do bottomless Brunch so they tend to cater for that instead. We put our drinks on an empty reserved table before the party arrived and got told by a very snotty waitress to move them. Bit rude 😂 Bar staff were run ragged but generally really efficient & friendly. Just needed the sound.

Unbelievable service, unbelievable value, how they make money I do not know. How Vicky carries the bevs, I also do not know, she must be hench as out. Absolutely class, 10/10 would brunch again. Cheers!

Courtney and Ryan were fabulous, it was a busy post match weekend and the atmosphere was great, busy and organised. Food was great, but the standout was the service, both of these guys were attentive, professional and friendly. It was a bottomless brunch, they made some fab recommender cocktails which tasted and looked amazing. Thank you for rounding off our weekend, a day to remember.

Had the best bottomless brick experience here. Toni and Vicky were amazing hosts. Menu for food and drinks was amazing- we do a lot of bottomless brunches and this is one of the best! Was refused a replacement for a flat drink. The drink was on the menu and available, a member of the bar staff bought it out but the manager instructed her not to serve it because "They don't sell very much of it and it will go flat." Manger was rude, unreasonable and objectionable. Awful place, avoid at all costs.

Well what can I say .. booked for brunch on a Saturday forgetting the Newcastle match was on TV. The place was rammed and I thought I had made a bad choice. But oh how wrong I was ...table was ready drinks were ordered and arrived very quickly by Joe who was our server for the day and what a hoot he was .. food was fabulous and nothing was a problem even tho the staff were run off their feet. Will definitely be back .. what a pleasure it was .

Went for valentines meal, the food was excellent and the place felt super clean and comforting. Was served mostly by Jessica who was super friendly and made me some excellent cocktails. We will be back 😊

We always here at least 3-4 times a week. Staff are absolutely amazing, very polite, easy to chat. I've got few favorites in here too like Joe, Andrew, Ruth, Courtney, Kiara, Toby. These ppl are absolutely amazing very friendly. Talking about the atmosphere this is one of the best sports bars in Newcastle where you get to watch football, cricket, rugby if you're a sports enthusiasts. It's absolutely worth visiting and spending your time and getting serviced by these amazing people. Food is lovely too as they got a wide range of selection which satisfy all kinds of taste buds.

Went on Sunday night, football was on TV so pub was buzzing. If you are a sports fan, football, rugby, etc then this is the pub for you. It’s a really great place to with a crowd.

Go the Newcastle a fair bit for gigs on my own. Tend to eat here because the food is good and reasonably priced. Beer good too and staff always very pleasant and attentive.Seen some great live music too and Quayside is such a magical place.

Went to akenside today and this is the best pub I've been to in newcastle amazing views and amazing staff they were so lovely with everything and quick service and had good crack, the food portions were amazing and I saw cleaning happening when they had free time, such amazing staff can't thank them enough for going above and beyond and the decor for the rugby was amazing they definitely deserve this good review 😀

Went to akenside today and I'm going to make it my regular it was fantastic, really friendly staff with good crack and they went above and beyond can't thank them enough, it was very chill and not overwhelming environment and the food portions were great, very clean and food and drinks were very quick getting to our table via the app 👍

Great atmosphere nice to see a pub busy

Great location on the Quayside in a nice prominent building. I was expecting it to be a little nicer, but it's basically like weatherspoons, but more expensive. The whole time we we're there, no one cleared any of the many dirty tables filled with empty plates and glasses even though it wasn't busy and plenty of staff.

Came in this afternoon with a friend, we both had a cocktail made by michael the bar staff, which went down a treat with the amazing pizza we had, the rest of the staff were brillant too, will definitely be back!!

Ryan the bartender made our stay at the bar incredibly relaxing and enjoyable. When faced with an incredibly large Christmas party, he rose to the challenge and never said no to a request! Thank you Ryan, and the Akenside Terrace.

Popped in for food with friends. It’s been a number of years since previously visited but was very impressed. The food was really good, nice atmosphere, clean, and staff were friendly & attentive. I’d definitely recommend giving it a try.
