Brilliant place Brilliant service had brunch here to start my daughters hen do off and it was really good the only downside was they didn't take cash so had to pay for everyone on credit card so that was a downside but other than that it was really good.

Overall, our experience here was brilliant, the service was spot on, with really friendly staff who were the perfect level of attentive, and very patient with us when we got distracted chatting rather than looking at the menus! The food and drinks were fab, with very generous portions. The only tiny (for us) downside is that I was there with my Grandparents, and the toilets are down a relatively steep set of stairs - although we did manage it.

Visited for brunch. Food was lovely with very friendly staff. Let down by lack of accessibility (only toilets are down a steep set of stairs). Not the staff's fault but it was a shame there was a group a few tables away having loud queer-bashing conversation, hopefully not a reflection of the usual clientele.

Absolutely 10/10 cocktails from Mackson - not sure on the rest of them but he put so much care and attention into them we LOVED it ! Nice vibe too

This is such a quirky fun place for a foodie and the minimal menu means that everything they do they do excellently. The cocktail menu is quirky with some classics and jammy hour 2 for 12 cocktails is a winner. The food was gorgeous and the snug was a lovely cosy corner away from the more pub/bar busy vibe and created a very cute almost private dining experience for us due to noone else sitting In that area with us. My cocktail was amazing and even came with a fresh flower and as the others in the party don't drink they made mocktails based on the cocktails for them which was really lovely and made everyone feel extra special. There is no table service which is a shame especially if there are students drinking and you go for a meal with a totally different vibe but outside of that it's somewhere I would go to again.

Fantastic bottomless brunch at the Jam Jar. The food was delicious and well presented, and there were plenty of cocktails to choose from. Really enjoyed it. Value was also fantastic. The only thing I would say is that the cocktails were little on the sweet side, but that's personal preference.

We came for breakfast on a Saturday and returned on the Sunday because the food was delicious. We were served by a professional and kind woman called Rachel. She made us feel back at home (we are Irish!!) and her service was impeccable. Good reviews all round would strongly recommend Jam Jar. Thank you Racheal!

Definitely the jammiest spot in Newcastle

Had brunch here for the first time today. When we arrived it was pretty empty. The server came over straight away to take my drink order and it came out quickly. The coffee is lovely and the perfect temperature. The food is wonderful and so fresh. I really enjoyed going here and would not hesitate to return for brunch ! I had the chorizo hash which is served on sourdough. I opted to add a poached egg which was cooked to perfection.

Its Dog Friendly💜 A very Friendly place, just took a bit time for the food to come. The Benedict is a bit lack of favor can only taste the bacon, but i will come back for the Burger!! 🍔🍔

Ali was fantastic serving us with our bottomless brunch today! Always made sure we were topped us, nothing was too much trouble and even a great group photographer for our annual Christmas girls day out. Thanks for a great afternoon :)

Workers were super super friendly - best Bloody Mary I’ve ever had (only had four but wins a win) and have us some free desert! Legends. As I’m writing this review we just offered a free round of drinks because our food was slightly delayed. Smashhhhhh

Table was booked for the morning few days in advance, was told food wait is more than 1 hour. Pathetic excuse for a business ie don’t you expect to be busy on Sundays, every Sunday ?!?!? I presume it happens every week!!!! Also the place looked super dirty and sticky tables and floors, toilet adequate

THE BEST BRUNCH I’VE EVER HAD! Writing this review as we sit here. We brought our dog and it’s been the best customer service. Currently onto our 3rd bottle of Prosecco for bottomless brunch. The food was to die for and both plates cleared. We can’t wait to come back again. Fantastic food, even better service if that’s possible. Shoutout to the lovely host in the dungarees :)

Booked here two nights ago to have an evening meal. Got placed next to a loud speaker, couldn’t hear my partner. Constant bass. Bad music. Staff didn’t seem to care when we turned up after booking. Had a different menu to the website. Politely said to staff, not for us and cancelled our booking and left.

The food here is absolutely insane. I asked the lady who made my dinner and she said Jack was on that day. Honestly it was DELICOUS. I will go back here very soon.

Went here yesterday evening for some food with a couple mates, we each had some variation of beef or chicken burgers and fries which were delicious and scoffed down in minutes. Stayed for a few pints, one of which was flat but the staff were helpful and sorted it straight away. Nice food, nice vibe. Will likely be back next time we’re around jesmond.

i went on a girls trip and was recommended to go here by a friend. best decision of the whole trip!! really friendly atmosphere and all staff were really accommodating, they recommend some lovely cocktails for me, and even ended returning the day after to have some of their delicious food and more drinks. definitely would go again and would also recommend for affordable and quality cocktails!!

I came into jam jar tonight, as usual the drink and food quality was amazing. Not only do they create a friendly and warm atmosphere the staff are friendly. The cocktail menu has lots of choice and they taste amazing, using fresh fruit and nice garnish. Well done jam jar staff, keep up the good vibes.

I brought my daughter and her friends for her birthday for dinner and we had such a lovely evening. The meal was delicious and the cocktail ‘cosmic ballet’ was the star of the show! The staff were so helpful despite it being busy, taking time to recommend what I might like - they weren’t wrong! My daughter visits regularly with her friends and I’ll definitely be back with mine to try more of the cocktail menu! Thanks to all the staff for a lovely evening xx

i booked jam jar for my 21st birthday…. how wrong was i…. the staff were disgusting to me and my friends as soon as we arrived, they didn’t come check up on us or anything, we ordered cocktails and there was left over food in one of the cocktails🤢 they didn’t even want to remake the cocktails for us! the toilets were vile and had old sick marinading in the bins🤮 our strawberry daiquiris weren’t even half full and they went straight on the defensive side as soon as i said anything. they said they were ‘Josh, John and Kate’ however i think thse are false names. when my friend wanted a refund for the cocktail with left over food in the glass they originally charged her an extra £12 and not a refund!?!??? this is shocking, especially the fact i booked this for my 21st?! honestly i advise everyone to avoid this place like the plague…. HORRIBLE!

Well here we are in the Land of the Great Unwashed. Students, and the flattest beer I've ever had. Served by well intentioned staff that can't pull a pint. The place needs a total refurb and the toilets are a disgrace. I had the artery hardening jam burger which was ok. But hey, thats what I thought, give the place a try. Make up your own mind. I won't be back.......

Our trip to jam jar was made infinitely better by the amazing flo, she made the day for us and the only reason I’d come back is because of her!

Food was really lovely. However then it went down hill from then. Service became really slow and we were sat for half an hour or more waiting for a cup of tea and coffee to order. When the tea and coffee came, the milk tasted weird, not out of date but just a bit off.

Food was excellent, one person in our party said it was one of the best burgers she had ever eaten (Chicken Castro Giovanni). Good gluten free options and also a good choice of starters and sides for anyone not fancying a burger. The Stinky fires with the blue cheese were great!

Nice venue, Good atmosphere. Have eaten there and had drinks. Would recommend it.

The place is lively vibrant and full of young ppl drinking having a good time students/young professionals lots of tables outside and in , staff are amazing very friendly and hospitality is great totally on the ball . However the food (a basic meal) is somewhat questionable!! The burger patties are tastie (l don't know how) but the chips especially the thrice fried are dire!! If they were real fresh potatoes then yes , the were thrice fried frozen specimens' appalling !l mean come on we talking basic standard chips here but charging extra for them shame on me for ordering ??? Newcastle ratings need to seriously look at this place

Came for food on our overnight stay, had the Stilton burger which was delicious, on that basis we had breakfast the following morning and once again faultless, good service from the staff, nothing too much trouble, would recommend

We went for a bank holiday drink with a friend and we requested a drink off the menu. Nathan made sure the honey margaritas were fantastic before serving and the service from him was fantastic though out our visit. Will definitely recommend to friends!!

This place was absolutely amazing! Here on holiday from Southampton. Went for the "Return Of The Mac" can safely say that it was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time! Staff were great and the place had a great vibe to it. Would recommend this place to anyone!

Bottomless brunch yesterday food nice and so were the waiting staff. However we bought another bottle of prosecco one of the group wasn't well so 3 out of the 5 of us left the 4th went for a vape, I was asked by the manager to go and see her then to be told we weren't allowed back in as we had too much to drink not even to go to the toilet and our table had been cleared, the manager said it was bottomless brunch when I pointed out we had bought another bottle of prosecco he shrugged and walked away. We were made to pay before we started the food and drink as they apparently they have had alot of customers doing a runner. Considering I walk with a stick and have arthritis I told them I wouldn't get far but we all paid in advance. The manager seemed scared that we were drunk and would cause trouble but there hadn't been any issue not a crossed word and we had all a good time. If he can't cope with people who are drunk I don't know why he's working in the trade I've worked in the same trade and have never treated any customer like that especially when there hadn't been any issues or trouble . It just seemed we were stopped coming back in just incase we caused trouble. I even spoke to the doorman and asked if there had been an issue with us and he said not at all. It was all very strange.

Get you to pay for bottomless brunch then don't let you back in after a smoke for being unsteady on your feet. We caused no problems at all and got treat disgusting. We are all over 40 years of age not kids being rowdy

Hands down best chicken burger I've ever consumed. Great atmosphere friendly staff well controlled being on Osbourne road. The sides are bang on and not bad at all price think it was just shy of £60 for three of us to eat and drink like kings 💪

I’ve been to jam jar on a few occasions and I must say Emma stands out as a gem in the crown that Jam Jar has on Osborne Road. Unbelievable service, excellent recommendations and a pleasure to talk to.

Went for breakfast here and was pleasantly surprised. Food was brilliant, however service was relatively slow (seems to be a common theme here). Staff were great though and extremely polite making the visit from start to finish pleasant.

I visited here for a bottomless brunch. The food was wonderful. I had the full Jesmond but I wish I'd tried the pancakes because they looked superb. My only qualm would be the service for non alcoholic drinks was a little slower but obviously its far easier to notice the need for fizz refill because of their clever system. Really enjoyable meal.

Visited Jam Jar today for a quick bite. The smash bowl with halloumi and egg was truly scrumptious and my husband really enjoyed the full breakfast. The place has a great atmosphere and nothing was too much trouble for Flo our waitress.

Jason looked after us so well girls brunch for 20th. Could have done with more food with the boozy brunch but Jason was very attentive and polite! Couldn’t have looked after us better ! Shame he can’t keep his own tips from the girls!

Spot on to be honest, Burger bun could of done with a bit more toasting I guess 😊. Scraping the bottom of the barrel there though haha. Friendly staff and didn't mind one of the lads smashed a glass :/ lol

Food portions were very small and not filling at all. Ribeye steak was just a poor cut of meat and was definitely not ribeye. Didn’t tell us what drinks were in the £3 pint deal or what cocktails were de we assumed all of them...

The staff were really kind and attentive. Me and my boyfriend order starters and mains as well as cocktails. The cocktail list was really good with a lot of variety. The starters were the best part (we had the chicken strips and deep fried Camembert). Mains were good but nothing compared to the starters. Would definitely go back but for a selection of the starters in stead of a main meal :)
