Lunya in Liverpool

Amazing food and drink and if that isn't enough, a deli shop so you can buy a bit of that food brilliance. The staff are welcoming and attentive and the atmosphere very good!

Lunya is always our first choice for an early evening pre-match meal. The staff are friendly and efficient and service is quick and the location is good - less than 5 minutes from Central station. Lunya offers a good range of tasty tapas which is excellent for anyone who likes to try lots of dishes. The dessert sharing menu is a fantastic end to the meal - when we have enough room left! We usually go to Lunya when we visit Liverpool. The food is always great and the staff are lovely and are helpful with my dietary requirements. They have a great range of Spanish gins and some excellent sherries alongside their other drinks. The deli shop is also well worth popping in to.

Love Lunya tapas. I introduced my husband to Lunya after a shopping trip in January and he loved the choices and taste too- he’s been recommending it to his friends since. I don’t eat meat but there’s plenty of tasty choice for me too. My friend and I have booked Lunya for a pre theatre meal next week. Can highly recommend it. Great menu, great tapas and a great atmosphere.

Hadn’t been to Lunya for a while, not sure why, I think because there’s so much choice of places to eat in Liverpool. Went with family and were all still so impressed with the service and warm welcome! Food was freshly cooked and brought out to us soon as ready. Delicious! Also good choice of drinks-we chise Spanish red wine finished off with a scrumptious Spanish sherry! A lovely late afternoon meal! Will be back!

Lunya is our go-to. We have friends who raved about it and it’s their favourite, so we started going about 2 years ago and s said, it’s our go-to for lunch or dinner. I was passing Lunya on my way home from work and thought I’d try it for lunch. I was very pleasant surprised. The food was excellent and really unique. Service was great lovely waitress. I’m going to try it again for dinner and would definitely recommend you try this restaurant.

Visited Lunya before the theatre. It was great food, lovely staff and excellent value. We were well looked after and the only downside was that we had to rush off to the theatre. The Tapas was fantastic, well worth a visit.

My Husband and I love to come and sit on one of sofas and relax with a few Tapas and couple of bottles of wine , late afternoon /early evening . Lovely comfortable atmosphere , nice to unwind after a busy week.

We had booked but the portal hadn't worked. The staff found us a table and we're very kind. The new Italian waiter was knowledgeable and engaging. We loved the way he contrasted Italian and Spanish wines.

I have been eating at Lunya on my trips to L:iverpool for many years. The food is of the highest quality and because it is sourced in Catalunya it is the real deal. There is a vast selection of wonderful Spanish wines, of which the Monsant and Priorat are my favourites. The friendly, knowledgeable and efficient staff make it a delight to eat in a very beautiful environment.

Incredible! Catered for coeliacs extremely well and could adapt majority of dishes to be gluten free if it did contain contain gluten.

Called in to have a couple glasses of vermut, after a pleasant evening eating elsewhere. Nice selection. Seated at table, drinks brought to table. Great way to end our evening.

Went here for a very late lunch pre theatre meal. Lunya is a great place to go when in Liverpool with that super Spanish vibe. The food is delicious, one tasty tapas dish after another. Nice surroundings, chilled environment, 4th visit. Portion size, esp the fried chicken twists was silly, and there was an add on for this item. Four prawns on one of the dishes. Four tapas plus one bread and two drinks = £56. I know things are tough and it’s city centre, but it’s too expensive. You’ve ask for honest feedback and here it is. But, good luck and I hope there is a continuing market for your offering.

Very good place for a meal, the tapas were cooked to right point and they were very tasteful, spatially the fried chicken, it was tremendous.

Have been here and its sister restaurant Lunyalita a couple of times now and have been really impressed. The food quality and choice are at least as good as, if not better than, restaurants my wife and I dined in, on a recent tour of Andalusia. The dishes are so authentic and the service is second to none. We will be in Liverpool again soon and this is definitely on the to do list. I can't recommend this place enough - exceptional!

Having been a loyal customer of Lunya, since it first opened a few doors down the lane many years ago, our recent experiences here have taken a downward turn. I understand the hike in energy costs and inflation may have taken its toll on the business, but when this begins to reflect on customer experience, than our days for dining here have come to an end. While the food here has always been excellent, today we were disappointed. The chicken Croquetas, more or less tasteless, but our biggest disappointment was the Seabass, our portion was the tail end, no more than 2 inches in length, what 25-30grams of fish max ! which when including the supplement, cost £8.82, personally, I think a little excessive. The total bill including 2 pints and a glass of wine amounted to £75.80, which I don't have an issue with, but when I factor in that we had to go to the Bean Cafe a couple of doors down to have a coffee, because its warmer there, as my wife was cold in Lunya, that kinda sums up our experience. Pity really, as over the years its been our favourite Spanish restuarant in Liverpool. And as for the five ladies who ran in off the street to use the toilets, I don't have an issue with that, but can you ask them not to use their vapes please.
