Bar Bodega in Liverpool

This is one of the best places to go on a Friday or Saturday night as you avoid a lot of the clubbing type. Good music, staff are cheerful and seem to be enjoying themselves and the prices aren't bad either. Love the little booths and the lighting. Would perhaps be a good date spot during the week!

Before starting a weeks holiday in Albufeira we thought we would have a day out in Liverpool visiting some of the great craft beer bar's and real ale pubs our fantastic city has to offer. This has to be one of the coolest bars in this area ,walking into this candle lit bar is awesome with a lovely interior nice wall art and plenty of seating options,plus a really eye-catching serving bar. After a quick study of the beer's on offer we decided to have a go of their extensive bottled range. My twin brother Stephen and I started with bottles of Steam Anchor Brewery and these bottles were served iced cold and the beer sparkling and we just chilled out in this very cosy bar. This is a delicious hoppy beer that is a great session beer and very tasty and so easy to drink and it's a beer i could easily stay on all day. As we were the first customers of the day we had the bar more or less to ourselves and could really appreciate what a lovely bar this is. After our delicious first beer we decided to have one more and opted for a lovely bottle of Vedett. This is a classic Belgium beer that I really enjoy and have sampled on many holidays to Belgium over the years. It was so nice just enjoying our delicious beer's in such a cool bar. These are the type of places I love to visit on any trip into Liverpool and we had a great time in here before we moved on. Bar Bodega is really easy to locate on Colquitt Street in an area packed with pubs, bars and restaurants. Opening hours are; Monday & Tuesday,closed. Wednesday to Saturday,5pm till 3am. Sunday,5pm till midnight. a superb cosy bar and one I highly recommend you visit if your in the area .

Dined at the restaurant very dissapointed with the food my chicken curry had no chicken in and my partners prawn dish was dry and sent back

Night out with friends, really nice place not to cramped even though small. Drinks at a reasonable price and bar staff seem to be cool. Even though it is a small place there was plenty of room to throw some shape's.

Located between Bold street and seel street its easy to find. I love how genuine the staff and customers are. We were lucky to be here on a night were it was an open mic free for all. Lots of musicians turned up with guitars and played a variety of tunes. It amazes me how much talent is in liverpool. Cold refreshing beers, even for the ladies in our group (when in rome etc) Stayed for a couple of rounds as the vibe was really good. Felt completely safe and at see even though it was quite busy. Would recommend I am currently ranked number 1 by trip advisor for my regular and genuine reviews. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff and great cocktails. A fun a laid back open mic music night. Anything goes. We did some free form rapping and the lads played 'You Sexy Thing' by Hot Chocolate. Bring your mates and your guitar. Covers and originals. A hidden gem.

I like the rustic cellar feel to the bar. I believe Rookwood are renovating it in line with their restaurant, which some people may feel will spoil the ambience.

Cosy, great atmosphere, friendly staff then went into restaurant for a lovely banquet meal which we all thoroughly enjoyed

Visited here recently with a party of work friends - what a treat! The restaurant is situated in a very atmospheric and Cosmopolitan area of Liverpool which is fitting as the moment you enter this venue you're hit with an altogether great vibe. As well as the restaurant there is a busy bar (bar staff are friendly and extremely efficient) where you can soak up the atmosphere before going through into the restaurant area which again has a good atmosphere. The service is second to none and the food is excellent. Would recommend Tapas Menu A (for a minimum of 8 people). I was amazed at the quantity of each course delivered to the table, not to mention the standard of food; really delicious and every offering cooked to perfection with obviously only top quality fish, meat etc being sourced by the chef. As in the bar, service was friendly, courteous, and professional. It's very apparent that this establishment cares about its customers. Altogether, it was a perfect evening and I'm looking forward to sampling more off their extensive menu in the near future. Don't miss!
