Lumberjack Cafe in Southwark

Lumberjack Café en Londres es uno de esos lugares acogedores que encuentra una vez y de inmediato quiere volver. En el momento en que entras, te reciben con una cálida sonrisa y una genuina sensación de bienvenida. El personal es encantador amable, atento, y claramente se preocupan por hacer de su experiencia una gran. El café era suave y rico, elaborado con cuidado, y maridado perfectamente con uno de sus pasteles recién horneados (recomiendo encarecidamente el croissant de almendras si lo tienen! ). El ambiente es relajado y fresco sin esfuerzo ideal para ponerse al día con un amigo, leer un libro o simplemente empaparse en el zumbido reconfortante de un buen café. Ya sea que sea local o simplemente de visita, Lumberjack se siente como una pequeña porción de calma en la ciudad.

Amazing coffee and cake. We managed to grab a table downstairs for a morning brew and everything was wonderful (a few vegans options). They have a little shop which is worth a browse

We ordered a flat white, macchiato and a cinnamon bun to share. We went to a local park to enjoy them. Unfortunately I saw about a centimetre of what looked like a grey hair sticking out of my half of the bun. I pulled it. It turned out to be about 4cm long and had another strand attached both with sticky globules of icing attached. I took it back to the café. The friendly woman who'd served me said she thought it was 'part of the icing' and that it looked 'natural'. I have to say I was surprised at her response. She repeated the word 'natural' and then I asked 'Would you eat it?'. She eventually offered another bun. I said 'No thanks' and left. I was disappointed by her response and surprised that she just didn't apologise and offer a refund and not attempt to debate. Small businesses have a hard time, hence I didn't make a huge thing about it and tried to bring it to their attention as discretely as possible. Making the response even more disappointing.

Came to the Lumberjack this Friday and straight away was greeted by the 2 lovely staff. The coffee was really well made too. I managed to leave my bag behind and one of the staff ran after me to give it back, I really can’t say thank you enough!

I come here a few times a week for coffee. Coffees always great, service is great and, although I haven’t tried it, the food looks great.

My sister and brother in law live next door, so I get my coffee here when visiting them, coffee is excellent, the slim blonde lady who was there today is absolutely lovely. A really nice little place.

Excellent coffee and the food looked very good too . Just a quick stop here before having lunch over the way - everything looked very good and our coffee was very good too - nice relaxed atmosphere and pleasant staff :)

Haven't eaten here but as someone who consider himself as a proper coffee drinker can verify that they serve one the best coffee blends in the area !

Really super food, carefully prepared and a wonderful range of proper coffees. A really excellent find and definitely going to be on my list of great breakfast and brunch places!

Have visited here a few times now and always found staff to be polite and helpful. Nice strong coffee is served and good whilst quite basic is nicely presented and tasty. Menu is fine but could be made more extensive go accommodate lunches but would still recommend this local establishment for a pleasant and relaxing experience.

Been to the cafe a few times which was great. But on this visit was a bit let down as I take a friend there to have a light lunch and coffee and we had salad and sausage roll was ok seem stale. But was to hungry do eat it, I was a bit hungry so had a cake which was chocolate and cherry the Worst cake ever man it was so dry that the chocolate was hard and were they cut the piece before mine and then the whole cake just sat there in the the open just got dry really dry. Please don’t let this gem of a cafe go down hill. Looking to visit again.

We visited the cafe on hot Saturday morning for some brunch. We noticed the cafe did a bottomless brunch menu and upon ordering we were told we were the first customers to try it. The food was excellent, good sized portions and very tasty and the price of the bottomless brunch was good value. Tash made sure are glasses were always topped up and she was very friendly and accommodating. We really enjoyed our visit and would definitely come back for bottomless brunch again, or normal brunch to this quaint and friendly Camberwell Cafe.

Great coffee, and good selection of cakes and snacks. They’re a little overpriced but I think you pay a premium as they use local suppliers. You don’t pay a premium for the staff though, a couple are lovely but one or two seem to be in competition around who can be the most miserable.

Came here for brunch with a couple of friends. It is a small local cafe with a very simple menu (avocado and/or bacon on sourdough, eggs benedict, smoked salmon) as well as a selection of cakes. I had the eggs and avocado on toast which was very nice and good value. Would recommend.

I stopped in this little cafe for a coffee but couldn't resist the cakes which were on display as I came in the door. On recommendation, I had a (generous) slice of the red velvet cake which was delicious. The coffee was good too. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was relaxing.

After walking past Lumberjack many times we decided to visit for brunch. While ordering our food the staff member then said to other other staff member "what did he just order?' while I was stood there, she then continued to sigh when the other staff member told her. The lunch was ok (avo on toast) but the banana bread was a rip off! £4 for a very small burnt slice, very disappointing considering there is a big sign advertising it outside. The place felt more like an office instead of a cafe as there were so many people sat on their laptops. We will not be returning.
