Luigis Gelato in Portsmouth

The most delicious gelato !! Great customer service too! Would highly recommend. Most probably the best gelato ever !!

This place is a favourite of our daughter for years. The ice cream tastes amazing. Fresh, bursting with flavour, and just the right amount of sweetness. They make daily small batch of their ice cream themselves in the shop with fresh dairy. Today, the shop owner kindly showed us the back of the shop where the ice cream was made. There were pasteurisation machine where the fresh dairy would go, an ice cream maker and a freezer. I can testify that everything there looks spotless and squeaky clean! He then explained to us the process of ice cream making, which is rather a science and an art. I can also see a diploma certificate on the wall on the subject. I can't believe how lucky we are in Southsea to have a place like this. The ice cream tastes great, the place is great and the owner are very polite, knowledgeable, and obviously passionate about gelato.

Este salón de gelato es una gran adición a Albert Rd. El gelato es siempre fresco y los sabores son muy sabrosos especialmente el pistacho, chocolate, cereza y vainilla especialmente recomendado. Es un buen lugar para sentarse y disfrutar viendo pasar el mundo con o salir y disfrutar de un delicioso placer en casa. El personal es muy agradable y amable y vale la pena un viaje aquí para un helado.

Recientemente regresé a Portsmouth y revisited Luigi s el waffle banofee era encantador mi amigo tenía una gloria knickerbocker y me encantó, mi hija tenía waffle Nutella y mi marido tenía Waffle de fresa todos nos encantó nuestras opciones y el helado realmente sabía casero pero algo de hielo salones de crema de las cadenas más grandes que el helado puede probar un poco sintético. Definitivamente iría aquí de nuevo.

Pasando con mis compras en una tarde caliente, que tenía sentido para sentarse y tener algo de helado. Simplemente me fui por una simple 2 bolas y tenía fresa y menta. Fue también muy sabroso, veo en el menú hay un montón de extra opcional que incluye waffles y cafés. Puede tener que probarlos otra vez. Bien vale la pena el dinero para el sabor y justo lo que necesitaba en un día soleado. Si estás cerca de Canoa lago o el frente, entonces es sólo un corto paseo hasta llegar a la carretera de Albert y tener algo de helado, no le decepcionará.

Visited Luigis twice over the bank holiday weekend and all I can say is great homemade ice cream and really friendly staff. Will be making more stops there over the summer. Just like to add that the owner was very accommodating to the children too! Highly recommended!

Popped into Luigis and it enjoyed it so much I took my Dad and sister to visit in the same week. Really nice, clean, inexpensive little parlor. The home-made ice cream is delicious - one scoop is ample if you just want a taster. I also had a coffee which was very nice and good value. The staff were very polite and helpful. I am sure I will be visiting again in the near future!

Some of the tastiest Gelato I've had, great service from the young man behind the till. Definitely will come back again BUT a few things threw us off. The waffle wasn't warm, which confused us as we expected waffles fresh out of the machine and we saw the owner tell the young man off behind the counter for serving Sorbet with Ice Cream although the customer insisted, and he foretold her of the complications. Still, amazing and would recommend, just need to brush up on a few areas

Went here and had the Nutella waffles with the vanilla ice cream and it was all scrumtious! Lovely, welcoming staff, would recommend a visit.

This Ice cream shop is local to me and we visit frequently. They make home made ice cream which is delicious. I particularly like the waffles. The owner is so welcoming and we can try the constantly changing flavours before deciding. Highly recommended,
