I visited Lucy’s with my husband and 2 year old son for breakfast on a trip to Southport. The lite breakfast was delicious and honestly one of the tastiest sausages I’ve had. My son had jam on toast with the crust cut off and cut into squares. Perfect! Plenty of tea in a teapot and extra hot water. Very Covid secure with table dividers and hand sanitisers. Only small issue we had was the the toast was hard and cold when served to the table but it was still delicious and we ate it straight away. Very warm and friendly atmosphere and would definitely visit again.

Having finally completed the xmas shopping, I found this cafe by chance. A superb olde worlde cafe, spotlessly clean and warm. The service was excellent. I went for the £12.95 two course meal. The pie was superb, real home made and not a puff pastry imposter, and additional condiments were supplied upon request. Then came the sticky toffee pudding - all in the name of research on my Mother's behalf... absolutely delicious. Superb ambience. Superb service. Superb food.Superb value.I can heartily recommend this wee gem and will return with Mother in tow.

Have walked past this place numerous times & only called in today because it was raining & not far from the car park. I was glad I did. My husband and I both ordered lunch, mine being a toasted chinese chicken wrap with side salad & my husband's being a toasted bacon, chicken & lettuce and tomato club sandwich with side salad & two hot drinks which came with a complimentary biscuit each : )) The food was excellent, as was the service & the place was spotless. There is an extensive menu of soups, sandwiches, full meals, small lite bites, afternoon teas, desserts etc and the prices are very reasonable. When we first walked in, there were two tables reserved & when we left, every table was taken, which speaks for itself. We will definitely be visiting again and won't be walking past next time.

Lucy's is just tucked away from the main road but a sign on the corner points the way.We were there for breakfast. I had the light breakfast, which was nice, perfectly cooked and presented and quite enough for me. My husband had the full English and he was very impressed. Both breakfasts were very tasty and obviously used good quality ingredient. Lucy's is small, clean, has character and lots of charm. Quite a few regulars come in and enjoy a cup of tea and a cake and are greeted by staff. Friendly and professional service, good food, charming surroundings - it doesn't get much better.Would we go again - definitely. Would we recommend Lucy's - absolutely.

We called here for elevenses whilst out & about in town [needed a drink & a sit down] I spotted a sign on the corner of anchor street, so we went in, we got a latte each and when we saw the scones on the cake display, we succumbed, and glad we did, they were very moreish!. The lattes were nice too, this is a lovely little place, wooden panelled walls and floral clothed tables with cushioned seats. The staff are very nice and the place seems quite popular, The menu is quite extensive, much more than just tea & cakes. Breakfasts, hot & cold sandwiches, main meals, soups e.t.c. Reasonable prices, and with the takeaway kiosk busy next door, It seems like they've got it right, Keep it up, we'll be back.

Ashamed to say I have never been here in my life but will definitely come back. Quite a small and obviously very successful little tea room/cafe serving mainly lunches and cakes. We had egg sandwich and a cheese and pickle sandwich freshly made with salad garnish and beautifully presented followed by generous portion of home made caramel shortbread. We were sat by the cakes and they all looked delightful and were spoilt for choice . Staff friendly and toilets clean. Not the best place for a pram or wheelchair as be a bit cramped but other than that it was perfect .

I think perhaps breakfast is the highlight here, along with the standard tea / coffee shop experience. We went for an early lunch and have to say the food was disappointingly average (sandwich and a portion of chips, with a cottage pie). It wasn’t great.

My mum and I came across this cafe when wandering near where we were staying. Great find -delicious freshly home made food and lovely staff - the cream tea was yummy. Obviously frequented by locals which is always a good sign. If you enjoy good basic food & don't mind being off the main drag then it's perfect.

Had a lovely visit to this establishment, the plain scone was delicious and just was I needed after my lunch of scampi, chips and peas. The best part was the thick milkshake which clearly has fruit as the base for the drink.

We popped in for lunch and everything presented was fresh and appetizing. We were pleasantly surprised to discover drink top ups were free as we didn't see this noted anywhere and only found out when I pointed out they had charged for just one coffee each when we had two.

Having visited previously and enjoyed everything, we were disappointed. This time we were cramped into a small corner and had to wait quite a while to be served. Not all the food was available. We waited over forty five minutes for the foodto be produced. We ordered Fanta and sparkling water, none of which were hardly sparkling at all, plus the replaceable tops had been removed from the bottles enabling the water to go even flatter. We could not attract the waiters attention as they were busy. We will not be visiting again.

This is an excellent tea shop and restaurant. It's clean, comfortable and in the centre of town. Very friendly and helpful staff. The food is very good and reasonably priced. My egg mayonnaise sandwich had more filling than I've ever seen before, and the free filter coffee refill was most welcome. I'll certainly come here again.

Best breakfast in Southport. Look beyond the chintz and see a lovely friendly coffee shop with fabulous home cooked food. Brilliant breakfasts, Hot Chocolates filled to brimming with a little more on the side. Lucy and her husband achieve a lovely balance of attention and leaving customers to enjoy their food.

I only used the take away part of this place and I'll be honest it was brilliant. They made me a fresh chicken and bacon blt and it was incredible. The chicken was warm and the bacon is cooked while you wait. The prices are really reasonable and I will be going again probably daily!

So glad we chose Lucy's to flee a sudden hailstorm! We got a friendly welcome and were quickly served good coffee, crisp, tasty panini (from the day's specials, roast lamb in subtly spicy mint marinade), quiche and great chips (fluffy AND crunchy), and an old-fashioned toasted teacake full of plump sultanas and currants. All at very reasonable prices Slightly hidden down a side street but well worth seeking out. Big thumbs up.

This had to be one of the best lunches I have had in quite a long while. The menu is very varied and I had a great deal of trouble deciding what to have. I did chose the tuna and cheese melt accompanied with a bowl of chips. My friend had a salad- we both agreed that our food was delicious. My sandwich was served on very fresh bread with a lovely small salad and some coleslaw. The service was excellent - staff were very helpful - and a really nice touch they came round offering us a refill for our hot drinks. Next time we are in Southport we will be back and would recommend our friends do the same

Visited Jan16 for lunch. Ordered the prawn sandwich and the egg mayonnaise sandwich, 1 cup of broccoli and cheese soup, 1 cappuccino, 1 latte and lemon drizzle cake and a japs type cake. The sandwiches were not the biggest i'd ever had, but the bread was very fresh and the accompanying salad parts were even fresher! The soup came with a roll and was extremely flavoursome, i would definately have this again. The bill was around £18, the cakes, drinks and soups were nicely priced, but the prawn sandwiches i think were £5.75ish which was alot for what they were. However, i could have chosen a cheaper sandwich! We did really enjoy the food, especially the freshness and would visit again.

We came to the coffee lounge this afternoon for our pre-arranged afternoon tea. I have had afternoon teas delivered from there on 3 occasions previously in Southport and they have always been excellent so we went with high expectations that one in the lounge would be equally good, if not better. Unfortunately it was extremely disappointing. I had contacted in advanced and paid deposits for each person and received an email from them detailing the menu but the afternoon teas contained no quiche or sausage rolls, no salad or crisps as had been promised and the sandwich selection was uninspiring (only cheese and pickle and ham). When we tried the scones they were cold, hard and stale and frankly inedible (we think the scones and very small pieces of cake had been previously frozen). The only option the waitresses could offer were 2 clingfilmed left over scones from the display cabinet between 4 people. She did say she had tried to contact the owner whilst we were there but received no reply. We live in Northampton and travelled several hundred miles to take our elderly parents out for a treat but were left feeling very disappointed. I emailed the owner but received no response.

Having walked nearly 10 miles along the beach, the dunes and through the pinewoods, Kitty’s Tea Rooms were a very welcome sight! I only wanted a cup of tea but couldn’t resist the coffee walnut cake (YUM) and a very tasty Club Sandwich. Very friendly staff, and a great atmosphere. Perfect.
