Just spent £50 on without doubt the worst takeaway I have ever tasted Tasted as if it was cooked in candle wax no meat in spring roll Very very bad don’t wast your hard earned cash I never write a review ever Felt the good people of Steeple Claydon deserve better …

We do enjoy supporting local businesses where we can but last nights takeaway from Lucky Star was our last. Ordered a typical meal for two. We were told 40-50 min wait, no problem. After 1 hr 15 mins we rang to check where our order was. 1 hr 25 mins it turned up. It was cold and the dishes were very bland. We ended up throwing half out as it wasn’t palatable. My husband rang the manager to talk about it, only to be met with resistance and rudeness. 10% off a meal was offered for tonight only, he declined to refund the low quality meal we waited a long time for. Unfortunately we won’t be back.

Terrible takeaway service. Was told it was going to be an hour for delivery. Chased after it was 15 mins late, told on its way. Chased again after 30 mins late, still told its on its way. Not happy with this at all and they didn’t seem bothered that they were so late delivering it. Won’t use them again.

We discovered this chinese relatively recently and haven't had a bad meal yet. The food is always lovely, deliveries on time and piping hot from friendly driver. Only complaint is that they ONLY take cash! This is a huge inconvenience as we don't generally carry cash as a rule, so we have to go out, to get money, to get a delivery! Ridiculous. Specially with the covid contactless thing, forcing people to handle money, so one star removed.

Ordered at 7pm on Saturday evening. Told it would be delivered (1 mile away) at 8pm. Thought an hour was a long time but hey ho it is a Saturday. Phoned back at 8.20 and was told they had got busy and it would be another 20 minutes and would arrive at 8.40. At 9pm it was eventually delivered. An hour late, 2 hours after our initial order. The driver did say sorry but that was it. They were happy to take our £33.50 with no hint of any discount. Obviously they are so busy they can not give a damn about their customers! Food was good but will never bother to order again.

Order once a week and always comes within stated time. Very tasty and reasonably priced. Can’t fault it

Ordered delivery - came within the time specified - food hot and very tasty! Highly recommend the red curry as spicy and not too hot with lots of chicken and veg.

This great takeaway has moved into the Prince of Wales pub in Steeple Claydon, it remains to offer good food at reasonable prices, a friendly service and still has delivery. if you so wish you can order your food, have a drink in the pub, eat your meal there or take it home. A win, win solution!

First time ordering from here after recommendations from friends. Delighted we did. Food was delicious, hot and on time. They even deliver as far out as Finmere. Allow 45 mins for delivery to Finmere. The duck spring rolls were so tasty. Well done Lucky Star.

This small outlet is in the village of Twyford. It serves lovely food and the owners are prepared to alter their menu slightly to accommodate your needs. Well worth a phone call to order. You will certainly enjoy!

Lucky Star Takeaway is in the small village of Twyford, a place you just would not expect to find a Takeaway. Its operated from a tiny outlet and unless you know about it you probably would not find it. Its well worth seeking out as its the best Chinese Takeaway I have ever come across. The menu is extensive and the prices reasonable. Portions are good and you are able to watch the chefs cooking your food. They offer a delivery service to the local villages and is very popular. Give it a try - you wont be disappointed.

took a while to arrive but was hot enough so can't complain. food was OK, good saag paneer, chicken pakora were OK, bonus points for shredded chicken inside. makhani daal was kind of weird, it should be slow cooked but this was definitely not, the lentils were chewy. good peshwari naan. pointless tiny bag of salad! I will stick to the bhuna and rice next time and go to the mother in law for the Punjabi dishes!

Came here in a group of 11 for a birthday. Service was not great, no major issues, just not very friendly. Food was average, nothing special. Portion size was very small, we all got the set menu and all left still hungry. For how expensive it was, I expected much better.

Since changing hands the food has gone down hill badly potion size small & quality even to the extent of food poisoning on Friday evening from a curry I'd rather travel further afield to get a half decent takeaway again. Should never of changed hands

Yet again very satisfied indeed. Took my work colleague in to get us both a penang curry and show him this is the best thai by far. He was absolutely over the moon and had to but it again to take home for his other half . Staff as friendly as always, I cannot praise this place any more!
