My son got the wrong rice and was not keen of it and price gone up

22:45 for order deliver latest 22:15 - rang 5 times with no pick up on the phone for also 5 rings

I highly recommend lucky house for a decent Chinese!! Delivery was a little later than what we were told, but it was is worth the wait, the food was absolutely gorgeous and full and of flavour and good quality. We’ve struggled for a while to find a decent Chinese and we’ve an our new one. It’s on the little bit more expensive side but it’s so worth it. We will definitely be back!

Did the restaurant take a dump, microwave it, then serve it? Because it tasted like they did.

Food was fantastic, roast duck on mixed meat fried rice is, as ever, tip top. Platter for one was also great, the ribs were huge and plenty of meat on them.

Usual good quality food, 15 mins early - not a problem for us but could be for some. Not much more to say really, will continue to use 👍

Don’t even bother! Food cold late and the the order missing ! Phoned restaurant and was told get refund or wait !! Absolutely dreadful and I’m a tourist

Food was off. Had to throw straight in the bin. Called Lucky House who told us to call JustEat for a refund. JustEat refused to help. £30 down the drain. Don't waste your time or money.

Chips were like cardboard and all the food was cold !!

Food overall was the usual good standard apart from the mixed meat with cashews which was laced with garlic, far too much. Delivery time was 25 mins late but can put that down to it being a Saturday night. Will continue to order as food has always been good overall.

Who cares how good food is if it’s over 30 minutes later than the longest expected delivery time. Not impressed and this was after being told it was on its way after 15 mins late!!

Lemon chicken a little dry/overcooked, but still tasty. Everything else ok. Delivered in good time.

Food was really nice and fresh good size portions. Delivery was between 7 20 and 7 40 the food turned up at 8 20 was a bit hangry by then.

Absolutely terrible service, waited over 2 hours for the food to arrive when originally stated 60 mins. When the food arrived, it was cold and was missing items. Phoned the restaurant, and they didn't seem bothered. they just told me to claim a refund. Threw what did turn up in the bin. Gave 1 star as I couldn't give 0. AVOID! AVOID!

The worst takeaway, we've ever had. Ive taken photos of the amount of food we had to throw away. After waiting over 2 hours, the food wasn't hot, and appeared and tasted like it was cooked the day before, or maybe longer, and heated up. Not freshly cooked at all. And not hot enough when it got to us, in line with food safety guidelines. Thank goodness we didnt have rice! Definitely won't be ordering again. £20 spent, less than £6 refund offered.

Ordered for delivery 5:45 and came at 5:44 so absolutely bang on there! Bang bang chicken - Amazing 😍, Ribs - not good, dry and tasteless. Both chow mein & Sweet and sour great. Will continue to order from here but swerve the ribs in future.

duck was over cooked in the curry the duck in orange was way to sweet other than that was nice

First time ordering from this Chinese, the food takes absolutely ages to be delivered. Nearly 2 hours later and the food arrives. It wasn’t worth the wait. The food is lukewarm and tasteless like a frozen meal from iceland. I wouldn’t order again and wouldn’t recommend this Chinese either.

I have been waiting 2 hours so far and no Chinese has arrived. It may say delivered but still waiting. Really disappointed I won’t be ordering or recommending again.

Delivery time became much longer after order was placed but was delivered within that time. Hot and decent.

We ordered as it said 45-60 mins delivery. It took over 2 hours. When it arrived and item was missing. No offer of redelivering!! Awful service which is a shame as the food that did come was delicious. Just a real shame that as a family we couldn't eat together as the item missing was the only thing one person would eat!!

This was my first time buying their food, my grandson rated them. We chose a takeaway. The service was quick. But as I waited, food that had been ordered for delivery was brought out. There were drivers there but there was no hurry to collect and deliver the cooked orders. I presume they were waiting for others within the same postal area to be cooked so they could collect and deliver together. Unlike other restaurant delivery services there was no sense of urgency. Later I read facebook foods complaining about this, whilst others said their food was hot. My family did not like the food we purchased, I tend to order exactly the same and so could compare.

Superb, we don't do reviews, unless excellent and this was. Thank you very much. We enjoyed every mouthful. Fresh flavours, garlic, ginger, chilli. Much more authentic taste than other establishments we've tried. Many thanks ! X

Still waiting for my collection order which was suppose to be ready over 40 mins ago

Food arrived 45 minutes late, food was missing from the order and the wrong food was sent ages trying to get through to the restaurant who were incredibly unhelpful and said they couldn’t figure out how to process a refund and to speak to just eat. Would not recommend

Waited nearly 3 hours for the food, called up and got brushed off. Then food arrived missing an item. I understand it’s busy, but 3 hours and incorrect order is bad. Probably will go elsewhere in future.

Ordered at 620pm. At 810pm when the food had not arrived in the expected time we contacted and were told it would be with us by 850pm however by 910pm no food had arrived and we decided to cook. We cancelled the order. No effort from the restaurant to communicate with us and have refused a refund so I am now disputing this through just eat. I will never order from here again.

Not all items paid for were delivered. As it’s Chinese new year was expecting free prawn crackers and maybe even a fortune cookie, but nothing , quite disappointed.

Terrible. Food delivered over an hour late so it was cold and also very poor quality compared to our previous experience of Lucky House takeaways. The prices have gone up and quality has gone down. Delivery lady was nice which was the only good thing about the experience.

Due to be delivered at 6:55 I questioned at 7:20 delivery time changed to 7:55 I rang again at 20:05 told food was out for delivery with a driver. Food arrived at 20:40 cold

Glad I didn’t read the reviews before ordering . We had a great experience. Ordered via just eat arrived around 50 mins which was shown . Food was delicious. They read the notes for no shrimp in sing chow mein. Chicken balls were really good. Decent quality chicken and crispy. Will use again

Awful experience tonight after being a customer of 20 years. Placed an ordered collected it got home and it was made wrong had to spend 10 plus minutes trying to get through to be told they would only replace the wrong item and expect me to eat my food cold. Horrific service rude staff in the shop who clearly did not know what they was doing. The young blonde girl made me feel uncomfortable as she was glaring at me because she was taking an order and didnt want the customer on the phone to hear. Honestly save your money avoid this place. The worst customer service ever!!!!

Left it late to get takeaway and the lucky house could sort it out in 30 minutes! Really wish i hadn't bothered, the two chicken dishes weren't cooked, we had to take the chicken out and microwave it so we didn't get ill, lots of Chinese takeaways available so sorry i won't be back.

0/5 stars. (But it wouldn't let me post without putting 1 star!) Absolutely shocking service. Placed an order through uber eats waited over 1hr and a half without any update. Called the restaurant they hadn't even started cooking the food!! Even had the cheek to offer us to collect it ourselves after paying delivery. They were clearly not interested in our custom very glad we opted to cancel our order and not let them have our money! Wouldn't have been so bad if it hadn't be 9pm at night!!!

My experience with this place is usually alright but today I have had my usual king prawn chow mein and it has an awful smell as well as taste.The smell is awful I can honestly tell you it smells like a dead animal and taste like it too.

I called & placed our order & got told it will arrive between 45 minutes to an hour & hour half had passed & still no food so rang to find out how much longer it was going to be & then to be told it will be with you soon & i said what do mean soon was told 10 minutes. When it did turn up the driver didn't even say sorry it's or nothing for being late. It was warm & horrible. Will never be ordering from this place again

Place order to arrive at 615 not arrived they rang the rong number . The order was £70.90 rang the shop to cancel the order and a refund they won't refund the money. Two weeks later we get a refund will not be using lucky house again

Picked up a takeaway on 9/9/23 to celebrate our 27th wedding anniversary wound Never ever go there again, absolutely disgusting cold and tasteless. Worse Chinese we have ever had.

Husband and I had both been unwell for a few days and didn’t have the energy to cook. This meal completely lifted our spirits. Very tasty, hot on delivery. Definitely will order again.

Food was under cooked and made me sick to the stomach and when I told them about it they refused a refund even though I had only eaten two mouthfuls of food. Disgusting.

Don't even want to give this company a 1 star. Ordered two mains a rice chips and chicken balls and got told its nearly £40. Even tho the website had these items cheaper. But they told us the price has gone up. The manager has zero customer service skills. To be quite honest we've had trouble with this chinease several times before. Wrong orders. Nearly two hours wait. Won't be using them ever again. Avoid to save disappointment. Not to be trusted.

Awful. If I could rate it 0, I would. First time ordering from here and it’ll be our last. I ordered chicken with cashew nuts, and I double took when it arrived as it didn’t even look like chicken! Fatty/blubber on the outside and just awful taste. The sauce also had no flavour, none what so ever. Also ordered a couple of the chicken satay sticks, the sauce was ‘okay’ but the chicken is covered in this soggy horrid batter, making it taste vile. Unfortunately, one of the worst meals I’ve spent my money on and WILL NOT be spending another penny here.

Ordered a birthday Chinese at 5.35 pm last night (told a 60 minute delivery time), only to ring twice and chase order. Seemingly, they were a driver short. Got food nearly TWO hours later and no offer of a discount - standard of food was excellent, however!

On a short break we fancied a Chinese meal and found Lucky House. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Would recommend !

Shocking customer service and bad food - Avoid! We ordered from this restaurant tonight. It took nearly 80 minutes to arrive despite a nearly £5 delivery charge. The order was special fried rice which was cold and with no shrimp or pork. The crispy fried beef was inedible. It was absolutely freezing cold as though it had just been defrosted and not reheated. It was also full of raw carrots. Needless to say it ended up in the bin as it was too risky to eat. I don't usually complain but this was absolutely awful food. I called the restaurant to complain and was told that I could have my money back if I took the food back to the restaurant (impossible as it was in the bin!) and the young woman who answered was very argumentative and tried to tell me I had ordered something else and they didn't do refunds which is contrary to consumer law! What shocked me the most was the complete lack of concern about the substandard food they were sending out and the complete absence of any customer service skills. I would never order from them again and I am just praying that the couple of mouthfuls I had do not give me food poisoning! I would avoid this place at all costs in future and will be reporting them to Trading Standards in the morning.

On holiday and chose to have a takeaway from here. Better than the ones back home!

Best Chinese My son and I have found so far in Cornwall.. Was very salty when we first tried but has dramatically changed their cooking.. Tasty, fresh and cooked so well. Prices are good average prices with some dishes even cheaper or more quantity compared to other Chinese take aways. They take orders inhouse or over the phone but best of all, they accept card payments over the phone making it so easy when ordering for a delivery etc.. I do wish they would add Chicken Wings and Squid to menu but we cant have it all... Although I would If I could ;) This Chinese is NOT on Just Eat, UBER foods or Deliveroo etc.. If you dont have a menu just google: Lucky House Redruth Therefore it relies on its own merit, word of mouth etc.. I definately recommend as I have tried nearly all other Chinese takeaways within 7 mile radius... My son asks most days for Chinese from Lucky House but we have agreed to Friday Night Chinese from now on.. Collection is from side of the road but this is the norm for the area so not really a problem to pull up on curb or for only £1.50 within 2 miles the offer delivery. To me this is fast and simple way of a tasty friday night in having it dropped to your door..

Visiting Redruth and fancied a Chinese but unsure of where to go. We chose Lucky House and we were not disappointed. The food was tasty, sauces were nice and thick, nothing was over cooked and the food was piping hot. Would definitely recommend.
