We often go to Loven to have breakfast on weekends. Service is, in general, slow but food used to be ok. Not lately. I ordered an egg and sausage pizzetta and the egg came completely raw. When I asked to get it more cooked, the chef was rude and verbally aggressive. I ended up with a burnt egg on a soggy pizza base...

I used to love Loven but standards have slowly been slipping and our last visit was an absolute disaster. We waited half an hour to order drinks, the pizzas took over an hour to come. They were raw. Our wine was full of sediment - and not the usual kind. Waitresses were rude and disinterested but also clearly badly treated by the manager. Chef and manager also offhand and arrogant in their treatment of complaints by customers. They are clearly understaffed, prioritising Deliveroo orders and uninterested in the customer experience. Unless something radical changes, I don’t see how they can survive with the likes of True Craft selling excellent pizzas a matter of minutes away - and nor should they.

Went for breakfast recently with family. The food was not up to its usual standard (I have been a regular customer for a year or so)- in particular portion sizes were small, the poached eggs tasted of vinegar. The main issue however, was the incredibly rude male staff member who made us feel unwelcome. The food did not come all at the same time, and when we asked when it would arrive, he became extremely rude and aggressive. The female member of staff appeared embarrassed by her rude colleague.

We were really impressed by this unassuming place, and are very happy to have found this hidden gem in Tottenham. The service was friendly and professional, and the food was exceptional. I don't think I have seen such an interesting set of menu options at such a reasonable price point for a long while. The chef has been on board for only a month, and is intent on shaking things up, from opening times to an entirely new way of life doing breakfast, so watch this space! We will be going back regularly. See you there!

Received a bland, undercooked, dry meal, without herbs, spices, flavourings, sauce etc. Mentioned this to waitress, who proceeded to 'talk' to the chef, and then ignore me. 10 or 15 minutes later she took the food away, offering no alternative. I was continually ignored while she organised the spirit bottles at the bar. My boyfriend called her over to try and order something else for me and we were told 'Yeah, but you have to pay.' I explained that I wasn't paying for something that was unacceptable, and that I haven't eaten. I got told I had to! When getting up to leave, she panicked and said 'Well you have to pay for his meal!', to which I responded ok. Finally the chef came out, saying he found the rejection of his (awful) food offensive, but asked me what the problem was, and why I hadn't just ordered something else! Upset with the games they were playing with me, I said 'She wouldn't let me.' The waitress, standing in the corner, then shouted 'She has a name!' As though I was being rude by not addressing her by her name (of which I was never told.) The chef took the meal off the bill, and continued to belittle me, saying no one else has a problem with the food, only me. I actually left upset by the unbelievable rudeness of these people. Where is the manager?!! Clearly there isn't one. And clearly 'she' has never worked with people before.

Just had awful experience at this cafe. Food ok but staff disorganised, slow and rude. I ordered seperately but at the same time as some other people who had come in at the same time as me. We shared a table and chatted as we had just attended the same playgroup with our grandchildren the staff presumed we were together and wrongly combined our bill. Not a problem but when the error was pointed out the chap in charge lectured us on how it was our responsibility to tell them that we were not together. Also they were incredibly slow and forgot half my order. Again apparently this was my fault as I should have pointed this out to the staff. He actually tried to say that I had to pay for the complete order, even though they forgot half of it as I had not reminded them. He actually said "next time you must remind us". Well there will not be a "next time" as the rudness and inefficiency was such that I will not go back to this cafe and I advise others not too until they train their staff properly.

My friend took us here on a Saturday morning for Brunch - it was fab. This is a lovely little place that I hadn't heard of and would never have found on my own. Very friendly staff and the food was stunning. I had the mediterranean sausage and egg on loven bread which is definitely worth a try (beware - big portion). Very good value for money and a pace I would highly recommend. Well worth a visit.

We love LOVENpresents, the buzzing pizzeria, bar and artspace in Norman Road near Seven Sisters, so were interested that they've opened a new place in Hale Village. Went here on a grim Sunday afternoon in late January – the place was warm and relaxed, which immediately cheered us up. The new brunch menu had just been launched, the food was delicious – plenty of choice, with a healthy Mediterranean emphasis – and the service, so friendly and welcoming. We've been buying our bread here ever since and will be back soon for dinner. A great asset to the area.

This bakery/cafe/pizzeria/wine bar has recently opened in Tottenham Hale Village to serve the local community and we popped in for lunch while visiting our daughter who lives in Hale village. I had stuffed peppers, my husband pizza and our daughter the soup of the day. All fresh and nicely presented and less than twenty quid! Cakes looked lovely and we will be popping back for coffee and cake next time we visit. Everything is freshly prepared. You can purchase fresh bread which they bake on the premises. Nice bright atmosphere and attentive and friendly staff. Looking forward to our next visit.
