Love Walk Cafe in Hammersmith and Fulham

I want to start off by saying I am not one to write reviews, I have been to love walk cafe several times and the staff there are always so lovely. They work hard and the service is incredible which is a huge part of the reason I visit frequently. However, I visited the cafe today and was appalled by the behavior of either the owner or manager, this male was awful. He was shouting and berating the staff members which created a toxic atmosphere that was uncomfortable for me and I assume for all the other customers around me. It's evident that this manager lacks basic respect for his team, and his unprofessional conduct has soured my experience. I will not be returning anymore as I will not support a manager who lacks basic decency. I am sorry for all the staff that have to deal with him as what I witnessed today is definitely not the first time he’s done this looking at other similar reviews.

Came here for a full English. Service was quick and courteous rather than friendly. Food was okay, not extraordinary. Coffee was good. All in all a good place for a meal.

I was expecting a great experience based on the reviews and the fact that google show it as as an Italian cafe. However when you walk in it does not give a clean impression. An unclean shabby sheen. Toilets downstairs unclean( see photo) and pervaded by a smell of burnt cooking. I wanted a non melt panini but they could not provide as they were all pre-made. They offered a toasted sourdough sandwich which I accepted. For some reason they stressed it would be toasted on the grill. Service was quick but initial presentation looked unappealing ( thin sourdough). One bite and the first taste bitter burnt charcoal from the grill. The bread was burnt. Sent it back and it was returned with the same half eaten sandwich one side! But apparently new toast! Still burnt ! Got the proprietor and he took it away saying he would toast it a different way. Finally it came back in an acceptable fashion but nothing special. I’m afraid there’s some basic things wrong at this cafe and I would suggest the cook needs to clean his grill. It is by no means an Italian cafe. Be very wary

Amazing food, we had the American breakfast and was so good and cooked so fast. Cosy little place and great decor. When leaving we thought we had been undercharged as it was very reasonable but we got told that the coffee was included in the price for the breakfast, small things matter especially when visiting London and the extortionate prices some places charge. Definitely coming back to this delightful little cafe in a great spot. Also, dogs allowed.

To say poor service would be an understatement. I was there for 15 minutes waiting for someone to take my order kept raising my hand to the waiters that were going to the tables nearby only to be purposely ignored and they pretended they didn’t see me. I asked to speak with the manager and the manager came already angry with an attitude verbally attacking me and physically aggressive . He told me I’m not giving you your order and go away,screaming ,literally screaming get out of here. After he proceeded to aggressively remove the table that I was sitting at with my stuff on it 1 metre away ,took the chair next to me as well and kept saying go away and was coming towards me raising his hand to touch me and I took my phone camera so he backed up there. Never in my life I have seen this treatment anywhere else. If he can’t take a complaint as a manager then is not made for that job! I can only imagine what his poor stuff are going through hence their poor performance at work. He is supposed to be the manager ,how can he manage a restaurant when he can’t even manage his own ANGER ISSUES and ACTIONS? If he treated a man customer the way he treated me today he probably would have been punched in the face but man like this manager (it’s a shame really to call this coward a man ) never treat a man like that as he knows the consequences hence cowards only treat women this way !!!!! How is he able to manage a team with that attitude??? Who placed him as a manager ???? So many questions !!! I have worked in many restaurants before and never ever a manager has had that horrendous attitude towards a customer !!! Even if you go to a third world country you won’t be treated the way I was treated here in the middle of London in Fulham that is supposed to be a good area! If the owner is interested I can send him the videos.

13 of us went for breakfast here after a run around London. Food, service was fantastic and we well looked after. We will return next time we run in London.

Disappointing visit. Poor service, poor atmosphere- the workers in the kitchen were arguing loudly for everyone to hear. My food was less than average, one toast with egg & some beans on the wide with an orange juice cost £15. Absolute rip off!

We’ve been coming to this cafe for years and find the staff really lovely. We were very upset today by the rudeness of the waiter with the ginger hair. We won’t be back and will certainly be stopping the many recommendations we’ve given to our friends.

Terrible Meal! We ordered 2 Ham and Cheese Toasties and a Sausage Baguette with two portions of Chips. 50 minutes after we ordered two cold bowls of chips arrived along with the baguette and the horrible toastie (£7.50 and nothing else with it). We sent the chips back and 15 minutes later the other toastie still hadn't arrived and neither had the chips. When I complained again, eventually they arrived, but the toasties was still awful and the chips were hot but soggy. The manager said they were busy!! Overpriced and poor food served with a frown and no pleasantness at all. I will never go back.......nor I would think will the people next to us who ordered two burgers and took one mouthful before deciding it was also terrible and leaving the lot. Fortunately there are much better places around.......what has happened to this once great little cafe? Greed by the looks of things as there are now far more tables than they can cope with.

Really enjoyed our brunch at Love Walk Fulham, we had pancakes (one with berries and one American) Coffee was perfect. Service was great. Atmosphere was lovely Highly recommend!

The food was terrible. It arrived before the drinks, so clearly it had been someone else's order that had been sitting there. The pancakes were undercooked and the bacon was also verging on the undercooked, despite me asking for it crispy. They got the drinks order wrong too. The service was rude and abrupt (glad to see other reviewers think this too), however by far the worst bit about my experience was listening to the older women talk to the young girl working there like she was something they had trod in. It must be a horrible place to work.
