Happened to be passing and spotted this lovely cafe so came back with hubby for lunch. Sat inside at a table in the window. Lovely clean and bright decor, staff pleasant and efficient. Not a vast menu yet we found something we liked and enjoyed our lunch, honest prices too. Took some brownies home with us and they were lovely, particularly liked the salted caramel. Great little lunch stop, recommended.

What a lovely café! I went after a walk with my Assistance Dog at the Valley Gardens and the staff weren't at all phased by how soggy he was!! They were incredibly welcoming and friendly, they even looked after Roscoe so I could go to the WC! I had a tasty toasted teacake with jam and possibly one of the best chai lattes I've ever had!! Even Roscoe got some doggy treats!! I would highly recommend a visit her. It's only small but cosy and they make an incredible range of vegan brownies!!

I'm sorry to write this as we always take friends here and have spent years singing its praises, but today's visit was awful. No hello, guy didn't know what a white coffee was, two staff chatting when tables needed cleaning, no one friendly, no thanks, overpriced coffee that wasn't well made and an overall crummy experience. Management needs a rocket.

A simple menu, with a small choice of perfectly curated dishes. We had the Avo and Pea smash with eggs on sourdough toast. It was lovely and fresh, and just the light bite we needed. Friendly and attentive service topped of our visit. We returned later in our visit to buy some Brownies for the return trip back south. They were lovely, gooey with a subtle crunchy exterior; delish.

We called in today for a coffee and really enjoyed our visit. We were visitors to Harrogate and as we had already eaten a huge cooked breakfast we weren’t able to sample the absolutely gorgeous looking brownies. We did, however, enjoy the best coffee that we’d had for ages. The environment was great, the staff were super and it’s very dog friendly. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

The brownies don’t have the texture of a brownie. That chewy bite that a brownie should have is the thing I love about brownies. I have tried the brownies here twice, and they have a hard outer crust with the consistency of an American fudge in the centre (not to be confused with a UK fudge, which is different). If you are a big fan of a very rich thick American fudge, these are for you, but if you want a nice chewy brownie, these are not them (I know they are often called a fudge brownie, but they are not supposed to have actual fudge in the centre) . I am not too picky, I will happily eat sub-par food and enjoy it, but these were like an entirely different dessert that looked like a brownie. The place has brownie in the name of it, so I am kind of expecting a decent brownie. As to the rest of the place, seems cosy, haven’t tried the food or the coffee, so can not say. I would go again, but for coffee and a scone. Liked the pillows everywhere.

We visited Harrogate on January 11th and it was our first visit to Love Brownies. We were looking for a lovely place to have a nice coffee and we were so pleased we chose this one. What a warm welcome we got from the Manager, Gino. It was a cold, damp day and he certainly brightened it up. He is an absolute credit to ‘Love Brownies’ and of course to himself. It was lovely to walk in to a brightly decorated, immaculate and warm cafe. The coffee and brownies were delicious too!

Before departing Harrogate after a lovely 3 day visit, we decided to stop off at Love Brownies - a place that had been recommended to us throughout the weekend. Although at a glance this cafe may look warm and inviting, the truth was very different. The first thing my husband and I noticed when visiting with our 3 young children was the highly inappropriate music. This issue changed our plans so we decided to take the food away. We ordered 3 sandwiches to share between us and were told to wait to the side. We waited 20 minutes for our sandwiches, all whilst the young man who served us remained sat on his phone smoking a cigarette outside. Once we received our order we left in a hurry due to the unprofessional nature of the establishment, only to find not one, but TWO long blonde hairs in my youngest boy’s halloumi toastie. I wouldn’t recommend this cafe to anyone visiting the area, unless you enjoy rudeness and disappointment.

Harrogate has plenty of nice cafes but many are becoming more and more expensive, so this place is a find. I had a takeaway first but returned for my first sit-in visit. Really lovely veggie soup with four pieces of toast and butter for a fiver, and a really nice, fresh icy smoothie for four pounds. Lovely environment, friendly staff and a most enjoyable visit.
