I mean this place is hyped for a reason. It’s really good food and the service is amazing - it does feel a bit rushed though like the food comes super fast at one go and you feel like it’s eat and go type of vibe. Loved the Jalfrezi and the mint souce, think that was our fav! The other curries are good too. Definitely recommend this place!

Tonight we revisited here for Dads curry Club. We booked and when arriving were seated at the table. Tonight we found ordering was very difficult. The server was using an iPad to take the order but unfortunately he didn’t seem to understand and it took over 10 minutes to order the starters and main course. Pen and paper would’ve been far quicker but I understand technology helps ! Anyway the food arrived and the King Puri ( Spicy ) was very sweet tasting and no heat, disappointed. Lamb chops a little tough and the Somosas were good. The mains were flavoursome but the chicken pakora starter was dry and the lamb again in the main was tough. It did not specify it was Lamb Tikka it said Lamb ( there is a difference in how they’re cooked ) . The food had good flavour. Naan was really good and fresh. Sides of saag paneer and cauliflower bhaji were ok. Service was average and when we left we said thanks and good bye but we were not acknowledged in anyway. Would we revisit I’m not sure. Thank you ps so many onions !!

This is the worst restaurant I have ever visited. I placed an order for takeaway, consisting of 2 naans and 2 paneer tikkas. When I arrived to pick up my order, I asked if I could dine in instead. The staff rudely refused my request without any explanation. The food itself was a huge disappointment and not worth the high prices they charge. The paneer tikka was soggy and dripping with oil, clearly not oven-grilled as it should be. Authentic paneer tikka is supposed to be cooked in a tandoor, giving it a distinct flavor and texture, but this was heavily colored and seemed to be cooked in a regular pan. The sauce accompanying the paneer was overly sweet and didn't complement the dish at all. To make matters worse, the salad served alongside was off, tasting old and pathetic. Additionally, they refused to give me any cutlery, which made it even more difficult to enjoy the meal. Overall, the entire experience was terrible. I strongly advise avoiding this restaurant.

Whether you sit in or take away the food is always hot and delicious! Service is always fantastic, very friendly and attentive. Hidden gem!

We have been going here for years and food is consistently good. However, the usual man on the bar is always grumpy, unfriendly and at times rude. However, the owners son and nephew are always great. Shame it's looking tired with some of the seats in the booths needing recovering. Portions are now a lot smaller so not as good value but the new waiters are friendly. So overall still good and worth a visit if you do t want to get in your car for a curry.

Arrived to collect a first takeaway, 5 minutes after designated time, which Wasn't ready. Upon arrival l was advised there would be a wait which was fine. l was then offered a drink "As the food isn't ready yet". l declined and paid for the meal. l was again offered a drink as there was a delay in the food. l accepted, the gesture as l was unsure how long the wait might be. l was asked what I'd like? l received a diet coke. The food arrived 15 minutes late and had been paid for. l thanked them and before i was given the takeaway was told ..."that'll be £2.95 for the coke". l actually laughed. So much for their generosity !!! Its not the 3 quid that matters, that's immaterial, its the complete lack of business acumen that i find astounding. After all, I'm sure that they know how to tell their clients how much to tip!! The food was average. The ability to alienate a new customer, brilliant!

Lounge India is a must-visit! The warm hospitality, diverse menu, and delicious food make it an unforgettable experience. The butter chicken, garlic naan, and biryani were exceptional, and the service and ambiance were top-notch. Highly recommend! Five stars!

Would highly recommend! The food was exceptional, there was a good ambience, staff were very knowledgeable and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening, will be returning.

We have been going to this restaurant for many years, and have spent probably thousands of pounds with family celebrations. One of our party is allergic to gluten, but the restaurant used to have no problem with that. Despite their website advertising "Please let us know of any allergies or dietary preferences, we will do our best to prepare your favourite dishes according to your dietary needs", when we asked for the gluten fee options we were told "we don't do anything gluten-free, it's management policy". This covers everything apparently, including plain rice. Our entreaties met with stony silence. Obviously we had already ordered drinks and some popadoms (which used to be gluten-free, but now, who knows?), and obviously we were charged for those anyway. At the very least restaurants with a reputation for a good response to food allergies should advertise the fact if they stop and are happy to alienate happy customers. Very narrow minded attitude when the restaurant sector is so quick to bleat about its misfortunes and ask for handouts. With an attitude like this they deserve to lose business, they've certainly lost that of me, my family and our friends. And take it off your website, tell the truth, that would be more honest. Currently you're not being honest with your customers.

We were very disappointed yesterday on visiting Lounge India for dinner. We eat there every couple of months but it has deteriorated since we last went. We were a small group of five so it’s not as though there were many of us, but after having a drink and some poppadoms we waited 90 minutes for our main meal. That’s not good enough. We were on the point of leaving when our food arrived. They’ve changed the rice portions to a much smaller amount too. They’re no longer in the dishes you see in these photos, they are much smaller. I don’t know whether they were just overwhelmed with custom, but we’ve never had such poor service before. I asked a question about gluten free food and received an uninterested reply which was curt, rude and very unhelpful. We can find better Indian restaurants nearby so we won’t be going there again.

Continuing the ‘Curry Tour’ of Bedfordshire and beyond, we were keen to try the Lounge India after reading some of the other reviews. It looked like we were in for a great meal… The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated, with parking outside. When we arrived it was quite busy, but not overcrowded. After the waiter getting the simple drinks order wrong, we tucked into poppadums and an excellent pickle tray. They were fresh and the pickles very tasty - a great start! We had to ask where our missing drinks were, which then turned up. We ordered our starters and main courses. We waited… …and after around 25 minutes the starters arrived. We use Onion Bhajis and Shish Kebab as a barometer to test. The onion bhajis could only be (politely) described as awful. Clearly bought-in and not home-made, they were grease sponges. Tasteless in flavour and oozing fat. No surprise that these were not finished. The shish kebab was described a ‘very average and lacking flavour’. Things were not looking good. We ordered some more drinks, which again they got wrong! These were not complicated cocktails but simply beer and cokes! We waited again for the main… …and waited more, then a bit more. After an hour the mains arrived. The vegetable vindaloo was one of the worst I have had, with a very powdery consistency and lacking any real taste, just heat. The veg mix was pretty dull with just lumps of spud, loads of onions, a couple of green beans and the odd sliced carrot . My fellow diners also reported that their meals were also pretty uninspiring and nothing special at all. Overall, it was a disappointing outing which peaked at the pickle tray and then plummeted downwards from there. We really cannot recommend this restaurant at all. There are much, much better Indian restaurants nearby in Bedford, Flitwick and Ampthill To end on a positive note, the chocolate was very nice when we paid the bill, which in fairness was reasonable.

You are greeted with quite a dingy entrance and staff who seem unprepared to crack a smile. My daughter had booked online and requested a high chair for our 12 month old. We were shown to our table and asked for the high chair. They did not have one and could only offer a booster seat. But with no straps to secure a child, we ended up having to get the push chair out of the car and feeding her in that. Not a nice experience at all. I have to say the food was rather nice, but the staff seemed unfriendly and inconvenienced and unprepared by our baby. If you are looking for some great Indian food, but have no young family and aren’t too concerned with the lack of atmosphere then this is the place to be, otherwise find somewhere else.

We are staying in the area for a holiday and the owner mentioned this restaurant. So glad we went here, as the food is superb, 5 dishes that tasted amazing. The menu is huge. The staff were very attentive and the COBRA IPA (not seen this where we live) was amazing too. Definitely recommend this place. Great value for money. Authentic food. Ample car parking. So it’s the first Weds of the month and it’s Dads curry club. My daughter chose the venue. Not been here for a while and was looking forward to it. Looking at the menu it all looked good. My son and myself spotted Crispy Chilli Duck on the menu and it sounded delicious. We could visualise it. However it was not crispy in anyway. We were assured it was crispy before the sauce was put on top. If it had been described as chilli duck neither myself or my son would have ordered. The flavours were really good though. The mains were all nice as were the side dishes The thing I wish they’d told me, was they charge for containers at 95p each. If they’d told me in advance I’d have had the choice. I just feel you need to advise the customer of such a high charge. I appreciate you have to cover costs but it seemed high and in 33 years of dining out it was a first for me. I’ll visit again as the food was good but I’ll be prepared ;) I normally tip 10% but didn’t on this occasion purely because I was charged for the box. Thank you Thanks

Brilliant Indian, will be going again. Only down fall was long wait when I collected, however they were very nice about it and it was a busy period

OMG, the food from this restaurant takes some beating, we order for a big family of 12 staying at centre parcs, the delivery driver was very pleasant and met me at the entrance to the park. All of us really enjoyed the food, very high quality.

It’s my local, so I can’t really say anything negative…. Thankfully it always delivers (metaphorically as well as physically!) a brilliant curry. Never had a bad one, always tasty and full of flavour. Staff are great and whether you eat in or takeaway, the experience is always superb. Great work and sometimes I’m really happy I live in Marston !!

Tried the Tikka Chicken Bengal naga jalfrazie i've never seen this on any menu at any Indian Restaurant that i have visited. The dish was unbelievable also Delicious the ingredients carrot onion peppers chillis ginger garlic obviously more. it was good to have a curry with more than just a sauce also plenty of succulent tasty chicken. Good sized portions too.

Excellent meal delivered last night. Half an hour earlier than the worst case delivery time quoted. The Lamb Naga Jalfrezi was superb as was everything else including the rice. The pickle tray is original and tasty. Very impressed! It’s certainly the best takeaway we’ve had this year. The guy that took the order was knowledgeable, helpful and thorough. Thank you.

New Year Disaster, ordered a delivery at 5:30pm , delivery time stated was 7:30 , busy night I get but turned up at 9:20 , nearly 4 hours after ordering... sums up 2020 as a year , over promised , under delivered.

I have eaten here in the past and had a really good meal , I thought we were in for a treat before lockdown. So we ordered a take away. Sadly this meal was awful. I ordered a king prawn Tandoori . The prawns were swimming in a bowl of sweet gravy , no texture what so ever. The Korma curry’s were also very runny .This was a large order for 6 maybe it’s time for a change , shame it didn’t meet the usual standard.

First time eating here, we got a take away. Food was hot and the taste was amazing. Started with poppadoms and chutney tray and the favour from the dip were so good I amazed and couldn't wait to get to my mains which also was just as good. Found our new Indian restaurant. Amazing and looking forward to our next meal.

2nd time visit after our fav Indian restaurant closed the curry gardens at Leighton buzzard. Had a takeaway service very accommodating. Staff were excellent and the food was amazing.

The guys at lounge India will bend over backwards for you. Treat them well they treat you well. Been going there for a long time now with my brother and always have a good time. They have a good sense of humour and the food is never a disappointment.

We've been eating here and ordering takeaways for many years and have, generally, been very happy with both the food and service.However, recent experiences have been mostly disappointing. In particular, we have noticed that 'lamb' is now relatively large disc shaped pieces of tough sinewy meat rather than previous tender cubes.If I was being uncharitable I'd say it was poorly cooked mutton or terribly cooked lamb.Either way, the quality is completely unacceptable.Consistency is vital to the continuing success of any business and to lose it is to lose customers, in our case for good.

Always get a good meal whether we sit in or take home. Great choices and always looking to add new dishes. Lucky to live so close but having sampled other curry houses in the local area, we would travel to this one without hesitation. Cleanliness, freshly cooked, excellent service. Keep it up guys.

We had an amazing meal, good quality, good portion size and on a Wednesday and Sunday extremely good value for money.

We have been a few times, and when friends visit we always go for a meal here. My best friend and Mum are both coeliac (can’t eat gluten) and the restaurant talked us through the menu and made sure they prepared gluten free foods separately and everyone had a delicious meal - can’t wait to go back for more

My second visit at lounge India. Really loved Royal chilly Mossala, a big thank you to Mr T for recommending me. Excellent dish with a lot of flavours, Phenomenal curry looking forward for my next visit on 14th Feb.

Great restaurant. Lovely food. Staff are extremely friendly and the manager normally comes round to each table to see if all ok a really nice touch. We love eating here and always take our visitors there. Thoroughly recommend if your looking for great food.

Recently moved to Marston, and we decided to give Lounge India a try. The food was remarkable, both my wife and me loved the food. Special thank you to the waiter that helped us and for taking care of us, we asked for a both on a very short notice and he was able to help with that. We will definitely be returning to Lounge India

Ordered a takeaway on Christmas Eve for the whole family, we were told it would take 45 minutes but it took a little while longer. it was worth the wait as the food was delicious. The Roshuni Modu which I ordered was fantastic. Going to try and work through the menu. Decided to leave a review because I saw the post on their Facebook page about a competition to win a voucher

We arrived at Lounge India on Christmas without booking. They were fully booked but waiter politely asked us to sit down and allow them little bit time so that they can arrange a table for us. They offered us whether we would like any drink while we wait for table. I had cobra, my miss had glass of red and within 15 min we were taken to the table.The food was excellent as well as service. Started to become regular of Lounge India.Menu has variety of choice but waiters are well knowledgeable to advise you.Thank you very much Mr T for looking after us.

Not usually one to review.. but have to say this was the best take away we have had in simply ages. Fresh, well cooked, well presented, good portions...faultless.

Seven of us went for Sunday lunch. The welcoming staff was really hospitable and could not be more. Foods were like a gift from paradise, melt in the mouth and the flavours just danced on the tongue like a ballet.

We visited here last weekend with friends. The service was very good and the food was lovely. The only moan is that it does feel very cramped especially if you have beers and bottles of wine on the table durning the main course.We had to use a table of 2 next to us as the table was not big enough.

Second visit, the food was excellent. I asked for recommendation and I was been advised to try chicken makhani which is butter based chicken. It was amazing, The waiter was very friendly even thought it was busy.

Went out for a work meal a few days ago at Lounge India which was organised by one of my work mate. Wicked atmosphere, brilliant food and good service. All of the work colleagues were really delighted with the service and the quality of the food.

Visited yesterday evening with friends, It was one of the best Indians I had in awhile, they recommended vegetable honey which was great. The garlic chilli tikka lamb is a must for starters. Overall staff were very pleasant and more then helpful. Definitely be back soon with the family.

I regularly get takeaway and visit the restaurant. Not really a big fan of social media etc but recently, was asked by one of the staff to left review and rate them my opinion so that they can improve.

We have been in for quite a few meals, food always great and fantastic service. Also had lots of takeaways always the same excellent standard. Only Indian restaurant/takeaway we will use now.

We LOVE Lounge India - the staff are always friendly and welcoming, the food is consistently good as we have never had a bad meal there. It is our favourite restaurant, with a fantastic variety on the menu and very flexible if you require changes to be made. So tasty and great value!

Visited yesterday with a few friends for a night out. Had one of the best Indians in a while, I was recommended the lamb tawa, which was incredible. The restaurant is warm and has great atmosphere. The staff was very helpful, as I forgot to order a nan bread, and they managed to quickly get one out to me. Really enjoyed the food and service, will definitely be returning.

Love this restaurant, have all our family birthday meals here including my 60th and my husbands surprise 70th. Take any visitors we have here too. Lovely food, never had a bad meal here and the staff are always very friendly. The owner also comes round during the evening and speaks to customers. Can’t recommend highly enough, looking forward to my next sneaky treat night out here with my daughter

Our first time at this restaurant for my birthday and it was the best meal ever!! Food was very tasty, lovely waiters very friendly and nothing was ever too much for them, great drinks selection too. We are now regulars.

Came here with a friend and had a lovely starter and main with rice and naan but we could not end up having a desert as it was so filling and enjoyable and I never wanted to go away feeling sick and bloated so we both decided to not have one but we both really enjoyed the food and staff very pleasant and did not keep coming up to us and asking no if we needed any more drinks or anything else . Lovely night will be coming again

We moved into Marston Moretaine on November 2019. My other half and I decided to try Lounge India for dinner since it was just walking distance.

I live locally and have used for 7 years mainly as a takeaway and was very good but lately had gone downhill, food poor quality and very expensive.

We visited at Lounge India with large group on Friday Night. Very welcoming and attentive staff.

Lounge India is always good, I have been coming for last 9 years and always have fabulous meal.

Poor service, long wait for food as new manager is very rude, he thinks he is very smart. Try to sell everything on the menu, also constantly talk, doesn’t want to listen that your opinion. I used to see this guy at the weekend. He told us that he’s got promoted as a manager. Very poor level of English language, The guy pretends to understand everything. Loung India need to train there staff and definitely new to Change the manager. I wasn’t happy at all. Even though didn’t enjoy my business trip, unless they change new Management and staff, staff doesn’t need to pretend or act smart..... sorry guys can’t write anything better until we see some improvements..... Hope Management take that as a Consideration... Let’s see!!!!

I called to order a takeaway and was greeted with a couldn't be asked attitude. I asked him if I was putting him out and should I call back later. He replied "if you like!" It's a shame, because we liked the food. But I won't be ordering from them again.

The atmosphere of Lounge India is superb, food is always spot on.

We were unsure where to go, but found this restaurant on Trip Advisor. Food was really nice, with really friendly service. Menu very well priced. Would definitely return if in the area again

We love the food but when ever we order they totally misjudge the timings - we don’t mind having to wait but give the correct timings so people aren’t sat around for an hour That’s the only downfall Super tasty & always fresh

We often order from Lounge India and have always had great tasting Indian food. Hiccup tonight but what a great attitude to rectifying a mistake. Highly recommend this business for amazing food and especially commend them on their customer service to address customer concern, well done Lounge India will definitely continue to order

Hot curries were not hot, mild at best. Sauces were very thick and unappetising. Chicken Pakora was stodgy and tasteless, Prawn Puree was bland and served in a thick Puree bread, served warm at best. Yellow Onion Chutney was best, if only, good bit of the meal. Treated my family as a birthday meal for my son. 6 adults and 2 young children bill was £189. Children shared Chicken nuggets and chips, which looked the cheapest of frozen catering offerings . Most reviews were very good, maybe we got an off night. I cook far better Indian food at home!

This is one of the best Indian restaurants that we have tried. The menu is extensive and interesting with dishes we’ve not seen before.

I regularly visit this restaurant and occassionally pick up a takeaway or order home delivery. To my surprise last Saturday when I called for a home delivery I was told minimum order £20. No where on their website or takeaway menu does it state this.

We enjoyed a great meal on banquet night. Food was excellent and so was the service. Would highly recommend.

Having sampled the Lounge previously as a couple, we were so impressed that we decided to take the children for a treat. The greeting was as if we were part of the family. The girls were treated like royalty. The menu is long and varied. I believe that it is authentic Bengali cuisine. Every thing that we tried was superb. I am told that they have been voted into the top 5 restaurants in the UK. I can see why.

Have visited Lounge India several times. Menus is varied and extensive. Quality of food is consistently very good and portion sizes generous. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff...they’re very accommodating. Will definitely visit again.

We had the buffet option and were very pleased with what we had. The food was really tasty and the portions were the right size. The restaurant itself was very clean and we will definitely eat there again.

Checked this place out for the first time this week having struggled to find a decent restaurant since moving to Cranfield 6 months ago. I was very impressed with the creative menu and went for a dish that you wouldn’t typically find in your average Indian restaurant. The flavour was incredible. Our server Shah was made sure nothing was left to chance and we had a great evening. Can’t wait to check out the rest of the menu!

We have been here twice with a friend who has travelled up to stay with us. He was so impressed he asked to go again. We can walk from our house. The restaurant was packed but we booked and were shown straight away to our table. It was buzzy with a lovely atmosphere and lighting. The food was gorgeous and we loved everything we ate from starters to sweet. We thoroughly recommend this Indian restaurant you only have to see how many people were ordering take aways and sitting down to know its popular and very good.

Just come back from lounge India and it was my first visit after moving here. I was very impressed. The food was absolutely gorgeous. There was 6 of us and we all loved our food. Would definitely recommend.

We decided to visit after receiving a flyer, and my friend read the many positive reviews. I joked that I hoped having travelled from Newport Pagnell that they didn't have a private function or something.

I am new this year to the area and this is local. Twice in my first week I visited and enjoyed the food. Since then I have been many times and tried others but always compare them to this, Lounge India is really good, I am lucky to have it nearby.

I have been coming to Lounge India over 8 years always been good. Recently I came with my friends and been served by Shah Rassell. The guy was so polite and understanding we thought we write about him and lounge India. Mr Shah recommend 4 different main course as well as some side dishes and bread. So nice and enjoyable. We loved it. After the main courses he made some special coffees which was so great. Thanks to the Management for hire such a experience staff and manager who knows what to do, or he know his job. Had a very pleasant evening. Once again thanks for looking after us Mr Shah Rassell.

It matched our expectations! and was as recommended, food and service first class was on a Saturday evening so we had phoned in a booking, reasonably priced for the area.

We come here quite often and it never fails to satisfy. The staff are friendly, the food is authentic, served hot and plenty of it.

It’s been nearly three years since I last ate here. This was the first opportunity I had to visit since starting work in the area again recently.

Having tried all the Indian restaurants in the area, this place wins over.

Fantastic friendly service from start to finish, nothing was to much trouble. Delicious food, in an air conned restaurant which was welcomed on a hot evening. Good selection of dishes. Highly recommend.

High quality food from one of the best Indian restaurants in Bedford. Wide variety on the menu, good surroundings. Well worth a visit.

Never been before, had a mid week meal with friends, the restaurant was not overly busy. Service was mediocre, they did throw my chicken starter on the table cloth then proceeded to pick it up and put on my plate!!!

Had a meal here tonight with my husband and children, aged 7 and 9. We enquired before ordering if with the Banquet deal we could have Chicken Nuggets and Chips for the boys as the main meal part, to which staff stated yes. (Infact my youngest ate a few chips and chicken pieces, the older didn't have any, said it looked funny) However upon receiving the bill they charged us £9 over what should have been 2 banquet meal deals and drinks. When I queried this a rude Manager appeared stating 'You cannot share the food, we are running a business here'. When I stated the staff had said otherwise but OK I would pay he finished with 'Don't come and eat here again if your not happy' Don't worry.... we won't!!!!!!!!

Been to this restaurant lots of times over last few years but feel its going down hill and has done for last 6 months.

We went on Wednesday which is Banquet night, £11.95 for starter, main, side with either rice or naan. Restaurant was busy, but we were served quickly and food arrived as ordered. I has a great night and have nothing negative to say, thank you!

We visited on Saturday night around 8pm, obviously their busiest time. Other than a reasonably long wait to be seated which I expected, the evening was how I wanted it to be. Great food, great service, good price and atmosphere It is busy so don't expect an intimate place for just 2 to eat. It is full on.

When you get home after a long day at work, and the local takeaway is less than a minute walk away the temptation is sometimes hard to resist. But never again!

We've eaten here many times and this is probably the best Indian food i have ever had. On previous visits the restaurant has never been overly busy and we've always had a good dining experience. Tonight though as you would expect for this time of year it was busy. I had booked in advance but my name was not in theit book. However they made room for us. We had the usual popadom starters with the usual dips. One dip was a yellow sauce that came in a gravy boat shape jug. When we'd finished the waiter took this jug and put it on another table for other diners to use! Yuk- we'd been dipping into that and there were bits of popadom and onions floating in that. Saw him do that again ten minutes later. The rest of our meal was excellent. The problem we had was when it come to paying. I was charged over £18 for my meal but when I got home and worked it out it came to 14.45. The problem was the waiter pretty much snatched our cards off us and did contactless payment without even asking us- we got no receipts. If you are sharing a Bill work out how much you are paying before you pay

We've tried many curry houses in and around MK and Leicester. This is by far the best we have ever come across. The food is always excellent, not just your bog standard indian cuisine, lots of specialties and dishes not seen elsewhere. The staff are brilliant and service is great. We love the place, frequenting more often than we should, on average once a week. Its a 10 from Len xx

As a regular customer to Lounge India and my favourite local restaurant, I felt it fitting to write a review. A group of us went for a meal on Wednesday evening to take advantage of the banquet night and although it was busy the service was superb - friendly, quick and professional.

As always excellent food and service and for buffet night a real bargain at £11.95 a head. Try the garlic chilli chicken curry!

I visited Lounge India on Monday night and had a very below average experience. I love Indian for the food, of course, so was bitterly disappointed with my choice of Onion Bhaji and Chicken Balti. It was like a child had made it. Seriously poor. Plus, the whole of a rice dish was placed on my plate in one go, which meant I was pushing rice around for my meal - weird. I asked for a coffee at the end of the meal and "We've run out" was the reply. Sorry to say this rates amongst the very worst of Indian restaurants I have visited - and that's a lot....

We have visited Lounge India numerous times over many years and have always found the food excellent with many choices from their extensive menu. The staff are friendly and courteous and go out of their way to make your dining experience pleasurable. It is our favourite restaurant when we are in the area.
