Have been here a few times now, both mid week and weekends. Also had takeaways from here, which aren’t quite as good as eating in. I would agree with other reviews that it’s a bit on the pricy side for an Indian but the portions are a good size and always very tasty and presentation is excellent. On one occasion I had the lamb chop starter and was served two huge chops & couldn’t finish my main course! My fellow diners always praise the quality of the Nan breads too.

The best korma i have ever had, people were very welcoming and it was great service! i definitely recommend and will be coming back!!!

Never been before, I love Indian food normally. Unfortunately this meal was far from Loveable The reception and service were good and we tipped the usual 10% for this, but the food i received was a very long way from freshly cooked i had the Tandori mixed grill with special fried rice, everything on my plate was over-cooked and dry i received one prawn a lamb chop a kofta of sorts and some chicken i think it was leg the rice was nothing special. My partner enjoyed her meal unfortunatly for her she has no sense of taste or smell so she is handicapped

The seasoning in the food has changed, the chef has changed probably. The great balance of flavors was worth the overpriced food when we went the first 2 times. Sadly it's just another curry house. £6.95 for 2 small samosa...really. Unlikely we'll be back.

Had a really good takeaway from here. Ordered online. Food was really good with great portion sizes. We will definitely be back soon!

We were there for an early evening dinner on a Saturday. It was busy, but not packed, and the service was friendly, with nothing lacking. That does not seem to be everyone’s experience, but it was ours. We selected a couple of dishes from the ‘house specials’ with okra, rice, naan bread and draught Cobra. Everything was delicious, beautifully cooked, in glorious sauces; and all with a freshness, flair and surety that spoke of joie de vivre and competence. Not cheap, but value for money, and le patron seemed to appreciate our commendation. Somewhere to mark on the map and return to.

Very nice inside but unfortunately we didn’t have a great experience with service , we waited 1hr 30 minutes for our food , the table next to us that came after us got served before us , we got charged for food that we didn’t recieve and was very shocked to see we got charged over £7 for condiments that came with poppadoms even though I did not see this on the menu ! However when we did recieve our food it was to a great standard but just a shame the service let it down , I felt a token of an apology would have been nice considering this was a birthday meal

Couldn’t fault quality of food. Service awful though kept bringing dishes we hadn’t ordered. Salmon and chips came three times !!!got bill changed as extra drinks on bill !! Food very good once got it right

Had been here before and though overpriced we enjoyed the food. Went there last night with a good friend having recommended it to ham and was very embarrassed. Onion bhaji starter was tiny (just 3 of the smallest bhajis i have ever been served). Chicken starter was burnt and dry. Mixed meat starter same again, except the tiny lamb chop which was rubbery and inedible. The lamb main dish was tasteless. Do not try the so called keema nan. That again was inedible. Burnt on the bottom and raw on top allowing the wafer thin, tiny strip of meat to fall out. I sent back the lamb dish and tye naan bread. When clearing the table the waiter knocked a glass of beer over me literally soaking my suit jacket, suit trousers and my shirt. Although extremely apologetic the fact that i was sitting at the table soaked in a pint of indian beer did nothing to enhance my evening. The best was yet to come... I was told that neither the dishes i sent back, or the pint of beer that i was now soaked in, could be taken off the bil as 'it was already in the system' i therefore had to pay for a pint of lager that the waiter had basically poured over me. A terrible experience. A ruined evening and a beer soaked suit and shirt and £120 lighter for the privilege. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE !!!

The food was delicious and generous portions. The staff are really friendly and there’s a nice relaxed atmosphere. We had a lovely meal and will definitely be coming back

Visited on Sunday evening while staying with a friend for a few days. Lovely warm welcome from the staff and seated quickly, we were offered drinks and poppadoms while we looked at the menu and were spoilt for choice. We opted for a sharing starter meat platter which was a perfect choice, beautifully marinated and cooked to perfection. We both decided to get a main to share with a few sides and Nan breads and it was more than enough, even us big foodies struggled to finish, beautiful chicken paneer with mushroom rice, sagalo potatos, and two nans were just all perfectly cooked and so full of flavour. The service was warm and friendly but not intrusive just right. A couple of glasses of wine each and a brandy to finish less than £80 worth every penny next time I visit Chelmsford I would have no hesitation in visiting here again

First visit. Absolutely amazing service. Food was exceptional 👌 Best Indian food had for years. Fresh, tasty and melt in your mouth.

My sisters took me here while I was visiting from America. I was really impressed. Great service. Very friendly staff. The food was excellent. Great drink selection. Highly recommend.

Visited here as a group of 4 on a Saturday night Service is very flaky. Lots of quite funny slip ups as the evening unfolded the most notable being when the waiter (manager?) came over and started picking at out naan bread with a fork to determine “whether we had finished”!! Seems that waiters are not allocated a particular table or zone. We had about 5 different servers all evening. Some great, others not so good. As another reviewer noted the clear glass panel on the toilet door gives other diners a great view of the urinals as men enter and leave the bathroom! The food was pretty good. Very large meat dish portions. Very flavourful. The naans too were very good. So if you can put up with the dodgy service I’d check it out. If you’re a bit of a stickler for top class service might be best to give this one a miss

Booked a table for 6 for a Saturday night at 7 pm. Was shown to our table which was only laid for 5. Had to ask twice for the 6th place to be set. Drinks were served quite promptly with our poppadoms and order was taken. 1 hr 45 minutes later we still hadn’t received our food. I advised the waiter and it took at least another 15 minutes before our food came out. No real apology was given or our bill reduced. I sent a complaint email through their website which they haven’t bothered to respond to. This was the second time that I have visited and both times the service has been awful. Such a shame as the food is lovely.

What a lovely and relaxed place to ho for a indian. The food was out of this world. All the staff were amazing. They made feel very welcome. And it's not badly priced. We will be definitely going again.
