Really really good food. Quite good value for money and lovely decor. Just off kings road, definitely recommend to try out. The duck salad and prawn soup as starters were insanely good. Will come back again. Although this place doesn’t sell alcohol, you’re free to bring your own for no extra charge.

The decor was beautiful. The food was very delicious, has a Mediterranean twist. We ordered from the dinner menu at lunch time and they made the effort to prepare it for us even though it took long, it was worth waiting for! I can’t wait to try their newly launched brunch menu, and afternoon tea would be a great hit too with such vintage deco. Would definitely go back there and recommend to friends. The staff were very friendly and the head chef came up herself to check on us which I found very sweet.

Buy all accounts - the previous reviews, the real kitchen skill evident in the delicious starters, and the courteous discussion with the owner/chef, this would normally be a five-star across the board review. Unfortunately we dined on an evening when inadequate temporary front of house staff (and one main course that we returned) resulted in a less that perfect experience. Our starters (Korean Crab & Octopus stir fry, Seared Scallops) were terrific - the complex flavours and presentation spoke of a truly gifted and skilled hand in the kitchen. When we returned the undercooked main, there were no quibbles and we were quickly offered apologies and an alternative and, on opting to have a further starter (Crab & Delica Pumpkin Ravioli), we received a double portion by way of compensation: this was again excellent and very much appreciated. However, the fact that we (two)were the only diners in the restaurant but had long waits for each course to arrive, emphasised the organisational glitches, which the owner/chef subsequently explained. I'm sure that these issues are not the norm, and this restaurant will provide a really good experience. Please try all the starters if you possibly can.

I went two L'oud Des Eurasie for my birthday with my other half. It was on recommendation and the reviews on tripadvisor. Before I continue I would say that I believe the owners to be genuinely trying to offer a good service but I feel they may not have experience in providing a fine dining. We arrived at 1845. The place it self is small and set out more like a standard restaurant than a fine dining place. The place has been operating for around a month so they still have some teething problems. Though billed as French Lebanese the owners and the chef are neither. Which did make me me a bit suspicious of the credentials of French and Lebanese fine dining. As I had been to La Sophia( now closed unfortunately) I had a high expectations. The decor is new but a bit over done. It was cold inside and the manger was kind enough to put the heating on and sit us somewhere warm. There was only one waiter alongside the manger only one of whom were dressed in shirt and tie. The waiter, though pleasant, hasn't had any training in serving guests at a restaurant that charges 11£ for starters. The menu has a lot of variety and I think this where they will struggle. You really can't offer a high end ala carte menu with nearly 15 different dishes especially if you only have one or two chefs. Stick to 3-4 mains that you can make well. The menu was a bit confusing and didn't have a dessert section so the manger had to tell us the selections verbally. We had wanted the tasting menu but as we hasn't pre arranged we ordered three starters, two mains and two desserts. For starters we had the duck and foie gras which came on a bed of salad which seemed to be lettuce and shredded carrots, then the hallumi platter with lamb sambousek and finally tuna and scallop tartare. All three dishes came with the same salad base which I felt was unimaginative. The serving plates were all different which looked awkward and unprofessional and the plates were cold so the food went cold half way through the meal, a rookie mistake. For the mains we had the five cuts of lamb which is essentially 5 lamb cutlets served in a mixed grill fashion. Presentation was poor and though tasted okay was not the caliber of 21£ dish. The other main was the herb studded roast lamb. Firstly this wasn't roasted but more like stewed and drowning in oil. It's not how roast lamb is served and I was disappointed. We decide on ordering some desserts which took over 30mins to arrive, the manger acknowledged this and have us an extra dessert and cocktail. The poached fig and plum though did taste okay was drowning is sauce and the cinnamon sticks and star anise hadn't been strained out so every mouthful was filled with them. The attendant ice cream melted within minutes due to the excessive hot sauce. The chocolate creme brûlée was something you can buy from a supermarket and not worth 5£. The sparkling wine wasn't sparkling when we got it. I didn't drink mine and the manager was good enough not to charge for it. The Soft drinks were not cold and didn't come with any ice. All in all this wasn't French fine dining and definitely not a Chelsea experience. The photos on the website bear no resemblance to the food being served. I appreciate that they are newly opened but I think they really need someone who has worked as a chef in a high end joint and some management from a proper restaurant to show them the ropes. Having read the other 5* reviews it's obvious that's many people reviewing haven't been to high end restaurants. At 45£ each this was not value for money. The 3* I've given is me being generous.

I spent some time searching for a place to enjoy a birthday dinner, I chose this restaurant as though it had a few bad reviews for similar things I found to be true I thought I'd give them the benefit of doubt. For stater I chose PLATTER OF HALLOUMI which was the only course I enjoyed, my friends had REFINED PROVENÇALE BOUILLABAISSE, which was a decent portion and I'm unsure of what the other friend had, but they both said it was not as hot as it could have been it may have been the chef had prepared them fast but due to there only being two waiting staff service was very slow, for main I had been looking forward to FIVE CUTS OF SPRING LAMB, I made the mistake of asking for rare, (it was rare'ish but very cold) I did not ask for it to be reheated as I had visions of another half hour wait for it to be returned, my friend had the Steak which was slightly warmer than mine but not by much, the other had BEEF QAWARMA again not as hot as it should have been (the distance to the kitchen was not a helpful factor) In its favour the dishes are well presented, and perhaps if they had stores the plates in a hot cupboard it may help to keep the food hotter. we had hoped to finish the meal off with SAFFRON INFUSED VERMICELLI CLOTTED CREAM CHEESECAKE - and trifle but after waiting another half an hour or so we had to forgo this or miss our train home. In summing up the ambiance is nice, the dining area is not too crowded but the lack of staff does not help the dining experience, if you do choose to go here for a meal pick a slow night and ask the waiter to make sure the meal is hot when ordering..

Dined here with my friend after after theatre show across road from langton st. Amazing interior, the twinkle from their chandeliers were visible from the theatre. Was introduced to the menu by maitre'd, spoilt for choice opted for the bouillabaisse starter and the bbq quail served with moghrabia (giant cous cous). The starter is very different from bouillabaisse served at other French fine dining restaurants in that it was full of flavour and with our the unpleasant fishy smell/after taste. Compliments to the chef, she uses a variety of herbs and condiments to enhance flavours without overpowering it. The menu was again beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. Also tried their supercharged juices which was very refreshing.

This is most certainly the worst restaurant I have visited in my 5 years in London. On arriving I was slightly suspect due to the lack of custom at 8pm on a Saturday evening. I ordered two glasses of wine and watched the waiter pour two glasses of wine using the ends of three bottles of wine, as you can imagine the wine I was presented with was horrendous. I proceeded to order starters and mains. I must say I was impressed with the starter. The mains however...My partner ordered lamb 5 ways. My partners dish arrived after a short wait, however during the 5 minute period I was waiting for my main to arrive we inspected her dish only to find there were only 4 pieces of lamb on the plate... I was intrigued as to how 4 pieces of lamb could be cooked 5 ways. Upon questioning the waiter the dish was taken away and brought back to us 30 seconds later with my lamb dish, you could say impressive. However on inspection it was very obvious a piece of lamb had just been transferred from my main to my partners. The meal so far had been horrendous, in fact it had become laughable it was so poor. But the best was yet to come. When I entered the restaurant I was presented with a menu, this menu included a small history of the restaurant and the morals of the owners. I was somewhat surprised to read that the restaurant did not believe in tips and service charges as they felt all customers should be treated in the same manner. A nice read but given my 6 years experience as a chef I was very surprised as tips account for a significant portion of hospitality employees wages. However when it came to the bill the story had somewhat changed, despite the awful experience I was asked to pay a 12.5% service charge. I spoke to the waiter and expressed my concerns which he did not accept. I then suggested I would pay half of the service charge, which given my experience and the story I had been presented with I considered more than generous. I left cash on the table to cover this and left the restaurant. But my experience was not over. I was walking down the street when the waiter reappeared. This is the first time I have ever been followed out of a restaurant. The waiter seemed to disagree with my handling of the surcharge. After a short conversation, we came to a point that we agreed to disagree. All in all a very strange experience and one that I would not recommend to anyone.

My girlfriend and I ate here this week and it was a fantastic experience all round. The restaurant is really cosy and the intimate service makes you feel very cosy. The teas (cinnamon & star anise and rose petal) were beautiful. The food itself was really nice, full of flavour and super fresh ingredients. My girlfriend is a veggie so they tailored the Salmon en Croute to be veggie instead so as to offer more options! I had a mixed seafood tagliatelli which wasn't in any way scimpy on portion size and the wide range of ingredients. Overall it couldn't have been much better and i will definitely be returning. The food is tasty and we liked the fact that the two courses we had were both accompanied by salads and fruit. The bottled water was from a good supplier and was reasonable priced we thought at less than three pounds. On the minus side were that the bringing of our courses took too long. The restaurant only had three tables occupied probably as a result of very heavy rain throughout the evening. Other details were that the men's lavatory was awkward to use as it is very small, there was nothing on which to dry hands except the loo paper and walking upstairs was a trifle hazardous as a carpet was not properly fitted. Still it was a pleasant place to be at with a very pleasant maitre d'.

"We're from Slough" explained a female member of a group of seven diners of Middle Eastern origin at another table to the host/waiter, "but we say we live near Windsor." Similarly from its website one expects this Franco-Lebanese restaurant to be opulent and palatial, whereas it feels more like a double-decker hut. The width of a single shop, we were seated at a table right at the front of the ground floor, partly in front of a door whose glass had been cracked, next to the improvised alternative entrance through part of a sliding glass panel. For the first fifteen minutes or so as we studied the menu we were treated to the site of luxurious pastries being carried past us from the downstairs kitchen to the group of display fridges which occupy much of the right-hand side of the ground floor, reminding us that this establishment is as much patisserie as restaurant. The a la carte menu is confusing insofar as many of the starters judging both by their descriptions and prices (around the £9 to £11 range) look more like mains, whilst some of the mains, for example, risotto with vegetables, looks more like a starter. Another anomaly is that, although a few wines are served by the glass or bottle, these are all non-alcoholic, although the management allows diners to bring their own bottles with no corkage charge. Meat is Halal, which is of no consequence whatsoever to me, although it might be to other diners. As we were taking advantage of an open table offer of 30% off food, my wife and I each chose a starter/main and a main/starter. I began with a bouillabaisse (£11.00) which was a large bowl of soup with prawns, scallops and white fish. Perhaps larger than a starter but smaller than the bouillabaisse stew which might feature as a main. My wife had scallops with couscous. My daughter's breaded chicken and potatoes arrived, as requested, at the same time. We drank a bottle of elderflower juice and a multi-fruit lassi respectively, the latter particularly refreshing. For mains I had duck leg with couscous, my wife chicken. The taste of each was significantly enhanced by herbs chutneys and spices. We accompanied our mains with glasses of fruity non-alcoholic house wine. My daughter's chocolate banana cake with ice cream proved enough for all three of us to taste. The light in the gents' washroom downstairs didn't work. The final bill was £74 including 12.5% service then with 30% of the cost of the food deducted.

The key thing when you arrive is not to turn around and leave because of the decor. It's horrible. But I suspect they inherited it. So stay with it and get to the menu. It took us 20 minutes just to decide what to eat, such is the choice, with so many interesting and unusual dishes. The wine - (and cocktails) here is all alcohol free so be warned, we tasted both alco-free red and white (in my opinion the white was better) but unless you have a specific reason not to be drinking it's far better to bring your own. The food is full of flavour, but one or two errors creep in. We started with the ravioli which was delicious, if a little overpowered by the sauce, my friend's bouillabaisse again delicious but with the prawns a little overcooked. For the main both Quail and Salmon were very good but the pastry with the salmon was a little soggy (probably because it had been waiting around while we took ages over our starter). The service was well intentioned but average, with the guy insisting on addressing my friend as my wife and not always paying attention even though the restaurant wasn't even a quarter full . Overall I'd definitely give it another go. There's real potential here. Possibly next time I'll go for the taster menu as there is so much to try.

Me and my wife went to visit this place expecting good food but we were greeted with so much more. The place is set just off the main road and beautifully furnished, clearly a well thought out interior design. It sets a warm and cosy atmosphere and makes you feel welcome from the very beginning. We both tried very different starters and main course and could not help but try each others as they all looked exquisite. When you taste the food you understand why your paying for the food as much as you are. The food was beautifully presented (hence tasting each others dishes) and tasted as good as it looked. The fusion of the dishes worked extremely well and is actually really inspiring. The service was friendly and of a high standard. I would be definitely going back with my wife and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who want a fine dining experience with good food.

We visited using a Wowcher deal and we weren't sure what to expect however, when we arrived we received a very warm welcome and both the waiter and chefs were all very accommodating when we explained we were on a fairly tight schedule. The scallops starter was incredible and full of flavour and our mains (my boyfriend that the lamb and I had the quail) arrived quickly and was cooked to perfection, the flavours were just amazing, my boyfriend still talks about how flavoursome the lamb was. Dessert was a shared plate of lots of mini cakes and ice cream etc... The coffee cake was very tasty as was the caramel filled white chocolate pyramid. The selection of dishes we ordered were visually appealing and well presented. I would recommend the rose petal prawns and chef’s special mango chicken. The flavours were fresh and meat well marinated. The décor exudes the luxury of a gilded room, which is an ideal setting for a romantic dinner/special occasion. The staff member serving was very attentive. As it is a fine dining experience, the wait in between courses is to be expected. The only setback was that we waited longer than usual for our starters, however the mains were presented in a timely fashion. We were surprised to find that there was a current offer of 50% off the bill, which was great value for what we ate and experienced. I am keen to visit again, this time to try their afternoon tea menu.

The proprietors need to understand both the essence of marketing and professional cooking. If the identity of the restaurant is tied to the refined professional cooking, it must deliver as it is referred to. The way the menu was described was as good as any gastronomic grammar written by professional chefs. The execution, the taste and presentation were far from it. They are in danger of oversell themselves. The chef, though had a good training, was yet to hone her skills for many year, to be able to achieve what she is aiming for. This is too premature for a novice to attempt a fine-dining menu. The ambience was a mismatch. You really cannot tell either this is an upmarket Cafe, patisserie, a glittering Lebanese or a fine-dining French. There were no coherent evidence to suggest either way. The best the restaurant can offer is an impressive front of house service. This- alone- is the only ingredient if they really want to carry on being a fine-dining restaurant. However, putting two and two together, it is gonna be a long wait indeed. I really want to see hard working people succeed. Keep it simple for now, please.

Menu pleasingly varied, with tasty fresh ingredients. A good location, if a bit cramped. Service cheerful and willing.

The place could do with standardized tables, some decent table linen (get rid of the cheap serviettes), better cutlery and less clutter.

All to play for here, with all the issues easy and cheap to fix.

Booked at this restaurant with high expectations and the food, ambience and service totally lived up to the expectations. The flavours were very good the fusion worked perfectly. So many different aspects and ingredients to a dish and still so reasonable. The portion sizes are generous. The offers make the dining experience here a total bargain but even the full prices are highly competitive and worth returning for. All in house drinks are modestly priced and you can bring your own no corkage charged. I had a delightful experience and Have recommend them to all my friends and family

Having read the reviews before attending I was rather undecided about l'oud, however, I am definitely a fan after tonight. The menu is vibrant and exiting with a Myriad of ingredients and as waiter informs several cooking techniques are employed in each dish, such as to be expected in a high end fine dining venue. I had the fricassee of escargots served with black garlic which was extremely pleasing followed by BBQ quail served with giant cous cous which exemplified the ethos of the menu I.e fusion of west and east. Their in house drinks are again very different and I tried the ambience des Eurasia which was refreshing. We shared a desert of poached fig an plum served with halva ice cream that was simply sublime. I have already recommended this restaurant to friends and cannot wait to go again to try their Thai infused halibut.

Where to begin? I've never been as delighted with any service as I was with the service my friends and I recieved at this beautifully interior designed restaurant. The gentleman that served my friends and I went above and beyond to make my birthday that extra bit special. There was no request too great for him. Whatever we asked he delivered. He was extremely attentive. The menu wasn't extensive but we were absolutely spoilt for choice everything seemed a good choice. I however chose a seafood dish containing lobster that exceeded my expectations. It was very delicious. They definitely have an exquisite eye for detail; the food was so beautifully presented. Definately one for an Instagram upload.I was first attracted to this hidden treasure of a restaurant by the picturesque photos I saw online however I was not the least bit disappointed when I saw the interior in person. Absolutely beautiful restaurant. Thank you for a great Birthday Shah

An extremely enjoyable evening at l'oud, Chelsea's newest and most charming of fine dining venues. Was informed by the very busy manager that there was a total of 60 covers between the mezzanine and ground levels. The mezzanine level is available for private dining. The decor is a vibrant array of gold and gilt on the main floor and sumptuous silver on mezzanine level. Sharmin, the executive chef, also designed the interior. This seemingly amazing women is also a mother of 5 children.I had the tuna and scallop tartare served on chicory leaves for starters, no understatement to say that this was a taste explosion! The different constituents, too numerous to state here, as soon as you bite into the crunchy fresh chicory a myriad of flavours from the tartare attack the tastebud - leaving them asking for more. This was followed by thai infused halibut. This was a novel way of preparing halibut, different but extremely flavoursome. Served with pineapple avocado salad and veg rosstee with a hint of chilli that added a kick to the dish exemplified the concept of the restaurant, "fragrances of Eurasia". There is also a fine wine pairing menu that is offered at retail price from last drop wines, their neighbours, however, as Shahid kindly pointed out they offer this in the hope that patrons also support their in-house range of beverages therefore we tried "Chelsea escape" a mocktail. Filled with fresh fruits and packed full of flavour I would highly recommend diners trying their drinks as with the cuisine their drinks are extraordinary. My partner had the salad royal des Eurasia for starters and 5 cuts lamb fricassee, again both dishes tasted sublime and elegantly presented. This restaurant was a serendipitous find, and we will certainly be returning diners. I can see this place taking off big time as their excellent food, attentive service and elegant decor coupled with wines that cost next to nothing although do try their mocktails (mixologist can even make these if u bring ur own alcoholic constituent) is a excellent combination. I have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant to fellow trip advisor users.

The fusion of French and Lebanese cuisine was a good mixture of flavours. We ordered the rose petal prawns, tuna as starters and mains were the chef's special mango chicken, these were well presented. The flavours worked very well together. I was very pleased with the jewelled rice and the fresh salad that accompanied the dishes. The prawns and chicken were marinted in flavours that pleased the palate.

The menu will appeal to vegetarians and meat eaters.

The restaurant decor is a luxurious gilded room. It would be an appropriate setting for a romantic meal with the right ambiance and privacy.

Staff was attentive and helpful in proving the intial directions to the restaurant. The location itself is just off the main road, so will not be difficult to find.

As it is a fine dining experience, the wait in between courses is to be expected. I don't understand undermining reviews from some Diners this is a new restaurant who is doing a promotion of 50% on all food then all the wines are more than 50% off as the owner does not keep profit on sale of alcohol and sells them on at cost prices. We all know how pricey the wines can be at restaurants as profit margin on wines are 100%. Regardless of the promotion the portions sizes, flavours and execution were superb. I can't blame them for being understaffed with average bills of £27 with service charge for 4 courses is astonishing value in a magnificent place in Chelsea. I don't think this restaurant will need to depend on our reviews to shine in no time this place will become London's Hotspot. I wish all the best to the Owner and executive Chef Sharmin with 5 little kids She is doing amazing. She is a role model to many of us. I can't wait to go back and recommend to all

When you think about dining in Chelsea, you don't really imagine eating in the equivalent of someone's front room, well this charming restaurant which is seemingly run by a husband and wife team : he serves she cooks upstairs in their apartmentThe food is a mis of Lebanese Fremch with stronger notes on Lebanese tha French, the food was tasty and interesting, the restaurant owners don't drink so we're meri,y unaware that the red wine they had stored in the fridge should have been served at room temperature, the wowcher deal was very good value, The restate ur has a good relationship with the local, wine shop, and they don't charge corkage which is rather quaint, I do feel that they were a tad understaffed but the restaurant is worth a try to,give the a chance and it's not expensive

I stopped in with my dad for dinner to see what the new place had to offer and was very pleasantly surprised. The food is a blend of European / Lebanese / Asian. Scallops were excellent, the lamb main was great value for money. The fish dishes looked great. You can see that a great deal of thought has gone into the menu which will appeal to most people. Portions are of a decent size and the chap who runs it is charming. The wine is very reasonably priced. I will be going back!

The food was absolutely outstanding. Our starters in particular were out of this world. Service was fantastic. Food choice was excellent. Nothing could be faulted with regards to the food or service. The ambience of the place was the only thing that could do with a little work. Perhaps tables already laid up, lower level lighting and a candle on each table would entice more people in to the restaurant? This aside though, the low prices and excellent food and service would make anyone mad not to pay them a visit!

Much like the tales of the Arabian Nights, this jewel tucked away in Chelsea traces its heritage back to the Middle East; drawing from all cultures, this is meticulously combined with the chefs execution of French fine dining. The dishes are not typical of any other fine dining experience in London, the recipes are deconstructed and rebuilt entwining flavours which your tastebuds would not experience elsewhere. The husband and wife team have put a lot of love into this restaurant and you feel that warmth from the moment you set foot into the restaurant, to your last bite of food. Unlike many other haunts this restaurant is not your typical 'fusion' themed restaurant or your typical conveyor belt middle eastern restaurant. The Chef (wife) has a wealth of experience, evident in her cooking; each meal made from scratch gives you the feeling of dining by design. I look forward to my many visits IA.We had a fantastic evening entertaining our guests at your restaurant. Keep up the great work :)

Loved the place. The food was delicious (I had a salmon coulibiac as a main) and the menu was quite inspiring. Usually I decide what I'm going to have pretty quickly, but this time I actually found it quite tricky to make my choice straightaway, as there were quite a few options I wanted to go for. Also, as a bonus, there was a selection of alcohol-free wines, which is good, as my husband can't take alcohol. Will definitely be back.

We visited this beautiful restaurant on Saturday evening with friends. It was such a lovely experience - the room was small but very well decorated. I think it could probably take 28 covers. Nothing was spared to make the meal a lovely experience - pretty decor and finishes, china, glass and tables set beautifully. The chef Sharmin is so clever with spices and herbs, everything is delicious and beautifully presented. Her husband is front of house - friendly, helpful and kind. We could not fault a thing - all of our starters and main courses were very good. The crowning glory was the petit fours plates (between two people) was fabulous, and a fitting end to the great meal. Love this place! I came here years ago with friends and we were treated so well. I was in the area and decided to pop in for lunch. Instantly both the man and woman (I believe they are the owners) made my 2 year old feel so welcomed and made every accommodation to make us feel comfortable (offered a high chair, extra table so we had space). The woman also hung up my rain cover for me with such care as it had been pouring. They were so friendly with us and made every effort with my son, talking to him like he was family. The food itself was delicious and so well priced considering the area. I look forward to going back the next time in and around south Ken!
