Lotties Coffee Lounge in Rotherham

We love Lottie’s and have been regular customers since it opened. Great coffee and tasteful, comfortable decor inside and beautiful outdoor area. My one downside is the severe price increase recently. I understand that prices have had to increase since lockdown which is totally acceptable and I’m willing to support………but £3.95 for a standard tea cake is unacceptable! They used to be £2.00 which I could just about bring myself to pay but never again will I be paying for a tea cake never mind other food which I assume has risen equally. Will always be back for coffee because as I said I love the relaxing feeling of the place and of course I get a free hot drink in every 8 with my loyalty card. Shame because I do love a good toasted tea cake with my morning coffee :)

Great experience - really nice seating area etc, friendly staff and simple menu that had something for everyone. We had dairy free pizzas, tea with soy, oat milk latte and fizzy pop. Vegan/gluten free cake too. Everything we needed including super customer service from a nice lady (Maxine?) who was happy to help and made lovely pizzas. We will be back.

Be aware that if as I did if you book one of their outdoor eating pods you WILL be charged a no refundable £10.00 fee on top of your food bill even if you turn up. I recently made this mistake inspite of previously not being charged by taking pot luck that one of the pods would be vacant. The manger was adamant this was company policy and could not be refunded however did provide a voucher for free coffees as way of recompense. As pointed out if I booked a restaurant table I expected to pay a deposit if I didn’t turn up and I suggested they should look again at their policy. It was a great shame this spoilt a nice day out and I will think twice before returning.and certainly never attempted to book a pod in the future.

What a perfect little place to crab a quick bite after a wander round the wildlife park! Amazing choice of seating outside, mixture of carved wooden stump tables with comfy chairs and then soft seated bubbles/pods. Food was great!! Really nice choice of sandwiches, toasted paninis and salads in easy packed boxes The slices of cake/sweet treats were massive :-) Best bit was the chocolate fondue box, with white and milk chocolate dip, great value really enjoyed:-)

Calle sun for breakfast just in the morning, there were only three other customers the entire time we were there so not busy at all, would hate to have been there at lunchtime. Very limited menu, only serving teacakes and crumpets for breakfast. Food and drink was standard but the wait was ridiculous. Teacakes and coffee took over 40minutes, then we had to wolf it down so we did it miss our time slot at the tropical butterfly house. The place looks nice but the menu is so limited and service is so slow, it’s a real shame.

One good thing about this place is the pizza. The pizza is really nice. But that’s about it. The other people I was with had dietary requirements and luckily we had a packed lunch for one of them. One person can’t have dairy or gluten and all she could have was a packet of crisps and some sort of cake. Everything contained dairy and/or gluten. Waiting times are long, even for just a coffee. They also don’t seem overly pleased if you have constructive criticism. If we visit the butterfly place again we’ll definitely just take our packed lunches because I’m not buying from here again

Owner was very rude towards my kids for going near the outdoor sitting pods , my kids are age 2, 5 so she should know better . Wasn’t very welcoming the minute we took our order I will not be returning again .

We pre booked a picnic box with our tickets to the Butterfly House, and it was wonderful. Fresh sandwiches, delicious cakes which melted in your mouth, and lots of extras. Definitely highly recommend!

We booked afternoon tea for a nice end to our Halloween day out at the butterfly house. This was quite an expensive treat but the pictures on the website looked great. We ordered an adult tea and a child tea so around £23. My main advice would be if you are going to keep doing afternoon tea, keep the afternoon tea tiered trays that everyone would expect, they are in the pictures on the website but nowhere to be seen. The sandwiches and sausage rolls themselves were ok but came on a wooden board, shared between the two of us. A second board with a large scone, cream etc and some cakes were the shared dessert. This tray was better - There was jelly in a skeleton head, blue cake, sweets and a mini roll with eyes on for the Halloween theme. it wasnt really worth booking in advance. Drinks were also included - a carton of juice for the child tea, again the Halloween glasses in the photo were nowhere to be seen. It was not busy and we were the only people having afternoon tea. The sandwiches and sausage rolls were ok, and afternoon tea is what it is. Staff were very friendly. But the execution of a themed tea was just not there, almost to the point of the website being misleading. if i had ordered it all from the menu, £20+ would have felt steep, i am sure the profit margin was healthy. i wish i had read one of the few negative reviews on here called halloween shafternoon tea from 2 years ago. we definitely had a better time than what they described but i would say improve the execution, lower the price, or scrap themed teas. food was ok, staff and cafe were nice, we would return but would just order on the day!!

Really nice selection of cakes and the girl who was serving us was warm and friendly. Good choice of sandwiches and drinks would recommend going after a trip around the wildlife park

Popped in for a quick drink today as passing by. Waited at least 20 minutes just for a couple of drinks. Had to cancel our order as we didnt have time to wait any longer. Girl on the front was by herself so i would expect some delays, but she didnt seem to be too bothered about how long she was taking. I would expect someone working by themselves to have a bit more enthusiasm. Looked great inside but 0 for service.

Went to this lovely, friendly coffee lounge today with my friend and my elderly mother. It’s bright and airy and really nicely decorated and has a comfortable upstairs lounge area to relax and enjoy the coffee, cakes etc on offer. The downstairs is a little more rustic and would suit walkers etc. We were really impressed that they also allow well behaved dogs.... always a bonus as far as I’m concerned, as we sometimes have friends with us who have a dog and we won’t go anywhere where we have to leave him outside. The sandwiches on offer unfortunately didn’t have any fillings to suit my dietary requirements, but I can’t praise these ladies enough for the lengths they went to in order to provide me with alternatives. We all enjoyed a lovely lunch and nobody rushed us to vacate the table either. The ambiance was very relaxed and, whist there was background music, that’s exactly what it was - unobtrusive. Absolutely first class service, ladies! Thank you! We’ll definitely be back. And next time we’ll be visiting the Tropical Butterfly House too. It looks amazing.... so watch this space for another review on that attraction at some point.

Popped in for a drink one Sunday in February. Everywhere clean and the decor was fresh and interesting. Service was very slow which was a shame because the girls were lovely and trying their best - but they were overwhelmed. Great cakes and good selection of teas and coffees. Easy parking and nice views out of the windows. A very funky place for Anston

Popped in for a quick bit of cake and some coffee with my partner before heading home and was so happy we did. The coffee was nice, the chocolate cake was fantastic and the atmosphere was amazing. We sat upstairs on the sofas and the ladies working were really helpful and friendly. Will definitely be going back. ❤️

Nice outdoor seating area, good at serving large groups quickly and nice food and drinks for lunch. Serve a selection of milkshakes made with ice cream made to order.

My friend and myself meet up every few weeks for lunch and this is amongst our favorites...lovely sandwiches and toasties followed by cream cakes and coffees..lovely outdoor seating area, very relaxing upstairs with comfy leather sofas and chairs,very pleasant views and friendly chatty staff...You don't...

What a beautiful coffee shop. Really lovely place, lots of choice of drinks and fabulous cakes. The kids absolutely loved the unicorn milkshakes, they even got the glass to keep. One member of staff but service was excellent. Would definitely recommend a visit .

We visited for afternoon tea on mother's day which was really lovely. Freshly made sandwiches, with four choices of fillings, sausage roll, huge scone with jam and cream and nice selection of cakes. Comfortable setting. Warm welcome from the two young ladies that were working...

Met a friend for coffee and thought it was great. Despite only having one member of staff on they couldn’t have worked harder to make sure we were happy.

Just returned from a day at the butterfly house ,where we enjoyed a spooky afternoon tea at Lottie coffee lounge ,service and tea very good ,two adults and three children really well catered for staff very helpful and attentive without being obtrusive

My wife booked afternoon tea online as a family treat. This cost £13.95 per head. It was Halloween themed and we had to book a slot before arriving, this was 1oclock. Despite having a designated slot we did not receive any food until 1.20 frustrating...
