Los Dos Amigos in Portsmouth

Just received my order via Deliveroo ... I can honestly say I have never been more disappointed with a food order! I ordered a total of 4 tacos, each one barely had any of the meat component and very lack lustre accompaniments, please see the attached pictures. The best bit about the delivery was the chilli cheese bites side and they are clearly brought in. Unfortunately, this is the first and last order I will be making. It was not worth the price paid.

Talk about small portions I ordered 2 dirty fries and I would not be enough to be classed as a main will not be returning

Excellent vibes. Loved the window serving out to the street and everyone was on top form. A wonderful experience all round and the beers were just excellent.

Amazing food even better atmosphere and people! Would recommend sitting in 100% the food is worth every penny you spend! Don't miss out on the loaded chorizo and cheese loaded fries they are stunning!

Great little bar & restaurant for a reasonable price. Went on a Sunday evening and there was a table, ordered drinks at the bar and food with chef that cooked it so he got it spot on! Best authentic Mexican food in Portsmouth!!

Had the dirty fries they was amazing 10 out of 10 and a chilli dog was really good Great value for money

my quesidila was burnt and not edible and the loaded fries were not even cooked. seriously disappointed!

Drinks were awful, ordered 2 margaritas and they were disgusting had to swap them for a beer and a cider. The guy djing had it blaring so loud couldn’t hear the person over the table from me. Staff were on their phones the whole time. If I could 0 stars I would.

The burrito was the size of a wrestlers forearm and the loaded fries could have fed the family, it was that delicious I couldn’t stop eating despite the fact I was wedged full. If you haven’t tried this then try it, I’ll be back.

driver got lost meaning food arrived late and cold

Asked for no coriander but had coriander. Not good.

Delicious pre-gig dinner! We were served straight away and food came out in good time. We ordered chicken and garlic fajitas, beef chili loaded fries and chicken strips. It was just right, tonnes of flavour and the right amount of spice. We will be back!

We love going to Los Dos Amigos, best burritos in the area, so generous with portion size and tastes so good. We want to try everything on the menu. Everyone I’ve come across working there seem like really nice people, such a gem in Portsmouth.

This place is not what it claims to be

The food was great, we had a naked burrito with halloumi and a veggie quesadilla, both freshly prepared and delicious. Cool interior and great friendly service.

Unlike some others on just eat the portions are not disappointing on opening, one of the better food providers

Been ordering from here for a while, i was normally very happy there with food. Unfortunately my food came cold and the rice was uncooked as well as the delivery being very late. It’s put me off from ordering again in the future

Delivery driver was very lovely

Food was stone cold, rice hasn’t been cooked, and it was just plain. Really shocking to be honest.

Pre-ordered food at 16:07 to be delivered at 18:00, it only arrived at 19:15 (over an hour late even though we ordered 2 hours in advance) Food was cold when it finally arrived and we were told the driver had picked up our order at 18:00, so it wasn't the restaurants problem, even though the status of the order wasn't updated until 19:00. This used to be one of our favourite takeaways, but it's not been the same for a while. Can only hope things change, but unfortunately we're going to be trying elsewhere.

Food was ok, rice was a bit hard and all of the extras I added to my burrito were all at the bottom of it. Bit disappointing.

Absolutely outstanding food! The only let down was too much sour cream/liquid on the pulled pork soft shell taco but everything else was gorgeous

Ordered a chili beef burrito with added chorizo. Literally the best one I've ever tasted - and enough for 2 meals!

Fabulous hot food, bang on time as always!

The food was well cooked and packed but didn't have as much flavour as I'd expect/like, did pay for added cheese in the burritos but didn't notice any. The loaded fries were good though and free churros welcome.

Just been in to collect an order. The chef was incredibly rude. Avoid at all costs.

Food was stone cold and tortilla was soggy, it’s a shame because the chicken and other fillings tasted good. I would probably just stick to ordering directly from the restaurant next time

Los Dos are my Amigos, great food everytime, just wish they had drinks on the menu.

Tasty food, good size portions, delivered hot and earlier than expected. The only downside was the additional topping added to my loaded fries was very sparse considering the extra cost, that was disappointing!

Los Dos Amigos is unbelievable. We ordered from Southsea to Cosham it was still piping hot and amazing quality! Probably the best nachos I’ve ever tasted

Ordered from Los Dos Amigos for over a year and enjoyed it - quality has dropped a lot recently. We ordered a beef burrito (picture attached), it had less than a spoonful of beef in it. Loaded chips were cold and cheese had gone hard. Nachos were barely warm.

I have eaten food in many restaurants and can easily say the food hear is at the top . Outstanding service , excellent taste , full of spice . Would highly recommend.

Ordered a beef burrito. It was extremely heavy on the rice with hardly any beef. Also ordered veg chilli loaded fries with extra halloumi and it turned up without halloumi.

Los dos amigos never disappoints! The vegan burrito here is addictive, and my partner loves all the meat options too. Very well priced for such large quantities of food as well! Have gotten both dine in and takeaway, the takeaway is packaged and travels well. Eat in is dog friendly too which is really nice!

Food was good but pretty expensive for the amount of it. Burrito was lopsided with the fillings, having all the meat on one side and the greens/sour cream on the other which was a bit disappointing.

Banging food, basically travelled 150 miles to eat it. Sound staff, great venue. Couldn't recommend more.

Top Mexican very good quality food, proper Mexican food the way it should be cooked. There is some rubbish Mexicans in fratton high Street and in town like Taco Bell. Los Dos Amigos is the Willy Wonka of Mexican food the others should take note.....

Superb selection of delicious sounding flavours so will definitely be ordering again. The chestnut mushroom and spinach fajita was absolutely amazing and proper halloumi fries! Absolutely stuffed now! Definitely recommend this place!🤩

The food was so tasty it was just a shame that the portions were small for the price. I paid £9.95 for a sharing box of Churros, which says it comes in a large box but there were 6 churros in a tiny box. My build a box ended up being so expensive and was so disappointing when it arrived. There was more lettuce in there than actual chilli and rice and they didn't include the jalapeños I paid for. That said though, it was really tasty but just very very pricey for tiny portions.

We’ve been ordering from here since May. The standard of food has remained delicious and the portion sizes have been generous. A great deal better than the chain brands in Gunwharf and on commercial road. Very happy customer!

It was a little challenging to find it first as it is located inside a pub. But they gave me a call and explained how to get there easy which was very kind. I have ordered a veggie burrito with fries. Taste was good, it was full of rice but unfortunately much beans or other vegetables like peppers and onions. Also in my opinion if you are having a veggie burrito (which is cheaper to produce in my opinion) why is it similar price than meat version? Never understood.. Anyway I would recommend it if you are after a juicy rice burrito.

Found this place on Uber Eats. What a lucky score... Absolutely stunning food. This is the unanimous choice in our house EVERY time. Great selection for the vegetarians too. Can't recommend them more highly. If you like Mexican or TexMex you can't go wrong.

We have ordered a few times now every time they are polite always on time for delivery and very friendly service is great and food is amazing every time

Finally some great Mexican in Portsmouth! The service was fast and efficient, the staff was knowledgeable and helpful. It is without a doubt the best TexMex you can find in Pompey. I was only disappointed that I didn't discover this place sooner.

The fajitas that I ordered was extremely salty, I hope they will try to take that in consideration when adding salt in the food.
