One of the best Italian restaurants ive been to for a while,We are new the village of freckleton and what a gem having this on your door step, Everything from the starts/mains/sweets/service was absolute perfect,Looking forward to our next visit

We moved to the area 18 months ago, we have tried different restaurants and eventually found this place. We went in a few weeks ago asking about takeaway but unfortunately it’s not offered here so tonight we decided to eat out with two of our children, we had a selection of starters, mains & desserts, everything was perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned, the service was prompt and friendly. My husband has very high standards when it comes to Italian food he has been working with Italian cuisine for over 20 years and we own a certified Neapolitan pizza restaurant.. There wasn’t a dish we didn’t thoroughly enjoy. This will definitely be our local Italian. This deserves place genuinely deserves its place on the map. Passion, thought and determination is what keeps these family run establishments going. See you guys soon And thank you for a great evening.

We are three mature women, in our 50 s. We had arranged an evening out and were looking forward to a catch up and a great meal. We arrived a little earlier than anticipated prior to our timed booking and chose to go to the bar for a drink. We were discussing what wine to have, and my friend wanted to ask about the wine, an expensive no longer produced wine.......only to experience what i can describe as wholly unreasonable, utterly outrageous & intimidating behaviour from the owner... My friend attempted to placate the owner , she is a very reasonable educated and polite individual, on two occasions she attempted to speak to him. He then launched into a racially motivated attack suggesting that she was not raised in the same way as them. Racial discrimination of this kind cannot be tolerated. UTTERLY DISGUSTING behaviour !!!!. The whole experience was further perpetuated by the owners son who would not stand up against his father . UTTER DISGRACE !!!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID !!!!!!!! If you have any moral standing this place must be avoided. I am disgusted that in this day and age that we experienced this. AVOID!!!!!

Lovely restaurant, with the hidden gem being the bar and terrace. A great place for drinks and a few dishes from the starters and specials.

Tomato Garlic pizza is very bland and the base was a funny texture and not cooked and even when we complained and it was re done the base was slightly crispy but the top felt raw . Same with the actual pizzas which unfortunately were very bland and had the same doughy base which didn’t actually feel cooked. As my mum was Italian I have had some brilliant pizzas in my time and this definitely wasn’t one of them. Wouldn’t recommend.

Superb food, service and staff, great atmosphere and decor. First visit and will be back again, a true gem in the area. Faultless

Went to Lorenzo's for a birthday celebration. We've been many times before. My daughter ordered the veal & that's all she got-- a slice of veal covered in sauce-- no vegetables, nothing else. Two of the men ordered steak & got potatoes & carrots with that -- odd you'd expect chips, they shared their veg with her. The food was delicious as usual. Drinks are expensive & the food is too. We probably should have questioned it at the time, but don't like making a fuss.

A super Friday night out. I had the Lorenzo's board to start, which is large, and includes 3 types of salami and 2 hams, olives, cheese and pickled veg, hubby had mushrooms in a 4 cheese sauce (he always has that, a favorite). Then we both had the fresh Scottish Mussels in wine and shallot and tomato sauce. Large portion, and well tasty! A very messy table and hands as we did the eating traditionally, but a true finger bowl of warm water and lemon sorted that out, and left us feeling replete and happy. A Sardinian bottled beer for me, draft true Moretti for hubby followed by a rose sparkling wine from the locality of the owner's birth area. Super, thank you, John, Sue , Ruggero and team

We have been fortunate to dine at this restuarant fairly regularly for a number of years, and have never had a meal that is anything less than excellent. The staff are attentive and efficient, the prices are very reasonable and the management always seem pleased to see you. It won't be long before we're back again.

This was my second time at Lorenzo's; the first time I enjoyed the food for the most part. This time was average. We went Friday peak time but the restaurant was barely a third full, which is sad for the restaurant; it's a tough market for the hospitality industry at the moment anyway. This is a fairly local restaurant for us but whoever said that this is the best Italian in the Fylde is merely highlighting a very sad indicment on the state of Italian restaurants in this part of the North West. At times, it feels as authentically Italian as Bella Italia. Cream in a Carbonara.. why?? Italian chefs would string you up for suggesting such a thing. Akin to serving Pineapple on Pizza. Why does this restaurant and many other UK Italian restaurants insist on asking if we want black pepper on everything? I haven't even tried the food yet, how would I know if it needs black pepper?! Indeed the food did need seasoning but the waiters had already left.. Picking up the wine glasses from the table to fill them rather than filling them on the table was also uncouth from the restaurant, when charging £16 for the cheapest bottle of wine. The menu doesn't change much, which is fair enough- but please make sure that the food is faultless- it was nothing special. You come to realise that you can make the same food at home for a fraction of the cost and next time we'd probably do that, which is a shame. I was fully expecting an offer of black pepper when the bill arrived, but by this time I was ready to go home. Won't rush back in a hurry.

Perfect food, best italian in the fylde.Very reasonable priced ,nice selection of food and drinks and very welcoming.

The food was excellent. Called at 5.30pm to book a table for the evening and was accommodated. We ordered from the set menu. The food was beautiful, great quality ingredients, the lasagne was beautiful especially. We had cheesecake for desert. The service was great. The meal was very reasonably priced.

Ate here last night following a last minute booking. The food was fabulous. Had garlic bread with mozzarella and the garlic mushrooms to start. Hubby had pizza and I had small portion of the special lasagne which was amazing and plenty enough

Another visit to Lorenzos and once again it didn't disappoint. We ate from the midweek specials menu. There was lots to choose from and the food was well presented and delicious. Very good value for money. There was a lovely atmosphere and the staff are very friendly and do everything to ensure you enjoy your visit. This is our local restaurant and is consistently outstanding. Would highly recommend!

I attended with my wife as a last minute get out with no kids. Moved to area and saw that it looked busy on weekends so would try. The starters we order mushrooms in a cheese sauce and cheese and ham board. Mushrooms basically had cheese just melted over the top of them but did have a sauce with it. Was cafe quality food not what I would expect from a restaurant. The cheese and ham board, well I could just say ham board as cheese was a small off cut was given no cheese knife to cut it. Presentation was awful ham was literally just thrown on the board with what looked like only but of cheese they had left. Olives, artichokes and pesto taste was like from jar literally have tasted same in Asda. Think for restaurant these should be fresh. The tooth pick was in the artichoke for decoration with a Italian flag on this. I don’t normal judge but this is not what I expected in a restaurant, this is kind of thing you get in cafe in Blackpool. I have ate in all the Italian restaurants around the north west and this had to be one of worst. The restaurant decoration was nice but the painted wall that touched our table had food stains on it. We’re we sat was too bright didn’t think I was in a restaurant but in a show, no music in background playing I don’t know if you can have this but I know other restaurants do so you could hear everyone’s conversation. I would not eat here again a lot better restaurants, cafe quality

Lovely eat out to help out meal last night. Haggis mushroom starter was superb and the tiramisu desert was the best tiramisu I’ve ever had. Nice atmosphere in the restaurant. Decent value drinks too. Parking nearby on safe public car park.

We visited last night for the first time since lockdown although we have enjoyed some delicious meals delivered by Rugg during the last few months.We felt totally safe and all Covid-19 precautions have been taken. We were greeted on entry and taken to our table which was in the covered patio area which we had requested. There was a patio heater available which ensured the temperature was comfortable.Our food and service was first class and we both enjoyed steak for main course which was cooked perfectly.We cannot fault this local restaurant and would wholeheartedly recommend it. Thank you Rugg, John and Sue and the whole team for your hospitality on our first evening out for many months- we cannot wait to return.

We both enjoyed a really nice meal on the Eat out to Save deal and happy to support our local restaurants. It’s such as shame the service doesn’t match the quality of the food which is always 5 stars. Unfortunately I’m leaving a 3 star review as we felt our experience was let down by the below average service. The main waiter plonks your food on the table without speaking, doesn’t ask if you would like any black pepper (ltalian) and no one bothered to ask if everything was ok with our food. It’s such a shame as the food was superb as usual but in the future we will visit other Italian restaurants.

Really nice atmosphere - comfortable yet dressy. Very clean and modern. Staff were friendly, attentive and helpful - explained a specific dish in more detail. Starters and mains were brilliant - the sauce with the veal was superb! Food was served really hot which is always preferable. The only thing we could fault was the desserts - Tiramisu coffee flavour was slightly too strong and Sticky Toffee flavour was not prominent.COVID-19 hygiene measures were in place but not at all disruptive to the meal. This restaurant is also taking part in the “Eat Out, Help Out” government scheme.

Been to this restaurant before, managed and owned by Rugg and his team and it has never disappointed. We were there again last night 25/07/20 with family for a celebration and it was stunning. Firstly all COVID-19 requirements are in place but in such a way safety is of paramount importance and there is no impact on customer service or atmosphere. The food menu was a mass of choice and cooked to perfection and accompanied by the most polite, attentive and prompt service, nothing is too much trouble and no rush, enabling us to enjoy our moment in the beautiful restaurant surroundings.Great wine choice and the sweets were so good added to a brilliant Irish coffee.If you’ve not been to this restaurant before, please do so, you will not be disappointed, it’s a ‘Jewel’ in the North West and so worth a visit. Thank you Rugg and all of your staff, such a great night made all the more special by you all, thank you.

Lorenzo’s are serving takeaways during the current closures. We have had a fantastic Mother’s Day meal tonight. Thanks to John, Ruggero and the team for carrying on serving wonderful food during these difficult times. I cannot praise this place enough.

Very warm welcome by lovely staff. I had the Lamb Henry and it was superb! Meat was nice and soft and the taste was unbelievable! Compliments to the chef for great food and reasonably priced to. I will definitely recommend having a meal here weather it’s the family or couples meal out.

A late booking but we were welcomed personally and we chose a quiet table opposite the open kitchen. Even though there was a large party in, we felt welcomed and just as important. Pate (as always) and fish cakes for the other half were warmly received after the gorgeous complimentary bread and olive oil/balsamic vinegar. Pizza (regular and small) with a side salad were also perfectly cooked and tasty. No room for a dessert but an espresso was needed. Attentive service added to a perfect evening. Lorenzo's is an intimate restaurant serving superb food.

Booked for a family meal, part of the party had already arrived and when we arrived, albeit it a little late, we were shouted at. Yes, shouted at as we walked in the door.

I have not been to this restaurant yet and was making an inquiry prior to booking.Too long a story to type but I rang to ask if there was an alternative choice for vegetarians and I was unable to get round to asking the question. I was interrupted regularly and was told that if I would shut up and listen until he had finished that I would understand. He misunderstood my reason for ringing and after waiting for him to finish talking about something which had no relevance to my question, he was not willing to listen to me but instead hung up on me. At no time was I disrespectable to him but his manner was a disgrace. I still intend to go if there is a vegetarian option and won't be put off purely because of this individual member of staff.

My wife and I visited for the first time, on the occasion our 53rd wedding anniversary. We were greeted BY NAME on arrival, even though John, the proprietor (who has a good sense of humour), had never seen us before! The authentic Italiam food was exquisite, and the service faultless, helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back.

My husband & I had been given a voucher for our anniversary which we gladly accepted. It was our 1st ever visit. We booked for a Wednesday evening not expecting it to be too busy. Although it was very busy with a couple of large parties at the establishment. The staff were very attentive and polite. The food was phenomenal. We had a fabulous evening. I would definitely recommend this establishment.

Six good friends got together at Lorenzo's. The food was good, I had veal stroganov one of the dishes of the day, it was very tasty. Everyone was happy with their food. However the four star rating was downgraded because of the cost of drinks. Two of us ordered bottled cider Aspalls and Kopperburg, we can buy these ciders in a local supermarket for £1.70, we were charged £5.50 & £6.50 for our drinks. RIP OFF.

From the moment you arrive you get a great reception. The staff are attentive but not overpowering and nothing is too much trouble. The food is excellent and we have never had a poor meal here. The atmosphere is relaxed and the dining area and bar have just been refurbished to a high standard. Well recommended

I live in the village so this restaurant is on my doorstep. My last experience a few years back considered it to be average. I realise a lot of work has gone into improving and enhancing the internal and external aspects - and to be fair it is work well done and really looks good.

This was our first time at Lorenzo’s. What a fabulous restaurant and probably my favourite Italian now. Fantastic food, all quality ingredients and freshly prepared. Loved the little touches of the complimentary warm artisan breads with dipping oil. Food was amazing and beautifully presented. Lovely tasteful decor, great friendly staff who were all so smartly dressed. Reasonable prices too. I had the pate which was gorgeous (loved the bread that went with it)followed by lasagne which was heaven. Thumbs up from the rest of the table for the calzone, chicken livers and pizza. I wish I lived closer now or that you moved your restaurant to Cleveleys. We will definitely be back.

This was our first visit since the recent refit and what we thought what could not be improved is even better now. Lovely, comfortable and well laid out. Service is exemplary and the food is fresh, well cooked and seasoned and very tasty. Gluten free options abound and staff are very helpful, attentive and unobtrusive.

We were driving home from a day out in Lytham when we decided to have something to eat rather than go home in the rush hour traffic. By chance we noticed the sign to Lorenzo's at the Freckleton Roundabout. It wasn't much past 5.30pm so we wondered if it would be open. Luckily it was. This is a lovely friendly place to eat. Just the right amount of service. The food was excellent with so much lovely choice, it was hard to choose.

Four of us stumbled across this place by chance. Truly delicious homemade Italian food, mixed in with other menu items like pizza and even fish and chips to cater for a range of tastes.

Visited our favourite restaurant last night to savour an excellent meal as always but also to see the newly refurbished restaurant area. It’s absolutely stunning and would definitely recommend that anyone wanting an excellent meal in great surroundings with first class service should try.

Visited Lorenzo's again tonight, first since refurbishment. The restaurant was as usual very welcoming, food excellent served by very efficient friendly staff. Had a lovely evening.

Booked a Friday evening meal here for 5. The reception on arrival was very welcoming and we were shown to a really nice, quite new, reception bar area, a drinks order soon followed. There we had starter drinks and were provided with the food menus. Soon after the waiter took our orders and then shown to our table in the main restaurant which is very well appointed, crisp and fresh looking. Our meals soon arrived and they were all delicious, the service was very personal and we all enjoyed the experience. All in all a very nice meal. Oh, and the bill wasn't too bad either.

I visited Lorenzo’s for a birthday meal with my family, as we had looked at the menu online and seen clearly listed gluten free options. As I have to eat gluten free, this made the dining experience a lot less stressful as I knew before arriving that there would be something I could eat. When we ordered, we made the waiter aware that I was eating gluten free. Shortly after ordering the gluten eating members of our party were given complimentary bread, and I was given some delicious gf crackers. The mains were delicious, and all of the pasta dishes could be made gf with their spaghetti. I had the seafood pasta which was delicious, followed by the meringue. Throughout the whole meal my dietary needs were met with respect and care, which was really refreshing.

Last minute booking at this restaurant, what a great place. Beautiful decor, very friendly and efficient staff and a well presented menu to choose from.

Dropped in for dinner with my wife as an early birthday treat. Went for the set menu and had two beautiful courses. Service very friendly and food superb. All together great value for just over £13 a head.

What can I say about this lovely Italian restaurant that I haven’t said before. It’s my favourite Italian restaurant and if it was my choice every time I ate out with family and friends this would be my choice every time. The food is always delicious and the ambiance is lovely.

Seen good reviews of Lorenzos so decided to try it! The restaurant is lovely, very comfortable, lovely and warm on a winters evening. We had dishes from their set menu-- two courses for £13.90, during the week. I had chicken livers to start and Manzo Stufato. My husband had Lorenzos platter and the lasagne. We both enjoyed our food,freshly cooked and tasty, only slight criticism is, that I'd have liked some green veg with my beef, otherwise it was very good. Most certainly we will go again and will recommend it to friends too.

Three of us visited for dinner on Tuesday. We were greeted at the door and shown to our table and menus given.

Tuesday evening went with a friend. Wednesday evening with a group of 27. On both occasions the food was delicious and everyone enjoyed their meals. As always Ruggero was friendly and welcoming. The staff serving us both times was friendly, helpful, courteous and efficient. The ambiance and atmosphere was as always lovely. I would recommend if you enjoy good food to visit this delightful restaurant.

Great experience what a lovely place great service good food excellent drinks

We booked a couple of days ago then this morning I woke up with a streaming cold. I simply wanted well cooked comfort food, and I was delighted with my meal. A lovely garlic bread with tomatoes, mozzarella and mortadella; then a hearty delicious home made vegetable broth and bread, followed by an unctious pasta bake with parmesan cream and a big piece of melting goats cheese. Put with that 3 bottles of John's speciality Italian beer , Just what the Dr ordered and extremely good value. Thanks again Lorenzo's.

We won a Meal for two at Lorenzo's in a Tombola Raffle at a local Craft Fair so we ate here on the Sunday Evening for Dinner. Always a little apprehensive when you win a free meal and a little embarrassing asking what it includes, but we needn't have been/

Restaurant recently refurbished and looks amazing Set menu excellent value for money, Al a cart menu has some great choices. Food was delicious and couldn’t fault it at all Defiantly recommend and defiantly will be returning

Always delighted with the food served here. Very authentic Italian food and drink. Great atmosphere always made to feel very welcome.

I think we were z big party of about 35-40 people and the atmosphere was great. The meal was excellent, everything was served without long waits and the wine was kept topped up. Lamb shank was very tasty. Excellent place for parties.

I went here for the second time this year and wasn’t disappointed with the food or service. In fact the service was a bit to quick when we walked in. Walked into the bar area and were given menus, hardly had time to chill before been asked what drinks we wanted and both felt like we had been pounced on. I suppose there is a fine line when doing that job and it’s difficult to get it right every time.

Welcoming, spotlessly clean, understated elegance and faultless service - we will be back. Excellent meal - shared platter to start (devine), perfectly seasoned carbonara for him; goats cheese/red onion marmalade pizza for me. Finished with the 5 choice Italian cheese & biscuits - with gluten free swerve for me ( as was pizza base ). Ambience, background music and attention to detail: all superb.

The service to food was excellent, venue is also fab and very modern. For starters we had chicken and pâté, mains we had sea bass (they changed he risotto to potato’s and veg for me) along with a pasta dish. Food was absolutely excellent and very tasty. Along with all the food we had 2 wines and a gin and this only came to £58!!! Complete bargain with a great night and excellent food.

Back in the oh-so-long-ago day we had friends who lived in Freckleton and it was also a good place to escape to for party nights with work colleagues when it boasted a Greek – and later Portugese – restaurant. But time and tastes change.

Fabulous food, great atmosphere and very attentive staff. We were made to feel very welcome . And the bar has an amazing array of drinks available. Also very reasonably priced.

A family birthday brought us to this smart but comfortable restaurant in the pretty village of Freckleston. It was a Sunday evening but was still well booked. Staff were welcoming and efficient, and the background music was pleasant and not intrusive.

Ate at Lorenzo's last night as a birthday treat for my mum. The food was amazing, as always. I had topside of beef off the summer menu and it was so tender, it was absolutely delicious. Lovely surroundings, great atmosphere. Highly recommended

We went with friends and we all enjoyed the whole evening. Really pleasant bar area , good efficient service. We all thought the menu was impressive and really had a great meal. Friendly staff and very clean premises. We will definitely return soon
