Friendly ... Great promotion deals ....perfect for waiting on my train

Thursday 2nd May 2024 Today, I gave this real ale pub next to Preston Railway station a go There was 1 real ale on the Theakstones Quencher pale ale it was grand. The barman in my picture was really good and pulled a good pint. The pub is an old type, spacious interior place. The music was a certain type of clubland music on my visit This pub is a genuine locals pub If there had been 2 hand pumped ales on when I visited this place, I would have given the full 5 stars off me today

Haven't visited this pub for 20 years. I'm really impressed. It had a major refurbishment at some point, making the place look bright, clean, and spacious. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Good drinks at reasonable prices. Offers on during the week till 6 pm on selected drinks. We'll worth a visit, especially if you've got a wait for a train. 2 minutes walk from the entrance by platform 6 at Preston train station.

They are no longer serving food unfortunately. Staff is very nice 😍 Beer is cold 🥶 Music is good 👍🏼

So much better since Gill isn't the manager anymore the place feels fresh and inviting (I don't feel like I am going to be part of a police drug raid when I drink there). Staff member is very polite one small issue is that they need to change the handles from strongbow to plain ones because I thought it was strongbow dark fruits I didn't see the front badge the cider they serve didn't taste nice and I had to pay for a bottle of mount cider, because I was told the cider from the pump was fine. But the revamp looks amazing it feels very friendly.

Nice drinks, nice staff and nice atmosphere! A unique layout with the large open plan feel makes it beautiful for a late night drink in summer.

Nice and posh inside, drinks a bit more expensive but not bad for the location.

Stopped here for a drink a few times while waiting for a connecting train. Not a bad little spot for a quick pint or 2.

Always have enjoyed the pints and drink quality. Lines are well looked after for quality of pint in my opinion. The RnB singer who comes on a Saturday night is great as well. Not always on though

Nice pub, clean and tidy. Staff were friendly as well. Ideally situated next to the railway station for a "last drink" before catching your train home. The downside being that it is a little "pricey" compared to other pubs in the area.

We visited by mistake. No real/craft ale, just very basic overpriced 'keg'.

First time I have been there, something about the place, and the staff acted like we ate old friends. Worth a visit

Great place for meeting friends before a night on the town. Right next to the train station so fabulous place to wait for your train home. Has the train arrivals and departure times on a screen so you can relax before your journey without worrying about train times. Great atmosphere

Popped in for a quick drink whilst waiting for our next train the lovely Olivia looked after us and very kindly help us out with some ice.

Great Beer (61 Deep) Service Excellent, Disabled Access Toilet also being used as a cleaning storage room. Not acceptable please rectify

You like music this is the place, for good music and live music. Jukebox is banging. You can download app for jukebox, pizzas are delicious, omg the staff are even tastier then the pizzas. Lovely bunch of lasses.

No beer drinkers pub this, thus not for me. Friends were happy enough and sport on TV. Literally 20 secs from the station so extremely handy for travellers.

Brilliant pub, lovely atmosphere

Great pub with great service and a decent pint but prices are a little steep in the evening they advertise it being cheaper during the day but it's a nice stop off if you are waiting for a train as the station is right across the road. There's also a screen showing live train departure times in the pub which is handy to just to look up at instead of using your phone and draining your battery.

A little gem nestled in the centre of Preston. The staff are lovely and beer prices are spot on. The beer garden has been nicely kitted out. Oh and it has a pool table! You don't even need cash as the bar and table take card.

A frustrating evening of travel soothed by a few pints, a chance to watch the Champions League match and a fantastic bar staff member, called Nick, who not only checked my next train times for me, but also arranged to charge my dead battery phone. Above and beyond.

Great last pub on the way home as its near the train statio . There was a guy singing who was fantastic that our group ended up staying for the whole of his set.

Great music on a Saturday afternoon.

The Station - Preston Good music. Quite a few options in drinks. Multiple TV screens. Must visit if one has time to kill or if your train is cancelled. Situated bang opposite Preston railway station and aptly called The Station, this place seems like a different world compared to the quiet street outside. Map of Preston to your left, welcoming interiors and loud music greets you as soon as you enter. Numerous screens all over the pub, this should be a good place to catch your game. The audio can be a bit distorted when the song reaches the bridge and my beer was a tad flat, all minor issues considering the overall big picture. They serve pizza, have a pool table, a secret garden and enough distractions to keep one occupied. Do not miss your train. The railway station is less than a minute away. Cheers!

came here as there was a 40 min stop over for next train , a great pub great prices and came here on the sunday and got a pizza and watched football cant wait to be back in here again

Don’t expect your pizza to arrive looking like the pictures on the menu. I ordered the Works pizza and it arrived with only one type of salami on it not the 5 offered. The beer was poor also. Avoid unless you are really hungry and have no other options.

It's a nice pub but the music was a tad too loud. It made it difficult to have a conversation, even in the garden area.

Well managed and staffed, good selection of beers, friendly and comfortable atmosphere, great jukebox, not tried the food yet but sure it will be good too, maybe a little expensive but if you don't mind paying for quality then I would definitely recommend a visit

Located on Butler Road by Preston Railway Station is The Station Hotel Pub ,a wonderful pub that we went into while waiting for our train to Liverpool. A really good pub,interior is superb ,pubby decor and furnishings ,tv's to enjoy the sport,an eye catching serving bar and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub,just a great pub to unwind in. We ordered a guinness each,poured in the correct manner even allowing time for the all important settle. My guinness was really good,a rich,creamy and most importantly iced cold,just a totally refreshing brew. We really enjoyed our guinness in here before we moved on and for a first time visit to The Station Hotel Pub we had a great time. The Station Hotel Pub is easy to locate along Butler Street by Preston Railway Station. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday,11am till 11pm. Most certainly worth seeking out if your in the area.
