Been coming here since I was a kid. The lovely gent now makes me lunch several times a week. Very lovely man and amazing food. I won’t go anywhere else for lunch when I’m working

My experience at Lord Sandwich was unfortunately very negative👎🏻. Twice in the last two days, after eating there, I've suffered from severe vomiting and diarrhea. This leads me to believe there may be hygiene issues with the food preparation. I'm not the only one – a friend who also ate there recently experienced similar symptoms. The health and safety of your customers should be a top priority. I urge Lord Sandwich to investigate this matter thoroughly to ensure there are no hygiene concerns that could be putting others at risk

This is the single greatest thing in all of human history, if you don't go here at least once in your life then you have not truly lived. Lord sandwich is the one true lord.

Very bad customer service started shouting at me and was really rude I asked to take a picture of the menu to show my family as there is no menu online but he said go back and ask them. Very poor service didn’t end up getting anything

How the mighty have fallen! Popped in today for lunch, how I regret it now!! First off want to say I USED to be a big fan of lord sandwich. The first 3 items I asked for today he did not have, no substitutes recommended or anything. I went for the salmon and avocado in the end, tiny couple pieces of salmon and 2 slices of avocado. £4.80 are you having a laugh! Also, if you’re going to make sandwiches and want to stand out surely you would have your own bread or atleast buy bread in from somewhere? Warbuttons bread is just not good enough! Guy was quite rude too - major improvement needed. 1/5

Doing the lunchtime sandwich run, we collected two takeaway Mozzarella & Pesto Wraps for office colleagues. We were dismayed at the poor quality of these wraps, they were so small and thin, when opened there were 4 slices of mozzarella and a glaze of pesto over the top, no salad or anything else. These wraps were £5.50 each, absolutely tasteless and definitely not worth the money. Felt cheated and conned. We will not be returning to Lord Sandwich.

Over rated and expensive sandwich. This place used to be good back in the day but I regret visiting today. Poor and expensive sandwich. I would question the hygiene practices also. I think it's had it's day.

Very rude man, as soon as I got in I was told that no phones were allowed in there. Not going back and to protect your peace do yourself a favor and dont go there.

Really disappointed to be honest. We went here as it’s always busy outside and thought we would grab a lunch whilst out and about. We ordered a tuna wrap with lettuce and a pastrami and cheese toasted baguette. As you can see in the picture my partner was not given pastrami which is peppered beef if you didn’t know… he was given ham and cheese and the lady behind the counter still insisted when she gave it to us that it was pastrami.. how can you get beef and pork mixed up? What would you do if I was Jewish? And couldn’t eat pork? I ate the tuna and lettuce wrap and it was very average, you don’t get a lot of filling for the £4.50 you pay and the wraps are tiny and compact. I’m sure I’ll get a rude reply from the owner but I wanted to make people aware that the staff don’t have a clue about what animal is in what meat..

It may be good as a food, but its behavior towards people is very rude, I think this is even more important than the taste of food, first of all, humanity is important, but I see this man lost him too.

The male employee is extremely rude. He does everything without gloves on his hands. The most important thing in a business is hygiene. I definitely do not recommend!

Unbelievably shocking customer service. Woman soooo rude!! Ignored us and when we tried to order she turned away from us and told us that they had sold out. Tried to order something from else - she continued to face away from us and tell us that they had sold out of something else. Customer service disgusting. Others say the same in other reviews. Best mexican chicken wrap sandwich I have ever tried in my life

Old guy is extremely rude, I asked for 2 Panini’s normal that I get been there 2x for same order. This first time I saw him there before 2 Asian guys very nice but this guy in particular just made up the price and charged £11 for 2 Panini’s I commented and he said you think it’s expensive I said not really just surprised as been here before and it was cheaper he said leave it then if u don’t have the money want it or not? I said yeah just make it “ as I had to go back to office “ and commented just don’t need to be rude to costumers and then he told me to leave he was the boss and he puts whatever price he wants to and told me not gonna serve me to go elsewhere. I’m shocked that places with ppl like this still open!

I wish I read the comments before going into this place. They make up prices depending on people and they are very ruge! The older guy says he is the boss there and can do whatever he wants and refused to serve me because I commented I bought panini there one time before and the price was not that high and roughly told me he was not gonna serve me as he was the boss and he charges whatever he wants. Hygiene is also of concern as looking into it today. No gloves and serves food with same hands taking cash and touching everything else without washing it before touching food. Shocked that ppl like this still get costumer service jobs 🤨

He said 'I DONT CARE WHAT IT SAYS, IT (BEING THE PAYMENT SYSTEM) SAYS IT'S. Which I replied ' okay I just wanted to check but if that is how you want to speak to people I don't want to order again! Won't go there again, nor will my colleagues.

Lord Sandwich is a very small shop but nestled inside that shop is one of the best BLT’s I’ve ever had. I’ve been here many times over the years (every time I’m in the town centre pretty much) and every single time I’ve been there the guy and lady have been a pleasure. I’ve seen a few comments remarking about these people negatively, but I can only assume these people are the problem. The two staff are always nice to me, every single time and the sandwiches in this place are some of the best in Bournemouth — if you’re around Bournemouth and fancy a sandwich, give this place a go, you won’t regret it!

A hidden gem is when something is deemed greater than it's reputation/popularity, but I describe it as Lord Sandwich. 3 years in Bournemouth, this hidden gem of a place has cured many hangovers, hangry moods and a general treat. It's a shame that it gets over shadowed by a mediocre at best, Subway. I will forever be a knight for Lord Sandwich 💝

2014 yılında Bournemouth da öğrenci olarak bulunmuştum ve her fırsatta gitmek istediğim bir yerdi. 2016 yılında bir ziyaretim sırasında tekrar uğradım ve harikaydı. Şimdi yıl 2022 oldu ve ben hala gidebilmek için can atıyorum :)

Eaten here a couple of times and had a takeaway baguette, great quality food always prepared fresh, reasonable price and great location!

This is a little gem of a sandwich shop that's been around for years. I've noticed a few comments about how the owner didn't wear gloves at one stage, but I can safely say he wears/wore them. I bought a toasted chicken mayo and salad sandwich, which was tasty enough. There's always a queue (the shop is tiny, and seats are only available outside) but that's because he makes the sandwiches fresh. And although the ingredients may not be excellent quality, it's still better than a Tesco or Asda sandwich, and it doesn't have a ton of extra/added preservatives. I'm sure most people will still opt for Tesco's £3 meal deal because of value for money, but if you want a freshly made, warm and tasty lunch, then this is the place for you. The lady at the till can get a little confused at times (make sure you re-confirm your order), but they're always friendly.

Amazing sandwich! Had the Chicken, Bacon and Avacado toasted with cheese! Absolutely delicious. The service was great too and the coffee was lovely.

After making an incorrect sandwich, I asked for the woman to ammend the mistake. They refused to correct the problem yet still charged me. Speaking to the manager also didn't solve this problem and my child and I heard the woman and man raising their voices at the back with contained swearing. My opinion is to not go there, the quality of their food wasn't that great in-line with their pricing.

Been coming here over 20 years and the sandwiches are still fantastic! Don’t even live in Bournemouth anymore but whenever I visit family here I make sure to visit Lord Sandwich too haha. Staff are lovely and there is a great variety of tasty fillings. Amazing value too.

Sandwiches are amazing,but only of the owner (older guy with black hair) does them. His son is the one that lack hygiene and doesn't give a f%^k about anything. Highly recommended !!!!

I have been keep going to Lord sandwich for about 5 years. Me and my partner love it. Great variety of sandwichs and baguettes. My favorite:coronation chicken with salad. My partner's mexican with cheese and bacon. It's the perfect stop if you are shopping in town.

Started working in the centre of town and found this place. They have a great choice of sandwiches and have been there 3 times so far. The prices are decent in comparison to the bland tasting ones from the supermarket. Sure to visit again very soon.

I have been visiting this sandwich shop in the middle of town since I was at school. Everytime the food has been excellent and good value for money. This place gets very busy during the school summer holidays as it's super tiny, but it's a gem :)

Having been visiting this luncheonette for many a year. The sheer fact that it's still around(and has been for over 10 years I believe) even in the face of many many new wave cafes speak to its quality.

The customer service from the Asian girl is terrible. First she got annoyed because we ask for the student discount, then in one sandwich we found a long black hair, which probably was from her and she argued that wasn't hers. Finally we ask later for a coke but before ordered she said: another hair!???. I don't recommend it at all

I popped in to get a drink and it was very much overpriced. The woman in there said the price, took the money and that was that. Manners don't cost anything. If I was rude then I would have been wrong but it works boths ways and she was rude. Won't be visiting again.

It's disgusting, this place has no hygiene. Went there today to order a panini and the man began doing the sandwich without gloves, while touching money and other stuff. He was touching the bread and I could see the mark of his fingers there. Also, as the fillings were a bit far so he had to stretch to grab them and while doing this I could see his sleeves inside the food and his arms..just disgusting. Even the sausages and bacon were grilling near the floor, in a small and dirty grill (we could clearly see that the grill was not cleaned in ages (and I went in the morning,so things were supposed to be cleaner!) I decided to tell him he should wear gloves and imagine what he said! "Are you telling me how to prepare food? Really? Just leave my shop, I will not serve you, go away!" Worst experience ever, I don't recommend anyone going there, dirty place and rude staff/owner.

I only just discovered this just around the corner from where I live it's simply great Perfect sandwiches, great staff who are very friendly and even the salad especially the avocados are fresh and ripe. why would anyone go to McDonald's or Subway ?!

Visited this wonderful little shop twice on a recent trip. The first time was on a whim and not sure what we would had found. Little is the key word - barely room to order inside! The chef appeared to have everything within reach standing just behind the counter. It was amazing to watch. Wonderful is the experience - fantastic, fresh sandwiches at a resonable price. Vegan friendly, too. Had to go back before leaving, excellent wraps the second time.

Oh my god, I've had to wait a few days before writing this review because it's taken days to get over how flipping incredible my sandwich was.Sometimes you have a sandwich spaced hole in your life... Lord Sandwich is that rarest of creatures, an independent food shop in the middle of a big town centre. It's nice to be recognised and valued for your business by someone who remembers what you normally order. I first visited here in 2003, and it's still going strong. The shop is tiny (two staff behind the counter, two customers in front) and the menu is literally the width of the counter. They do pretty much everything you could want in a sandwich or baguette, and in any combination, and there is a wide selection of hot and cold drinks. The food is very good value.

Ever since my school days this little sandwich shop has been going you can get nearly any sandwich you want, lovely filter coffee just a pop in on the go shop. In my younger days the shop front was black but now times have changed it's more modern. You can get anything from toasted sandwiches , banquettes just ask and they will do anything . It's nice to see something's don't change!

Tucked away in a small side road, opposite the House of Fraser, you will find this little sandwich shop. They have the most amazing array of sandwich fillings, so much to choose from it's hard to pick one! My husband decided upon pastrami, avocado and salad baguette and it was exquisitely presented. I had chicken, avocado and mayo sandwich, again full of filling and cost just over £2. The sandwiches are made to order, which may mean you have to wait a short while, but they're worth waiting for. There is no indoor seating as it is such a small place, but in fine weather there are tables and chairs outside. Definitely worth a visit, either to take a sandwich to the beach or a lunch break whilst shopping.
