Nicholas the absolute CHAMPION! He was a knight in shining armour to a guest and gave excellent customer service. Will be coming back for the mere chance to run into such royalty.

Nice atmosphere but don't go there for food. The biggest joke in London. 1h00 to get the fish fingers delivered and only half of the things which were mentioned in the menu were not served. I would never recommend this place.

Finding ourselves in the area with an hour to kill this evening, had the Lord Nelson recommended to us. From the road it looks ok. Inside? Totally different story. Bright, fun, colourful, great beers on tap. Staff are great, creating a real fun party atmosphere. Will absolutely return next time we are in the area. Oh and kudos for the music play list - totally enjoyed it.

This is my first time writing a review, and it’s due to how terrible our experience was. The burgers were DISGUSTING, and the fries tasted like they were cooked in old oil. There was HAIR on the hot sauce bottle. Even the coke was disappointing, tasting more like sugary water. To top it off, it’s not even cheap. You can find much better food and drinks for the same price pretty much anywhere else. I’m highly disappointed. Edit: I can’t respond to your message, but we already addressed the hair issue. Instead of resolving it, your staff brought back an even nastier bottle of sauce. It’s disappointing that you would respond in such a petty and unprofessional manner as a business owner. This is not how good small businesses would operate.

We had read very good reviews and went with joy and high expectations, but there were some mishaps that dampened our spirits. I could take the time to write what happened, but I realize there is no reason to when I read the owner's always insulting responses to customer complaints. A business cannot be 100% infallible and it is good to listen to the opinion of our customers, even if it is negative. Nevertheless, I will come back for a second visit and hope things go better. I will be happy if my new review is positive.

Have been coming here for years. The best pub, the best food, the best service. An amazing place. Simon is the greatest host. Used to work in this area but now travel to still visit this amazing place. Almost pointless to write a review as so great.

Top to visit in London. Phenomenal double burger

One of my favourite pubs in London, it always has a brilliant atmosphere. Usually sit outside but the rain meant we went indoors. Brilliant choice of beers, we opted for a pint of Budvar eachwhich was delicious. It was the first time I have eaten at Lord Nelson and the choice of burgers for meat eaters and vegetarians was amazing and it took a while for me to choose what to have. The well written menu is amusing and descriptive. Decided against the Farage (joking) and had the turf and surf which was scampi on beefburger with fries and salad and coleslaw my friend had the Soprano which she said was delicious too, it was chicken or beefburger with pesto mozerella and tomato...... Staff are obviously happy to be working in the busy pub and they were a credit to the owner. Cannot wait for my next visit to try another flavour of burger. The price for a burger and sides included is unbelievable for London

Excellent, quirky pub full of laugh and nostalgia. The bar staff are warm and friendly providing an amazing 1st class service with a smile and laughter to boot. The Nelson has an amazing selection of drinks and the burger…..just wow, wow and wow!!! If you are a music lover there is an eclectic taste of music piping through the speakers. Come and visit the Nelson for a fantastic, once (hopefully more occasions) in a lifetime experience.

Nice beers, amazing atmosphere, friendly staff and a good selection of beers. Unfortunately we didn’t have the chance to try the food because on that day the chef was not in but the staff was nice enough to allow us to order our food elsewhere and eat there. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Great portion sizes with delicious burgers. However, I was blown away by the homage to the one and only Noel Edmonds. There’s no no dealing at the Nelson, because these burgers are the real deal. Will be back.

Lovely staff, lovely vibe here, had one of their burgers - very filling and tasty - comes with homemade chips, lettuce, tomato and even some coleslaw! Reasonably priced - especially for what you get. Thoroughly enjoyed my time there and will defo come back!

A quirky pub with some decently priced pints. The outdoor seating is quite nice and definitely more comfortable than inside. The food was okay, the chips were a bit soggy and not crunchy.

I It’s a bit warm inside, likely due to the lack of air conditioning or it not working. However, the outdoor seating is comfortable and you can enjoy a pleasant breeze. The onion rings and chips are tasty. The Pimms were also nice.I initially ordered a glass but ended up getting a pitcher. The staff were friendly.

It's been a couple of years since I was last in this pub, but been here quite a lot, always late afternoon/early evening. I always found it friendly, with good service, and the beer was OK.

Great pub for a few drinks with lovely staff. Quite full on decor with lights, posters and disco lights so don’t come here if easily overstimulated!! Menu could do with some graph design input

Excellent burgers in numerous different flavours and toppings. Chips are home made and just like a genuine chippie but even better. Fast service but quite busy. Conveniently located if staying at the Travelodge across the street and Southwark Tube Station is a mere two minute walk.

OMG! what a great little pub and burger lounge. I can’t believe what I put in my mouth. The portions are great the burger meat is seasoned well. Big fat chip what isn’t to love. I’d say it’s a must of your in Waterloo and fancy a delicious burger and a brew.

Went for lunch after Ride London and in need of calories. Amazing burger menu. We all had vegetarian burgers and they were great. Chips are superb. Need to be hungry though as those of us who hadn't ridden 100 miles struggled. Decent beer too and you could spend time just reading the walls!

I've been to worse boozers, but this one feels slightly tired, with grungy decor that would probably have impressed circa 2005. The place had a loud, excited atmosphere which wasn't quite what I wanted for a Wednesday evening catch-up with a friend. Food-wise, they offer a remarkable array of burgers, though the 'Juicy Lucy' I ordered wasn't quite up to Minneapolitan standards.

We were here for an art workshop so didn't eat but wish we had as the burgers looked sensational! Quirky atmosphere and lots to engage with all over the walls and ceiling. Disco toilet is something else. I can recommend the cocktails.

The place has a really nice casual feel to it, and the various pieces of wallpaper/posters/snippets from various sources gives off a wonderfully anarchic sense of style. The staff were great (one wore a kilt so that's a plus) and the burger I had was delicious. Here's hoping this pub survives the years to come because it rocks

I stumbled upon you by chance - but it was a lucky hit. I thought the "Big Fat Burger" would suit me well and it was actually enjoyable. The ambience of the pub was great, the staff were very friendly and attentive. Glad I discovered you!

It says "best burgers in town" on the door and they are not joking. There's a great selection of burgers and toppings to choose from so we'll definitely be back to try more of them. Great, quirky, Wall art and atmosphere too.

We visited here as we were staying in the Travelodge opposite and I'm glad we did. It's a quirky spot with friendly staff. I had a hard time choosing which burger I wanted as there are so many options but went for the Deez Nuts burger. This burger has peanut butter, hash browns, pepperoni and mushrooms, served with chips and coleslaw and everything was delicious. Excellent value for money, especially for London and a really cool atmosphere.

Food was great but the vibe was even better! I got the aloha burger. Meat was piping hot and fresh. Also I’m not a fries person and THESE FRIES were the best I’ve had in my life. The owner Simon was super attentive and helped all customers and staff!! A plus: they have a student discount. 10/10

Ended up at The Lord Nelson in Southwark hoping for a classic British pub vibe to show my American friend, but it wasn't quite the traditional scene. Still, it was a comfy spot to chill, chat, and the laid-back staff added to the relaxed vibe. Good selection of beers, attentive staff, quite nice.

If you are looking for a great big dirty burger in a fun and slightly chaotic pub then this is the place. The walls and ceiling are completely covered with posters and prints, everywhere you look there is something to look at. The burgers are HUGE! The menu is extensive with heaps of veggie and vegan options as well. The staff are friendly and there is a good range of beers on tap as well as fun Xmas flavoured shots. Great spot!

A quirky pub with an OK selection of beers. We arrived after 2100, so no food, but that seems typical, so not complaining, just noting it. A reasonable place to have a beer - not sure why it is so brightly lit, but it isn't crazy bright either.

The older guy behind the bar (short grey hair) is hella rude every time without fail- we were half wondering if it was an act. Buy nope, just rude. Everyone else is lovely and really helpful
