A great find, just opposite from the Travelodge. Great atmosphere and wonderful food. Creative and interesting dishes and great value for money. Friendly staff and a huge range of choices on the menu.

A very nice and lively pub run by young guys with original decor. Superlative burgers and wide choice of beers. Not very cheap but prices definitely in line with the London average.

Lovely staff, lovely vibe here, had one of their burgers - very filling and tasty - comes with homemade chips, lettuce, tomato and even some coleslaw! Reasonably priced - especially for what you get. Thoroughly enjoyed my time there and will defo come back!

A quirky pub with some decently priced pints. The outdoor seating is quite nice and definitely more comfortable than inside. The food was okay, the chips were a bit soggy and not crunchy.

I It’s a bit warm inside, likely due to the lack of air conditioning or it not working. However, the outdoor seating is comfortable and you can enjoy a pleasant breeze. The onion rings and chips are tasty. The Pimms were also nice.I initially ordered a glass but ended up getting a pitcher. The staff were friendly.

It's been a couple of years since I was last in this pub, but been here quite a lot, always late afternoon/early evening. I always found it friendly, with good service, and the beer was OK.

Excellent burgers in numerous different flavours and toppings. Chips are home made and just like a genuine chippie but even better. Fast service but quite busy. Conveniently located if staying at the Travelodge across the street and Southwark Tube Station is a mere two minute walk.

OMG! what a great little pub and burger lounge. I can’t believe what I put in my mouth. The portions are great the burger meat is seasoned well. Big fat chip what isn’t to love. I’d say it’s a must of your in Waterloo and fancy a delicious burger and a brew.

Went for lunch after Ride London and in need of calories. Amazing burger menu. We all had vegetarian burgers and they were great. Chips are superb. Need to be hungry though as those of us who hadn't ridden 100 miles struggled. Decent beer too and you could spend time just reading the walls!

Was absolutely delicious. I chose the Lord Nelson and the special which was a McDonald’s burger. I've been to worse boozers, but this one feels slightly tired, with grungy decor that would probably have impressed circa 2005. The place had a loud, excited atmosphere which wasn't quite what I wanted for a Wednesday evening catch-up with a friend. Food-wise, they offer a remarkable array of burgers, though the 'Juicy Lucy' I ordered wasn't quite up to Minneapolitan standards.

We were here for an art workshop so didn't eat but wish we had as the burgers looked sensational! Quirky atmosphere and lots to engage with all over the walls and ceiling. Disco toilet is something else. I can recommend the cocktails.

The place has a really nice casual feel to it, and the various pieces of wallpaper/posters/snippets from various sources gives off a wonderfully anarchic sense of style. The staff were great (one wore a kilt so that's a plus) and the burger I had was delicious. Here's hoping this pub survives the years to come because it rocks

I stumbled upon you by chance - but it was a lucky hit. I thought the "Big Fat Burger" would suit me well and it was actually enjoyable. The ambience of the pub was great, the staff were very friendly and attentive. Glad I discovered you!

It says "best burgers in town" on the door and they are not joking. There's a great selection of burgers and toppings to choose from so we'll definitely be back to try more of them. Great, quirky, Wall art and atmosphere too.

We visited here as we were staying in the Travelodge opposite and I'm glad we did. It's a quirky spot with friendly staff. I had a hard time choosing which burger I wanted as there are so many options but went for the Deez Nuts burger. This burger has peanut butter, hash browns, pepperoni and mushrooms, served with chips and coleslaw and everything was delicious. Excellent value for money, especially for London and a really cool atmosphere.

Food was great but the vibe was even better! I got the aloha burger. Meat was piping hot and fresh. Also I’m not a fries person and THESE FRIES were the best I’ve had in my life. The owner Simon was super attentive and helped all customers and staff!! A plus: they have a student discount. 10/10

Ended up at The Lord Nelson in Southwark hoping for a classic British pub vibe to show my American friend, but it wasn't quite the traditional scene. Still, it was a comfy spot to chill, chat, and the laid-back staff added to the relaxed vibe. Good selection of beers, attentive staff, quite nice.

If you are looking for a great big dirty burger in a fun and slightly chaotic pub then this is the place. The walls and ceiling are completely covered with posters and prints, everywhere you look there is something to look at. The burgers are HUGE! The menu is extensive with heaps of veggie and vegan options as well. The staff are friendly and there is a good range of beers on tap as well as fun Xmas flavoured shots. Great spot!

A quirky pub with an OK selection of beers. We arrived after 2100, so no food, but that seems typical, so not complaining, just noting it. A reasonable place to have a beer - not sure why it is so brightly lit, but it isn't crazy bright either.

The older guy behind the bar (short grey hair) is hella rude every time without fail- we were half wondering if it was an act. Buy nope, just rude. Everyone else is lovely and really helpful

Quirky and original pub in Southwark, London. Well worth the trip. The Nelson Burger was, without any exaggeration, one of the best things I've eaten in London. You can tell it's prepared with fresh ingredients. An amazing portion and so very tasty, all for a very reasonable price. The menu has a long list of different burgers with a variety of toppings. I certainly will be back several times to work my way through the other burgers! Staff were very friendly with a quick service. I believe it's quite busy on a weekend as it's so popular. Can't recommend this place enough!!

fun venue, dry dry dry chicken response to owner: I tried it when I got home, what am I going to do- get a flight and come back?? It is what it is. From 3 stars to 1 for your defensive reply to someone who only said the chicken was dry. Sharing my opinion with other potential patrons achieves *something*, don't you think? How do you own a business and not want feedback? Puzzling.

Nice pub in quiet niche, close to Waterloo, The Cut and Lower Marsh. Lots of quirky design features, good choice of beers and friendly staff. Food is good- interesting selection of burgers. I had the jerk chicken burger with fries, which was excellent and there was a lot of it. Worth a wander, if you're near Waterloo Station or on the South Bank nearby.

Popped in for a few jars after a meeting in Southwark, ended up staying most of the night! Always a sure sign of a great boozer. They have Murphys on tap too, haven't seen it in London for many years, proper pint. Buzzy atmosphere, great staff, and the food looked spot-on. I'll definitely be back whenever I'm in the area👍🏽

I love this pub, I’ve been coming here on and off since 2008. I don’t live or work in the area any more so don’t get to visit often enough. First visit since the pandemic and it’s still the greatest pub. The food is excellent occasionally I’ll challenge myself to a scooby and call a hearse to take me home! If they would let me I’d move in

For 6 years I lived in London and frequented this place!… After 4 years I’m finally back and not only I’m so happy that the pub survived the pandemic, but also that it has barely changed at all! The menu and the decorations are different, but the place is still quirky, the food generous and flavoursome and the prices reasonable! Still one of the best (and kept secret) burgers in London ✨

Maybe the best selection of veggie/vegan burgers in London? Would give it 5* if it wasn't for this interaction at the bar: Me: Are all of the beers vegan? Guy At Bar: I don't know. (awkward silence) Me: Do you think any of the other guys behind the bar would know? GAB: Don't think so. (Eventually turns towards the other guys at the bar) Are the beers vegan? Other guy behind bar: Don't know. SCENE The staff definitely need some training. Following the advice on your menu (asking before leaving a review) really didn't help on this occasion.

Not the best Burges I had in my life, but the portion was huge, and there were plenty of choices. The vibe of the place is unique. I definitely recommend checking.

Edit: Now I know you can buy the chili sauce to take away the one negative I could find has fallen away. A brilliant pub. Great dog friendly pub. Brilliant burgers and nice staff. The burgers are imaginative flavours, big portions and cooked with care. If I had to find a negative it would be that I couldn't see a way of buying the home made chili sauce that comes in a squeezy bottle with the burgers - so so so good I want some for home!

I feel so lucky that we stayed just across from Lord Nelson during our stay in London. Very funky & vibrant place with a great atmosphere. So many interesting artworks and cool photos on the wall and there is a nice size outdoor area. Even during the week the place was buzzing 👍
