Lovely golf course, challenging holes in great condition. Beautiful scenery enjoyed as we played. Golf pro very helpful and welcoming as were the members who seemed to know we were not locals. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area.

After a long journey down from Bicester we were met with a warm welcome and our society tour got of to a good start, weather was good with no rain expected and the course was in great shape, especially the greens. After enjoying a good round our sixteen strong party headed in to the clubhouse to a good choice of beers and ales and after sampling a couple we then sat down to a superb roast beef dinner with all the trimmings, followed by waffles and ice cream. The staff really looked after us and we’d like to thank them for a superb day, if you’re visiting Looe and play golf or are a society this is a must. Bicester Football Club Golf Society.

Played the Looe course today 9th June. Not our first visit to Looe Golf Club. Problem today was rain and low cloud made the course visibility so poor that we couldn’t see the greens and more importantly other players. When we finished we found the course had been closed. No warning hooter was sounded or any other warning given. Major health and safety failure by the club who obviously didn’t want to give players a refund or rain cheque. Profit before safety

Booked a table last minute as we were kid free so thought we would teat our selfs, sat down 5 minutes later for order was taken then less then 5 minutes food came out, hardly any gravy. They do ask if you want more but it's pointless as their only a large spoonful in the jug, potatoes cold and deflated once cut into, clearly had been cooked and sat there for a while, very bland veg boiled parsnips, horrible. If you a regular you get a better range of veg and meat, but as the waitress pointed out the tables next to us were regular to them and a bigger group, they dont have enough (green beans ect) for non regular, but we get charged the same. On a positive the brownie was average. Wont be returning as a local and when asked for nice sunday dinner I will not be mentioning this place, shame as lovely grounds.

Our new favoured place for Sunday Lunch. Best cooked veg. in the area and we have tried them all. Not the usual overcooked stodge. The mains are always cooked well - not overcooked & dried out. Lovely service from attentive staff & what a view from the dining room plus great easy parking & not over priced drinks.

Played a round of golf with friends and enjoyed some challenging holes but great scenic views round the course. The course was in good condition although the greens were quite slow.

Best Sunday lunch we have had since lived near Looe for 15 years. Meat just right, vegetables perfect, friendly efficient waitress.Lovely chef. Been to many local restaurants this beats them by a mile. Just a point some investment needed in the restaurant , a hidden gem.

Visited whilst on holiday. Near to Talland Bay where we were staying so very handy. Nice club house and very friendly. Well designed course and quite tricky. Short but overall very enjoyable. However the tees and fairways needed work so not as pristine as the as the £35 price ticket demanded. We also played Whitsand Bay which was amazing and well worth the £25 green fee.

My wife and I played a round of golf at Looe GC this week.Despite the steady mizzle we enjoyed some lovely scenic and challenging holes. It was easy to find, easy to book and reasonably inexpensive.Although the greens were slow and difficult to read the course was in good condition. The staff were friendly and food welcome after our game.We will definitely play the course when next visiting Looe

Great golf club even when it chucks it down and course is closed! Very friendly members and staff. Great soup, liked both the mixed veg and the very tomato ones, plus off course had to try the Cornish Pasties! Returned to replay the 18 holes and had a very enjoyable time, back 9 harder but a good course for all abilities.

It is not only the greens that been improved here - the quality and presentation of the food is vastly better than it was. Well worth visiting for wholesome, tasty food and a good selection of beer and lager.

Came here for Sunday carvery, food was real nice but service was very poor. This is NOT a carvery it is a Sunday lunch, set menu, only carrots, broccoli and coliflower as veg, 3 potatoes, 2 pieces of meat and 1 Yorkshire pudding. Small meal. But over all nice.

Looe Golf Club is a bit tucked away but then lots of places in Cornwall are. When you get there it's worth the trip. The food is good and not over priced and the views from the lounge are spectacular. It's enough to make you want to take up golf!

We were recommended to try this place for Sunday lunch while in the area. Initially we were disappointed as the outside advertising states a carvery is available yet the lunch is family service (plated meat and potatoes with veg separate in a dish to self serve). However the quality and amount were very good. The beef was melt in your mouth tender and tasty and the roast potatoes were enormous. There was a choice of two meats when we were there, or you could have a bit of both. They offer child size portions if needed. The veg on our visit were carrots, broccoli and swede. The plate had a wedge of meat, two huge potatoes and a big Yorkshire pudding, all covered with gravy. A gravy boat was available upon request if you needed more. There was a vegetarian alternative but it was not shown on the menu.

The staff were very friendly. The hot drinks were alright and the cakes were alright. They didn't rush us. The whole atmosphere was really nice and lovely. I didn't have to raise my voice to speak to my boyfriend who has a hearing impairment which is a hearing aid.

Had a lovely meal,Rump Steak& Croft Burger, then sweets to finish. Great food and service. Shame the weather wasn't a little better as we would have sat outside after our meal.

We were on holiday and ended up eating here 3 times. We had our dog who typically was nervous in eating places so we never bothered eating out, we were given a table in the corner and asked for the same one every time which they obliged as she was settled, it helped that the staff were all so helpful and the food was so nice, would highly recommend the Pityme Inn and we will visit again, it made our holiday
