A wonderful family bakery, long may they continue, standards are excellent. Please support local businesses like this , we need them in our towns . The staff are lovely and the food is out of this world , I am so lucky they are in my town , thank you everyone.

Ordered a birthday cake from this bakery and it was delicious. All the products in the shop are freshly made daily. You can tell how good the place is by how busy the shop is. Would definitely recommend.

My wife and her friend, meet here weekly, and sometimes I join them, for lunch. They are a local bakery, with a Cafe. Always busy, as it is such a good bakery. The cafe side, is a bit small, but it is such a friendly place, with staff who are really friendly & helpful. Bacon butties are really tasty.

This bakery offers a good range of savoury and sweet baked goods - all baked on the premises, visible to patrons at the rear. There is also a very small cafe that offers you a chance to eat the goodies accompanied by a tea or coffee. We had sausage rolls, fresh out of the oven and they were delicious. And not salty, which so many bakeries seem to make them these days. The staff were pleasant and friendly. A great place to stop for a break - but be ready for a tight squeeze as the tables are pretty close together!

We’re not vegans, merely vegetarians! However it was a lovely surprise to stumble across this stall whilst on a walk around Durham. Whilst not hungry at the time, we bought some pastries and a scotch egg for later, purely because it was nice to see a trader specialising in meat free (or in this case vegan) products and not someone making a token effort. All of of our food tasted awesome and we’ll definitely make a point of visiting here to try something else the next time we are in Durham.

High Street Eldon Lane, Bishop Auckland DL14 8TD EnglandOrdered from the heritage cafe today Couldn’t decide what to have as there’s loads of delicious choices to be made Decided to order the chicken parmo with chips And two lots of quiche and chips And of course the sprinkle cake and custard Everything arrived piping hot and delicious Can’t wait to order again soon

Reform Place, North Road Small courtyard off North Rd, near Head of SteamThe quality, inventiveness and standard of food is fantastic, but for me, details like the temperature of the food or the seasoning/ flavouring is sometimes off. I visit on average 5 times a year. On some visits I come away thinking wow, on others it lacks in some areas. Experienced the Christmas menu recently which was lovely but it didnt blow me away like menus I've had here in the past. A slight annoyance is portion sizes are often inconsistent between diners, this time on at least 3 of the dishes. We all pay the same, make the portions identical please! Would like to return in the new year and support what is a great addition to the Durham food scene but I must agree with what's been said about the bins outside the entrance.
