Stayed at the Premier Inn. Had our meals here. Lovely food and amazing staff.

Great evening. Food, drink and atmosphere excellent.

Sadly the food and the service were poor

continental was great, cooked food was all bland and watery. had veggie sausages cooked to order with was great and probably the only edible cooked food there. service was non-existent, apart from the chef who brought my sausages who was lovely and polite. sat us on a tiny table right next to the front door despite lots of other 2-seat tables being available and having booked in advance too. seemed a bit disorganised, and they didn’t even check if you had paid they just relied on you telling the truth, so if you’re looking for a free breakfast go for it. stay away from the eggs unless you have no teeth or taste buds. lots of cross contamination too

Sampled breakfast and dinner, food was good, service ok and a quiet atmosphere, so no complaints, would go back.

Arrived to York this afternoon and were on the look out for a Sunday roast. Booked here, was seen to by a lovely lady named Hannah who was very courteous and assisted us where and when needed. The meals were spot on, nice and hot, cooked to perfection. I tried a Mocktail and it was super refreshing and tasty. Thanks 😊

We often frequent our local Table Table in Huddersfield. This was our first time visiting the one in York. It was a nice surprise to find the cooked breakfast items were on as a buffet (Huddersfield is cooked on request). Had the usual items on offer, cooked and continental selections. Juice, tea, and coffee machine (didn't see a hot chocolate option though, which the kids usually ask for). We'd booked the day before. Had no issues. We were seen to quickly upon arrival, paid, and were seated. We were there over an hour. Being able to go back and get more hot food was nice. Interior is pretty generic for these kind of places. Warm and cozy feeling. It was pretty busy (Wednesday morning) and the five of us were seated at a table that could seat 8, in an open area. This was nice, as we usually got stuck in a separate area with a smaller table for the seven of us when we go to the Huddersfield one.

Good food, reasonable prices considering uts York, great service!

We recently had a mini break in York and went for breakfast both mornings at the Longboat. We had the all you can eat breakfast for £9.99 which is such good value for money. Cereals with a choice of milks (soya, oat, and whole milk) with a choice of fresh fruits and berries. Fried breakfast including grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, bacon sausage fried and scrambled eggs hash browns beans (great selection) also toast available with a choice of bread, jams etc. pancakes, buns croissants (so much choice) and as much tea, coffee and fruit juice as you could drink. You cannot fault it. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Thanks

Had lunch here while staying at the Premier Inn. Service took a while, however they were busy. Food was very nice, and I liked the Christmas additions! Would eat here if staying in York again.

It's another premier Inn restaurant, okay, nothing special, I visit regularly through work, the menu is limited, ping and ding stuff, the brekkie is fairly good, certainly worth the tenner, and the fish is freshly cooked

I was staying at the Premier Inn at York for 3 nights and booked for an all you can eat breakfast for £9.99 - booked day and time as it can get busy - just used it the once

Nice restaurant in the city center just tucked in premier Inn. I tried to reserve a table online but was given a later time, I called em and was asked to come in. All u can eat £9.99 and continental app you can eat £7.99 I think. Meals were freshly prepped, English breakfast with an assortment of cereals and unlimited coffee and tea, a decent supply of fresh fruits for those that fancy it. Service was good, polite staff , ambiance was soothing , clean and relaxed. Would definitely recommend

Was a long time between Starter and main course.

Had a perfect cooked Steak. Meal was generous in the extreme. Waitress was exceptionally friendly and helpfull. Answered all our queries about Yorks transport system etc. Couldn't recommend this place enough.

It seemed to be a bit of a strange place. The first time they asked me to wait for a table for 30 minutes but there were plenty of free tables, I think half of them. The next day I was able to get a table right away and everything was going ok, but when I ordered another beer they probably forgot about it and I had to ask again after waiting for 10 minutes. Finally I was asked if I'm done, when I said "almost" , a waiter answered that I have a few more minutes. It sounded like I had to finish all I have within a few minutes. Never experienced this before. Do you guys have some time limit for dinner?

All you can eat breakfast to start the day with

Poor service. Waited 30 minutes for drinks to be served never mind food! Food was ok but nothing special. Decided not to order a dessert as did mot want to chsnce how long that would take. Not the fault of staff who were working hard, just not enough of them. Restaurant handy for hotel but that's all that can be said. Same place where you get your Premier Inn breakfast.

We were staying at the premier inn and we went here for a meal it was excellent and there was a waitress called (Siwan) she was brilliant ,servce like never before thanks again you were great 14th sept 2023

£10 all you can eat breakfast decent quality. Walk in of the street. No brainier.

Lovely meal and so helpful as my grandson wanted scramled eggs for his tea. Highly recommended. The fish pie was delicious 😋

Absolutely beautiful place with lovely service, I didn't get the ladies name, but she had red hair and piercings on her face, she was always asking if we were ok and was just a lovely person, Absolutely deserves a raise, delicious food and just a lovely place.

Great price, and the black pudding is awesome. I just get the number 4 bus and hop off and i'm there. I will take my 8 year old and 11 year old next time. As they can eat for free.

Tried their Sunday roast and wasn't disappointed for the price. Bear in mind it is 1 plate only and you can't go for refills (I believe there is an additional price for that). What makes this a not so overtly positive review is that, while some dishes were very good, some were inedible. The gammon for example was very juicy and the potatoes fluffy, but the beef was overcooked and super dry. As I said, bordering on inedible. The place itself is nothing special, you can tell it has pretty sterile hotel vibes, which makes it quite anonymous.

Fabulous breakfast this morning, lovely friendly greeting by Dawn and Donna, it really does make you feel welcome. Will return again! Great value for money and service with a smile! 😊

OMG the food was delicious! Piri Piri chicken was lovely and spicy and my husband loved his steak and ale pie. Lovely and hot and served by a friendly waitress.

Went to longboat today. (21/5/2023, for my 60th birthday, with family. When we arrived they had put a birthday banner up, also got me a card and chocolates. Thoughtful gesture, food was excellent, staff polite and helpful. Would highly recommend.

I go there regularly for food or just drinks. It's very comfortable & not noisy & the staff are friendly.

What a great place to eat. You get good sized portions as well as lovely desserts that they do too. You can also have an alcoholic drink or just a soft drink. The prices are fair too, with the meal deals on the back of the menu. You can order a meal and a dessert for 10 pounds. Overall I would highly recommend this nice restaurant.

Very competent and friendly staff, Sally, and excellent food, the atmosphere was a bit empty but that was probably more to do with the time I was there as it looked a lot busier when I passed by later.

We went here once for breakfast and twice for dinner :) it was lovely - breakfast is all you can eat, and it was very tasty! You can get cooked (full English) or continental, and there is plenty of choice. Dinner was good and filling, lots of options on the menu. Reasonably priced. Staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was very nice.

Stayed at premier inn, and visited table table twice in the evening. Complete contrasting experience each night. The first evening the waitress was engaged and very good. The 2nd night, we had to sit ourselves, request the children menus, prompt the staff that no one had taken our order after 10 minutes. When finally ordered, the children's food did not arrive as requested and had items missing. Complained to staff of which we received an apology (!)...... but by then the 2nd night experience was already ruined. Shame to end a great day in york like this.

Amazing food top staff and great atmosphere. Its just outside of the town centre so it avoids all the busy hustle and bustel. The staff are amazing and make you feel very welcome. The prices are fantastic for the quality of food you get and the menu is extensive.

Piping hot lasagna was great and nice to have a salad and garlic bread to accompany it. Great service with friendly staff and great atmosphere. Good value.

Absolutely atrocious service. The young staff were extremely rude. They charged us twice for one meal and refused to give us a refund. Was waiting over 2 hours for our food, ended up food coming out with the completely wrong orders. Ended up walking out and going to whetherspoons. The one girl even said she’s sick and tired of people complaining. Clearly we wasn’t the only ones with the same experience as when I looked around everyone shared the annoyance about the service. One girl said she is ‘thick’ and can’t work out why and what has happened. We ordered drinks at a discount time and because we were waiting so long we went to the bar to ask if we could get them an hour later and then put them through at normal price. Honestly the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. This was on the 1/11/2022.

Good value for money, a very nice Sunday lunch with good service

FAMILY FRIENDLY... NO FRIENDLY... NO RACIST... VERY LIKELY Last night was the first night for us and our two children to have our first family trip to York. We didn't make a reservation so we knew we might not get a table when we were waiting in line after two gentlemen at the sign "Please wait here to be seated" at around 7pm. Yes, we did wait there quietly on that area for over 15 minutes with two hungry kids who behaved well and whispering how hungry they were. We got more than enough time to scan through all the prizes and guidelines donation to children hospital at the waiting area. In those 15 minutes, that female staff who took the two gentlemen before us to their table and "should" see a family of four after them simply ignored us when she walked pass the bar and near the waiting area. She even made a brief eye contact with me when she was preparing some wine bottle and glass in the ice bucket at the bar, yet she did not come to us until 5 more minutes later. No greeting, walking slowly and reluctantly to us, the female staff stared at me and waited for me to start the conversation. "I haven't made a reservation. Can we have a table of four please?" She only looked at the laptop. "No... we don't have a table until 8pm." "No problem, we understand that. We would appreciate if we can know this earlier." "Sorry about that" I bet you can tell when people said sorry without feeling sorry. We were properly dressed. Our kids were quiet. After we left, we walked outside the restaurant and found that all customers inside were western looking. The only reason I could think of why we were treated like that (or not treated at all) was our Asian faces. We have walked in to several more restaurants and rejected before we got our dinner last night. Your restaurant was the only one we got impolite treatment. Thanks to you, we had an opportunity to teach our kids how you would feel and could protect yourself when you met rude people. We are grateful that so far it was the rudest thing we have experienced in this country. I have a humble suggestion. You may consider to change the sign at the waiting area to "Please wait here to be seat or maltreated".

There were not many people eating when I visited, so it was very quiet. I enjoyed the selection of music. Service was excellent, as was the food. My rump steak was delicious!

Very reasonably priced pub food. Very friendly service. We had an early dinner around 4pm for a group of 8 and this was perfect. Great 2 mains for £10 deal before 6pm on a weekday. No complaints at all about the food.

Food was ok at a reasonable price. I had scampi and there were 15 pieces, so big portions.

Good service by Harvey who listened and carried out my friends requests as she is celiac. The manager came out to query something as they thought it had Gluten in it so all very well considered. It was not busy at all so nice and relaxed atmosphere and not rushed.

Very homely restaurant attached to the Premier Inn. Staff lovely and food always quick, well prepared, and fresh. Enjoyed dinner here whilst staying for work a few nights and everything we tried was perfect! Only downside is a slight lack of vegetarian choices overall - but, the ones they have are very very good!

Spent the day in York, then finished of with a meal. Nice food and staff.

Went here for a family meal with Mother and Sister and own family. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Food was excellent. Great environment in the pub.

Had a starter of topped nachos and a main of steak. All very nice, seated promptly, told about how the meal deal works as I was staying at the adjoining Premier inn. Order was taken within 10 minutes and served within another 10 minutes. Restaurant was very busy. Main of sirloin steak was cooked as requested and again served within 10 minutes. Staff were polite, attentive and showed understanding to other customers with a special dietary need. Menu is quite varied with lots of dishes to suit preferences.

We go fairly regularly for the ALL You Can Eat breakfast buffet. There's plenty of food to choose from , there's healthier options such as fruit and yoghurt or you can also go full continental. The price is very reasonable and kids eat free which is even better!

Took my partner to York for his 21st, and stayed at the Premier Inn South. The longboat was right next door. The first night our server was Ellie, lovely girl and very polite, I didn't see any other staff serving around my area of the restaurant and Ellie was hot on her heels serving tables, bringing drinks while retaining great service. Food was lovely. The second night our server was Imogen, and again lovely polite girl and made sure our food was okay for us and kept checking if we wanted any more drinks/food. Brilliant customer service from both ladies and deserve recognition. Will be returning 👍
