Delightfully expensive. We had a quick snackie and dash in a rush and the staff were lovely and calm.

I'm a life long fan of Nero's,I always have been, but since when has it cost £4.15 for a small vanilla latte!!?? Absolutely robbery now,I only was here a few days ago and it was not that price!! It's taking the piss!?? Honestly I think I'll find somewhere else, there are cheaper places even in york that do decent coffee!

Just had drinks so can't comment on food. Service quick. As with most cafe Nero would benefit from an update.

Friendly service, good cheesecake, delicious Chai Latte and according to my wife the coffee was also great, better and better priced than Starbucks.

One of my favourite Caffe Nero beside the H&M. Great atmosphere I would say as before I used to go to Costa in the parliament street but not anymore. Customer service is great, atmosphere is fantastic & coffee's are awesome. I like that they remember my choice always so before I put order they always guessed what I want.. I would give their Batista’s 5/5 for their service. In busy days like weekends it remains very busy in the queue but on weekdays you may get seat in & enjoy their inside view. Appreciate the designer as well. I mostly love their Pistachio cake along with my favourite Cappuccino with Caramel.

I recently visited Caffe Nero in York and had an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The café has a cozy and inviting ambiance, perfect for relaxing with a good book or catching up with friends. Caffe Nero in York is a fantastic spot for coffee lovers and anyone looking for a comfortable place to unwind. I’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend it to anyone in the area!

NOT DOG FRIENDLY! Very rude manager who told us we weren’t welcome because we had a tiny puppy sleeping on our lap rather than on the floor. Any other ‘dog friendly’ cafe is fine with this, even a staff member agreeing it’s fine but the manager wouldn’t allow it due to ‘health and safety’ rules and told us to leave (after we’d just purchased drinks) and take it up with head office. Avoid if you want to go somewhere your pets are welcome

Nero is my absolute favourite coffee place, the brand itself is great and it has easily the best coffee of the big chains, its actually strong unlike Costa etc with weird watered down rubbish. However, after waiting a oddly long time for our coffee, the server realised she had made them with the wrong milk, and tried to give them to us anyway... so another immemse wait for finally the right coffee... place wasn't busy. Not the usual standard from Nero.

This café has a nice cosy atmosphere, and I like the use of the library room divider filled with books. It was good to leave the rain and flooding river outside and enjoy good coffee. My only criticism of Nero is the very limited food choice for coeliacs. However, we enjoyed sharing a chocolate brownie with our latte and flat white

Looks good from the outside, inviting. I tend to patronise more individual places rather than chains, but Café Nero is one of the better ones and they do sell fantastic almond croissants. As well as the apricot ones, I see that they now offer raspberry croissants too. Very popular and busy due to their reputation and their central location. Queue wasn't too onerous, but it was slow moving, but staff were efficient, professional and friendly. I tried their coffee and pistachio mousse cake and it was really rather yum, light and fluffy. Large plate glass windows overlooking busy Spurriergate, so ideal if you like people watching. Clean loos. Think on balance I prefer their smaller branches, but their bakes selection was good in here. Albeit of course, it is always too tempting to have the wonderful Drift Inn just opposite.....!!

Nice new addition to the Nero family in York. The space has been used wisely and there’s plenty of seating. No food eating because I only had coffee.

The new space is lovely and purposefully designed with plug sockets and USB ports at every seat. Food and drink were up to the usual Nero standard. Staff training still clearly underway as it’s early days, so it was a little slow and things got a bit confused, but it was all done with a smile & everyone was obviously trying their best. I’ll definitely return to this location again.

Surprising and happy find. Looking for a curry near our bnb we cane across Woodthorpe Spice. We had the Prawn Patia and Samosas for a starter - both excellent, the prawns in particular - followed by Nawabi Lamb and Tangail Lamb. These mains were really well spiced, very tasty and highly recommended. If we lived nearby, I would work through the entire menu - everything looks good and are all so well described.

Not a boutique hotel, it's a guest house at a push. Beds dipping and offering no support, no offer of a traditional breakfast & certainly not cheap. Finish not good, door sticking, asked for a room with a view, given a building site view. Angel was lovely and helpful. Perfectly located & that's it. 😞 would definately visit York again but this place needs some attention & thought.

Lovely park, well looked after, close to the city but nice place to get away. Can combine with a nice stroll along the river.
