London Darbar in Redbridge

5 stars of excellence! We had our wedding reception at London Darbar in the larger of the two event spaces. It was absolutely brilliant and if your in a rush and don't want to read our full review below, simply know: we highly recommend you host your celebrations at London Darbar. They provide exceptional service. They do it all here - catering, decorating, event management, recommending partners such as our DJ (name), A4 events who designed our wedding stage, and Rana and his team, our fantastic photographer. As a busy couple we were looking for a venue that could take the stress out of trying to gather different suppliers to coordinate and come together for a successful reception 150 guests. London Darbar was the perfect fit. Every member of staff there are so friendly, resourceful and efficient. The cooks know their profession and we are still getting praise from the guests as to how delicious the food is. The on-the-floor bar and service staff were so pleasant and organised. Nothing too small was an issue for them and they kept everyone replenished. When it came to cleanup, Sumit and the staff were so efficient and helpful in helping us and letting us wait for our transportation. The security guard welcomed each guest and was so so pleasant to us all. Both managers (Indy and Sumit) were actively hands-on on the day, visibly going out of their way do ensure a flawless celebration and asking if everything was okay. Their communication is 5*. The venue space is beautiful with a high ceilings and good LED lighting to create atmosphere. Large screens showed our slideshow pre-wedding photos. The bar area is well stocked and buffet station easy to navigate. I was able to use the bridal space upstairs which was so convenient to take a few minutes for myself as the day goes by in a flash. Staff were so nice in offering to bring food and drink for us here if we wanted - like I said, they were accommodating down to the finer details. Our reception was prepared with everything in place ready on time. As all tables, seating, centre pieces, porcelain, table numbers and even menus are included in the package there really wasn't anything for us to worry about. A special thank you to Mr Indy Dhall who was with us from start to finish. He was always ready to speak to us anytime in our preparations and with any changes we wanted he was flexible and experienced. I felt very reassured as his time management and organisational skills are excellent. We thank everyone at London Darbar for making our wedding day so special for us and our guests. We couldn't have asked for anything more as you helped us create wonderful memories. We found you through a friend's recommendation and hope our own review provides others with the idea of using your services for their own events too as they won't be disappointed.

The owner Sukhi Thaker and the general manager Indy are very rude. They speak over you when trying to speak to them to get clarity. They may be running for 16yrs but that’s because there is no other dinner dances in Ilford. People don’t go there for them!!!

Try and refrain from attending this place. Something that should be a happy event for families gets destroyed by the lack of service and rudeness by the manager “INDI”. A family of 12 wanted to attend for a major birthday for a senior family member. Because he did not wish to cater another table - he was rude, progrative and was being very offensive. Rather than trying to cater for people’s needs of a group of 12 people he said he doesn’t wish to “deal with this”. INDI is a major hindrance to the customer service provided by this venue. Stay away from such abnoxious individuals.

A group of 28 of us visited for October’s Aaje Nachle for my partner’s 50th birthday celebrations. My partner is Indian and a number of the group are of Indian heritage but most of us aren’t. None of us had been before. Wow, what a great night we had. The food was good and plentiful and the soft drinks were replenished regularly so it was only necessary to buy alcoholic drinks on the night. The DJ and the entertainment was good too but what really made it such a great night was the incredibly warm and welcoming atmosphere and the fact that everyone just wanted to enjoy themselves. The dance floor was packed all night. We’ll be back.

I booked London Darbar for my husband's birthday event. We were greeted by Indy and Sumeet. Both were superb during our initial meeting. They explained the logistics and we were invited to view the venue's two main halls. We were pleasantly surprised at how spacious and excellently decorated the venue was. Indy remained on hand to answer any questions we had throughout the whole process. At no point did we feel pressured to hold our event there. We could not fault the professionalism from start to finish. The birthday event was a success and all our guests had a great evening. The DJ played all of our requested songs, the only downside was that the music was a little loud during dinner, but once he was informed he turned the volume down. The food was delicious and we had positive feedback from our guests. Overall, we had a fantastic time at London Darbar. We were impressed with how polite, humble, professional Indy and Sumeet were. They were also both attentive to our needs throughout. We would recommend the venue and would definitely use them again.

I had my wedding at London Darbar venue 2. I must say, Indy and Sumit have been accommodating since the beginning. On the day I didn't need to worry and they helped with the logistics and made sure the cake and food was served at the times given. All my friends and family absolutely loved the food and the waiters kept filling plates whenever food was running low. They were also accommodating to my friend’s egg allergy and ensured they could provide her alternatives. If you are looking for a small intimate wedding with amazing food and great hosts please do consider London darbar. I will make sure to come again and use them for my next functions. We recently had our son and daughter’s joint birthday party at London Darbar. It was a fantastic event. Indy and Sumit treated us just like family, attending to every detail, making sure the evening ran smoothly. All the staff are lovely and friendly. I was very lucky to celebrate my 50th Birthday at this great venue.Last Friday of the month is the Bollywood night and amazing value for money. £25 for a 4 course meal, unlimited soft drinks, live entertainment and DJ. Great vibes, tasty Indian food and a very mixed crowd of people. I would definitely repeat the experience and highly recommend it for large groups. Alcoholic drinks are a bit expensive for this part of London however, I guess they have to make the money from somewhere.

I hired London Darbar hall for my Chunni event. Indi was so helpful and responsive with the organisation of the event. He was very helpful throughout planning. On the day, everything ran smoothly, from the food, to the DJ and the decor. Our guests loved the food. Overall, great service and I would definitely recommend London Darbar Thanks

Drinks are very expensive. Music good. Staff rude, only smile when talking to each other. No one likes their drink to leave the glass as they slam it down on the bar. The music is extremely good. Food is spicy, so be prepared. But when asked for yogurt, they got it straight away.

We came first time to this place and food is better then the other places best food I had in east London. Good quality food and staff was very polite and fast. Will recommend to others as well cheers !!!

Ordered the lamb biryani and meat curry, the food here is average at best. Nothing all too great, the desert menu was lacking. The service was ok. Asked the waitress to make our curry dishes a bit spicy- clearly failed to pass on the message to the chef in the kitchen.

Attended a family wedding pre party and reception staff are hard working and never let our tables run out of any food drinks ... loved the starters main meal was nice DJ was fantastic great venue

Alrededor de 18 personas asistieron a la cena mensual y eventos de danza. Hemos asistido a una navidad hacer antes, y lo disfrutamos mucho. De nuevo no nos decepcionó. Gran ambiente, comida, gran baile, buen personal y se hicieron un montón de buenos recuerdos. Mi familia desde Australia viene en los próximos meses y sin duda nos reserva para esta noche!

Asistimos a una boda sorpresa 50 aniversario de mi tío y tías hoy en la sala de Londres, frente al restaurante darbar.Estupendas instalaciones, un personal muy atento y realmente hicieron que nuestra noche. La comida era vegetariana comida del norte de la india de la más alta calidad. Teníamos para canapés gol guppa luego para empezar había vegetales mixtos, samosa pakora paneer, chili y cilantro papri aloo.Para principal había masala de paneer, daal makhani, Chana masala, mezcla de verduras, servido con arroz Jeera y nan raita. Para Dulce había un trío de kulfi, Gulab Jaman y tarta sin huevo. Una fiesta muy sabrosa y deliciosa.Después de la cena bailamos a las canciones de algunos excelentes antiguo hindi 60 y en casa antes de las 11. En general, todos nos pasamos una noche fantástica.

He sido un aficionado a la anual 'Aaja nachle noches' - mis amigos y yo estamos deseando la comida, pero sobre todo la música y baile. Es realmente uno de los pocos lugares donde puedes ir en East London para tales eventos; imaginar nuestro disgusto cuando la mayoría de la música que tocaban música club inglés! ! ! No me malinterpretéis, me encanta que también, pero no es lo que pagamos por, o lo que es anunciado! A arruinar la noche más, el DJ literalmente cada una de las canciones mezcladas dentro de menos de un minuto de jugar- así que usted nunca puede hundir sus zapatos de baile.Así que cada vez que había pedido una canción asiática, fue jugado por 30 segundos, luego rápidamente seguido por un asiático.¿Por qué no venir la noche" nombre Dance'? Al menos sabemos qué esperar y puede re-planear nuestra noche!Sí, sí, yo sé que él estaba tratando de satisfacer algunas de las no-asiáticos también; pero pasar el rato, no saben lo que estábamos comprando entradas para? Una experiencia de danza asiática - así que ¿por qué no dar lo que estaban esperando.Ahora habla con el gerente era otra terrible experiencia - él era grosero, arrogante y desdeñoso, él dijo que él no tome a bordo de nuestra crítica constructiva de nuestra experiencia de la noche - qué tipo de gerente dice que?Él no sabe que no es la comida que vienen a 'Aaja Nachle para - eso es sólo un promedio. Es para llevar a mi amigos para disfrutar de la experiencia asiática de baile.Estoy muy decepcionado de que no le recomiendo este lugar a cualquiera otra vez.

Excellent food, and great music.They had live Indian dancers and live Dhole player .soft Drinks were included in the price. The alcoholic drinks were central london pricing.overall excellent party at the Derbar.

We came to the dinner & dance as had been recommended, we had family visiting from mauritius and it was one of the boys birthdays. I've just had a baby and after being checked in an hand stamped they then decided I couldn't enter as my dress wasn't dressy enough! The staff were quiet rude! Eventually letting me in this once! We then later saw a man wearing blue jeans! During starters they then added another chair to a table that my family were seated on which was an already crowded table meaning there was even less room. Then I took my baby to use the baby change facilities to find the cubicle had been locked and when I explained this to staff was repetedly told but the baby change is there only when asking to speak to management they then found me somewhere else to change the baby. Food was average and all dishes were fairly spicy. Not a happy experience and will not be returning or recommending In the future!

We dined here one evening during a visit to London. The service we received was only satisfactory and the meal was "different". I have eaten many chicken biryanis but none like this one. It was almost too hot to eat and was served dry without the usual vegetable curry sauce. My partners meal was described as hot and spicy yet it lacked the hot and the spicy. We wont rush to go back

I booked because on the web it was Lebanese. Clear misdescription as it was closed. It was indian.

So we were looking for a banquet for our sons first birthday party. Google led us to london darbar. When we visited it and met the manager 'indy' we instantly knew this will be our venue. He offered us a great package with table decoration, crockery cutlery, music, tv access, chair covers, food tasting. In the day, the staff was very cooperative, friendly and professional. They kept refilling drinks and juice. The food and serving was excellent. The hall was brilliant. Indy (Manager) was helpful, friendly and a genuinely nice person! He has a heart of gold. Our guests loved everything and our sons birthday party couldnt have been better! Theres parking spaces available at the back, a lovely dance floor, table centre piece can be arranged according to theme and waiters slice and serve the cake. Looking forward to visiting again.

The ambience was nice and we were sat almost immediately. The waiting staff was polite and were happy to give us our time to make our minds for what we wanted to eat. The starters of chicken tandoori and paneer tikka was quite good but we were disappointed with the main course. The chicken was undercooked and all the curries were pretty bland and tasteless. I had high expectations from the place, but was left disaapointed.

I gathered with my friends on a birthday party. Very good atmosphere and food was awesome !

The food was great as always and the portions are large. The waiter did not inform us that the starter we ordered was for two people - we ordered one each and were full on the double portions! So we took half our mains home then! :-)

Disappointed by our usual Indian restaurant of choice, our friend enquired of his Indian friends where they ate and was recommended the London Darbar. The recommendations were well worth following! A relaxed atmosphere with attentive staff who are a cut above the usual waiting staff, genuinely helpful, they suggested a milder dish for the younger diner in our party, which turned out to be an excellent choice. All of our dishes were well flavoured and excellent portions, the lamb saagwalla was the most tender curried lamb I've ever eaten. On top of that, the Dhal was absolutely brilliant, everyone tried it and we were blown away by the complexity of subtle flavours. An ardent meat eater, I could easily be persuaded to go veggie for the night and just have the dhal and bread. Our new favourite Indian destination, everything that had gone wrong at the Pakwaan, is done right here! We will definitely be back!

Decent food, Service does needs a bit of improving.

Came here with the in laws a few months back now. I am always adamant to try new Indian places in my area as there are many that are hit and miss and those I am really used to. Came here on a rainy Friday evening with family to try it out. Was pleasantly surprised with the dishes and the food went down well with all in the party.Will recommend this place for anyone who hasn't been already!

Me and my husband tried this restaurant yesterday for the first time.We were really surprised, the place was lovely, service was quick, food was delicious.Definitely we will be back soon.

One of my favourite Punjabi Indian restaurants. Authentic tasting dishes. Great service and always had a pleasant meal here. Always busy with a great atmosphere. Too many great dishes to mention just a few. Have been many times in the past. It’s a shame it has closed down now

Went with friends for lunch last week Starters were reasonably good.soft drinks were not that impressive.we been charged quite a lot for lemon & mint nonalcoholic drinks.Main course was also not out of the world.Tandoori rotisserie & Naans were not cooked properlyPlace was very noisy because there was a party.Room were we were sitting was bit dark.Service was ok but expensive for what we ate.On the whole can be visited once in a while.

We were a group of 4 people. The ambience and the food both were excellent. Original indian taste and there were variety of dishes on the menu as well. Dal makhni is a must try. we had a great time.

Visited last Thursday. We ordered chicken afgani which was excellent along with chaat & paneer folks masala. Hosting was also friendly and pleasant.

London Darbar is a nice venue for a private function (venue located adjacent to Valentines Park).The food was well flavoured and the waiters were efficient... a little too efficient at times, i.e. hovering at the table whilst people were finishing the food on their plates, but in fairness to them it was probably to keep the function to schedule.We asked for a couple of highchairs and the staff were happy to assist.The only gripe is parking* for an early evening function. The Redbridge Council website is useless for finding information but it turns out you can park on a single yellow line (i.e. on Cranbrook Rd or nearby side streets) after 6:30pm.*Parking in East London in general is a problem and even more so since the Olympics!! The ONLY lasting legacy it seems!!!

Had a great time at london darbar with around 15 of us.Made a reservations a few weeks in advance and had a call on the day of the meal to reconfirm. Lovely decor & most of all clean.Barman was excellent making great cocktails. Food wash fresh and had great flavours. A lovely night out. Looking forward to next time.

Was in London Darbar during our Hindu festive Durga Puja month.. Have been London Darbar earlier as well.. It's one of the few authentic Indian restaurants in and around the Ilford area.. Great, tasty food.. Great staff.. Highly recommended

From the warm welcome, the lovely environment, to the attentive service and delicious food, the London Darbar is a delight.The authentic cuisine tasted as good as it looked (mouth-watering), with a variety of speciality dishes away from the 'norm', which were delicious. It was just the 2 of us Saturday evening, but they warmly welcomed families and children whilst we were there.We will definitely return.

I have been going here often over two years with friends for the once a month dinner and dance. Its so fun, and really worth the money, theres a variety of food and drink and entertainment for the night. Dj is always good to. I would say its perfect for birthdays, celebrations such as hens.

Great atmosphere! Great Food!! all at reasonable prices its an affordable fine dining experienceI have been to the likes of Mint Leaf and Tamarind and this is no way near as expensive with food that is just as good. I often visit this place now and the staff are very attentive and helpful.

Fine Dining Indian style. We were staying in Ilford and looking for somewhere nice o eat close by on my tastecard.The food was excellent, I liked the decor and fish tank.I was a little disappointed that the owner told us that he would "let us" have our taste card discount this time only on the sea food starter (prawns, were lovely).I read through the terms after graciously accepting and saw that it said nothing of this restriction in the terms. It didn't detract from our evening, my Rogan Josh was lovely.

Perfect place to take the family! We had our own private room where we all indulged in food sat on the floor. Such a homely place and perfect if you don't want to be disturbed by any one else. Great if you have a big group and the staff are all so friendly.

I went with a group of work colleagues, drinks were expensive. Had to share the plates of food. Main course seemed reheated, rice was lukewarm. Not on my list for return visit.

The food was very good with ample vegetarian options.The service good even though waitress has no idea of the dishes-no problem for us .The one negative point smoking outside at the entrance off-putting as going in and coming out.

Tucked away In the city could,t find it at first but then that's a good thing I suppose. Once Inside it's more like a Theatre Massive Dining room which takes some filling up.Design & Decor is Wonderful really a Nice space to sit and relax and Enjoy Great Indian and amazing Breads topped with lashings of Ingredients Delicious. Owner is very present and accommodating A Real Gentleman.

Really like the food in London darbar. Prawn starters are always nice. My favourite curry to order there is the chicken chettinad. It's really unique and not that available in other restaurants. Among the vegetarian dishes the aubergine curry was exceptional. Would definitely recommend it if you are in the area

A group of four adults, we chose this restaurant as he had some excellent reviews. Some confusion over which side of the road but when we finally went in the right door we were made very welcome and welcomed by name.The staff are very attentive and although the waitresses English was a little limited she and all her colleagues couldn't do enough for us and were patient, polite and welcoming.The food is amongst the best Indian's I have ever had and I have visited some top London restaurants. The presentation was superb, the flavours and quality amazing and they had proper deserts rather then the usual offering of odd shaped ice creams.Can't praise this restaurant enough.One small mistake made with our order and they were very apologetic and quickly sorted it.Décor is nice, background music not too loud, toilets clean.

From outside does not look brilliant but inside nice decor and ambience perfect for up to 200 guests parking a bit awkward but overall recommended

I have been living in east London the past 15 years and can honestly say this is one of the best curries around. As soon as the flavour hits your mouth you are instantly taken into a place that nobody can explain. Out of this world. Peshwari naan, korma, lamb bhuna, and rice is by far my favourite. This place is honestly brilliant. The only downside is the prices, but as they say you pay for what you get! So underrated. They need to open a place in central London. There is no other place on par with this place apart from Tayyabs in London. That speaks for it's self. Don't think twice when you read the bad reviews. It is truly fantastic

Been here several times with friends and as a couple, the food amazes our taste buds in every instance and along with wonderful service and ambience this certainly is the favourite local indian restaurant this side of the town. Must try their chefs special and ask the manager to customise it how you look and have never been disappointed.

Both the food and the service are just amazing. The price is reasonable as well. This is what I would call an 'authentic indian restaurant' and would not hestitate in recommending this to anyone who wants a good curry.

I booked the restaurant for my wife's birthday party on Friday 11th December 2015, we booked the three-course set menu... in total our party comprised of 33 guest 20 adults and the remainder were children and young people... It was the most wonderful occasion, the food was totally amazing, hot to the table, full of flavour but not too spicy. The service was spot-on, the staff were friendly and courteous, and actually couldn't do enough, I asked for extra starters and the staff were very obliging, nothing was too much bother...my father-in-law and 3 other guests are totally vegetarian, and they even commented that this was some of the most tasty food they had ever encountered.... no-one was left disappointed... Additionally we had some toddlers in our group, who as we all know, have my limited attention spans, they were allowed to walking around in the restaurant totally uninhibited... I read some mixed reviews about this place, but decided to go ahead with the booking anyway, to be frank if you treat the staff with dignity and respect you get it returned 10 fold... We had a fantastic experience...and my wife had the best birthday surprise... Thank you to all the staff at London Darbar.

I held my engagement and pre wedding event with London Darbar and then they catered for my reception - food and service on all occasions was amazing. Indy handled my events with such patience and helped take the stress away. Indy took care of every detail and is a great event manager. All my guests that I have spoken to post wedding cannot commend the quality of the food/service enough. I highly recommend London Darbar for any events and will most certainly be holding my future events there too. London Darbar and Indy have now become like family!

Great food , throughly enjoyed our evening . Called ahead to book a table for 8 people .. Staff friendly and very accommodating. They prepared a round table so people could see eachother while dinning.We all loved the magic towels nice touch to end the meal. They even called me 10 minutes after I left the restuarant to advise in had left my cardigan. I would recommend this restaurant and visit again.

We had our engagement event at London Darbar at the end of September (2015). It was a decision that we will always cherish, as every part of the event was impeccable. From the pre-planning with the management (Yaz & Indy) to their care to detail on the actual day. The food tasting day was pretty amazing, because the options just kept coming and the recommendations by the head chef, Sumit, were spot on. Each dish complimented the next and all made for a perfect dinning experience on the day. I would thoroughly recommend London Darbar to anyone thinking of holding an event in East London or Essex, as this as an extremely professional organisation, that made our special occasion that little bit more special. Visited this restaurant on a Thursday evening. The place was quite busy but we were immediately seated. The staff were very well coming and attentive. As soon as we sat down, we were given a plate of complimentary popodums. The restaurant has a good selection of drinks and also a great choice of food. We ordered hara bara kebab, chaat and alo tikki. The food was authentic and portions were good. We had lamb, malai kofta and chilli nans for the mains. Again the portions were good and food was freshly made. I would definitely be visiting this restaurant again as we were served delicious food by smiling and helpful staff.

My husband and I hosted our son's 10th birthday party here. This was our very first time organizing a party so we were very apprehensive. My husband contacted them and they called us for a taster meal. We were quite impressed with the menu. On the day of the party we were so pleased with the venue and decoration. They took care of everything. We thoroughly enjoyed the party. Our friends were very pleased with the place as well. We even had a entertainer who arrived on time and kept the children so entertained. It was a surprise party for my son and he was so impressed and happy. We couldn't have chosen a better place to host our party. One of our friends who came to the party even hosted their son's first birthday party in the same place same venue 1 month later.

Good food, good service, nice ambience. This is our favourite local Indian restaurant. The food is consistently good and beautifully presented. The service is good. It is far removed from your traditional curry house, with elegant decor, cocktail bar, and a cool vibe. It is family friendly.

I arrived at 8pm with my family of 15 to celebrate a birthday, we had booked a table in advance and were seated straight away. Overall the atmosphere was nice and the mixed grill we had was tasty but the portion was too small, so we had to leave as it was to expensive for the portions they were serving.

This place was hyped by family, unfortunately it didn't live up to it. Things started off badly having booked a table it took 15 mins to be seated. There's no where to sit while you wait so wasn't impressed to be waiting around near the entrance. Once seated the ambience was nice. The starters were nice, mains and dessert were disappointing. Not sure I'll be going back any time soon.

Great tasting food... The staff was very very nice and friendly!! Very helpful!! Would definitely be going there again!!

I only go for the chicken biryani, it's absolutely mouth watering my fave lovely restaurant with a beautiful fish tank.

We booked a table in the website for a certain time and got a confirmation. After two hours I got a call from someone telling us in a stern, rude tone that its not possible to give a table for us at the time and they bumped us 30-45 minutes later. I had a movie booked and told that I cant move the dinner time. But the person called appeared unapologetic and didnt offer any reason why they are bumping and just said they are busy today. Apparently they bumped us to offer to some of their known and favourite customers and selectively filtering customers. I was bluntly told to either accept or just cancel the time and I said I am cancelling. I am never going to this place again, there is already another user who had a similar experience.

The food here is really tasty and well presented. It is proper Punjabi food and the staff are really friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is generally good. I have been here many times and highly recommend it. I will definitely be back again. My only issue is it is pricey particularly for soft drinks and alcohol. Also the red room needs air con and better lighting, it's a bit dark. Food and service are great though, I cannot fault it.

We have been visiting London Darbar since last 3 years and the food has always been exceptional. It is one of the few restaurants with authentic North Indian food which is a rarity in London with most restaurants serving Bangladeshi, Nepali or Pakistani flavours as Indian Cuisine. The atmosphere is quite nice for a romantic candle lit dinner as well as a business meeting.

I really enjoyed my visit here. The food was delicious, the service was great and overall it is one of my favourite Indian restaurants. I would definitely recommend it!

Its a decent restaurant with good cozy ambience and delicious food. I would recommend you book a table in advance, especially for weekends and holidays.

It is tipically płace for Indians, Pakistanis and similar people. Maybe is not that bad place, but not deficytem for others.

Absolute shock toThe system this place the service the food the surroundings are absolutely vile, we stopped of at this restaurant as it was the closet to our hotel and ordered drinks and starters. I was shocked with the food served warm reheated Indian starters chewy stale and tasteless. I changed my mind and decided not to order my main course and asked for the bill, I was charged £75.00 for 2 drinks and a platter of starters. Visited the restaurant after watching a movie. Took a bit of time to find parking. The ambience was good. The service was pretty decent, portion sizes were good. Food was a bit spicy for the kids but overall nice.

Amongst the many restaurants in the area this one stood out. The smell from outside was so tempting it was hard to walk past. Service from start to finish was exemplary with seating well planned and no draughts or dodgy air con. Food was served at a very steady pace. Draught beer was also a highlight. Great experience all round, highly recommend.

we went there last weekend and though the food was good/ok, the service wasnt.. They came to take our orders even before we were sat down and kept coming back even after we asked them to give us a chance top look at the menu.. then my friend got into an argument when he mentioned he couldn't eat maida and the guy said so he shouldn't have paratha because it had ghee in it(like really?).. not going there again

I made a reservation (toptables) on a late friday afternoon and was called immediately to confirm my booking. Their customer service is pretty good! My first visit was 2 years ago and I remember food being pretty tasty and it was no different this time :)Staff are efficient, prices are reasonable although we did wait a good 45 mins for our mains to arrive .. the restaurant wasnt busy. The wait wasnt ideal. I also must point out that it is never pleasant to ask a customer if they would like the bill haha it would be best to mention this to staff. Overall very good and would visit again ;)

Didn't expect Arabic food rather than Indian, or the tents within the restaurant, low tables or seating on cushions that we had! I think there are several restaurants in their venues in Ilford, and this is just where we randomly booked.The food was really good (I had the vegetarian feast but the others had a lamb feast and a chicken feast). Portions are very large, quite spicy but delicious. Wine is quite cheap but the lamb feast is £27.50, so not a cheap night out with drinks. We will definitely be going again!

Despite living round the corner this was my first visit here. A party of 5 went for a birthday. The interior was clean and modern (with a show fish tank as the centre piece). As soon as we were seated we were given poppadoms and chutney which were really nice. Looking at the menus it was clear to see that the drinks were pricey. 5.50 for a glass of passion fruit juice was hefty but it was made fresh. The starters were good and the mains were rich but beautifully balanced. This is definitely somewhere I would go again.

Im going to keep this short.Wonderful food, even better service. Full of Indian people so go figure! Other Restaurants in the 3 mile radius are either stupidly overpriced or have lost their charm most likely because they believe in their own hype.I doubt anymore needs to be said.....

Had my Cinifan at the Darbar recently. They did a brilliant job. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and helpful!
