I would love to tell you what we had to eat but have no names. We asked the wonderful waitress for a selection of good authentic Sri Lankan food. Attached are all the pictures. We had 2 different types of breads, a fish curry, a paneer and an okra dish. The starter was a deep fried fish ball. Nice and spicy. We will definitely be returning.

We had a really great experience at Ceylon Street! There are a lot of options, including a wide array of vegetarian dishes. Moreover, all meat options are halal. This let all 6 of us to order different dishes that all tasted delicious, and each had good portion sizes and prices. I especially recommend the mutton curry and the mutton rolls! Finally, the service was also excellent and we even received complimentary naan bread from the helpful waitresses. Really recommend Ceylon Street for future Indian/Sri-Lankan food cravings.

We went there for breakfast buffet, the food was amazing and good variety for the price. The staff were very welcoming and they had lovely music in the background. Made us feel like we were in India. We also ordered masala dosa for £5 and the food was out of this world and good portion. Amazing experience. Well done team!

Heard about this place from a friend, only visited today to have a birthday dinner. Service was great and the food was absolutely delicious, especially the chicken Briyani and mutton koththu. Highly recommend it and will definitely be visiting again soon

Ceylon Street exceeded my expectations with their fantastic Parotta and Chettinadu Chicken Gravy. The Parotta was delightfully flaky, while the gravy was rich and flavorful, making for a perfect pairing. What truly set Ceylon Street apart was their exceptional service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant dining experience. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and well taken care of.

The food was amazing at very reasonable prices. Would definitely be visiting again.

Cleanliness below average and biriyani that I ordered had a piece of egg shell on it. Glass tumblers and plates were dirty. The ice cream I was given had a spoon in it. I will never ever go back to this restaurant.

We went first time to taste their food instead of going to those restaurants we normally visit in Gantshill/ Newbury Park areas . Staff was excellent and food was served very quickly (which is also unusual in a good restaurant). We ordered chicken 65 and prawn pepper and few more starters . Chicken 65 is only 5-6 pieces , very big pieces and fried a lot . Prawn pepper is for £12, but very small prawns around 4-5 (not a king prawn ) pieces and frozen prawns (like rubber prawns). Rest is some vegetable mix. Then we ordered main including seafood rice . That was like Egg fried rice , full of egg fry . No seafood (prawn , fish or squid there). Rotti with Prawn was good , but again prawn are not fresh . Ford quantity and quality must be upgraded, very poor compared to similar restaurants, especially charging more than others . Atmosphere and staff was good .

I ordered through deliveroo, lamb biriyani,nethili fry & crab curry. The biriyani rice is not cooked properly and the crab was frozen it’s not freshly cooked and taste less…nethili fish is good. I ordered three four Times, but this time I’m not satisfied👎

Came here with the family for dinner on a weekday. Parking was fine with ample space on main road or on side street. Food was very good; we got a variety of dishes incl Chicken 65 for starters, curries (chicken/lamb/crab) with parata, noodles and dosa for the kids. All were very wholesome and tasty. Curries were made traditionally, not holding back on flavours/spice! Stand out highlights were the Crab curry and service from the waitresses. Hats off to the chef for the magic in the kitchen!

I dine in Ceylon Street with my family a couple of times. Food quality, presentation and taste always at best. Service is very quick

AVOID. Worst experience of my life. Don't even bother booking these people for weddings/events. Impossible to get into contact once they have your money. I had booked them for my wedding, but had to cancel a month before the wedding due to unforeseen family situation. They had agreed they'll take 30% and return the rest. Not heard anything and impossible to contact Velan and Sekar (the owners) for the past 9months.

Special unique dishes are Milk Appam and Jafna mutton curry.

Great place with great food… had an amazing breakfast buffet unlimited with tea or coffee at just 7.99… Taste is just awesome what cheery on top is the service… sanitha was very good at her work… she was very attentive and doing a great job…. I been to Saravana bhawan always but now this is the only place where i will found myself when m hungry

I had ordered over the phone, they said come in 30min,but I went after 45mins food wasn't ready about 3-4 staff checking the food containers 3-4 time. If you reopen those aluminium containers you cannot seal again.And also jaffna mutton curry very bad(cheap curry meat). On collection cash payment only 10% discount, how sad is that?.

I recently had the pleasure of trying the mixed fried rice and mango juice and it was absolutely brilliant. The dish was a perfect blend of flavors, and the service was outstanding. Highly recommend for a delightful culinary experience!

Service was efficient, quick. Food was good too. It was bit cold inside, weird asian music on tv was killing the vibe, some neutral music would have been nice. The washroom had a very weird smell, couldn’t ignore that 🫢

Best South Indian restaurant in Ilford in fact in whole east London.

Ordered through deliveroo.. food was taste but for over £70 portion sizes were the worst I've ever had. For example the fall was only half the tray. Will not use again

Ordered chicjen 65 by uber and got 6 tiny pieces of chicken for 8.99 pounds. When I called the restaurent, they inform that, its the quantity set by management. So I went to the restaurent and gave them back the item for free so that they can have it for future reference to make fool of other costomers.

I'm currently half way through eating the crab curry. This place is so so good. A massive portion of delightful food. Highly recommended

If I could give them 0 I would. The owner is a scammer. We ordered food for an 80th birthday and the food came late and half the ordered items were missing. Absolutely shocking service without any apology or remorse. Every attempt to get a refund has been ignored.

Authentic halal Srilankan food. Service was good and waiters were polite. Food was delicious and freshly prepared on order. Prices are decent and portions are big. Ambiance could be improved a bit. Would definitely go back again.

Food was terrible, not authentic Sri Lankan food. The pol sambol had no onions, no lime, no salt. The mutton Kothu was sweet and the pieces of roti were too big. The curries were sweet- the kerala fish curry was not spicy or flavoursome, the fish tasted old. Devilled foods tasted like sweet chilli. The food is not the same, management has definitely changed and they said it was exactly the same. The aubergine moju was a curry despite it saying moju and ‘pickle’ on the menu. Definitely not authentic Sri Lankan food - they did not even know some authentic Sri Lankan ingredients like Maldive fish. Took ages for the drinks to arrive. Manager did not seem bothered by the comments, they did reduce the bill by 10% but the service and food was terrible on the whole.

The service was so bad. We had to cancel a few items as they were delayed. Chicken cheese kottu did not have cheese in it.

went there yesterday for fathers days and my husband saw it is we drove past and it looked nice. However, did not get much of an atmospher as we were in the second area which is where the take out food is picked up. that’s not their fault as they were busy. we ordered our food and drinks. drink came out for 2 of the family members and i did not recieve mine at all and had to tell 2 staff and i eventually got my drink. the starters were ok and the my dosa turned up then 15-20 mins later my husbands food arrived and my daughters biryani hadn’t arrived at all which i told 2 people nicely and they kept going off and no food would arrive. by this point me and my hubby and finished our food and my daughters still had not arrived. so i got up to wash my hands and tell the lady serving us not to bring the biryani to the table and to pack it away for me. they also kept bringing out food that was not ours. finically the girl comes to tha table with the food on a plate when i specifically told them not to. so she then went to pack it up and bring me the bill. to find that the food i had not ordered was added to my bill . so she then went back to take that off and bring me a revised bill which i hesitantly paid for and made sure i did not pay any service charge or tip which i always do. if there is one thing that i can’t stand is paying for food that i have not enjoyed. i know that people are busy but even the table next to us had appam which was raw inside and had not been cooked properly. we had to ask for tissues one table was given tap water and we were not offered that. will not be going to this restaurant again.

The service was really bad, food arrived late , should gave walked out. Did not bother to give plates or cutlery, has to ask each time. The egg appam batter was completely raw .

It’s not the same anymore, my last two experiences have been terrible. For some reason they think it’s ok to fill your food with oil, it was never like this before but it is now please see the images attached. But enough is enough I will not been eat at this restaurant ever again. My advice to you is the same. They trying to kill us

We had dinner with several items and loved the chili paneer and chicken 65. The fried rice and chicken nizami kebab were average to be honest. The sitting arrangement is nothing fancy but decent enough for a family dine out.
