Huge pub, eatery ideally situated at the far end of Paddington basin. It's got lots of space inside and out, can be popular, at peak times. Good drinks selection, clean and inviting environment. Friendly bar staff. Nice place.

An industrial sports bar on the canal. It's a great space, and good location. We went on a Tuesday night in March - we nearly didn't get a table, so do reserve. The beer is primarily those sour microbrew IPAs - if you want ale, this is my not fit you. The food was ok, although by the time we ordered just after 7, the waitress (who was lovely but obviously overwhelmed) had to ruefully tell us they'd run out of chips (but not mash) and chicken (unless it was in a pie). Alas. What we ordered was nice enough, mind. Just 🤷‍♀️

It's a nice place, something between a pub and a bar. The cocktails are decent, and the table set up good. It's a nice place to visit if you are in merchant square. I really like the outdoor tables when it's sunny! I haven't eaten there, but the food looks decent.

Nice place for a drink, the staff didn't seem that bothered that we were there even though we were the only of two tables, not overly friendly.

Our team recently enjoyed a fantastic Christmas dinner at Lock House, and we were all incredibly impressed. The food was absolutely exquisite, with each dish beautifully presented. The dessert presentation in particular was a true work of art! The service was equally exceptional. We want to give a special shout-out to Wilfred for his outstanding hospitality. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening. The combination of delicious food, impeccable service, and a festive atmosphere made it a truly memorable experience. We highly recommend Lock House for any special occasion.

Absolutamente terrible experiencia ordenamos un plato de compartir para comenzar nuestra red principal salir primero, cuando regresamos mientras esperamos los entrantes qel personal luego procedió a pedir a 2 miembros de mi grupo para la identificación que era extraño teniendo en cuenta que ya habían tomado una copa, Eventualmente, el plato de entrada viene y la red siguió al personal solo trató de servir la red original 45 minutos después de que fueron enviados de vuelta (desgracia absoluta) Luego enviaron mains frescos con una salsa verde en el filete que el personal no pudo decirme qué era (lo cual me pareció extraño) los primeros filetes que se sirvieron no tenían esta salsa verde, seguramente este no era el primer filete que vendían, no comían ninguno de los mains el entrante era bueno pero la noche se culminó cuando un miembro de mi grupo vio a un ratón corriendo por el lugar (tener evidencia en video) Absolutamente terrible experiencia, pagamos la cuenta ya que somos personas respetuosas, pero la comida fue una desgracia. La foto está en el escalón inferior, tengo un video de ratones corriendo por ahí.

I booked our team Christmas party in the mezzanine area. It was beautifully decorated with Christmas lights and crackers on the tables and with Christmas music playing. Everything had been set up for us on arrival. The staff looked after us very well (thanks to Donovan) and the food was delicious, especially the vegan sausage rolls (with mushroom), chicken sliders and very crispy deep fried fish. I would definitely recommend and book again.

Me and my work colleagues came for a christmas dinner and it was one of the best i’ve ever had it’s such a lovely pub i don’t know anyone who doesn’t have a good time here i also want to mention Donovan who was super helpful and made sure we had everything he also makes very good cocktails the other staff are also so polite and helpful.

Blimey, where do I start? To be fair, the staff were very nice but the food, not so much. Oxcheek starter consisted of a deep-fried ball of mash potato, stained with oxcheek on a bed (and I do not exagerate) of tomato ketchup. All the groups crumble desserts were sent out burnt to the point of being acrid and the cheese board was hilarious. Crumbled specs of cheese hidden under broken wafer residue, disguised by lumps of quince jelly. Not one to return to.

We had the place booked for a friends Christmas do for 2 months in advance and the only thing that we enjoyed was the company. We paid for a private room but were just sat at the back of the restaurant. We had to send food back because it was uncooked, had to bargain with the staff to stay open beyond 9:30pm (even though they say they close at 11), and most of the bar staff treated us like we were a hassle. If you want to pop in for a quick bite to eat this place is probably alright but if you want to organise a big group meal then go somewhere else.

We booked the Lockhouse for a last minute Christmas group event for 50 plus people. I cannot say how wonderful the organisation was. From accommodating us at short notice when everywhere else was booked up in Paddington, to providing support with the pre orders and then amazing service on the day especially with multiple bookings on the same day. Onsite team - Jayne, Artharva and Donovan worked really hard to make this event special and did a fantastic job. Very quick service with the drinks and food, nice private area set up at the back with festive decorations and really helpful and friendly service dealing with lots of requests. This is the first time we have done a team Christmas get together and everyone really enjoyed themselves. Exceeded our expectations and wouldn't hesitate to use the Lockhouse again for group events. We stumbled upon this restaurant just before their kitchen was closing and they were so lovely and accommodating! We ate their hummus, fried chicken, and Camembert dishes and were very pleased with all three. A special thanks to the employees whose friendliness towards us and our dogs was so appreciated: Pranav, Atharva, and Adam.

We come as a group of friends most years and are ALWAYS made to feel most welcome and so we rebook! We stay all afternoon!! It is a brilliant venue by the canal.

I work nearby this bar and this is a regular spot for us. Tonight, a man came in who sat next to me and my table and attempted to steal one members bag including their work laptop. Unbeknownst to us, this person had taken someone who we were with bag. The members of the team apprehended the person at the door and brought him and the bag back to the table. Everyone here is so vigilant and we really can’t thank them enough! What an amazing team!

Came here with colleagues, food is average, place quite noisy cos a lot of people were there, had to talk louder than I normally would. I had the beef burger with fried egg, was alright, nothing particularly special but also nothing I didn’t like. The deep fried ice cream had a arancini shell and thicker than I expected, ice cream also already started melting inside.

La hamburguesa estaba genial, perfectamente cocinada y muy caliente, como a menudo en otros restaurantes no están calientes, simplemente están calientes. Recomendaré familia y amigos para preguntar por Samantha. Y también por la comida.

Finding a good pub in the Paddington area full of new apartmentbuildings and shiny offices proved to be a challenge. At one point we walked past Lockhouse and the atmosphere seemed pleasantly busy and we were welcomed friendly. You have to like industrial decor, but the chairs are comfortable. The menu is not too large and can be described as modern pub classics. The execution however is excellent; I choose the weekly changing pie of the week and it tuned out to be a steak pie. Well-filled with tasty beefstew and thin piecrust. With cabbage, a rich gravy and buttery mash. And a very tasty and light honeycomb icecream for dessert. Don't judge a book by its cover; Lockhouse looks like a minimalist place where office people go for a drink after work before going home, but we really had an excellent meal here for very reasonable prices; definitely recommended.

We booked a table for lunch, never having been before, and it well and truly lived up to our expectations. Great space, not too close to other tables, friendly staff, great food!! Had wine and a beer plus mains and desserts and it was just under £30 each.

Good was OK, nothing special. It was plentiful but maybe too much. Service was good. We went on a Saturday and it was dead so had about 3 staff waiting on us.

Lockhouse is one of the best pubs in Paddington. When I went it was full of people but I was able to be served really quickly twice. The staff were really nice to me, they were not satisfied with how they poured the Guinness so wanted to rectify their mistake which was nice. Lockhouse atmosphere is so much fun, I loved being there, it's a quirky place, it's almost like being in Camden or hackney Wick. If you're in the paddington area, you have to stop by and relax here 😊

Booked for a large group - they were proactive and easy to deal with and unlike some of the restaurants in the area didnt insist we had to order from a 3 course set menu. Staff were friendly and attentive and we enjoyed the food.
