Lock Keepers Rest in Lancaster

Enjoy our motor bike trips here. Enjoyed coffee and tasty burgers. Good service and reasonably priced. Plenty of seating and public loos across the road.

We always have to get the chips from here, they are so good! Everything we have had from here has been nice. My partner had the full breakfast, and chips (because I didn’t want to share any of mine) :-D and I tried the fish and chips. Friendly staff. Lovely place to sit when the weather is nice. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back.

Been here many times when visiting Glasson Dock. Always a nice treat to look forward to at the end of a walk. Plenty of space to sit at the tables. Chips are the best! Just feel the prices are a bit high for a burger van.

A great food van with lots of outside seating areas at Glasson Dock. Perfect place for a brew and a bacon butty. Had a nice chat with the owner who was really friendly, as were many of the customers. Looking forward to our next visit.

New owners. Very different attitude. It used to be a great place to drop in for a snack and coffee at reasonable prices. Now its expensive without the merit of good service. The item I chose was on the menu at £2:50 but I was charged £3:50. When I pointed this out it elicited a shrug. "Its £3:50".

Regular meeting point for me with The rest of the motorcycle community. Have to say food and hot drinks are always spot on . The staff are fantastic very friendly you can’t go wrong . Top place !!!!

After a windswept walk on the marsh we stopped at the lock keepers rest for chips. They were freshly cooked but still ready in good time, cripsy and fluffy, and deliciously hot. Just what we needed! Staff were friendly even though it was cold.

The fish was lovely, nicest fish i have had in a long time. Chips were nice, fluffy inside. My husband had bacon & sausage barm. He tried some of my fish, said he would have fish & chips if we go again. Friendly staff.

situated on the large Glasson Dock car park. plenty of outside seating. probs took approx 5-10 mins to receive order of sausage bap, so must be fresh cooked to order which is nice. Bit sorry to see use of single use polystyrene cups for hot drinks in this day and age. Those who had more than just a roll bap, were served breakfast in polystyrene containers. coffee was ok and my sausage baps were nice (2 sausage in bap). Nice enough place for a quick hot drink or a snack.

I bought a bacon and egg bun for my husband to cheer him up whilst he was recovering from a foot operation. I was served by the owner who was so friendly and very kind . The bacon bun was “the best ever” according to my husband and it was so delicious that “it didn’t touch the sides” Thank you so much ! You made our day ! I was happy that I had bought a good bacon bun that had worked to cheer him up too !

Visited Glasson dock on a Friday lunch time . This is a great spot for an outside quick and easy snack with a great view. We had steak Canadian with onions - very tasty . Toasted bap with beans and mushrooms ( no toast left but no problem to us) good portion size and hot . It’s super cheap - what’s not to love .

Great friendly staff. Piping hot food had scampi/chips and a breakfast barm. Lovely sitting in the sun watching the world go by. Value for money .

When it changed hands it was fabulous, but like most, she’s got cocky, hacked up the prices to an irrational level and the quality is less than bad. SHOCKING!!!! Get a grip love, it’s not that hard!!!

I must say that the Lock Keepers Rest is a very fun atmospheric cafe I throughly enjoyed my time there and will be happily returning! I was well taken care of by a lovely girl going by the name of Gina and by the rest of the team! In addition my chicken burger was very filling after my long walk round the beautiful water based village (Glasson Dock). Thank you very much for my joyful experience see you all soon

Great place to meet up with fellow motorcyclists a d chat (social distancing of course) nice food friendly staff I’m here a few times a week if it’s dry weather

Excellent takeaway in a beautiful spot by the marina. Great friendly service. Wonderful refurbishment recently which enhances the view!

We came here last week and had the breakfast box. It was lovely. Well cooked, hot and tasty. Excellent value. Will certainly be having this again. Highly recommend you give it a try. Staff pleasant and friendly as always.

Have been several times and it has never let us down great food great prices and friendly service. Proper chips not wafer thin fries .

Came here Bank Holiday and again yesterday. Always come here when visiting Glasson Dock. Food and drinks are excellent, staff friendly, good service, great atmosphere and lovely surroundings. Highly recommend a visit.

Been going to glasson dock for years and using the lock keepers rest, I've seen a few changes over the years but it's been took over by new people so your always a bit wary of what's it like I needn't have worried the owners...

I was welcomed with a smile from the young lad at the counter and my order was taken my food was cooked and when it came it was hot and cooked just right it tasted great will definitely be recommending to my friends the owner...

We stopped by expecting the kiosk to be shut, but they were still happy to serve us past their advertised hours. They were helpful in getting us changes for the public convenience. Nice people.

Visited today and was served a really badly cooked portion of fish and chips, greasy and unappetising.

A frequent motorcycle stopping point for me in the summer. I can only really comment on the coffee (reasonably priced, no fuss) and location. Friendly service, seating, lovely location, motorcycle friendly. Happy days!

Had some food and drinks here on Bank Holiday Monday. We had to wait quite a while for our food which we did expect as it was so busy and food is freshly cooked. It was worth the wait. The cheeseburger and chips were lovely...
