Not the cheapest but definitely worth it for the lovely food. Nice range of bread, sandwiches and cakes available with a cute upstairs seating area.

What a shame , have been using this cafe for 6 months now , in the last few days I have purchased exactly the same order three times and have paid three different prices , when I queried it , the person serving me , not only chose to tell me I was wrong but should have known better customer service as she told me she was the sales manager! On a positive note the food is good ,but I would think twice about eating in ,and definitely check what you are being charged

The outside looks inviting and I love to see artisan bakeries having a go. Far better than a chain. I had a focaccia cheese and ham sandwich which they warmed for me to take away, and a Bath bun. Both delicious, but very expensive. Service was okay, not fantastic.

We popped into Loaf to get food for a picnic during lockdown. We were served with a smile by a friendly girl. The products were more more expensive than the chain bakeries but far better quality. We will certainly return next time we are in Farnham

Queuing out of the door (Ridgeway) most days but “we don’t take £50 notes” .......”it uses all our change for the day” !! You would have thought that ensuring you could trade was a basic commercial discipline for any business especially a low unit cost retail operation? Did I say low cost ....my mistake it’s very expensive and although products are generally good the value for money is poor. Worse perhaps is that they left a Saturday junior to deliver this message even though she referred to “someone in the back” - don’t you just love managers who cannot deliver (or defend) unpalatable messages The words inept, profiteering & complacency spring to mind 🤔

Bought a crusty cheese roll in Loaf (Shortheath, Farnham) and they charged me £3.90. Extortionate rip-off, clearly exploiting wealthy South Farnham residents. Really need to get real on their pricing, I for one will not be returning.....surely the most expensive bakery in the south-east 😩

I was looking for a morning coffee in Farnham (I prefer not to use the ubiquitous international chains). I saw the signboard and noticed that Loaf offered coffee. The downstairs section, which you see when looking in, is the bread and cake shop. The tabled area is not initially obvious (it is up a staircase) but I asked the helpful staff member. Once found, it was a small room but perfectly adequate. The coffee was excellent, as was the jam doughnut.

Happened to pop in here with my partner on Easter weekend. We are not from the area, I am based in Leicester whist my partner is Fleet. We were visiting for the day and happened to pop in for some bread. The shop has a lovely cosy feel to it, i love that everything in arms reach is covered with glass. A really good selection of breads and pastries, hot and cold food. We ended up getting some tea cakes, meringue and some cobs. What really made our day was the lady behind the counter, I hate myself for forgetting her name! So bubberly, chatty and professional! It was a super hot day as well so I felt for her!!! Everything was lovely tasted great an fresh! I would be here every day if I lived closer! Great job! A+++

Grabbed a couple of sandwiches for lunch, so many to choose from, all freshly prepared on site, amazingly tasty, loved my Caesar chicken the sauce was divine! OH had no complaints about the egg mayo. Considering the quality and freshness really good value for money, sadly they were too filling so no room for cake - a good reason to return next time we are in town.

Another over rated, poor quality Farnham cafe. Run by under paid staff, who have to fumble for reasons why it’s so stupidly rule driven. No dogs allowed, a 100% mark up on food for eating in; its tax and service charge apparently. No oven to warm anything up, all the pastries are yesterday’s stuff that didn’t sell and your expected not to notice. Why bother?

I used to work for Loaf about 3 years ago and usually when you work for a place you end up hating, but the opposite happened! I came to Farnham at the weekend and i had to visit. It still smells and looks wonderful and the bread and treats I got to take home where the same great quality and taste. I miss have Loaf on my doorstep 😭😍

Loaf is an excellent bakery with a wide range of breads as well as cakes. The only problem with Loaf in Downing Street, Farnham is the same staff serve cafe customers as well as people popping in for a loaf of bread. It takes them an awful long time to produce a coffee (probably a good thing?) but it is extremely frustrating when there is a massive queue for bakery. Surely you could allocate one staff member for the cafe and one for the shop?

Loaf provide a variety of bread. A bit pricier than the supermarkets but well worth the extra cost. It's always fresh and tastes lovely. They provide a variety of cakes and snacks and they are all good quality and wholesome although some of the cakes can be a bit on the 'sweet side'. The staff are always friendly and helpful

Have eaten here a couple of times and it's tiny but has bags of character. Cakes, food and coffees are all good quality and if you are eating in you have the chance to take them to the upstairs room which is wonky and small but very appealing. A nice change from the more familiar franchises.

The seating area is very small but well decorated. There seemed to be lots of coffee shops to choose from in Farnham but we're pleased we chose Loaf.

My husband and I were staying in a lodge locally and popped into Farnhamon the 7th Feb for an afternoon tea. We avoided the local coffee shop chains as I always prefer to support local business. We found the loaf and decided to go in...it was 3.15. I walked up to the counter to be greater by a young girl who would clearly have rather been anywhere else. She immediately looked at her watch when I asked if we could go through to the seating area. Seeing her reaction to our request I asked if they were about to close......she replied yes we close at 4pm. It was 3.15pm. She then reluctantly conceded ( after looking at watch a few more times) that she would serve us however feeling very unwelcome I told her not to bother...didn't want to put her out! If you're the owner of this coffee shop I think sine training on customer service may be required for your staff. They are losing you money.

Visited here for the first time today.....the price list clearly shows small cappuccinos at £2.25 and large at £2.50.....,.I ordered 2 small only to be told there is only one size........I said that was fine but queried why two sizes are shown.......the sign has not been updated I was told.......ok......but then I was charged £2.60 per coffee! I queried that as well ....the sign has not been updated ........As well as being wrong I'm pretty sure it's not legal......

Having tried the Chicken Leek and Bacon pasties they are never far from my mind when out and about in Farnham. Just awesome. Have bought the specialist breads too from time to time which are full of flavour. Service is excellent too. Try to avoid the sweet counter to keep the triglyceride level down!
