This is our favourite place for coffee or lunch in Truro at present. Refurbished the building has had a few incarnations at the moment it has a wonderful vibe with great helpful and friendly staff. Food is simple but tasty with often a little twist that takes it away from the normal. Exotic teas and good coffee. Good value and well worth a visit.

Popped in out of the rain with our baby. Toastie and sandwich were great, really nice bread and quality ingredients and both came with a side salad and crisps so was a great lunch and a generous portion. Thanks for the muffins! Hidden gem.

Wow what an absolute gem! We originally wanted to go to Bread & Butter but they were fully booked… how fortunate for us because we then found this incredible place. Quirky decor inside. Friendly staff who greeted us with a smile and were happy to accommodate our needs (we have an 18 month and a Boston terrier). Very dog friendly, allowed dogs inside whereas the other place only allowed dogs in the outside bit so again lucky us. Extensive menu which will be suitable for all tastes. I had the biscoff and berries waffles which were DEVINE. My husband had the full English which he said was very tasty and very filling. There isn’t a kids breakfast menu but this didn’t bother us as our little one shared ours. They have baby changing facilities too which also has spare nappies available which is very thoughtful. Overall a fantastic little place which I’d wholly recommend if visiting Truro!!

We found this place by chance when looking for a non-chain place to have lunch. It's not easy to find, but do try because it's worth it. They could do with a bit more signage on the main thoroughfare to direct tourists there - I'd hope Truro residents would know about it and use it, but it seemed a bit quiet when we went in. We just had a sandwich each and a drink. The meal was lovely, just enough salad on the side (most places these days give you a forest of green stuff that you feel bad leaving, but didn't actually order) and they have a wide range of drinks with something for everyone. I really enjoyed our visit and would definitely head back there if we're in Truro again.

It's not very often you can describe a meal as perfect but here we are.. Everything is clearly sourced carefully with obvious passion poured into the menu, prep, cooking, service and ambience Between 3 of us we had a Loaded English, Cheese & Mushroom Toastie and the Avocado on toast with eggs and halloumi and it was all just perfect. The tea and coffees we ordered were, likewise, really well chosen and complimented the food er, perfectly. Nothing left to say really. We'll be coming back.

Dropped in for lunch on a Saturday, what a fantastic find!! Funky and quirky vegan cafe. Loved the layout and decor. Best chai latte ever. Absolutely gorgeous tofu tacos, and the squash salad was sooo tasty. It’s dog friendly too!! Young lady was on her own front of house, and the cafe was full, she was run off her feet, but she was brilliant - well done!! Now top of our list for lunching in Mousehole!

I have been here four times now, its become a thing whenever we come to Newquay, tattoo before I go home. The staff are incredibly friendly and always chatting away when you're there. They make you feel like part of the family. It's clean, tidy, always smells so good woth the cakes and coffee, I always feel like I'm home when I go in.

Very good B&B in a very central location. But it is very expensive so 'value for money' comes into question. Very good cooked breakfast served in the mornings but for the money it should provide freshly squeezed orange juice.

We found our way to Freathy Farmhouse Cafe by following a sign from Whitsand Bay. What a lovely find! Very rustic and charming cafe. We sat outside in the sun and enjoyed very generous sandwiches served with delicious salad. Some of us even managed cake! We will definitely return although I understand it is best to check opening times. Ps Loved the decor in the loo!
