Local run business. Well established in the town and very popular with a more mature clientele. Everything cooked from fresh by the owner and her friendly team. Very popular on Sunday for their roast lunches. Good portion sizes. Highly recommended.

Called in her by chance as we were waiting to meet my son. Three of us had a lovely inexpensive breakfast. It was served quickly and very good quality. We will call in again when we are in the area. Very clean throughout including the toilets.

Great atmosphere, great prices. We came on Sunday and had the choice of a carvery with plenty of vegetarian options, or the normal weekday menu. I had a veggie sausage sandwich and it came with an enormous salad and tortilla chips. The coffee is fresh brewed and soya milk is also available.

After much walking past, the other half and I decided one morning to try out LJs Cafe. Turns out we made a rather good decision on a chilly January morning. On entering we were immediately offered a tea or coffee - whilst it's probably a small insignificant question I thought it was a real nice touch. The service was quick and the waitress very friendly. The food was freshly cooked and arrived really promptly. And it was really really good food (and a decent amount of it too!) For those wanting more than a breakfast, we did eye up the menu and saw there was a range of foods available throughout the day to suit many tastes. There is also a carvery available on Sunday Lunchtimes, although I cannot comment on the quality of this. However, if it is anything like the breakfast then I imagine it would be proper lush! Overall, really friendly quick service, really decent food and really reasonably priced for what you get. We will certainly be going back and I would highly recommend to anybody!

Excellent food and wine, and friendly professional service. Also good knowledge of gluten free requirements and a nice choice on the menu. We were off to a concert at Adastra Hall so no time for dessert but we will be back! Certainly highly recommended..

Lovely place to eat and plenty of views and if you are lucky enough you may see the local fox that comes to visit from time to time.

As I vegan, I never expect to be able to eat anything special when I’m not in my home town of go to comforts.. but I was so blown away by their vegan rainbow sandwich! (Can’t remember it official name!) It was so beautifully presented and in abundance, it was such a treat! One of the best bites I’ve had in ages. Thank you! Left so happy !

Such a joy to find this little place. The food has that home-made nourishing feeling to it – really tasty and satisfying. The location, right by Devil's Dyke, is idyllic. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Lovely to sit outside and soak up the sun in its laid-back atmosphere.

I left my review as a private note through OpenTable but unfortunately have not heard anything from Safari Pizza about my experience. I don’t want the waitress to get into any trouble but my experience has made me not want to return. I asked for a burrata bomb pizza without the cherry tomatoes. The waitress seemed to feel this was wrong even though I know my own tastes. I have tried cherry tomatoes before and do not like them. The waitress decided I should have one cherry tomato and I didn’t feel I was able to say no. The waitress then came to the table later to check if I had tried the cherry tomato and when I said I still didn’t like them, she again didn’t seem happy with this. I said I found it tart but the waitress tried to correct me and told me I would have found it sweet. I am autistic and have struggled with food textures (and being teased as a child for some of my preferences) so this made me feel uncomfortable to the point I would not wish to return to Safari Pizza unfortunately.
