Superb oriental food. Love this place.

Price advertising said £6.49 Price was £7.99 Usually given the option of rice or noodles at no extra price, then informed noodles were 50p extra, these price increases are not advertised on the menu on the window.

The BEST place for lunch in Halifax !! I absolutely adore this place everything from the ramen to the hot chicken dishes (especially the teriyaki chicken) is perfection! The staff are lovely, quick service and spot on food everytime. Anytime anyone asks for food recommendations I always suggest here! Thank you for being my number 1 little lotus <3

I did order before the store had opened. They gave me an initial delivery time of 11am but came at 11.30. Food was hot and delicious though and delivery driver very nice

I'm waiting on an order that is so far an hour late and still hasn't left the shop. I've rang 3 times and apparently it's been ready over an hour so I assume cold now. blaming it on delivery drivers?? I can't cancel my prder and get a refund, I don't want the order now. can someone get in touch!!

delicious food, friendly staff, fair price

Standard of food was not up to usual standard. One dish was tasteless and one overly salty. Quality of chicken was not very good in one dish. Sushi was lovely.

I used to the Japanese chicken curry. I stopped going when they changed the chicken a few years back as It’s definitely cheaper cuts of chicken with gristle and hard bits. Tried it again last week and was very disappointed. No carrot or potato in the curry anymore. Rice, chicken added and the sauce on top. Again the chicken tasted cheap, I had a lot of gristle and cartilage. Spent £7.99 and ended up binning the majority of it. Shame as it use to be very nice.

my order was wrong (got 2 Japanese Curries and not 1 Japanese Curry and 1 Red curry), and the curry was more of a goo then how it should normally be.

Food not the same as it used to be - first the garnishes went, now there’s only sesame seeds and soy and chilli sauce to put on top. The chicken Katsu used to come with Japanese curry sauce, which had vegetables in it, but now it’s just that plain generic sludge like chip shop curry sauce. The sushi is still nice and there’s a good range of boba teas.

This was our last ever order. More than once we received sushi that smelled and was not fresh. Had to be thrown away again.

Third order where we had to throw the sushi rolls away as they were not fresh and had a funny taste. Used to be amazing but standards have definitely dropped. Will no longer order from here again.

Great food and fast service. The place had its windows broken by a drunk falling through them so the place was a bit lacking in atmosphere. All in all great.

Always had lovely food from here but just received two chicken dishes that were stale and chewy. The katsu chicken also looked pink inside. I contacted the restaurant but had no response, hence the review.

Lovely bento and sushi shop in Halifax town center. Food is lush and reasonably priced. I’m vegetarian and they had some nice options for myself. Would recommend the pumpkin red curry and edamame as this was a great combination. Staff were wonderful!

Order weekly, always so no tofu as my partner is allergic. Was given half size dishes than normal for some reason with huge piece of tofu in. Disgusting. The lack of care is amazing I don't know how clear you could make it other than capitol letters in the order notes. Drinks placed in same bag so all food freezing cold when arrived. Again, just shows they don't care,

I used to love the Chicken Katsu from little lotus. It is still ok for a fast lunch, but the quality has dropped. They used to put carrots and potatoes into the curry which made it really nice and filling. They also used to have an array of toppings, like crispy onions and coriander which really made the dishes. I’m not sure what has happened. But I have noticed the quality drop and the price increase.

This place used to do the nicest Katsu curry but it’s definitely changed. I don’t know if it’s changed ownership or just recipes but it’s nowhere near as nice as it used to be. Got a takeout pumpkin Katsu today and when I got home I realised there was barely any sauce in it and the carrots were hard. The carrots and potatoes in the old recipe used to melt in your mouth.

After a couple of failed attempts here, and so many elsewhere, I can say this was the sweetest, most nicely made sushi I’ve had in ages. Whatever you’re doing, please keep doing it! And the miso soup healed my soul. Thank you.

Very expensive for what you get. 4 pieces of tofu in bland salty hard noodles. They give you a small boba when you order a large. Wouldn't really recommend. Nice enough staff tho.

My friend Mahirah recently visited Little Lotus, a place known for its Japanese delicacies. While she found the ambiance delightful and the staff polite, she was quite disappointed with the pricing. Mahirah ordered a sushi box, which cost five pounds. She felt this was far too expensive. Although the quality of the sushi was decent, it did not justify such a high price. The portions, although nicely presented, were quite small, leaving much to be desired in terms of both quantity and value. Mahirah expected a more reasonable balance between cost and quality from a place specializing in Japanese cuisine. In conclusion, despite some positive aspects, Mahirah is unlikely to return to Little Lotus unless their pricing becomes more reasonable.

I used to really love this place with my go-to being the Spicy Chicken Ramen. I now wouldn't wish this place on my worst enemy. Constant recipe changes, and for the worst. The cheapest of ingredients used, and what makes you think using spicy mayo on the spicy chicken ramen was a good idea???? Do not recommend in the modern day.

don’t order from little lotus sushi it’s just come to my door disgusting bare in mind i always have sushi and that must have been sitting all day for days in back of the kitchen because why was it all mushy and warm chicken wasn’t even tasty in it fumin was exited for it

just ordered beef teryaki safe to say I couldn't eat it all the meat was just stuck together in a big mass looked disgusting won't order again, very disappointed

Usually have a nice experience but.... took a relative who is COELIAC (allergic to gluten, wheat and barley) and was repeatedly asked by the staff if it was just a preference and was he really allergic to it. Beyond angry, we only went there as sushi is usually a safe bet for coeliac but so shocked by todays service I won't be going ever again.

Hit and miss, I used to proper love this place but now sometimes it's really nice and fresh and loaded with veg and nice pieces of meat and fresh rice, other times it's comes and theirs no veg, hard, chewy, inedible pieces of meat with like weird texture to the rice as if it's like a day or so old rice. When you spend nearly £15 on one mixed bento and order here all the time, in person, at home, at work, I'd of thought you would care about your customers because you clearly didn't read my notes

idk what happened too this place, just last summer (summer 2023) this place was making the best food in halifax. The Tofu Curry used to be my go too option, was one of the few good vegan options in halifax; it used too come with freshly roasted vegtables and the tofu peices used too be pre marinated in the sauce. Now the tofu curry (and i assume other curry's) come with just Frozen bagged vegtables and the tofu is just trown in the sauce right before serving. of course anyone who knows anything about tofu knows how flavorless and tough the tofu will be from this method. I spoke with managers over the phone about this and was told its all for the purpose of cutting costs. and based on the quality of the sushi i purchased recently the cost cutting here is rampant. Furthermore i also orderd over uber eats recently and a third of my order was missing. The downfall of this place has been such a terrible sad dissapointment.

Yesterday, a friend recommended this sushi restaurant. On a whim today, after my daughter finished school, I really wanted to drive from Manchester to buy sushi here. It’s also a chance for the kids to have a weekend trip to another town to relax. My son had to buy a box of sushi, and then we ordered three more take-out boxes. Honestly, the price is very reasonable, and it’s delicious with great value for money. While waiting for our order, we enjoyed shopping with the kids until dusk, and then drove back to Manchester to visit my daughter’s favorite Bubble tea shop. They have a new drink for the New Year, along with cute red pocket as gifts.

I usually come here for my lunch every now and then but recently staff have been less than nice and rude. Today the staff behind the til had a horrific attitude when she started giving the wrong order. I asked for katsu chicken curry muttered something very unclear back and started to give Japanese curry I corrected this and she argued and insinuated it was my fault. I don't think I'll be coming back as this was the final strae and the prices are getting to expensive for the amount of food you get. She also definitely did not give enough in my large portion as I only got 3 but if chicken and you usually give 5-6

I had a wonderful experience at Little Lotus in Halifax today, I ordered a japanese Chicken curry by accident but reallized later that this was not the dish my wife asked for so I told a member of staff and they were happy to swap this dish for me free of charge.

The staff were friendly and helpful cause I ordered wrong but they still made another one for me even though its my fault

The seafood is very fresh and amazing. I specially like the salmon, it feels like it melts in your mouth. Really good. Staff very attentive and helpful. I particularly remember one, maybe Anh idk. She was very nice and calmly explained everything to me. Nice experience

When it opened the food was far better looking and had the garnishes you'd expect. Over the last year or so the food you get looks nothing like the menu. No garnishes, today I got the sweet chilli chicken and it was literally 5 pieces of crispy chicken on dry rice, no vegetables, no spring onion, nothing. Very plain,very dry. Seems the care and excitement has worn out.

Got the large pumpkin katsu curry because I thought only the two slices pf pumpkin on the website picture was a 'touch meagre'. It came with one slice of pumpkin...its the 28th of October...nearly Halloween!...there's plenty of pumpkin about!!
