Great place for a celebration or just a great meal with friends and family. Went here once again and was not disappointed. Food and service was first class and great value money.

Went here last year and reviewed on TA so I thought I would give it another go. Handy location near the rail station, nice interior and decent toilets. No alcohol license so get your drink at the Express shop up the road. Prices initially not clear. Turns out the prices are for take away as shown on the leaflet in the box outside the premises. Guy next to me on another table was querying this but having been before I was wise to this one ! So the menu prices are higher. No mention in the menu of a service charge. I ordered chicken shaslik masala which came on a hot sizzler. Very good and plenty of it. I also had a sag paneer as a side dish and again very good. If my portion sizes are anything to go by I suggest you skip the starters ! So a good meal. The bill comes and at the bottom it says " Discretionary Gratuity 10% ". I suppose most people are too embarased to query why this has slipped in when not mentioned at the initial ordering stage so they just pay it. On the other hand you dont pay fancy prices for their alcohol and there is no corkage charge for bringing in your own bottle. So I recommend this place. Just make sure you understand the prices you are paying.

Visited during our holiday after hearing good things and we were not disappointed! The food was absolutely beautiful and so delicious. Good portion sizes for each dish. Will definitely come again when in Penzance. Definitely recommend the Chicken Shashlik Masala

We ordered 2 chicken tikka masala’s and we didn’t get them, they claimed we didn’t order them.

Delivery to home ordered conveniently online-All lovely 😊 apart from the lime pickle was hotter than usual for me 😆 so I’ll have to get an extra mint sauce next time 😉 good 👍 size of portions! Thank you ☺️

Arrived too late from Scillonian ferry for supper at the Longboat so went next door to Little India. Smart decor, friendly service, very good food at reasonable prices, not licensed but available from the Longboat. If you like Indian-thorougly recommended.

Highly recommended. We’re regular holiday visitors to PZ and noticed the Little India had recently opened. We called in and ordered a takeaway. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the restaurant looked clean and modern. Lovely fresh cooked food and great service, it was so good we will be definitely back for more. No alcohol license if you’re dining in, but you are free to bring your own with no charges.

This is my favourite restaurant in Penzance! My Lamb Shaslick Masala arrived sizzling to the table. It was just so delicious. The restaurant is beautiful. All the staff are very friendly and helpful offering great service with a smile!

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL Food. Came here for the first time for my Fiance’s birthday. It was the nicest Indian we have ever ever tasted. So good we came back 2 days later and it was even better! The service is amazing. All the staff are so friendly and lovely, the restaurant is very clean and tidy. Highly recommend the Naga Lamb Tikka Masala. Simply STUNNING! Cant wait to go back.

We are quite regular customers and I can say that every visit is outstanding! From the hospitable staff to the authentic and absolutely delicious currys on offer. We are never disappointed, and the food is excellent I can't fault it. Love the new plates they complement the food wonderfully. We can't wait until our next visit we'll done to all your dedicated staff.

Modern & clean decor. Halal & alcohol free (byo). Excellent service & friendly. Lots of meat - not just onions/peppers like other Indians that use shoet cuts. Would recommend achari chicken & tandoori chicken with tandoor/garlic naans. If you like you're spice I'd recommend asking them to spice it up. Thank you :)

Well-cooked food but lacking in Indian style and spicing. Butter Chicken was chicken tikka in a strange sauce. Biryani was oily but with perfectly cooked meat. All dishes lacked flavour. No alcohol licence - BYO. No coffees. Welcome and comfort mediocre at best. Not cheap either.

What place! What people! Where do I start!? I was thinking of havin a quick kebab and hittin the motorway but when I saw this place across the Road…🤩 I came in yesterday the Boss bhaisab was amazing he went from opening the door for US to serving us food HIMSELF and during all this we had an amazing chat filled with laughs stories and lots of love! The staff were very friendly and every time you needed something it was there before you could even ask! Stunning restaurant and the food was one of the best I've had. I loved the chicken tawa and my son even said mummy the food is yummy! He ate very well and my girls also were impressed. The staff were friendly and were kind to our children and gave them mint chocolates. The food was hot and spice level was bang on! We were very hungry after St Michael's Mount so we ate well :) I'd recommend this gem of a restaurant!

Although the food and service is always fantastic. The 10% that is added to your bill is not given to staff so please decline to pay this and give the 10% in cash which IS shared between the staff in tips. Still my favourite indian just deceitful ownership as this is not stated.

If you hungry stay hungry but dont come here. This is definately not Indian food. Eat chips and move ahead but do not stop here

We really enjoyed the food and highly recommend this restaurant. We had wonderful service from our waiter Adil who was knowledgeable about the menu and even checked in with us regarding his recommendations after the meal. A nice experience.

Lovely meal with quality breast of chicken which is unusual for an Indian most use thigh to enhance the flavour but the taste was great, slight compliant was the Patia sauce wasn't as thick as i am used to but that said 100% would recommend ,Just remember it is licenced to bring your own which is probably why it such good value

Believe the 3.9 star rating, against our better judgment we ordered a takeaway from here. The cuts of meat were poor and chewy. The tandoori chicken and lamb had no flavour as did the onion rice. The icing on the cake was hair in our mango chutney which made Me sick instantly. A waste of £40

Walked in late at night as we could smell the delicious food. They were closing down but still accommodated us and when I ran back to order something else they also included it. Super friendly guys and very nice interior. Food was delicious - best curry this side of England!

Must say been eating curry for 40 odd years all over uk. This was in the top. Great flavors. The vegetable curry with my birrianna tender lamb ( not tikka ) was the best I’ve had. Veg was proper fresh and not over cooked. Mrs said the same about her meal. Take ur own booze. Staff really nice. Keep it up.

ordered 8:02 online, called an hour in and got the class act “yeah out for delivery”, called another hour in to “oh we never received this order. the online system…” 0/10 - have ordered before and the food is decent but it always takes over an hour and that’s if you order over the phone

Went on a Friday night, so very busy. Service very slow. Took ages to even be shown to our (empty) table. Nearly an hour before food arrived. Standard Indian fare, suspiciously bright red sauces !!!! Tasted ok. Pleasant staff, when they appeared. Clean, but bland decor. Average experience.

Very nice and clean restaurant. Good location on the edge of town. Service was very good but one of the waiters needs to go to English classes as he struggled with the lingo. The food was very tasty and well presented, the only reason it is not a 5 star as it could have b n hotter. But overall I really enjoyed it and will be back on my next visit to Penzance.

How fortunate to discover that this fab Indian restaurant is our local eaterie to our new home in Penzance. Very welcoming and efficient staff. The food is beautifully cooked and presented. The peshwari naan was amazing. We couldn’t eat it all so our waiter offered to package it up to take home. We hadn’t realised that it was a Bring Your Own as they don’t serve alcohol but they suggested popping into the pub next door to bug a drink. It’s good to know that they don’t charge corkage. I’m not normally a big Indian food fan but I think I just might have discovered somewhere that has changed my mind!

Had a good meal here with friends, great onion bhaji's, and naan breads. My only comment was that the description on the menu of what we ordered did not seem representative of what turned up. It was all good and tasty, but we were both disappointed with a dish that said sizzling , but clearly was not.

Our order was placed over the phone and we ordered several different dishes to cater for five people. The order was correct in every respect and the food was delicious, there was not one complaint and a wonderful evening was had by all. Thank you, we have used you before and will certainly use you again.

My wife and I are very into good curries and have visited some of the top restaurants in the UK and this place topped the lot by a mile. The food was divine, the atmosphere perfect and the service was beyond description. They timed everything perfectly and even thought to offer an ice bucket for the wine. They aren't licenced but happily allow you to bring your own which saves a huge chunk on the bill.

Bustling atmosphere, A bit loud for me but understandable given the time of year. Extremely polite servers. Great food. Will definitely go again when It is quieter.

Initially, we chose a different restaurant in Penzance, based on the fact that they had more reviews than Little India. Well, what a mistake! We walked past, and the inside was completely different to what we had seen online, so we decided to give it a go. It had been refurbished and looked clean, modern and stylish. Service was attentive, welcoming, and friendly from the moment we walked through the door. They were quick, confident, and professional. Food was served quickly and was delicious. Decent selection to choose from. The ambience was lovely, with comfortable lighting and seating. Whilst the food was lovely, the service and staff were what really shone through. I would have expected more reviews considering it was so busy. If you are looking for an Indian restaurant, don't hesitate to visit Little India.

We stayed at Premier inn which is opposite Little India. We had dinner there one evening. Great food and service. Waiter was very friendly. Very clean. We love curry, and would highly recommend Little India Penzance. Will visit again next time we are down that way.

Oh my, what a lovely evening. Three generations (from 10 to 75) eating out for a big birthday and we were treated with some much care and attention. The food was delicious. The recommendations were spot on. Nothing was too much trouble and lots of smiles. Couldn't fault it. Thank you.

Yesterday I Came with my mum and my dad and there friends they said the curry’s is the best in the world. The staff are amazing and welcoming and friendly and very kind the Curry’s is really yummy and delicious curry’s are best the staff did us proud I really Recommend little Indian please go to little Indian restaurant they do best chicken korma in the world. from Victoria 🙂🙂🙂

Service was slow, even though restaurant was only half full, food was not good hardly restaurant standards

This was a really nice place to come and eat. The food was absolutely amazing and arrived quickly. The atmosphere is kinda strange, it's quite loud and echoey and could do with some sound proofing. It's a shame they can't serve alcohol but I understand you can bring your own. Be careful when you say yes to the poppadoms and dips to start with, they make it seem like they're complimentary- but you very much have to pay for them. Would come again.

My partner and I have both worked food service and I currently manage in customer service. We are very understanding and empathetic of these jobs but this was my worst experience in some time. Long wait for everything and the place wasn’t full and I saw no takeout orders leaving. We had butter chicken and garlic chili chicken, both favorites of ours. The chicken in both of our dishes was very, very dry and the sauce bland. The chili chicken had no discernible garlic and almost no chili, basically no spice. The rice was ok. One of the sides never even arrived. We had to ask why and they said the kitchen was backed up. Why did we have to ask? They should have volunteered this info when we ordered. I know they were having a bad night but they had so many employees walking or standing around, not even trying to inform tables of the situation. I saw several tables leave as a result. Close to the end of our meal an employee (not sure if they were a manger or not) came to our table and gave a half hearted apology. Very disappointing experience. Our server and host were very nice but lack of communication with you guests is just plain negligent. This place is clearly mismanaged or at least on that night. Will not be back or recommend to friends or family when visiting.

Unfortunately, there is nothing lower than 1 star for this horrible restaurant. The food that I ordered was disgusting! The chicken was almost invisible in the sauce made of 400g of tomato sauce drowned in 1 kg of white sugar. In this place, they don't know what an authentic "Indian" cousin is. They can only survive in Penzance because there is almost no competition and people have very limited options for eating out. The manager is arrogant and rude. When I told him that the food served in his restaurant was completely unhealthy and dangerous for certain categories of people with health issues he started to shout at me. Clearly, this was his tactic for defending himself for the scarce quality of the food served in this so-called "restaurant". Currently, this restaurant has a rating of 3.9 on Google (already very low) but in my view, it should have been even lower. The most horrible restaurant and food experience in all my life!!! I requested a refund for the horrible experience I had, the manager told me that the refund was processed on the same day but after almost 10 days no refund at all. I raised a dispute with my bank.

Unbelievable. Very quickly service,very friendly staff. They treat you like you are King. I never had such experience. Prices are very good. Definitely recommend.

This is an unlicensed restaurant (but you can bring your own alcohol in to drink). The main course was very generous and certainly sizzling when it arrived and I enjoyed the food. The service was also good too

We were a large group of walkers and the restaurant were extremely welcoming and really looked after us. We had a large variety of food, and every dish was absolutely delicious. The staff were so friendly, and if we needed extra rice it was brought quickly. We can’t recommend it enough, in our opinion it is the premier Indian restaurant in Penzance. Well done Little India!

A friendly pleasant and clean restaurant, and very very busy. So be sure to book if you need a table, they are quite often full. If you require a takeaway then walk ins are catered for. You can order on their website which is very easy and provides a collection time for you. You can park outside for short pickups or in the wharfeside car park just 100 yds away. The food is excellent, but not the cheapest. I thought the £1 charge per poppadom very small sauce pot was excessive. The yogurt mint was obviously from a much larger catering container and was not worth the £1 charge. The chopped spicy onion was a tiny pot and consisted of 99% onion and minimal other ingredients. Get your act together little India I am sure your chef could make these himself to a much higher quality and they are letting you down compared to your main meals. PS bring your own alcohol only soft drinks sold on site.

The service here was 10/10 ! All of our food came within 10min of ordering and was delicious! The staff were very friendly and attentive. Lovely atmosphere and great food !

Order takeaway, quick friendly service Unfortunately Chicken Dansak the overpowering flavour was garlic, but chicken was tender. Tikka Masala was very sweet. Rice, Naan bread and poppadoms were nice.

Wonderful restaurant with good quality tasty food and great hosts. Food was halal & spicy as well like we asked. Service was good too but as the staff were busy all the time, it was a little difficult to speak to someone initially. However, one of our hosts Milad really made us feel at home, catering to a few requests of ours such as ensuring the dishes were "desi-level" spicy and also conversing with us and making us feel very welcome. Overall the restaurant has tasty food at a reasonable price and the staff are excellent. Would definitely recommend. 😊

We went for a birthday dinner and turned out to be a wrong decision. We ordered chicken Biryani which was burnt and felt like eating crunchy rice. Chef didn’t know how to make raita either. Service wasn’t great either as they forgot to get the coke we ordered but didn’t forget to add to the bill and had to remind them to correct the bill. Very overpriced restaurant. Though at end we were offered to not bill the biryani and asked to choose anything on the house but we were fully disappointed to try anything else.

Applied 10% service charge without communicating beforehand. Food tasted bad, extremely oily. They served food with items that I was allergic to, even when I had informed of my allergies. Charged for complimentary papaddum and chutney as well, when we had confirmed whether it was complimentary or not. Worst experience.

- Very good Environment. - Food were good overall. - They were really helpful and informed that we left our phone near to the table. Improvement: - Raita is not like raita at all, it was not watery. - Service guys need to be prominent on the politenees on language (usually forget to add 'please' in the sentence). - Add everything into one menu - Mostly people come in budget constraint, please help them to know what would be the best for new comers. This will improve a lot in reviewing the restaurant.
