Just visited the restaurant and explained that I could not eat dairy. The management (apparently new) went out of their way to accommodate me. The food was delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Jesus look at the state of this place. Reopening soon as Henfield Tandoori! Absolute dive at the rear. Poorly repaired front door. I can't see it lasting long. All the hiding the signage for the grand opening. It looks an utter mess.

We have had 3 takeaways here in the last 2 months and I can honestly say it’s one of the best curries we have ever had. I think things must have changed here recently as I have nothing bad to say about the food at all. Highly recommended the specials. Really happy we finally have a good local curry house that we don’t have to have an hour round trip to pick one up!

Worst Indian meal I have ever had, both eating in at the very tired, drab and very cold restaurant and then as a take away. I suggest you look outside Henfield for your Indian fix. Very dissapointing indeed.

Last night we had a really good takeaway meal from Little India Indian restaurant in Henfield. I'm a vegetarian and all the dishes were soooo tasty. cant praise them enough!

Very quick. Only 40 minutes from order on a busy Saturday night. Portions sizes were great. Good set up for covid restrictions. Pick up is downstairs so no need to go into the restaurant. Only the 2nd time we've ordered from here and would definitely go back. Make sure you order at home or else you've got a cold wait outside!

I've been here a few times and their lamb is delicious, vegetable sides very nice and papadulams (spelling?) good. I usually find the latter a good indicator of the quality of an Indian restaurant. Food on the spicy side so bear in mind. Good range of dishes. Not tested their chicken which one reviewer disliked but will on a future visit. In reality between 4 and 5 stars but the only Indian for 6 miles so benefit of the doubt and rounding up.

We have just moved to henfield and after grappling with boxes needed a meal out. Have been twice and it is very pleasant with excellent service and tasty food with separate ingredients, not a hot mash. Also crunchy veg. and fresh coriander. The restaurant is quite small but very adequate and upstairs with fresh air through open windows. The cobra beer is excellent and also white wine. They also do takeaway.

We moved from Hayward’s Heath to Partridge Green about 7 years ago having become accustomed to a brilliant little curry takeaway house in Hayward’s Heath, called Ganges. It is now closed I believe. We love our Indian / Pakistan food and decided to give Little Ganges a try. Yes it’s a little small and quirky upstairs, which made us question what we were letting ourselves in for. We needn’t have been concerned; the menu is extensive for such a small place and having eaten there quite regularly for 7 years now we have never had a bad meal. The lamb madras is tender with pretty much the right amount of heat for a madras; no fat or sinew just tender lamb. This is a real jewel in Henfield so if you are looking for a tasty curry give it a go.

My badders team and me wanted a late night curry after our match. The menu was different to regular curry places and my palak poneer chicken was delicious. The rest of the table had dansaks and were very happy. You could be put off by the outside but once you go upstairs you'll find it cosy and welcoming. We'll definitely go back ...

Been using this lovely little friendly Indian for several years and it always delivers. Orders are always cooked fresh to order or to taste. Recommend.

Popped in on the off chance after walking past this place for years. Really good. Reasonably priced and the dishes that we had were well put together. I had one of their hotter dishes and the heat was there but still with depth of flavour. The lamb was obviously slow cooked and really tender. If i didn't have somewhere else to be I would have eaten more. Will definitely head back.

It's a shame as this is the only Indian restaurant in Henfield but the food is bland and the chicken tastes like plastic. We won't return.

This was our first order with Little India. We had a Chicken Madras, Pilau Rice, Onion Bhajis, Garlic Nan and a Chicken Biriani. The ordering process was straightforward and only had to wait 30mins. Order was placed and returned early and food was ready. All of the food was piping hot fresh and delicious. The chicken was perfectly cooked and the curry temperature was spot on. Very tasty dishes, good portion sizes. Prices were fine. Will definitely be returning. The menu text size was a bit small, so would recommend making it easier to read. Overall excellent, thank you.

I’ve only just moved in and have been trying out new takeaway places, the chicken was like jelly, the nann bread cremated and completely tasteless. When I complained he laughed at me and told me i have no idea what I’m talking about. Would not recommend! What a waste of £25 !!! Wouldn’t feed it too my dog !

Gutted this is the only indian takeaway in henfield, food was bland and very powdery, prawns still had their shells on and portions were small. We ate the food purely because we paid for it. In a nut shell, i wish i had more hands...so i could give this place four thumbs down.

We regularly use this establishment when we want food from the Indian Continent. We rarely eat in house because the place lacks atmosphere and charm. However, the food, cooked on the premises by the wife of the proprietor is excellent, and the service - provided by the proprietors children is attentive and courteous. We almost always use it for takeaways and it has never let us down for quality. We will continue to use it

Don’t trouble to go here unless you enjoy curried dog food. Utter crap, I’ve eaten better dirt . Seriously I am shocked how bad curry has become! The kebab looked like two poo’s in salad . Avoid avoid !!!!!

Have visited this restaurant many times when visiting friends in Henfield and have never been disappointed. None of us can work out why there are never more than two tables occupied. However there does seem to be fair takeaway demand. Will definitely return.

Very small place but has a very good takeaway service. I didn't eat Indian food until I went there, I explained I didn't like "hot" food, they advised me as to what I could eat and I've never looked back. It could do with some curtains/blinds at the windows, otherwise all okay inside. Chairs are comfortable.

Discovered this hidden gem by accident. It's located just around the corner from the main high street. Seating is upstairs and only has half a dozen tables or so but the food was delicious, served promptly and the service was friendly and welcoming. My wife and I were just passing through the town on business but would definitely eat there again.

Visited Henfield several times over the past 6 years but took little notice of this little family run curry house situated just off the main road. There is another curry house on the main road which is ok but Little India has become a firm favourite of ours. A comprehensive menu, tender lamb and well balanced spices. Highly recommended and it takes a lot to please us - give it a try you won't be disappointed.

Tucked away just off the high street this is a little Gem. Service and selection of food is excellent. Small number of sit in tables so you may want to book in advance don't be fooled by the quirky interior. The family hospitality and quality of the food is spot on. Thanks for a lovely meal and friendly welcome.

Been here a couple of times since moving to the village 3 years ago. All ways has been very quiet so no need to book, even on a Friday night. Family business, son is the matrede and father is in kitchen. Would have scored 5 but our table, menu and cutlery could have done with a little clean. Maybe they didn't expect it to be busy. Best Indian in village and surrounding area. Will be back again.

My friends regularly pass the So India to and from visits to their holiday accommodation in Bridport. But they pass the door too early for the restaurant to be open or too late and it is closed. each time they vow to go in. A recent visit to Sussex allowed my wife and I to host an evening at the So India. My friend's had arrived a few minutes before us but the management had made them welcome and on our arrival we moved to our table. Even though this was a Friday Evening the restaurant was not totally rammed and its location means that the 'Friday Night OAF element' rarely find their was to the door. We chose a slightly cramped corner table but once we had settled the restricted space was not an issue. My friend was delighted to find an item on the menu that he had never seen in any other Indian Restaurant and he and his lady travel to and from London and acrosss europe regularly so it was a bit plus point to find something that is not provided elsewhere. So India has a comprehensive Menu which in reduced form is available as a take away either from the Restaurant direct or from the various carry-out curry houses on the Sussex coastal strip which are all part of the chain. I have eaten at this restaurant several times and found the meals to be wonderfully tasty and nourishing not just a hot spicey sauce with meat and rice which can be the case with many other restaurants. In conversation my friends and I agreed that the SoIndia is worthy of several other visits in future and my friend was also going to recommend it to his wider circle of friends and relatives. Service was attentive and friendly and helped make the evening a pleasure. We will be back again for another sampling of the menu.

Delivered on time and hot. Really good value. I ordered the Naga Bengal with lamb, which I'd never had before but will be again. The smell of spices hits you as soon as you open the lid, and it's hot without being overpowering. Plenty of meat, which was tender and cooked well, even though I prefer it cut into larger pieces. There are finely chopped onions, peppers, and thick cut garlic visible in the sauce. It all felt very fresh and was finished with a generous coriander garnish. The pillau rice was cooked perfectly and really fragrant. I also tied a bit of the tikka masala which was creamy and thick with a coconut flavour. Garlic naans were large, my only issue would be that that they were a little dry. I like naan bread thick and soft, but they tasted good and there was lots of sauce to mop up. Overall extremely impressed with the quality, price, and friendly speedy service.
