Stopped here for a morning snack and coffee. The staff are friendly and know what they have and what they are talking about in terms of what they have to offer. A relax friendly and warm atmosphere; stop, enjoy, relax and leave refreshed.

Had a gluten free bacon sandwich which was tasty but the bacon was salty. Coffee was good but service was slow. Small cafe but nice old building which makes the atmosphere pleasant.

My friend and I had a wonderful birthday celebration here. The afternoon tea was amazing. This was our second visit here but first time for afternoon tea and definitely didn’t disappoint. The food was delicious and was all ready as we had pre booked. They also had a great vegan option for my friend. The staff are so friendly and lovely! A big shout out to Jo who works there. She is a credit to the place, nothing is too much trouble and she is wonderful. We definitely will be back!

How all Tea Rooms should be! Beautiful coffee at correct temperature( hate going back and asking them to reheat). Superb toasties and Caesar Salad. Amazingly efficient and more importantly friendly and welcoming staff, and owner. My new go to place!

We were very keen to support our local Little Bean cafe when they launched their American themed evening, offering 'mini burgers and ribs platters'. The offer was accompanied by a photograph of a mixed platter of ribs and burgers, which unfortunately bore no resemblance to what was served. The platters weren't actually a combination of mini burgers and ribs as portrayed, although they were indeed 'mini'! The burger platter consisted of a lukewarm, toddler-sized burger in a cold bun, with some grated cheese on the side if required, while the ribs platter consisted of 4 tiny, lukewarm half ribs. Each dish was accompanied by some limp, undercooked fries and a tiny portion of salad. The pudding was tasty, but again the portions were miniscule - literally a mouthful each of cheesecake and brownie with a strawberry cut in half. Even taking into account the one free drink per person, £20 per head was overpriced for what was, in reality, a child's meal. Unfortunately we've decided not to support the future 'Asian fusion' evening as we'd planned.

My ice coffee was delicious, and the hot chocolate was tasty. Toastie was a huge portion, as was the smoked salmon sandwhich, crammed full of filling. Staff were friendly and smily, and delicious cakes also.

Last minute decision to eat here for lunch. Lovely food served quickly and with a smile. There was a good choice of healthy and filling food. Despite being on the main road it was not a noisy environment.

Delightful small coffee house experience with nice quality coffee and good cake (well more accurately tea cake which was large, very light and flavoursome). The service was ever so slightly chaotic but nothing serious and it added to the charm. Very nice time, good atmosphere, recommend and will return. Thank you!

We were lost in the village and stopped in this Cafe to ask for help. The staff went out of their way to help us. Their kindness was greatly appreciated. Although we just had tea and coffee the cozy surroundings were relaxing after a frustrating morning. I would love to return.

Wonderfully friendly little cafe. We've been there several times for breakfast a night whilst I enjoyed their full English my partner tried more imaginative, and equally tasty, dishes.

We chose this café as a convenient half way meet up for a family birthday breakfast and didn't have any expectations as hadn't read any reviews but what a find!! The restaurant itself had a very friendly and welcoming feel, the staff were amazing and attentive and as for the food - wow amazing/delicious. All of our meals were spot on, probably the best omelette I have ever eaten. Everything was so fresh and tasty from the lovely bread to the amazing sausages to the vegan options. Also lovely little touch to get a chocolate Santa with our tea. Thank you for looking after us and making our day / husband birthday special we will be back and are planning to make this a family tradition to meet at the Little Bean Café

I came here a few weeks ago for breakfast. The menu was quite limited. From what I remember for a full English it was quite pricey. I saw ‘spinach and mushroom’ on the menu but it didn’t say what so I assumed it was some kind of roll or sandwich. The waiter wasn’t sure what it was either?? But we ended up coming to the conclusion it should be a baguette, so that’s what I ordered. It arrived with a measly few bits of spinach inside and couple small mushrooms. It was very underwhelming. I also didn’t love how our table was literally 2 inches away from the lady next to us, I felt like we had no privacy.

In need of a snack lunch while in transit my wife and I were very pleased with everything about the Little Bean. The choice of sandwiches and specials was good and our order was fresh, generous and well presented. Nothing fancy .. just wholesome and tasty. Service was friendly. We went away clutching several portions of their home baked cakes for later in the day.

Food and service at this cafe is good when the owner is in residence. When she is absent the food and service go downhill. With no direction food at best is edible, service and clearing of tables is chaotic and reserved tables left empty as others are turned away. Owner can’t be in two places at once but with young adults left to their own devices (nice as they are) and an average cook in the kitchen this cafe for me is a no no

On a Monday, for the first time and with my daughter Laura, we had lunch at Crates and it was out of this world. The food was delicious, the products were fresh and last but not least, the staff was extremely friendly and what's more very helpful, especially Cheryl, Nina and Lisa who also happens to be the owner.
