Great food and service. Busy but not overwhelming. Definitely be going back.

Stumbled upon this place when car shopping nearby. What a find. Didn't plan on having a Sunday roast but had the porcetta. One of the best roasts I've had out in a long time. So happy we found this place. Will definitely be making the trip across the river again soon

Great place to have lunch overlooking the Tyne, great food and service and very nice decor. My Mediterranean risotto was really good and very reasonably priced, highly recommended.

Excellent cafe couldn't recommend it more. Espresso was especially good and they've got some very tasty ciabatta sandwiches.

I have to say, we go here just about every other week. My husband is Italian and therefore (in my humble opinion) he is a coffee, icecream and pizza snob! He is refuses to eat anywhere that 'pretends to be Italian ', so he's very happy here! Aside from that raving endorsement, I have to say that for me, I love the warm welcome and cheerful banter we always get when we visit. It really is the staff that make the whole place and we love to see everyone when we pop in. The food, of course, always lives up to expectation. Whether it's a breakfast with delicious bacon and gorgeous Italian bread, or lunch - from perfectly prepared pizza to a range of authentic Italian dishes, there is nothing on the menu that disappoints. The tiramasu is my special favourite 😍 I particularly love the international buzz and inclusive atmosphere here - there are a dozen different languages being spoken all at once and people visit in their travels from all over the world. The location is unusual, being out of the city centre (there is another right in the city of Newcastle) but this place gives you a lovely view of the river and the location also means you can walk off all that fine Italian food by taking a stroll along the Quay.

Sat outside in the autumn sunshine. Was very busy. Enjoyed a lovely flat white and arguably the best bacon sandwich I've had for a while. Excellent find

Staff are unbelievably friendly and attentive. They were more than happy to make us a traditional Italian carbonara and it was absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend 🙂

This place is cosy, local and in a great location on the waterfront, many people are not aware of it. Pizzas are good (not authentic italian), but good, as well as the Cannoli and coffee. Staff are friendly and service is very quick

Gorgeous cafe bar situated on Newcastle quayside near the business park. There's everything to like about this place - the service was great and the food top notch! I had a hazelnut mousse ball for dessert (that's not what it's called but that's what it was) and I think it's the best dessert I've ever had! I'd highly recommend that and the pasta ariabatta! They do a lovely mocha too if you fancy a take out! Check the place out - you'll not be disappointed.

Just been to the opening event at Liosi's Heaton and it was absolutely amazing. Great vibes and amazing authentic good made even better by the lovely VALENTINA 💕 will definitely be back!

We loved our experience at Liosi’s Sicilian Cafe Bar 🥪 🚤 Just by the River Tyne, it makes for a perfect location for a cuppa, lovely pastries, and amazing Sandwiches! There were so many patrons coming just for sandwich takeaways - a testament to how good it is. We ordered a vegetarian panini - delicious 🔥 no frills - well made. We also had a lovely Penne Arrabiata - spicy and rich. This is a dog friendly location. Definitely recommended, especially if you’re looking for chill cafe vibes facing the river 😃

Such a great place. Been 3 times now The food taste great full of flavour and quality and the service is excellent. Probably the best Sunday lunch I've had out to eat. Love the beer options and the desserts.

Visited for the first time today after a friend recommended it to us. Staff were very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable of their menu. We sat outside, and it was lovely. My husband said the meatball sandwich was the best he had eaten. All our food was fantastic.

What an amazing place this is. Only popped in very early for a coffee while my windscreen was being replaced. Very popular place for breakfasts, great atmosphere and the smells coming from the kitchen were amazing. Will definitely be back for more.

What a gem of a place. We’ve just returns from a lovely evening catching up with friends and eating delicious Italian food. The service is excellent food amazing and we can’t wait to go back. No photos of the food unfortunately as we couldn’t wait to tuck in. The bruschetta I had and calamari my partner had were done just right and the pasta dishes so tasty. I highly recommend this place.

It's our go to place for Sunday lunch, the food is excellent and the staff are lovely, it's like going to a relatives house for lunch. It's usually busy but there's a great vibe, we like it there...back soon! Brian and Avril

Went here for a sandwich ended up having a fabulous Sunday lunch. The raspberry pavlova was one of the best I’ve had in years. Highly recommended and will be returning with other family and friends soon.

My best cafe in Newcastle with good Italian coffee. Very quite area with a beautiful river view. There are free parking available as well.

Stopped for a quick beer as we were passing on the Hadrians Wall path. Lovely location and the staff were friendly. Dog friendly too 🐾

My friend and I enjoyed lovely coffee outside in the sunshine followed by lunch inside the café. We really enjoyed our coffee's and the food was absolutely delicious too. Friendly and attentive staff.

Love this place, we pop in every weekend and once or twice during the week for coffee, only sampled a few items from.the menu, but everything is spot on, great staff, very friendly, great service and a great atmosphere. It's like being on holiday while at home.

If you've walked from the quayside to here you deserve to stop and have a coffee on the terrace with views over the river,nice coffee and a relaxed vibe ,before turning back to walk past most of the 7 bridges over the Tyne.....

Love this place. You can sit inside or outside. Eat in or take out. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the menu offers a range of dishes and the food is delicious.

Two very tired walkers with an equally tired dog. The staff were pleasant and friendly. The food looked good but we only had time for tea and cake. If I'm ever back Newcastle way. That's my dinner stop!

Staff were lovely, chairs were comfortable, and the food was delicious. I had never heard of Liosi's but pleased I've been introduced to it! I would highly recommend a visit

One of the best Italian food you can find near Newcastle City Centre. It is tucked away in an industrial park next to the river bank. Good portion and reasonably priced. We usually go for the Risotto, Pasta, and Chicken dishes. Also, strong Italian coffee that they served plus goof selection of wine.

Being a huge fan of the city centre bistro, we’ve been meaning to try this place for a while. So pleased to have chosen it for a delicious full English breakfast this morning. Exceptional on all levels-wonderful staff, delicious food and outstanding value for money. Looking forward to returning.

Came across this restaurant whilst walking Hadrian's Wall Trail. Even though they were busy with lots of reservations, we were able to get a coffee.

Stopped here for a bite to eat and a cuppa whilst walking along Hadrian's Way. The service was amazing; we asked to split a hot sandwich and they brought it out already on two plates cut in half. The sandwich was a tasty mozzarella and mortadella combo with rocket and pesto. It was served with skin on chips which were perfectly seasoned. They offered take out options and sold some food items like dried pasta, canned tomatoes and ground coffee. The atmosphere was great and it felt like a real family business.

Great food when we eventually got it after waiting so so long. We were sat near the door which had been wedged open so we had to ask them to close it.

Update:- visited for Sunday lunch & the staff team were fantastic fitting us in a 3pm. Mind we just made it. Sunday lunch is 5 star but book early to avoid disappointment. A good selection of roasts and a veggie choice, plenty of seasonal vegetables, roast potatoes & mash with a cracking Yorkshire pudding. Out for my morning quayside walk and came upon Liosi's. Stop for a coffee and a croissant. Sat outside as it was a glorious February day. The staff could not have been more attentive, the service was great. Fantastic surroundings close to the river. A good selection of breakfast choices and I'll be back to try the lunch time and evening menu's which look delicious. Highly recommend a visit.

Went with family and my italian fiancé, fantastic atmosphere and very friendly staff. But most importantly the food was incredible. They really pay attention to the details and quality of ingredients is of the highest standard. We will be going regularly

Been going for a long time when we cycle past every week but for some reason the last couple of time we've waited for ever outside to get served, last time we ended up leaving , not good.

Excellent authentic Italian food.

Visited on Mother’s Day. They had a special Italian menu for the lunch. Also, Sunday lunch was available. Place was full. Ofcourse, service will comprise. Garlic bread with cheese and onion topping, the beef gravy and the Yorkshire pudding were the highlights. Good coffee too. On a nice sunny day,looking out on to the Tyne must be a feast to the eyes. Plenty of parking too. Need to go back to experience the full menu. Will return. Yes. We did go back on a good day. Very pleasant experience it was. The beef pasta was very nice. Ordered the garlic bread again!! As good as it was before. Ok Cheerful staff too. Bought some nduga sauce to take back home. It was yummy, if you can bear the spice level.

Nice location looking out over the river, lovely clean place, friendly staff were great, food looked amazing and seemed to be cooked well but unfortunately everything seemed to lack seasoning and flavour, quite underwhelming especially considering how expensive it is now. Would also just like to add that they still do that thing of decorating the edge of your plate with balsamic glaze so you (I) end up with it on your (my) hands and cutlery etc, something i find a bit pointless and annoying as you can probably tell 😆 . If this review was based only on food it would be a very average 3 star, but everything else about the place was great.

What a wonderful place. The staff are so friendly and attentive. The place is dog friendly but we sat outside. The outside area is so clean and has a lovely view of the tyne. The toilets inside were clean and well stocked. It was absolutely packed inside with all the tables full. We did find out you can book if you want to guarantee a table. The food was absolutely beautiful. They were more than happy to tweak the recipe for me as I wanted a slight variation of what was on the menu. The coffee was fantastic. I would 100% return ! Delicious food, very tasty and good-sized portions. Very reasonably priced. We were lucky that we managed to get a table for lunch as it can get quite busy! I'd suggest calling to book ahead if there are a few of you! The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a really nice atmosphere.
