Lin's Wok in Havant

Lady who took our order was super friendly and helpful! Our large order was ready quickly and our party enjoyed the delicious food which had great flavour! Would definitely recommend, particularly the Thai green chicken curry, Singapore rice noodles, chilli salt and pepper king prawns and chicken satay skewers!

Will not return. Decided to stop in as usual Chinese closed at that time of night, and hugely disappointed. Prawn toast tasted of oily fried bread, chicken balls soft and doughy, crispy fried shredded beef had unusual texture and unpleasant taste, sweet and sour sauce average, prawn crackers had tainted oil taste, only saving grace was special chow mein, which was great.

The food is absolutely delicious! Very good portion sizes and super tasty! The Staff are all uber friendly and welcoming, and small adaptations to dishes is not a problem. They cater for special dietary needs too, and recommend alternatives to dishes that cannot be adapted. There is also a delivery service which is always efficient with the food arriving hot and crispy! Their menu is eclectic with some really delicious, lesser known dishes. Highly recommend!!

Most food was good but the vegetable curry was very odd had broccoli and chips bits in it. Was pretty much inedible The chicken balls and noodles were good and the rest of family liked that

House Chow mein and prawn curry and fried rice ordered and Chop suez too..Delivery came without rice. I ordered fried rice together. SO ANGRY. 10 mins later rice arrived with same delivery man.. Apologies for mistake ..lovely man.. This is not good. Please check the delivery before going out. Curry had potatoes in it. .. ? Since when do a chinese as a takeaway have potatoes. Nice but no peas or mushrooms in curry. Had 2 fortune cookies when they delivered the rice they forgot that too in the main bag

Dreadful, half of my chicken curry was made ip of potato! Not much chicken and curry sauce was like wall paper paste. Also we had sweet and sour chicken was also awful. The price was £23!!!

Messed up our order which was noticed when serving up back at home Called them to let them know so said they would give me free next time as they knew me as a regular When back a few days later the attitude had changed and now will not return How can you buy swwet and chicken balls and get free sauce when it comes with it as standard anyway!

When I pay £41 sank at my local Chinese I expect my whole order to bloody be in there. Cashier is rude and ignorant. I’m missing 2 sauces from my dinner and have three portions of rice? I’ve paid for extra I should get extra?

Sandyfield Crescent - i've tried others many times. I keep coming back to Lin's because the quality never varies. If you don't know asian food you won't appreciate it. Do you want authentic food or "food for mcdonalds eater's" ? Me i prefer Asian food. (lady who takes orders is very helpful also which is a bonus)

Had crispy chilli beef, stale and the chilli was basically whole load of chilli flakes thrown into the sauce. The beef must be from another day and reheated as it was stale and clumped together. The chow mein was nice. Quick deliver

Just had the worst Chinese meal ever.. We ended up putting it straight in the bin. We ordered Chicken Balls ( so greasy and grey meat) crispy chilli beef ( tasteless and really hard). Special box meal (spare ribs tiny and greasy...chicken balls (outer coating so hard it shattered when I tried to cut through it.....the meat was tough...the prawn toast were 2 tiny triangles ((one bite))...chicken satay..hard dry meat. Rice ( only edible thing we had). Prawn crackers( stale).

We’ve been using Lin’s Wok as our go to Chinese for many years, it’s always consistently good. Portions are very generous, it’s always piping hot & delicious. When we are on weekend away we occasionally try other restaurants and it’s never anywhere near as good as Lin’s.

Lins Wok is a local Chinese Takeaway that, in my humble opinion, serves the best Chinese, Malaysian and other foods. I am addicted to their Malaysian noodles and rice. They have recently changed their Menu which has new dishes I am looking forward to trying. Their home delivery service is very quick and efficient. The Staff are all super friendly and polite and are always willing, where practicable, to adapt dishes to suit dietary needs. I will recommend Lins Wok to anyone who appreciates good, tasty food.

Prices have gone up extortionately, 50p yes but 1.50 per dish! Will go elsewhere

Wow! I cannot fault our meal tonight! Lin's Wok is going from strength to strength! Perfect prawn balls, scrummy pancake roll, absolutely stunning Sambal beef (please keep this on your menu!), fresh broccoli with tasty garlic sauce and egg fried rice. Well done guys, loved every single bite 👏👏👏

Waited way too long, for an order that was mainly wrong. I can honestly say I didn’t feel confident about putting any of it in my mouth. Absolute waste of time and money.

First time since moving here after D. Food lovely, HOT and crispy pancake roll with chilli..2 small rolls. Sweet and sour chicken and rice. Crunchy balls. Not sure on sauce tho. Think I like it. Not sweet enough !! Excellent value. Will use again..and debit card acceptance

I'm afraid to say generally as a family we were not very happy. The crispy beef was " soggy"rather then crispy. The schreeded crispy sea weed was very salty. I enjoyed my sweet and sour king prawns but the other 4 in the group were not impressed with their orders Good price and delivery time, the orderjust lacked in quality compared to our usual Chinese takeaway.

Used for delivery service. Very nice food, good portions and well packed. Nice to see a reasonable vegetarian section on the menu. Changed to four Stars as the last meal was lacking in taste. Ordering and delivery was still good though.

Sorry to say that we’ve supported this as a Chinese takeaway, but only used twice in 2020 due to lack of money, and on both times have been disappointed. Ordered a dish of Kung Po King prawn and had 4 soggy pieces in a dish that contained ingredients I specifically asked not to be in it. Previously a duck chow mien that was fatty and greasy meat. Gutted as it’s been something we’ve saved extra money to put by as a treat. 😔

Omelette was nice and chips were very good but the battered mars bar was ridiculous, I got it expecting at least a normal size Mars bar as I payed £2:20 for it and i got a snack size one at best, it’s just silly and should be stated in the menu that it is not a normal size bar

First time ordering, asked for a plain chicken and duck curry. The woman repeated it 2wise on the phone, no veg with chicken and duck, came after 20 minutes even tho got told 40 minutes in a 10 minute drive as well, I got my food. It had no chicken init just duck, with a lot of veg. Peas and onions init, the chicken balls sauce tasted weird as hell, vingaery, never again.

Hello I’m a usually quite and patient wee Irish women and I’ve recently moved from Ireland where Chineses are the best thing! And when I came to Lins wok I was static although every time I would seem to place an order they would not deliver *sigh beyond sigh* I would go to collect and find myself absolutely lost!! Having used Lins Wok on many occasions which I can see since being encouraged to use card payment I can record 9 orders totalling £250 over the last 8 weeks for our family. It is now so disappointing that having an issue with a £37.70 order that may had seemed small issue but it altered the whole families meals as we share the full order. I called them to explain on the night like they ask and we agreed we would sort it out next time I am there rather than travel back Next time I was there I feel very under valued as they seemed to have forgot so made a gesture of knocking off the price of some chips!!! The original error was simply but the poor way of trying to put it right has left me embarrassed and looking elsewhere now

Calling to order we were told our food could an hour to get here as they were very busy, we were quite happy to wait as it was recommend by friends. We waited an hour and a half before calling to check our order because we knew they were quite busy. We were then told they were cooking our food but It could take another hour to get here! Not matter how good the food may have been i don’t think It would be worth a 2 and half hour wait! Not impressed..

Thus is a take away. Yes I have had better and much more expensive food in a restaurant but as a take away and delivery it is the best in the area. Great food, great prices and great friendly staff. My son adores the shrimp rice and I’m working my way through the menu. Not had a bad dish so far. If you want guaranteed great taste at competitive prices then look no further!Paul

I ordered from here as my usual was closed. I got curry it’s so bland I’ve stopped eating it to write this review. Total waste of money the chicken is chewy and prawn balls have the smallest prawns ever it’s basically a ball of batter

The best Chinese food in the area. Their tofu in Peking sauce is insanely tasty. If you like your food a little spikey, try their Sambal dishes. They're more than happy to alter dishes to suit your requirements. They deliver as well!!

I visited here expecting it to be the best place ever, sadly that was not the case, the young blonde girl on the counter was excellent, very nice and smart i now wonder why she works there, i ordered what was the ‘veggie’ friendly option and could taste chicken, it was rubbery and hard and cold and very bland, in my opinion everyone in the surrounding area should avoid. I HAD HIGH HOPES AND IT ALL CAME CRASHING DOWN!

Just collected what was supposed to be crispy aromatic duck.. shredded to tiniest flakes with absolutely no flavour whatsoever just dried out & cold.Floppy cucumber sticks and dried out tasteless spring onion shreds. Absolute waste of money will not be going there again. Only that the weather was bad I would have packed it up & taken it back! Yuk

Rang for a takeaway/delivery and was told it would be an hour. After 1hr 15, rang and spoke to whomever takes the phone calls and was told my order was out with the driver. 20 minutes later still no delivery - now 35 minutes late! Rang again and was told it wont be long...I told the guy that I wasn't happy and that it's not really acceptable, to which he replied that he thought it was...!! Won't be using Lin's Wok anymore, especially until they change the person taking orders!

Absolutely disgusting mouldy banana fritter,raw batter mix in mars bars running out with thick batter,thick raw batter on the pineapple fritters with tiny little pieces of pineapple,all of it was a total let down,won’t be ordering from these ever again

Lins Wok do a very quick and efficient service. We've kind of worked our way through the menu, and some of it wasn't to our liking, but others have been consistently tasty and been regular orders.

Best 'Chinese' take away in the area. Lots of dishes to choose from including Thai, Vegetarian, Cantonese, Hong Kong style. They know us well and are always prepared to make changes to our orders from menu items. Great quick delivery too!! VERY FRIENDLY!

We have ordered from here over last 7/8 years and have never had bad service or food. My wife is pregnant and has a thing for prawn toast - after telling them this, they went that extra mile and put "congrats" on some free prawn toast - it's the little things that make a big difference. Highly recommended - wouldn't get Chinese anywhere else

Really nice take away. The staff are very helpful, willing to change pretty much anything with your dinner. However they could do with increasing the size of there chicken balls, very small compared to others.

The food was delicious we had the Singapore chicken fried rice and curry sauce which we thoroughly enjoyed. The service was good and friendly. We will be visiting again.Debbie

When our regular Chinese place is closed (Lotus House/ Dolphin) we have ended up coming here and usually end up regretting it. Our most recent visit this weekend was no exception. The service is quick and efficient but it's the food that lets it down for us. The special curry for example has a very watery/ light brown colour to it and contains more lumps of potatoes than bits of meat. The small black hair found in my curry on this occasion didn't ease the feelings of regret. Our last visit was Valentine's Day and they do make an effort with offering chocolates on your visit but we must remember like we said then and what we will say now; there are nicer and cheaper options available.

Shame we discovered this place too late, we moved after a couple of visits but would definitely recommend the food here. Plenty of veggie options too!

Stodge with too much salt and really did not care when i called to tell them. the food came far too quickly which meant that it had been sat for too long and just thrown together. the sauce was basic and was not what i had ordered.

Thier Satay beef chow mein is delicious. The chips are crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. The Singapore rice noodles are scrumptious.Try the Malaysian fried rice, you won't be disappointed. The Thai green curry is also extremely tasty.All the food is cooked fresh, to order and is always piping hot.The home delivery service is one of the quickest I've experienced.Great food. As I live a few roads away, this chinese would normally be our first choice, but I have noticed recently the quality of food declining. On Sunday I had sweet and sour chicken balls. The sauce was very lumpy, almost a curdled look and the chicken balls were dripping with grease. They've always been so good but it seems staff have changed, as has the food quality. I will be going elsewhere and try to find somewhere far better, which I doubt will be hard. Such a shame.

Since our nearest Chinese takeaway (Good View) changed hands, the food has gone drastically downhill and so we thought we'd try Lin's Wok. The young man serving was very friendly and the food arrived extremely quickly...so quickly in fact, that we wondered if it had been pre-cooked. Barbecue spare ribs were lovely and tender, but the sauce (so important) was glutenous and tasteless. We shared a chicken in lemon and sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style. Both tasted quite nice ( but not as good as Good View's prior to the change of owners). However, the chicken in lemon also had chunks of pineapple in it, which took away a lot of the lemony taste. There were no small pieces of lemon...just one slice.We shared a portion of rice. We ate around 6 ish, but by bed time, I ended up taking indigestion tablets and still felt bloated when I awoke this morning. We both agreed that we felt that we had eaten a load of junk food! I'm not sure that we will bother to return. To be fair, maybe we need to try some other dishes. In short: Pretty average...not bad, but definitely not good and could not really recommend it based on our first experience.

Asked for 3 cod and chips and 1 chicken and chips. As I didn't state large and small and wasn't asked, I expected a small as the default. The price should have been £16.60 but was charged over £19. I queried the price and the guy got the calculator out to show me it was correct so I thought I had made a mistake. However, what guy had done was given me small fish and large chips. What's that about? Why would that assumption be made? The lady there is really nice but the guy has a slightly abrupt attitude. Plenty of other takeaways so will use those instead.

plenty of choice, still hot when we arrived home, tasty choice and helpful girl on the desk. I never know what to order but with help we ordered a nice mix with crispy seaweed and special rice etc. Came to £16 and was loads for 3 people.

This takeaway at Milton Parade in Cowplain won't ever win any prizes in any category. It does have a 5 star council hygiene rating, and they do offer delivery, but the food is decidedly average. The vegetables are all a little under-cooked, the dishes over-salted and the sauces a bit unrefined. Prices are fine (£20 for two for a large meal with starters) and there's a reasonable selection of vegetarian options. You won't be horrendously let down by your meal, but there is in general so much better Chinese cuisine on offer, even in takeaways, than at this place.Expect a penny-punching 50p surcharge for using a card.

For a chinese meal take away we alwyas go here now. The service is excellent and the food is delicious. We tend to get a large variety of choices and we always get free prawn crackers and a bottle of coke. My only slight criticism would be the potatoe content in the curry but other than that all very tasty food.
