Limoncello in Bexley

We had a lunch for eleven people here for my mother’s 90th birthday. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The decor was nice and the table looked attractive. Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks.

Polite casual greeting,picked our table then service begun which was good. Place is spacious,clean and pleasant. Good menu, tasty food.

This tidy little neighbourhood restaurant deserves a visit for its delicious, fresh, home cooked food. Three of us have visited twice this week and we will be back again soon. On our first visit we had a duck salad as a main course. A generous bowl of greens and veg topped with a tasty confit of duck. One of us had a confit of duck ‘burger’ - really just pulled confit of duck on a bun with fries and cole slaw but filling and tasty - the duck soft and succulent. And one of us had grilled king prawns as a main dish. This was served with tiny new potatoes and a few broccoli spears. Six or seven huge prawns filled the plate with a grilled lemon and garlic butter for dipping. Prawns were shell on tasted of the sea they were so fresh. On this visit I tried the prawns, I was starving and these hit and filled the spot. The shared appetiser of Frito Misto which included delicately fried calamari, whitebait, regular size prawns and samphire was fresh and tasty too. As it was a cooler evening and we were seated outside, one of us had Lamb malabar- a secret recipe prepared in house and divine. Warming, filling, tasty, moreish and full of flavour. Just exactly the right amount of spice. And the third person in our party had Beef Stroganoff- delightfully tasty and lip smackingly good. The ambiance is casual and family oriented though everyone here on both our visits was stylishly dressed. On both occasions there were a few family groups with young (very well behaved) children, couples ranging in age from 30’s to 70’s, and small groups of friends. Tables are well spaced indoors and out, wait staff were friendly, competent and attentive.

There was a group of 8 ladies and we had an evening meal. Lots of choice. We had 2 courses and everyone agreed they were lovely. We have booked for Christmas for our 30+ladies. Yippee.

Just had a lovely meal for two here tonight. Everything was excellent. We had the pork belly and lamb shank and they were perfectly cooked, delicious and served piping hot. Mario looked after us brilliantly and we will be back again soon. Thank you to the chefs for the feast!

Recommended for 80th birthday meal. Food excellent, atmosphere very nice, service good, staff attentive. Staff surprised me by serving my sweet lit with candle on top, and singing a rendition of "happy birthday" All in all a great night out. Would certainly recommend.

The most satisfying restaurant me and my partner have ever eaten at. The restaurant nails the balance between home-like and exquisite attention to detail in food and service. Jose, like always, treats the guest as he is the host of a tastefully decorated home you’re personally invited to. Your coats are taken care of and you feel special. The food is chique, confident, and the flavours hit you like a rainbow. Whatever the occasion, this restaurant will handle your evening and do it well.

This restaurant was amazing when catering for my family and I. The food served here was great, from the variety offered to the quality of the food when served. Most of all, all workers and waiters that served us this evening made the experience much more special. They were always attentive and made sure we felt comfortable, offering drinks continuously whilst also emptying the table. Leading up to the event, the communication was great. They were very open and continued this throughout our meal which made the whole evening special. I would recommend it to anyone.

Had a lovely time this evening celebrating a relative's birthday. The restaurant staff were so accommodating, and made us feel very welcome. The food was beautiful and the price was great! Even the small details such as the broccoli and peas tasted amazing. Throughout the night, we were treated with nothing but kindness. My dad lives locally, and we visit Limoncello regularly. Staff are always friendly and attentive, and we always enjoy the food. Can't fault it!

Tasty food, I had the set menu and my friend had the a la carte. We both enjoyed our meals and had a lovely catch up at Limoncello. I'd recommend the rib as a main and the apple crumble.

A first time visit to Limoncello after a good review so thought we would try it. Grilled King Prawns for starters - lovely Salmon for mains - tasty Great service and would recommend a visit.

Visited on xmas eve with my family. Lovely restaurant, that makes sure the food is up to standard and the service to match.

Myself & 8 friends visited on Sunday 17th Dec for a Christmas meal. Service was absolutely amazing considering we were a big group & the restaurant was super busy. Really reasonably priced & lovely food. They even came over at the end to offer us a complimentary shot of limoncello which was so kind! Will 100% be visiting again and urge anybody considering to go to do so!

Great place for a Christmas meal, but the vegetarian option was lacking substance. Fishcakes starter was nice, and Lemin Posset was lovely. The roast dinners looked generous. Everyone said they were delicious. They just need to up their game for vegetarians.

Fantastic time on Saturday 9th December the food was great there was 25 of us and all said food was great looking forward to going back there soon from Mr Lee golesworthy

A group of 12 and had a great afternoon

We booked a table for on the understanding it was 2 course for £28, day before got a call from the restaurant saying it was 3 course for £45 (which we had to pay the full amount up front, having already paid a £10 deposit per person). The reason for this was because there was a DJ, need I say the DJ didn’t start until 8pm (I think), by which time we were leaving. We queried this with the owner, all I can say was he was sooooooo rude to us it was unbelievable! Will never return to this restaurant and I shall also advised others not to……sadly the “Italian” restaurant is now not run by Italians so the food to just average.

Really enjoyed the food here. Vegetarian starters were tasty and the fish & chips was fantastic - fish was huge and beautifully chunky. Will definitely be coming back.

Slightly more meat in the main meals would make it 5 star

I visited Limoncello to celebrate my friend’s 31st birthday. The name of the restaurant meant a lot to my friend as he used to do part time in a restaurant under the same name in his home country. The food was very nice and I love the atmosphere there. You can see that the patrons are residential and this is one of their go-to places for chill. The owner and waiters held the dessert with candles 3 and 1 and walked to us. It couldn’t feel better! I’m happy to be part of the lovely memories even though he’s leaving soon. Thank you!

Another family celebration with Sunday lunch at Limoncello. As usual the food was delicious and beautifully presented. And Jose his team were welcoming friendly and efficient. This restaurant never disappoints. Can’t wait for another excuse to go back!

Service was pretty good for this busy Sunday lunch. The food was OK but not anything special. The acoustics were poor, making conversation quite difficult.

We went for father's day lunch with family. The roast dinner was very good freshly cooked and hot and tasty. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Will go back again soon.

Excellent! We'll definitely be a returning customer! We booked a table for 6 to celebrate a special birthday. We were well looked after by the lovely waitress, she was attentive, friendly and just truly professional. Chicken breast, Limoncellos hamburger, lamb, pork belly (just to name a few) were absolutely delicious. Compliments to the chef. I loved that we were 'left to our own devices' and not rushed, we had enough time for gift opening and laughter, that's the atmosphere you want, when visiting an Italian restaurant. I also noticed how friendly all the staff were with children, very nice to see. We left well happy and well pleased that we chose to have birthday dinner there. Thank you for making our evening so nice!

We (19 guests in total) dined at Limoncello on a Wednesday night for a 50th birthday celebration and they could not have been more accommodating. We were greated by incredibly friendly staff who helped set up balloons and made sure we were happy with our table. Our waitress was amazing, probably one of the best I've ever encountered. Everyone said their food was fantastic and I would highly recommend the Pork Belly, which was cooked perfectly and came with a delicious gravy. I would definitely dine there again. Thank you Limoncello for helping to make it a wonderful evening.

Tried so many times to book this restaurant, we finally went tonight fabulous place lovely ambience waiter great Bradley I think food was so delicious would want to return, there was huge party on one table and a 60th on another so friendly loved it thank you Vanessa hicks and ken

Lasagne was terrible for the price £15. looked more like a burnt pancake with a bit of lettuce on top. Took over 40 min to get a starter and just under 2hr to get our mains. Would I recommend? absolutely not. When the waitress asks you whether you've had your main dish you know that you've been forgotten about. Arrived at 7pm left gone 9pm very slow service. 8 people £280. If it wasn't a birthday celebration I'd of said something but not wishing to make an unpleasant situation any worse I kept my mouth shut. Finally I watched tables of 4 persons and 6 turned around fast. Seems like they'd forgotten us. I know the response will say its a fair price but it's not at all not for the experience we had.

Quiet on a weekday lunch as expected, but still get a very warm welcome and really lovely looking inside. Good selection on the menu and the food is delicious, the stroganoff was perfect, could have eaten another plate and reasonable prices too. Will be back very soon.

Went for Sunday roast, nice atmosphere in the restaurant, good service, and a lovely roast beef dinner. The meat was melt in the mouth, my wife had the lamb which was also very tasty. Lamb shanks were also ordered and the meat just fell off the bone . The staff were very attentive and professional. Well worth a visit. Highly recommended.

Unnecessarily expensive for the quality of food! We spent about £40- £50 per person because we were deliberately picking cheaper options. The portion sizes were very small (especially the starters) excluding dishes with meat or chips and the pasta dishes were extremely plain. Our waitress forgot to bring over cheese that she offered, so I sat and waited for ages whilst everyone ate. At the end the waiters came round with a tray and asked us each if we would like a shot or lemoncello and did not specify if this was on the house or to be paid for. It was not a good experience overall and I felt a little annoyed when paying the bill.

Came for a Christmas staff party. Never been before, so I didn't know what to expect. The service was amazing, and the staff were friendly and chatty. The food was delicious and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely visit again.

An excellent local restaurant, reasonably priced according to the menu, but I was a guest on this occasion and didn’t see the final bill. The food was well prepared and presented, with friendly but unobtrusive service. We had a late lunch on a quiet Thursday afternoon, and would recommend the place to my friends.

meal for 5 really well set out restaurant with a good menu al a carte and sunday roast option. staff attentive and efficent food was enjoyed by all seafood plater, deep fried brie and calamari for starters all very well cooked and served in good time. mains the fiah and chios was a good size and the batter was excellent, lamb ragu, lamb malabam (spelling maybe off og that one), beef strogonoff, and lasagne all really tasty and well enjoyed. went outof their way to get a birthday cake with candle. all woth drinks and deserts for about £40 per head. including 4 processcos 3 beers cocktails would recommend for the food service and the restaurant as a whole.

The owner of this establishment is very selective on who he treats nicely and how he treats with minimal effort. The are over-priced for the service you receive. Me and my younger brother came in for a pint to celebrate a promotion and he insisted that we HAD to buy food with a pint. However, I asked a group of gents outside who were having drinks, and such request was not applied to them...

Jose and the team hosted a 70th birthday 'do' for 30 guests and barely broke a sweat. Great food (amazing seabass, chicken and lamb), great drinks and friendly staff. Thanks for a great day all.

Good value set lunch and dinner menu. 3 courses for £20! Great ambience and excellent customer service. The only let down was my sticky toffee pudding didn’t taste home made, more like a supermarket dessert heated in the oven. However I will just avoid this dessert on my next visit and opt for something else.

As a large family group of 19, it was decided to book here after being given recommendations. The ambience of the restaurant was very relaxing & there is nothing negative that can be written about as the food looked appealing & tasted delicious. I personally had lamb cutlets followed by apple crumble. The meat wasn't tough & l have never tasted such delicious apple crumble. The food was a bit more expensive than a lot of other restaurants, but it was definitely a case of 'you get what you pay for' & it was worth every penny!! Between us we had a variety of meals & everyone agreed that their food was lovely. I don't live in London, but l would definitely book to go here for special occasions in the future. Thank you to Jose & his team, they really looked after us & we all went back to our hotel feeling very full up. If you get the opportunity, you must try this establishment, you won't be disappointed!!

Had a family meal here last night for about 20 people and have to say it was amazing. The service was excellent and the food was just beautiful. I live locally so will be coming here more often now. Really cannot fault the place.

Just got back from a lovely meal there. Our first visit, only sat outside so I don't know what the actual restaurant is like but the food was amazing. Very friendly staff, resealable prices and they don't automatically charge service charge! (I hate when places do that). Though the menu is very meat heavy and there are very few (if any) vegetarian options. Didn't bother us but as we wanted only "light" starters/dinner we went for sea food. Honestly lovely. Will definitely go back for a proper night out.

Family girls night out 100/10! Service fun, relaxed and professional from all members of staff - 5/5 ladies loved their varying starters and mains (didn’t have desert) as a local this was our second time to Lemincello and we all will be absolutely retuning! As a highlight the Brie starter and lamb main were incredible - never had a whole eatable delicious lamb dish without any fat or grissle! Thanks so much we will be back!

We had our Mothers Day lunch here yesterday, served by the lovely Ollie. It was my first visit, definitely not my last. The food was delicious , decent wine and a really nice atmosphere.
