This is a really super place. It has a fabulous range of food, all of which is excellent quality and beautifully served by nice people. The wall decorations are quirky and interesting. Very, very good coffee too. It’s just ‘nice’ in this place. The atmosphere is laid back and relaxed. We had a lovely lunch here. Unusually, our dog felt relaxed enough to sleep on the floor - a first in a place like this. But they also made a fuss of her, which she loved. Thoroughly recommended.

For sometime we have been looking for a real good place to have a suitable English breakfast , plus the restaurant itself, this food place was recommended to us , so this was our experience of the food, restaurant, staff, selection of breakfasts, There was just two of us to eat, we arrived early but it only opened at9am, the restaurant inside is quite different , unexpected, interesting, we sat in the window area , we both ordered having read through the menu my older son had the full English breakfast, l had just three bacon slices, and baked beans, plus hot chocolate and tea, to our surprise were asked to pay right away even before seeing what we are about to eat , it did take sometime and arrived all at one time, the young staff seemed to have only just started there but were alright, food was ok nothing really to make you wish to come back, staff did not clear away plates etc left it on the table? Little disappointed and probably will not be rushing back. Sorry guys

Stopped in for a coffee & ended up staying g for lunch. We had a few minutes wait for a table as it was busy when we arrived but we checked out the menu while we waited. In no time at all a table became available & was quickly cleared off & cleaned. The cafe is very aesthetically pleasing, really cute & quirky. I ordered tea & a chicken satay wrap & my husband ordered a dirty tai chi coffee & he said it was the best coffee he's ever had (& he drinks a LOT). He had Pad Se Ew (chicken & veg with egg fried noodles), it was absolutely delicious. We would definitely recommend.

Had breakfast at Lily’s with my friend. My scrambled eggs on toast were cooked perfect and the toast was soft (sometimes sourdough can be hard!) Coffee is delicious and the staff are super friendly 😊 Only giving a 4 because I find the seating abit strange and not very comfortable. The window has awkward chairs that don’t fit under tables…so you’re hunched over 🙈

Kicking myself that I haven't been to Lily's before! Found my new favourite place in Truro. Walking in, you're hit with a soft smell of coffee and a refreshing blast of lemongrass coming from the kitchen. Our eyes were immediately drawn to the vinyl collection which cover the walls and ceilings and our ears were pleasantly pleased to hear the likes of David Bowie and Elton John. We were welcomed with a smile and immediately felt at ease. Pick a table they said and so we did. In full pig out mode and eyes bigger than our bellies, we opted for the small plates sharing platter. Its one of those where you don't know what to eat next because it's all so delicious and you're flitting between each one trying to work out which one was best! Next I had the Pad Thai which I've eaten many times before but none as good as this one. I liked how Amy put the peanuts and chilli on the side so you can add it to your taste. My partner had the curry of the day which I had a tiny bite of (that's all he would give me) and it was beautiful! The atmosphere was busy and bustling and you could tell they really care about their customers. (Especially overhearing the waiters asking each customer if they had any allergies!). Will definitely be back. Thank you Amy!

This time we had something to eat a jacket potato with tuna and onion and a green Thai chicken curry both were very Tasty and hot with plenty in the portions we also had a cupcake which was lovely and moist. Will def be back again service is always friendly and swift can’t fault it and the added extra is being able to take out spaniel Willow in and she loves the treats. Thanks again

Breakfast was tiny (1 sausage, 1 small slice of bacon etc) but was £10. Ordered a latte and got a tiny cup with milky coffee flavoured froth in (why do places not serve lattes in a latte glass?!) My wife's experience was the same with her food and drink, overall breakfast was more expensive here with one drink than the lunch we had later on in the day with two alcoholic drinks. As others have said the staff seem to like huddling together for a chat rather than serving you. Shame as they are close to where I live but I'll walk past and go to one of the many other lovely cafes in Truro.

Found Lily’s by accident while looking for tea and cake after visiting Gaia and the Wildlife photos @ Truro Cathedral ( which is well worth a visit ). It was pleasantly busy with a very mixed clientele. Breakfast is served, then a Thai menu is available at lunchtime and cakes etc after 3pm. Some customers tucking into Khun Amy’s delicious food, well presented too. We had tea and cake and there was a good selection of cakes and traybakes including low gluten and g/ free. Would definitely return and try the Thai menu as well Note that you pay when you order.

Visited for breakfast for my wife’s birthday. Food quality-good Food itself was good quality but bacon and beans could of been hotter, was Luke warm. Service- average. Welcome was ok, order taken and paid, food delivered and there was no other interaction. No staff asking if we wanted more food or checking if our food was ok despite there being a sign above the toll area stating it was table service. Allergies please be aware, even despite asking us if we have any allergies- which lucky we didn’t in this establishment. The chef came out to speak to the lady front of house, possibly manager/owner and say she had to cook gluten free sausages and normal sausages- asking was it ok to cook in the same tray with just a bit of foil in the middle and the lady front of house said yes!!! Cross contamination!!!!!! Wouldn’t feel comfortable eating here if I had allergies. Would I come back, most probably not due to the above and the average at best service.

A short wait for a table saw us seated and due to the demand we had two tables of two which gave us the opportunity to sit on one table with the kids just across the way on another. The welcome was friendly and relaxed and we instantly felt relaxed. The ambience was comfortable and the decoration, which is best described as eclectic, enhanced the feel of the place. The menu was varied and had enough choice for all of us including two teenagers and a veggie. The food when it came was fresh, well prepared and well presented. A wonderful menu, fabulous fresh juices, lovely service, calming decor and atmosphere, and super friendly staff who have excellent memories! My young son particularly enjoys sampling the cake, I love the porridge with banana and honey - a simple choice but beautifully executed!

Nice cafe at the top of Pydar street. Sandwich was very good as was the service. Only slight disappointment was the lady taking the order who seemed a bit off in her attitude. However we will return again.

Before I get to my experience at Lily's of Truro, I should point out that I am not a regular visitor to Truro. No. Actually the parking situation tends to put me off. However, my choice of computer sometimes brings me over here to peruse the many offerings of the nearby Apple store. Today was one of these occasions. With my tech perusal complete, it was time for lunch and as luck would have it, Lily's of Truro, is more or less, right next door. What can I say about this place? Well, it has a very warm and cozy vibe; there's definitely a bare wooden theme to be place which is easy on the eye. I shared a chicken wrap with my dear old mum and it was very nice too. Highly recommended.

On the first Saturday after Christmas Truro Cathedral holds its annual Carol Service for pets! We were looking for somewhere dog friendly nearby for lunch before the start of the service. And what a great discovery Lily's turned out to be. Very welcoming for everyone, two legged and four. We had the very tasty soup, served with foccacia - just right for a chilly afternoon. This was our first visit but we'll certainly return in the future.

I love this place, I always go in there when I shop in Truro. The staff are always really friendly especially if you have your 4 legged friend with you. Today I had the jacket potato with tuna and red onion. It was baked to perfection and there was plenty of filling. Absolutely recommend it.

We've been a few times before but unfortunately, on this occasion, we found the welcome lukewarm at best. The person taking our order seemed disinterested in what we wanted, which may have contributed to an error in our order. As someone who drinks decaf coffee with oat milk, I always check when my drink has arrived to ensure the correct drink has been made as mistakes happen. On this occasion, a mistake had happened, which is fine. The lad bringing my drink took it away in order to replace with the drink I'd ordered. Unfortunately, what followed was a quite surprising customer service experience in which the man taking our original order, who I assume to be the owner, arrived at our table with the till receipt, pointing out that we hadn't ordered what we thought we'd ordered and that if we wanted it correcting, we owed him a further 40p. His tone was officious, not remotely considering the error may have been their's, and in no means going to let the situation go to keep a customer happy, despite the fact we'd just spent the better part of £30 on three sandwiches, two cold drinks, two coffees and a cake. So... forgive me, but not exactly a cheap affair. Taken aback, I gave him the extra, and received my coffee and change (which tbh, I left on the table, perhaps they needed it more than I did, hence the mood.) I appreciate my milk choice is slightly more expensive, but when an error that would cost you less than 40p to ensure your customer remains happy... I'd be inclined to suck it up.

We had a lovely lunch here on a Sunday afternoon. The menu was great and everyone in our group was very happy which included ages 8 to 72, a vegan, vegetarian and someone on weight watchers! The smoothies and soup special (apple, parsnip and ginger) were the biggest hits. We felt cosy and comfortable whilst it poured with rain outside, and left very happy and full!

We stopped by to get out of the rain and were all given a friendly welcome and a good cup of green tea and a flat white coffee. The lovely staff made a fuss of our dog and didn't mind us asking them at length about the local area and what was where. They are worried about the local shopping area being regenerated and the effect that it may have on their business so please pop in and see them. They will greatly appreciate it and you'll have a pleasant visit.

We were made to feel welcome the moment we stepped through the door which we appreciated on a very wet Monday afternoon. Lovely scones with lots of cream and jam, and nice hot coffee. Pleasant relaxed atmosphere.

This Cafe is wonderful! We came over from California and I was in desperate need of a coffee and breakfast. We found Lily's of Truro at the top of the high street in Truro. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly. The cafe stands out with the beautiful coral color on the outside and cool interior colors. The menu was innovative and healthy but had all the standard delious items too. They had the most amazing bakery items. I had a cappuccino which was perfect and quick. Then I had the salmon quiche and it was outstanding. I used the wifi to down load emails and do some quick work. I wish that there was a Lily's in the US.

Absolutely wonderful visit. The cream tea was the best I think I’ve ever had. Warm scones, huge pot of cream and delicious jam, must be homemade. The tea was piping hot and came with an additional tea bag should you like it strong.

What a gem! We had no idea where to go for lunch but chose the shed; a great choice! The steak was so good and the sole cooked to perfection. Great wine, appetisers and dessert to boot. Fantastic value and the service was great Thank you so much.
