Lightwater Country Park Cafe in Surrey Heath

Why is the owner unable to smile and make you feel welcome. Basic customer service is a long way off in this place. It's also very over priced.

Lovely idea to have a cafe in the park but absolutely marred by the miserable staff and overpriced drinks. I generally try to support local ventures and enjoy going out and stopping off somewhere local but extortionately expensive and staff genuinely could not be bothered. Felt like an absolute burden, will not return.

Clean and comfortable with good choice of food for a small cafe. Dog friendly - although we didn't have one!!! Nice play area for children with some tables and chairs so parents csan watch their children.

I paid a visit and asked for coffee in a proper cup. Unfortunately, I had to make do with the paper variety as, apparently, the dishwasher is not used when the footfall is low. It wasn't clear whether that rule was made up by the server alone or not. How low is low, and when does the low footfall season start and end? Who knows. Not exactly an example of "the customer is always right" service.

The interior of the cafe was well laid out and welcoming. The price for two ice creams was excessive and the service was from a gentleman who appeared to have been press-ganged into his job.

Popped in for a drink during our dog walk, the cabin in the woods itself is nice and the set up and scenery is lovely and that's about where it ends. We paid just under £20 for 4 tiny drinks and 2 biscuits, they were only Costco ones re-wrapped (you could tell by the selection) and Costco charge 25pea for them, £2.50 is a rip off. We could have looked past the very high prices and wouldn't have even bothered reviewing but the staff were dire. Slow, miserable, grunting. Waited ages for the coffee, any other cafe would offer to bring them over when done. If you're going to charge such high prices you could at least do it with a smile. Not even a thank you when we paid, even though I thanked him for the drinks. To top it off, the whole time we were in there, there was a little dog that barks every time someones moves, now I love dogs but I don't want to sit and listen to one barking the whole time.We wont return.

Here for the first time today and loved it. The cafe is very comfortable, nicely spaced tables and some comfy chairs. Good selection of food and drinks at reasonable prices. Very children friendly, lots of books for them. Felt very relaxed after a long walk in the park. No parking charges here.

A very friendly and welcoming cafe and just what you need after a walk in the park. My kids love the hot chocolates with flavoured syrup, whipped cream, marshmallows but there are a vareity of drinks and snacks. Lots of freshly baked cakes and good lunch options. It is very comfortable inside but it is also nice to sit outside on a warmer day. Children and dogs friendly.

La ubicación es inmejorable, se encuentra en el parque de Lightwater y además acepta la entrada de perros junto con sus propietarios. El café y el té es de gran calidad y los camareros son atentos y agradables. La comida es muy buena y el servicio es excelente.

Thankfully, there are no grizzly bears in the park but there is certainly one that works in the Park Cafe! Tried to purchase hot coffee and something to eat last Sunday and was met with 'You'll have to wait. There's lots on!'. I then noticed the way in which food was being prepared so I decided to help him with his problem and walked out. I also begrudge paying £2.25 for a tiny piece of Coconut slice and £1.99 for a basic cookie!

We have used this café several times now. It a quiet place to relax after a walk by the ponds and has reasonable quality drinks and snacks

Such a nice place to go for a coffee or snack. Lovely friendly couple who run it. Lovely home made scones 👍 plus dogs are welcome.

This is a brilliant place and right on my doorstep. Visited for first time today and was amazed. Really nicely furnished, plenty of room, outside tables also. Dog friendly wit treats provided. Nice lady serving. Great range of home made cakes, fresh coffee and tea. Light meals look lovely so will return.

Out geocaching we came across this cafe. The coffee was the best my husband had tasted for ages and the homemade scones were delicious and fresh. Nice comfortable chairs; not busy (school day) and a pleasant host.

This cafe sells a range of savoury and sweet things. The scones are homemade and delicious. It's run a by a really friendly couple who are very welcoming.

Freindly staff, dog friendly with a large fenced off play are for children next door. Lavazza coffee and good local food.

This was such a lovely surprise, comfortable & cosy, dog friendly Cafe in the heart of Lightwater Country Park. Good service, big comfy armchairs, very child friendly with a book & games corner, well worth a visit !
