Lighthouse Cafe in King's Lynn and West Norfolk

Nice little cafe with a good choice on the menu. Staff were friendly. Hot chocolate was a delight. Will visit again when next in Hunstanton.

Ordered a Laite what a dissapointment it was terrible. Cheap bitter coffee not good at all. The cake was nice. We have been before and it has certainly gone downhill. It's a great location just a pity it was so bad.

Decided to pop out for a Sunday morning cooked breakfast. We've been to the Cliff Top Cafe before and love the fact that they allow dogs inside so our JRT Millie didn't have to miss out. We both had the small breakfast. Portion size was great value for money and we were also able to order Millie a dog sausage. The food was beautifully cooked (the bacon was so tasty) washed down with a lovely cuppa. We will definitely be back (again) as we haven't had a bad experience there. We know we're going to get good food at the right price...... and Millie gets to tag along as well 😀

Had a lovely breakfast here on our last morning of our break. Visited about 5/6 years ago and was pleased that the food was as good as it was back then. The menu is exactly what you’d expect of somewhere like this and the quality of the food is well above average. Always good to have plenty of gluten free options too, and they are flexible and accommodating to reasonable adjustments to menu options.

Owner less than friendly. Asked to use the toilet but he said no as he had just cleaned it and to use the toilets elsewhere in an unfriendly manner.

We stayed a night at a hotel in Hunstanton. We ate lunch at this cafe twice . Great location. Near old Hunstaton beach. We loved the food. Very dog friendly inside and out. The owner gave our dog a treat as I ordered the food which was lovely. They even let us order a couple of bacon slices for our doggy! All staff vety friendly. There was a water in bucket outside for dogs. The shop was lovely too, we had ice cream whippy with a flake ! All reasonably priced. Even bought a rope tug toy for my dog in the shop for just £3.50! Will definitely be back !

Great location but terrible food. We live local and decided to walk to the cafe with our dog for breakfast. We were very disappointed the scrabbled egg was undercooked and the salmon was slimy and gamey. Even my dogs sausage looked raw and was cold. Everything is also overpriced £2.60 for an apple juice. I will not be visiting again. The only compliment I can give is to the lovely young lady who offered my dog a biscuit.

We were welcomed by one of the staff coming to the door with a biscuit for our dog! The bowls of water placed outside for the doggies were also much welcomed, by us and other visitors. Once inside, the menu was just as we would have wished, food freshly prepared and served with a smile. As far as I could see there were two staff on duty in the cafe, both very friendly and attentive. We had a light lunch and a generous mug of tea. We visited at a quiet time but even so, the cafe was getting plenty of business - we had the feeling it is popular iwth locals and tourists alike.

Lovely dog friendly cafe sitting above a dog friendly beach. We had fish and chips for us and the kids and thought it was really good value for eating in. Sits above the truly beautiful Old Hunstanton Beach. So much nicer than the town beach and cafes which are busy. This cafe was an excellent stop on our walk.

Not worth it the beach is dirty and packed with dogs but its not as dirty as the cliff top CAFE .It is absolutely disgusting sticky tables and filthy cutlery muddy dog pawprints everywhere as well as a massive rip off.. with very unfriendly rude staff ..I gave my inedible full English to one of the many barking dogs inside.. And Like many others have said the beach car park is a rip off too that's if the pay machine even works if you are going to pay twice for your food choose somewhere else ..better to stay in town and avoid that iv been ripped off feeling when you leave this cliff top cafe

In area on business on a bank holiday Easter Sunday needed a nice cup of tea and hopefully a nice snack I ordered tea and breakfast it was superb very well cooked and very tasty best seaside breakfast this year superb

I have used this cafe for years now from when they were called the Lighthouse Cafe. As a keen motorcyclist it has long been one of my favourite rest stops. I usually go for the big cooked breakfast and it has always been excellent. Washed down with a mug of steaming tea and it's just what you need after a (sometimes) cold ride out to the coast. The staff are always friendly and smiley and whether you're seated outside or in, the views are gorgeous. It caters for all sorts too and despite turning up in my bike leathers I am always made to feel just as welcome as Mr and Mrs respectable dog-walker. (Not that I'm not respectable, but you know). A highly recommended cafe!

Tried the liver/bacon off the specials board. Wow that was something special. Microwaved, overcooked, flavorless and inedible. Suffice to say def will not be revisiting. Others in our group had a similar experience.

We've always raved about this place but today was dreadful! We left feeling sick. The service was awful with a girl that really had no service with a smile about her. We were told to order our drinks first but by the time they got our order right they were cold. The food arrived and the burger was dry, my sandwich was overloaded with cranberry and the liver was over cooked. The cutlery was filthy!

Accepting it was New Year’s Day, very busy but a big breakfast arriving with no sausage, one egg, 3 bits of bacon and I piece of bread measuring 10x10cm at a cost of £8.50 is rich. Tuna and cheese jacket potato at £8 with only tuna….. they will not be busy for long! Coffee was fantastic

This café is situated near a large car park and I imagine it gets very busy during the summer holidays. We visited on a September weekday afternoon so there was plenty of seating outside, as well as indoors. The cheerful lady serving was very helpful...

This is a fairly standard cafe. Drinks servings are generous. It is located on the cliff top, close to the old lighthouse. Outdoor seating has no shade.

Even though we were staying in another area in Norfolk on this holiday we had to visit this café again to see if it is just as good during the summer season, (last visit at the height of autumn). It was every bit as good, well worth travelling the 26 miles to get here. Hubby's all day breakfast (his favourite) was a very generous plateful of tasty ingredients, so much so I was able to have one of his lovely sausages to go along with my very good egg, bacon & chips. We also managed a generous slice of their delicious cakes each of which there was a very good selection. The staff were just as nice & friendly as on our previous visits. In light of the current situation they were very good at cleaning everything between customers. Hope to have another visit during our stay.

With the windy weather and a lovely dog walk along the beautiful beech , we decided to pop in and have a full English breakfast as a treat. Lovely and warm inside, and really enjoyed the big breakfast it went down a treat. Cakes looked so tempting we took some as a takeaway to enjoy later, they were fantastic Sad to see a couple leave as coffee machine broken, some people are such snobs. If you popping by to the lovely beech I definitely recommend popping in , will be back again we need to help Hunstanton businesses to keep going and need to support more when it’s quiet

Walked from Hunstanton along the beach so this was a welcome place to stop for coffee and cake, especially after reading reviews on here.NB the cafe is near the lighthouse rather than in it (as we initially thought from its name).Wood burner made it cosy.We shared a slice of yummy coffee and walnut cake.Good coffee.Polite efficient service. Tables cleared promptly after customers left.

Visited this superb café several times during our week stay nearby. Best BLT sandwich ever. The lunches were also very good, we enjoyed, ham, egg & chips and scampi & chips, the chips were excellent. Other meals also looked very good. Good coffee, hot chocolate with cream & flake hard to resist. Everything very good value. Service was good and very friendly staff.

We usually visit with our dog, but this time it was without him as he passed away earlier this year. Lovely to see all the dogs in there and making a fuss of them. They clearly advertise "Dogs Welcome"I arrived there with my three dogs hoping they could drink the water placed outside. It was full of water but dirty with flies and dust. I asked a male member of staff if he could change it as the dogs would not drink it. He refused by saying there was water in it and he was too busy to change it. So much for dogs being welcome. If he had made the effort I would have purchased a meal and a drink for myself. As it was another cafe gained my money as they not only gave the dogs a drink but also a meaty doggie treat.

A lovely beach but day was married by the rudeness of one of the staff at The Lighthouse Cafe. It was the end of the day and a strong wind had picked up. My children were clamouring for ice cream which we bought at the cafe, served by a lovely friendly lady. However, a male member of staff then told us we would have to eat them outside as they were closing. I asked if we could eat them inside as it was very cold and other guests were still finishing their food. There was no sign up to indicate they were closed or I would not have bought the ice-creams. He refused to allow us to stay and told me I shouldn't have bought ice-cream if I was cold. No empathy shown to us at all. Very poor customer service.

Right by the car park overlooking the sweeping beach of Old Hunstanton this unprepossessing cafe was surprisingly pleasant inside with a good choice of simple meals , cakes & drink, reasonably priced. Good coffee. Best to sit outside on the benches & admire the view. On the other side of the counter is a beach shop well supplied with all sorts of things for the beach

Really nice little cafe! Sometimes visiting smaller establishments and trying to find vegan fair is a bit of a hurdle, but not here! Ordered some chips which were served really quickly. They had soya milk for my tea. Lots of veggie options but nothing that was advertised as vegan but the staff seemed knowledgeable so I'm sure they would know :) Even better, they had TWO vegan options for ice creams! Really enjoyed our brief visit, so thank you :)

We found this café by chance during our weeks holiday. We had a full English breakfast which was great value for money and then we had lunch one day and then came back for tea and cake - the coffee and walnut cake was wonderful and we even had some to take back with us. Can highly recommend - fantastic views too

We were staying in Kings Lynn, Norfolk UK and had some time to spare. We decided as it was a nice day we’d drive a short distance to this cafe (after spotting it on my phones google maps app’) as it was right on the North Sea coast between ‘The Wash National Nature Reserve’ and ‘Norfolk Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

Had Sunday breakfast here and I must say what a treat it was everything was cooked to perfection, really enjoyed it and set us up for the long travel back home, would highly recommend

The second time I've driven an hour to have breakfast here. Why? Smashing spot, lovely staff and sensible prices. Just a request; nice, local sausages would be a massive improvement. And maybe crusty bread.

Great little stop right on the Norfolk coastal path. Very clean, nice lattes (not stupidly overpriced like some places) and a good selection of yummy cakes on offer. Would recommend - especially if you want to be a bit out of town and get some great sea views. A proper seaside cafe but up a notch or two.

We visited for breakfast after a long walk with our dog. We were welcomed inside with our dog, he was given a biscuit which was a lovely thought. My husband had a full breakfast and I had a Bacon sandwich. We both enjoyed our food. We will be visiting again next year as we liked the area very much.

Love this place staff are mostly friendly and helpful. The food is typically cafe food but done really well. Prices are reasonable. All in all a good find. The did have a nice wood burner in the winter but this seems to have gone I’m hoping just for the summer.

My family enjoyed a lovely full English breakfast here this week, the staff were friendly and the food was lovely, especially the sausages. The cafe is situated overlooking the sea and the lighthouse, a perfect spot for a quick stop off on your way to the beach for a snack or meal. There is lots of choice on the menu and even a specials board or you can just have a coffee and piece of cakes which all looked good.

Friendly staff and a good location but the food (breakfast) wasn’t great, although very cheaply priced. I’d rather pay a bit more for better quality food to be honest.

Went for the first time last summer, told we couldn't have drinks inside because they were closing in 30 mins. We bought 2 cans and sat outside - must have been thirsty because normally we wouldn't have stayed.

Stopped for a quick bite before a walk along the beach. Was quite busy so we had a little wait for food. We had sausage roll (lovely), burger, sausage and egg sandwich and orange cake (delicious, almost as good as mine ). Felt the loo’s could have been a bit cleaner (around the taps particularly) but generally ok and we would come back.

Due to the stunning weather at the moment, it was a lovely little place for drinks and cake out of the sun.

Called in here for breakfast before we left to drive home..staff were friendly and breakfast was nice..only draw back was we had no change for car park and was told we had to buy something to get change which I fully understand but we were only parking car to have breakfast at the lighthouse...saying that clean and tidy and will return. .

Good menu with great looking cakes, I had toasted sandwich with rich homemade coleslaw. Good served quick and good value

So friendly. All day breakfast style food. Also cakes, tea and panoramic views. We pop in as we walk along the coast. 4* instead of 5 as I’m veggie and there’s not so much choice there.
