Leysdown Bakery in Swale

A very wide variety of cakes, pastries and bread. We purchased a selection of the cakes and pastries and they were all very delicious. All the items are very popular so and early visit is recommended as they are soon sold out.

We went to buy fresh roll and dougnuts all freshy cook and ended up having lunch freshly made sandwich and hot sausage roll, and cream cakes

Cakes are amazing here and very fairly priced! Staff seem friendly and are always smiling. Would definitely recommend

Lovely fresh baked breads and cakes. Amazing smell that entices your in. A proper traditional bakers. Highly recomended.

Sit In area, inside and outside. Hot pasties and sausage rolls, filled rolls, baguettes to order. Nice selection of cakes. Carrot cake was bland, fantastic Belgian buns. Really nice jumbo vinesse whirls. Great bread pudding. Open daily situated just outside entrance to static van site.

The only thing Leysdown has going for it is this Bakery! Great tasty sausage rolls & cakes!! A small outside seating area too.

OMG honestky cannot stick to a diet when staying at Leysdown. This bakery has the most amazing cakes! The bread and rolls are so fresh and tasty.

i come from London to get the bread here thats how good it is and it stays fresh for days i aways get about 6 to bring back with me door stop fresh bread with jam and butter iconic and so good i have been coming here for 12 years now no other bread comes close if in town give it a go you will be glad you did

The food is good, however the staff member that served us didn’t have a clue. She couldn’t even add up what we had brought and then forgot to give us some items too. Very disappointed

Staff were very friendly and the premises was spotlessly clean together with the addition of a tearoom . All the produce was very tasty and well presented .

Very busy with nice and helpful staff. We had a takeaway coffee with our Chinese Straws every day. They make both cakes and pies on the premises and are always busy with local support and holiday tourists. I will definitely be going back there again.

Some of the best Jam Doughnuts you will find anywhere . Super fresh huge and bursting with Strawberry Jam . Simply Yummo !!

My son has a Dairy allergy, they made him a fresh dairy free Tuna mayo baguette, we also ordered 2 ham salad baguette and they were delicious. The cakes looked amazing too. Thank you

The bakery is lovely and the service is great. I have to compliment the sweet bakes, the carrot cake is truly amazing! Couldn’t give it excellent as I found the sausage roll rather salty.

Been in here a few times, had both hot food and cakes. The food is ok and the staff are helpful and quick. However I think it is expensive for what it is. Shop is open 7 days a week which is really handy

Went for a ride to Sheppey one for Brambledown for some farm produce and then a short journey to Leysdown for a coffee and a chunk of bread pudding they don't do piece,Chunks are bigger

Leysdown Bakery is at several places from Leysdown to Rainham. The bread is delicious, the fresh cream cakes are even more delicious. I recommend the strawberry gateaux in particular.

We as friends go every morning fir a coffee and a chat before work lovely friendly staff food excellent not forgetting the cakes ...very clean affordable.

The bread,rolls and cakes taste like how bakers use to be. So much nicer than the factory goods. It's good old fashioned baking,and keeps fresh a lot longer than any other bakery goods.

When visiting Leysdown or Sheppey we always stock up with their London Cheese Cakes. Service is always with a smile and food offering always looks good.

This bakery has had many reviews and it is hard to find something that has not already been said. Ready made rolls and sandwiches but they are always happy to make you something different , pies, sausage rolls and wraps. Best array of cakes and pies that I have seen since I was a kid. Staff seem to have been chosen for their cheeriness, they are always happy, friendly and helpful. The only problem is how not to order too much as it all seems so lovely.

Come here for a lunch a few weekends back this place is a sugary heaven so many treats to pick from ! All reasonably priced and the sandwiches are great too. Would definitely come back next time I'm around

Good bakery in Leysdown Kent the food is always good and hot never can say anything bad about this will come up again soon but are they thank you

if you are staying on the isle of sheppey the leysdown bakery is a must visit. most of the stuff is baked fresh on the premises. excellent, very tasty. why not sit outside and have a cake and coffee you won't be disappointed.

Got some really lovely cakes and bread whilst on holiday. Really reasonable prices too. I especially recommend the brownies and carrot cake!

Crusty loaf was OK, the bottom was a bit hard, had an iced ring donut, was a bit too sweet, and big, don't think they're worth £1

Used this bakery a few times whilst on holiday. Lovely fresh bread and cakes. The cocconut cake especially is yummy.

My wife loved the Gypsy tart and I had the london cheesecake .We also had rolls from there nearly everyday day Got to be amongst the best bakeries around

Me and my family always go to do leysdown bakers when we are on holiday there and never get dissapointed as the bread and rolls, lovely tasty cakes ,milkshakes,pies and filled rolls are the best and before we go home I always buy quite a lot of rolls and cakes to remind me of this lovely bakers

Leysdown is a lovely. would definitely recommend the bakery. Lovely beach and everything you need on your doorstep

I had Sunday Lunch Lamb and veg, and it was lovely the gravy was so tasty I made a compliment to the Chef, so much so I went midweek and had lunch again and had Chicken Leek Pie, its making my mouth water to remember the food I enjoyed

I always buy my bread and cakes from the Leysdown bakers. It tastes like how bread use to be made,unlike the kind in the supermarkets. It stays fresh for longer too. The staff are helpful and friendly.

This place is always good. We always buy our bread, rolls and cakes from here when in the area. They also have a little shop in Brambledown farm shop.

OMG so we where visiting for the weekend and had to go to the bakery each day the cakes are absolutely fantastic. It’s a must if you are visiting Leysdown

Well what can I say, everything cooked and made here tastes fantastic mouthwatering cakes tastey filled baggettes fresh bread great customer service.

Friendly service, lovely gypsy rart, custard tart and pies. Really felt welcome and children enjoyed their sausage rolls.

Stopped off to buy a loaf if bread and a selection of cakes. Been in lots of times always pleased with what I've brought. Always fresh and plenty of choice you can even get a coffee

Proper home baked fare . Great if you have forgotten to pack a picknic . Short walk to the beach to eat it

But slightly overpriced,great range of bakery items , very nice coffee section ideal for locals to meet and socialise. You will not find any better place to find traditional bakery sweet indulgence.

Oh my if you are near this bakery I would definitely recommend that you visit. The cakes look so beautiful and yummy, I had a tart and it tasted lovely but it was a little too small but it Farly priced. My family each had something different but each said it tasted amazing and was a good price, I would definitely recommend the slab of bread pudding.

One of the best bakeries that I have been to. Their food is all very good and their cake are things that dreams are made of.

We used their shop in Leysdown for fresh rolls and cakes also had bacon rolls .

Great cream cakes, apple turnovers to die for. After a cycle around Leysdown-on-Sea the best way to reward yourself. Helpful staff, lots of room outside to enjoy a cake and hot beverage

Tasty and freshly made, the cakes here were so good that we picked up another bag full of doughnuts and cakes for our journey home! Saw this was recommended before our holiday, and I can see why.

There cakes and pies are excellent you must try the apple crumble and prices are great a must visit while in leysdown

Went here for some lunchtime snacks. Cakes and bread were fresh and reasonably priced. Staff were friendly. I used the takeaway service the cafe area seemed a little run down and was full of the usual “locals”

We had a selection of pastries (Steak/kidney pie, mince beef, Cornish pasty & sausage rolls) and cakes (bread pudding, apple turnover with fresh cream, jam doughnuts and gypsy tarts) all homemade!! It was like stepping back in time how bakeries used to be!! Great value for money too and lovely friendly staff too. We’ll be back no doubt.. Must say everything was really tasty even the jam doughnut (light and full of jam).

Unbelievable great food all sorts so will have to pop in but be warned your come out with more than you wanted.......lol

I visited Leysdown Bakery with my Family for a lunch to take to the beach. We had a variety of things including; Sausage Roll, Steak Pasty, Ham & Cheese Pasty, iced fingers and donuts. Pastries = amazing! This place should put Greggs out of business. Cakes soft and tasted very fresh. Would definately recommend and will be returning to this bakery whenever we return to Leysdown!

Walked past this 2times throughout the weekend and gave in today and brought some sausage rolls,belgium buns and a yum and well they are super fresh and tasty better than your high street greggs. Defiently go early as theres soo much choice in there, and they are of big size to so the price warrants it.

I always use Leysdown bakery from sandwiches for lunch to a quick cup of tea!! Great cake selection too

We bought breakfast rolls, fresh bread and cakes , very nice would highly recommend and it opens at 7am, stopped for afternoon tea which was very very nice , staff were very friendly and assertive and reasonable.

Popped in here this morning and got a couple of different things. All of which were nice. Service wasn’t the best, not friendly and wasn’t offered different paper bags / napkins etc. Food was nice.

Use this bakery a lot as I work close by, The ham and cheese slice is the best I have tasted and the chicken and mushroom pie is a gift from the pie gods.... Leysdown locals and holiday makers alike are blessed to have this gem on there doorstep

Paid another visit to Leysdown Bakers for some filled rolls could have stopped for a tea or coffee. Shop is very clean and bright rolls are made while you wait.

Our holiday park told us to go here and buy a cream cake, it'll be the best we've ever tasted, and they were right. The biggest choice of cakes I've ever seen, and they were amazing!!! So good we went back... Twice!!

Value for money and a cheap filler but not the greatest of bakeries. I wouldn't buy the coffee again as it wasn't very nice. Sausage rolls are fab as are the rolls, sandwiches and cakes. Staff always seem happy to help and the place is usually fairly busy so would imagine that's because it's reasonably priced with lots of choice

The best bakery on Sheppey when working in Leysdown i went there all the time to get a custard tart and a roll good prices for good quality food.

We moved to Warden bay back in March and have only just discovered this great bakery! The food is fantastic, great prices too.

nice bread and snacks and open for an earl breakfast, long time before the park restaurant is, big advantage as 9 am is stretching it more than a bit for breakfast.

Fantatsic cafe opens early to serve great breakfast. The shop is fantastic for cakes, savorys, bread and sandwiches .... a must go destination for any visitor wanting excellent food.

A great bakery. So much choice. Really good to see all the lovely scummy cakes lined up. The only problem was deciding which to choose!

Cakes & bread were amazing went there everyday to buy the cakes were much bigger then the average. Some of the cakes we havent seen for years you must go there.

Well what can I say, 8 counters of delicious food. It's no artisan patisserie but it's defiantly yummy. From fresh bloomers and tin loafs to doughnuts and cream cakes something for everyone. They have a hot counter with slices, bakes and rolls and a fresh sandwiches bit. Kids and I love the milk shakes too. Only down side is the big lip to enter shop means wheelchairs cannot go inside but it's so friendly here they will accommodate you

we are here on holiday and saw the bakery thought we would give it a go and wow what great cakes. actually the best cream cakes I've had in a long time and my children had donuts and they were so soft

This is a bakery I use constantly. The bread is lovely and the pies are full of meat and the pastry excellent. Cakes are wonderful and I have to stay off them! I would thoroughly recommend this shop and they have wagons in the markets too. Fantastic and good value
