Love the breakfast buffet and the added bonus of a quick game of pool afterwards

Tried to visit here 3 times over last 6 months each time turned away. 1st time short staffed kitchen closed 2nd time no food being served 3rd time no walk in bookings only all around 5pm.....so won't be a 4th.

Booked the back room for a party of 14 for my mum and dads 60th wedding anniversary. 8 of the party were having the carvery but when they went to get it they were told that there was only 1 of the 3 meats available which wasnt great as a couple of the family did not like ham. Would have been nice to know before going to get the carvery and then they could have chosen something else.

Came here on Sunday for food and drinks with friends and was greeted by the man behind the bar who took us to a table and explained how the ordering works. Staff where lovely really relaxed atmosphere we were made to feel welcome as soon as we walked through the door.

Cavery only had turkey left and hardly any veg i asked if there was more fresh was told no only turkey and goin to take an hour gravy tasted like flour my husband orderd a chicken bacon burger waited over 40 mins to get the wrong meal a tex mex burger then an other 40 for his orginal meal and was cold wont be returning

My personal favourite restaurant. I have been going to this place ever since I was a kid and I have to say that I am genuinely shocked by how consistent its been in terms of quality. Not only is the food amazing, with one of the best roast dinners you will ever experience, but the atmosphere is unmatched for me. Its quiet, cozy and has a family friendly feel to it. Also for what they offer the price is more than reasonable. There is more value for money here than any carvery I have ever been to. Whether you're here for the carvery or just a quiet drink you are guaranteed a relaxing time. I've been myself many times and have also been there with family on several occasions. We even celebrated our anniversary here more than once. I really hope they never change and never shut down. God Bless.

Decent carvery, but avoid the dry turkey.

Unfortunately when we arrived we were told that no other option on the menu was available except for the calvary. This was due to only two staff being on duty when there was supposed to be five members. The food was nice but unfortunately there was no gammon or beef left, no pigs in blankets. Yorkshire puddings weren't ready either. To improve all of the above - full staff, full food options available. I was disappointed with my visit

I so wanted to like this place, always passed by it, but never ventured in, as I thought it looked a tad dingy! After reading reviews, it sounded promising. Anyway, took my mum and sister last week for lunch to celebrate what would have been my dad's 90th birthday. Easy to find, plenty of parking spaces and very nice decor inside.....traditional. Apart from the carvery, the menu was quite good, although a bit skimpy for vegan diners, and prices were reasonable. The girl who took my order was lovely and chatty. Our soft drinks were served quickly. Forty minutes later, the same girl came to ask how our food was.....couldn't tell you, we haven't received it yet!!!! 5 minutes passed and our order arrived. Food looked ok, albeit a bit bland looking. Mac n Cheese was nice, Philadelphia Cheesy Fries was a tad sickly due to the cheese sauce ( thought it would've been actual melted cheese) Vegan Chicken burger was a let down, it was dry with a little relish and a bit of lettuce on a roll served with coldish chips! I actually think the order was sitting in the kitchen and was overlooked for some time. Although looking around at the other diners, their food looked lovely. I should've went with my first instinct and continued on to The Esquire, a little bit further along Great Western Road.....their vegan burger is fantastic!

Not up to much .We went for the carvery at 6.30pm so there was not much left.

21/07/2024 I've been here a few times and gave a good review once but have deleted will not be back, first of before ordering a traditional carvery bar staff should inform that there's no beef on, because I don't like gammon so could only have turkey, the gammon was much there of it so my husband only had turkey, the veg was dried up I only took carrots, the mash potato had black bits in it 🤮so only had roast pretty disgusting really after we had got our meal and tucked into what we had they proceeded to bring out a load of fresh, very annoyed we will not be back such a big let down, staff were not that welcoming, not sure if it's because different staff on duty but first time experiencing this anyway won't be back.

Came in for a few pint n food with mates and service from Jacqui was amazing.

After opting for a deal on main course and dessert,we were served the main meal but had to eventually go to the Bar to ask when we would be getting our dessert after waiting for fifteen minutes after finishing the main meal.We were told they hadn't realised we were to have the dessert.There were only six people having food and about another six people having only a drink so it shouldn't have been that hard to remember who ordered what food.The food itself was quite good (burger and chips) and the price was reasonable but the alcohol choices wasn't that great.

The staff on duty on the day I was in (2 weeks ago) were the friendliest of ANY establishment I've been in. Kudos. They all seemed very happy at their work and in harmony with each other. That can only mean good management in my opinion. So well done our female server was so lovely. We will definitely be back.

Went for some food yesterday in leven vally the staff did not know what was on the menu the food we got was bad wasted money on food that was very bad they take the money upfront if they didn't then I would have refused to pay never will I eat in the leven vally again

Took my mother who has dementia and alzheimer's here on her 77th Birthday with a party of 6. Staff couldnt have been anymore welcoming and accomadating. Even the Manager brought our cake out with her 77 candles lit and sang to her. Just made a special memory even more memorable. Thankyou 2 all staff at Drumchapel Leven valley over and above. The carvery that all 6 of us had was fab, absolutely delicious!

Forgot this carvery was opened and decided to pop in with my son for a quick lunch. There’s plenty of parking outside and all wheelchair accessible The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The food was lovely on both kids and carvery menu, and portions were huge on the brownies (yum!) will definitely be back 😊

Great place for a meal. Came for the carvery which has a great selection of vegetables to choose from. Would certainly recommend.

cracking carvery and pizzas are class

First of I will say the older lady that served us was lovely. Then it went down hill. Went up to get our carvery and was told turkey would be 10 minutes went back up no roast potatoes or Yorkshire puddings told roast potatoes would be 4 minutes then to be told it would be 15 minutes. No gravy . The place is an absolute joke spoke to the manager got a refund. 100% will not be back or recommend to anyone. And I will say staff didn't even seem bothered ppl where not happy . Yous need to sort staff and kitchen staff out .

Absolutely vile! Dry meat, cold carrots, rock hard cauliflower, burnt roast potatoes, very lumpy mash! There's a reason I've not been back to this place for 6 years and never will again! Carver was chopping meat rather than slicing. Don't think she knew how to use a carving knife! Honestly, place was empty for food, and theres good reason for that! if I could give it 0 stars I would! Just god awful!

The veggie carvery is fab and there are some nice veggie and vegan options on the menu, and there's a good children's menu and playpark :)

The Leven Valley, a nice wee restaurant bar for a day lunch or a dinner... Myself and my family are regulars and the staff are always very friendly, our regular server morgan is a lovely lassie and is always friendly and up for a laugh... this is a good place for children and the whole family.

I’m honestly gobsmacked at how pathetic the staff were with my visit today. First impressions were mediocre, could have been more pleasant but it’s no biggy. We order our food ( 2 carveries and 1 item off the menu). After getting our own carveries we were sitting for about 30 mins till I had to go up to the bar to question where my food was. By this time there was ONLY 3 tables in for food. No reason for the kitchen to be as slow. When I approached the bar question where my food was. I seen what looks like 2 managers sitting in the bar area with the punters and there feet up while the chef was standing behind the bar ( no hate on the chef, they were lovely and some nothing wrong ). It took this “Gavin” 5 mins to even stand up to ask what I was after. I then told him about my food not arriving and instead of giving me an update or apologising. He just walks off shouting and blaring. Worked in restaurants for many of years and seeing people who just like to see a business go down hill and not work up to standard is such a terrible thing to see. To add to insult, while typing this review out I overhear a staff member say “I love this song” then proceeds to turn up the music volume that turns up the whole restaurants volume where my table and another table could even hear each other talk. Absolutely shocking service in a place that used to be amazing. Nothing professional about them and no care in the world for customers. Been 30 mins since I started typing this and still haven’t got my plate of food yet. Speaks volumes. Whoever this “Gavin” is, shouldn’t be in a job in my opinion.

I recently dined at Leven Valley and had a fantastic experience. The burgers were delicious and paired perfectly with a cold beer. No staff paying attention ti the fact i waited over half an hour for a starter which was flung in the microwave at the last minute. Carvery dried out with practically nothing left. Will never go there again poor staff service and terrible food.

Abysmal. Have been drinking in this place for 20 odd years. It is going downhill rapidly. Ignored when standing at the bar, friends of staff get served before you. Can't get a carvery at 7 o clock. Not going back.

Popped in and so glad that we did. Food was delicious and all of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Colette behind the bar is so nice and goes right out of her way to help you. It was a pleasure to meet her. There is something for everyone on the menu and the Carvery is absolutely amazing 🤩.

My wife and I came today for first time in years. We both ordered the Simply Cheese Burger. It was the worst burger I've ever had. The white cheese on the base of the roll was like a slice of plastic which was inedible, so I scraped it off. The two burgers you get were tasteless, and the chips were so dry and bland, so I left most of them. The roll itself was sodden with the grease from the cheese. We won't be back !

Went mainly because of carvery offer. Stupidly we went on a Monday of first day of offer, late on. Wasn't a lot of choice in carvery, it had been very popular, obviously. However 3 grandchildren got plenty of turkey and sausages and were very happy. Other food we ordered was very good. Colette, who served us at bar was very friendly and helpful.

Greeted by lovely bar staff who went above and beyond throughout the visit. I had the bbq chicken burger and chips, excellent price on a Monday eve with 50% off all burgers. Very good value for money. My friend chose the carvery and really enjoyed it, the only negative was the lack of fresh meat on offer. Turkey was chosen which was great. The beef and gammon looked dried out and were about to be replenished. Veg plentiful and fresh. Will be back. Good sized car park and clean toilets. Wheelchair friendly and good accessibility to the disabled toilets.

Very good food and amazing service

Poor visit on Sunday. Clearly had a busy period and were short staffed. Was told beef would be 20 mins but no mention the gammon was running low. By the time the beef came out the gammon had run out and was told there was none left. But 5 mins later a gammon came out. Roast potatoes solid in the middle. Half the veg missing. Was given choc cake instead of brownie. Also restaurant staff member working in the kitchen in just a white hat polo top and shorts. The individual was also given the duty manager a hard time when she was clearly stressed.

Had a great wee meal and a couple of drinks ,Jackie and her staff were very polite ,we didn't have the carvery but it looked delicious, Jackie deserves a wine x

Was gutted to arrive at Leven valley this morning to find out you no longer do the buffet breakfast as this wasn’t advertised. Starving lol

We enjoyed our family meal at Leven Valley. All reasonably priced and good offers. Amy and Lewis looked after us well and managed to accommodate one of our allergies by tweaking one of the dishes without any fuss. Been a few times now, we will be returning again sometime soon :)

Mel looks after my dog George. What a good laugh we have every time I'm in. Been served by Amy a couple times and can't express how amazing the service was. No doubt I will continue to return to leven.

Overcooked fried eggs, batter on fish overcooked, carvery meat dried up.

Ordered on the app, 1 meal arrived after about 10 mins but nothing else, no drinks, no carvery ticket… (told order hadn’t gone through) by the time drinks came and carvery sorted, first meal cold, no forks on any of the tables, or serviettes or salt. Actually ordered the new set meal 2 courses but didn’t stay for paid desserts … place was quiet, miserable and staff were lounging around the bar area… beef was very fatty, inedible.. very dry Yorkshire puddings… avoid this place at all costs.

Being a midweek afternoon, the restaurant was quiet, which was what we were hoping for. The staff were courteous and efficient and we were directed to a table with no delay. The restaurant was clean and comfortable and ordering was straight forward. We opted to order at the bar rather than use the app. The food looked appetising when it arrived, with generous helpings. We were glad we opted not to have a starter as if we had we wouldn't have had room for what was to follow! . I had the gammon, egg and chips and was delighted to see the gammon had been freshly carved from a joint and there was plenty of it. The only minor quibble I might have has was that the peas were not very hot but that didn't really detract from my enjoyment of my meal. My husband had the scampi and chips and, again, there was a generous portion which he said was excellent. We both ordered dessert - apple pie for him, sticky toffee pudding for me - and they both went down a treat. Often when ordering sticky toffee pudding there is too much sauce which overwhelms the actual sponge but Leven valley got it just right. Overall, we were both delighted with the quality of the food and, on the whole, the service we received (we did have a rather long wait for our dessert but as we were pretty full after the main course it did give our food a chance to go down and for us to enjoy the atmosphere.) Will definitely be back.

Shouted at on arrival “be with ye in 2 mins guys- ye got a booking guys? Wits the name?” Was called guys at least 5 times before I eaten anything. Had to call out my name to someone half way up the bar - so much for privacy. Waitress food shamed someone leaving a half eaten pizza - no idea what a celebration it was for us they ate that much. I felt like I was distributing staff asking for cutlery which our table didn’t have, being told how the till works when taking my order - really don’t need to know. But if you want me to come do a shift I can - cause I now know… giving drink and food order for 11 people took 14 mins (got a text when I went up..) Long tables set up near door, cold draft, people bumping into chair to rush past… Food was ok, get what you pay for. Didn’t feel clean, dirty cloth lying about and reused next to us. Service is pretty poor, not a positive customer experience. I’m avoiding like the plague

Having been many times with no issues today visit was the worst ever barman was rude when I asked if my drink was a pint as ordered as it normally comes in pint glass. Got to carvery and there was no ham the only meat I eat was told one would be ready in a few mins so I waited. At service plate was cold meat delicious but veggies were tepid. On the whole a very disappointing visit. Also my receipt wasn't itemised as I would have expected. Poor service and tepid food I will certainly be looking for an alternative.

Out for Birthday lunch. Pleasant staff . Fresh piece of beef came out just before we got served so we never had off cuts. Veg nice and fresh. No complaints about food or service. Highly recommend if service like this all the time.

They always cancel the too good to go order right when I arrive to collect it, around 5-10 minutes after the beginning of the collection time, sometimes 10 minutes before the collection time; why wouldn't do it at least half an hour before the collection time so people don't waste time??? it's a shame there is no option to leave the review on the too good to go app

We have visited the Leven Valley around 5.00 p.m. twice in the past 3 weeks only to discover they were not serving carvery. We have been customers for many years and have never encountered this before. Had a look at the menu on the first visit but, quite frankly, it was very limited, so we left. Didn't even bother looking at the menu on the second occasion, just left.
