A pleasant breakfast spot in the park. The coffee, tea, pastries, etc. we got were all very good. We sat outside near the playground.

Great sausage roll and vegan sausage roll. Great spot, and it's really good that you can take dogs in.

Awful ! ordered toasted sandwiches 1 with tuna mayo and 1 with cheese and ham NO SALAD PLEASE on both toasties i emphasised no salad twice as i have a severe medical condition 1 flat white and a tea. i was given a wooden spoon with the table 2 in a glass bottle to identify our table and order, no point as the man delivering our order was floating about asking who the toasties were for. when they arrived both toasties were covered in salad on the plate and in the toastie they were not even a toasties they were ciabata bread and not what we had asked for , i politely said that i had requested no salad as i have medical condition and he rudely responded ITS NOT PAINT IT WILL COME OFF no apology and i explained why he said he had never heard of anyone in 14 years having an issue with salad! He then brought out just tuna in a ciabata and ham and cheese uncooked in a ciabata not toasted and still no apology i proceeded to take them back into the cafe to say that was not what i'd ordered and he started shouting GIVE HER HER MONEY BACK which was £18.10 for cold coffee and tea and not what we had asked for. i informed the man keep the money use it to go on a customer service course. I WILL NEVER BE BACK ...

Excellent wee place. Staff were friendly and the food was good. If I lived in the area id be here on a regular basis.

We came here just for a quick grab without any expectations but we have been served the best sausage roll and excellent cappuccino ever. Everyone was very kind and the place has various toys for young visitors. They also have some treats for the pets. Overall they have surprised us wonderfully.

There is something special about this little cafe. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming (even when they are busy). The food is delicious and great quality and the coffee is excellent. (Best cappuccino in the west end). The decor is cute and eclectic and there’s always a buzz with parents, dog walkers and locals. I make a point of popping in every time I pass. Never been disappointed yet.

Best vegan sausage roll I've ever had. So flavoursome and had whole chunks of veg in it, absolutely delish! Lovely friendly atmosphere.

My go to place when working any Wednesday- Sunday in the area. It’s pointless going anywhere else IMHO Home made sausage rolls with mustard- wonderful!!!! And nice coffee. An absolute gem.

I have read the reviews and cannot believe some of the hysterical rantings are succeeding in bringing down the rating of such a wee gem of a place. Visited again today to buy the phenomenal vegan sausage rolls. Arrived too early, was politely told they were still in the oven. I asked the female member of staff who was serving what time would be best to go back and she was very pleasant. Bought a box full to take home for the family. You really ought to try these if you haven't already. So tasty and full of flavour.

We had a lovely lunch here today. The roasted vegetables with avocado and hummus roll served with a side salad was really fresh and tasty. Plenty of tea in the pot too. We had two cups each. We followed it with a delicious and clearly homemade fruit scone with just a hint of cinnamon. There was really pleasant music playing in the café and the nice thing was that it wasn't too loud. It was just right and added to the lovely, relaxed atmosphere of the place. The café is in an unassuming little building next to the children's park. This really was a lovely and unexpected find. Yesterday we had lunch at the Garnet Hill Singl End café which I was really looking forward to after seeing it on Instagram. It was a real disappointment. Today's lunch at An Clachan beat it hands down for quality, taste and atmosphere. This is a real hidden gem 🥰

I don’t know if this lady is the owner but twice when I have been in now she is very unpleasant, looks down at u etc. Ordered 2 cakes for my kids and my son was laughing and playing ( typical toddler) and she rolled her eyes as if he was annoying her. Have been in with my father in law once before also and she was unpleasant, didn’t seem to like the fact people wanted to buy coffee from her place of work, it’s very strange!! So yeah, maybe if this lady changed her attitude then it would be a nice place to go as food and coffee is decent.

Loved it was there with the family with a wide range of taste preferences and intolerances found something for everyone they enjoyed. Thank you Barbara and Gary for always being welcoming... Even when very busy. Lovely to be back at KG park and our lovely yogi chai.

Don’t get me wrong, I love nothing more than supporting local businesses but I can’t stand to the chasm between what is promised and what is delivered. After a brisk walk on a crisp, bright February morning I found myself magnetically pulled in the direction of An Clachan cafe with its handsome frontage and friendly playpark out front. Fresh morning air like that always whets my appetite for one thing and one thing only - beanz. After asking for asking assurance from the (I hate to say it but) shrill woman serving me that the beanz were Heinz (my all time favourite beans) you can only imagine my HORROR when the said plate of food arrived. (I honestly am struggling to type this but I will persevere for the good of the Tripadvisor community.) I had no qualms with base of the meal (hearty sourdough generously buttered) but atop was the reason for me sitting and reliving this godawful experience. and here again I would like to reference the chasm between expectation and reality. Atop of the toast perched a single, pallid, turgid BEAN. ONE. BEAN.

The best vegan sausage roll I’ve ever had! Perfectly balanced with peppers and possibly dried porcini in a light pastry, served with a light slaw. The Dear green coffee (oatmeal latte), was outstanding! Together, they were slobbericiously satisfying. Anything less than 5 Stars would be in the words of Calimero “ an injustice “

Ok , so this isn’t haut cuisine but the food is basic and not too expensive . Great stop off if you are in the park with dogs ( v dog friendly ) and kids of any size. Plentiful supply of high chairs. Don’t be out off by the rather lugubrious owner who , underneath that stern affect , is actually quite friendly though it took me a few visits to work that out ! Lots of very nice looking cakes and scones for those that like that sort of thing. I’ll probably pop in regularly with the dog .

Splendido experience each and every time I visited. Since I was in town for work, not only did they provide delicious food, but friendly company and conversation when I visited. You don't get this kind of welcome in Milan even if you buy up the whole menu. And I got my first taste of Glasgow porridge. I regret I couldn't make it there my last day, as I will miss the place and its comforts until I return in March. Then my wife and I both can visit. Bravi!

Looking for a takeaway sandwich and coffee in the area of the park and this place shows on Trip Advisor. Perfect location to grab something and walk in the park. Lovely sandwich served in an open box with small side salad reasonably priced. Coffee was very good too. All came with friendly and efficient service. Thank you.

Waitress had an attitude, then they charged sit in price for a takeaway (£20 for a toastie and scrambled egg on toast)

Had a super day in the park with my friend .. the server here was super friendly with a beautiful pattern from Finland on her apron, the coffee was great, the lavender shortbread was delicious .. I will be back for more ..

Ordered a tea with a dash of oat milk. Was charged 2.50 then increased by 20p for the dash of milk alternative. I paid, but then said I felt a bit robbed at being charged 20p for a drop of milk, I appreciate if its a full cup, for a latte or whatever, but a teeny dash of milk in my tea for 20p was unfair. She dumped the change on the lid of my cup which was unhygenic, and said their loose leaf tea was expensive and I shouldn't have complained, and when I tried to explain it wasn't about the tea quality, it was about the undue milk charge, she told me to move on so she could serve someone else. Honestly so affronted and disappointed, all for supporting small business but not when a simple bit of feedback was dealt with so appallingly. Pppfffft.

Went in yesterday, they had a sign up 'no mask no entry' so I was anxious about going in. I was told by the owner to wear a mask. I told her I had a medical exemption. She turned and walked away from me making it clear that she was angry and got her husband to serve me. While he was serving me I suggested to him could their sign maybe mention 'except for medical exemptions' to allay anxiety? He actually flipped, became very aggressive shouting and saying as far as he's concerned NO-ONE should be medically exempt and did I know how many ppl are F*****g dying out there because of people like me not wearing a mask!! I was in shock. I went outside to join my husband who went in to have a word with him ( my husband is the least aggressive guy you'll ever meet) He didn't go inside the cafe as he had no mask with him but saw that the owner was at the back near the open back door so went round there to speak to him. He asked could he have a word please. Again the owner was in a state of anger and aggression and said to my husband, who is English " do you know what it means in Glasgow to ask a guy to go out the back door"? He was goading my husband for being English. My husband was shocked by his aggression and lack of self control. Fortunately I am able to speak up for myself but I feel so much for what others are going through who don't have the courage to speak up. Owners said I was being aggressive. I'm a retired nurse and I am not an aggressive person. Taking legal advice atm.

Tucked away in a corner of Kelvingrove park could be easy to miss but that would be a shame. A friendly cozy little family business. They open at 8:00 and have a nice breakfast menu. Or enjoy an excellent cappuccino with their truly superior scones.Closes at 4:00

Great wee place. Our favourite coffee and lunch stop in the area. Lovely staff, genuine home baking and a very tasty bacon roll. Love sitting outside in the park. It is busy at certain times as is popular but they are always friendly and as fast as they can be.

Excellent coffee, 5 of us plus 2 dogs, good soup, sausage roll (really a sausage Wellington it was so big) beautiful and tasty, the vegetarian breakfast impressed the vegetarian contingent. And all served with a smile! Wish it was closer to home. Highly recommended.

I'm shocked to see the comments from the owners. That is not how to react to genuine feedback from the very customers that afford them to "go on holiday and be concerned about the comments. Been twice, was giving a second chance as we all have bad days. This place is just under par and overpriced. Both times I have been, once early morning, once around 12ish, numerous basic items unavailable. Roll sausage a d egg please... No rolls left... No eggs, no coffee syrups, all sold out. Who is doing the stock take and orders? Completely agree about the staff. Couldn't care less. Rude, abrasive, and lazy from what I have seen. 4 staff on the second visit, 6 customers and yet waited a half hour for a sausage roll to be heated and a cup of tea brought out. The rest of us didn't eat as everything we asked for was sold out. I'm also horrified with the pigeons being allowed to wander in. We won't be back. We will share our experience.

Absolutely wonderfull place with seats indoors and outdoors. Right next to the playground and level acces at the back. Lovely food and delicious nutmeg scones. Very friendly staff and owner. Vegetarian options, cooked breakfast, sandwiches, cakes and salads. With local and/or organic products when possible. Good prices.

Thanks to Barbara and team we had a lovely surprise afternoon tea for my friend. We are regulars at the cafe after school so when I asked if we could arrange a surprise she was only to happy to help.What a lovely selection of sandwiches, scones and brownies we had as well as plenty for our kids too.Great quality food, home made with love at a great price and they always play great music. Thank you Barbara and team!

I usually go by the rule of “ if you can’t say anything nice don’t say anything at all” and everyone has off days .... but I have been here relatively regularly over 5 years as its close to work and every time I kick myself. The service is surly, the food is overpriced and even more so considering how bad it often is. Today I paid £4.25 for a takeaway “egg mayo ciabatta”. The ciabatta was not ciabatta, but an oval floury roll, there was no butter, a mean-spirited smear of egg and a couple of leaves of spinach / lettuce. I apologise if that sounds petty but it has happened time and again, and I keep hoping it will improve, But it doesn’tIt is a shame as it’s in a lovely location but I fear they take their captive audience of mums and dog walkers for granted. Considering the quality of food offered by other places a few minutes walk away I wouldn’t bother.

Ho apprezzato la musica, le riviste, le lucine, il personale gentile e il panino ripieno alle verdure! Atmosfera informale e familiare! Giudizio positivo!

Lovely wee cafe that I found by accident when exploring Kelvingrove Park with niece and nephew. Great food that filled up the bellies of two wee ones who needed re-fuelled after using nearby swing park. Soup was good too. Thanks also for reassurance that food was safe for my nephew, who has some allergies.

Durante mi paseo por Kelvingrove Park, pasé por esta linda y pequeña casa con una cafetería que me sorprendió por su sabrosa comida.

Desafortunadamente, me decepcionó mucho con mi experiencia en este café. No solo estaba la cocción seca, también lo estaba la señora. La forma en que habló con el personal y los clientes no era aceptable y me hizo sentir incómodo. La comida estaba bien, pero el espacio de preparación estaba extremadamente sucio (no estaba limpio). Es desafortunado ya que está en una ubicación privilegiada y posiblemente podría hacerlo bien. Sin embargo, ahora con la falta de personal amigable disponible, mis amigos y yo lo estaremos evitando.

Lugar perfecto para tomar café y tarta o almuerzo al aire libre en el sol. Gran desayuno escocés completo para enfrentarse a la resaca, super saludables almuerzos livianos y un bollo o tarta de frutas significa también! Siempre tome los amigos que vienen a vernos en Glasgow, de camino a la Galería Kelvingrove.

A menudo nos pasa este café mientras en el parque con nuestro perro, pero hoy decidí probarlo y nos alegramos de haberlo hecho. Teníamos Burritos y café, lo cual fue genial. Yo opté por vegetariano burrito mientras que mi esposo tenía chorizo burrito, ambos disfrutamos mucho de ellos y lo servían con una bonita ensalada. El café era perfecto y agradable fuerte y caliente! Tuvimos que sentarnos afuera porque teníamos nuestro hacer con nosotros lo que ya era un bien wa buen día seco.

A pleasant surprise, this is a big step up from any other park cafe I have been to. Loses a star as it's on the pricey side for coffee, sandwiches and cake but quality is good and tbh it's not excessive for the area.

Found this coffee shop in the park. The coffee was small but the bacon bap great. Seems popular with the local Mums. Would go again if in the area.

He visitado el café en numerosas ocasiones, mientras que con la familia o pasear al perro, y cada vez es un cuento de dos partes. En el lado positivo, la comida es buena y cocinados a la orden y siempre hay agua disponible para el perro.

This cafe has a lovely atmosphere. It is dog friendly and serves the most delicious, gluten free bread which is home-made . I very stupidly approached the cafe from the side which has steps up to the door. One of the staff came out to help me - which was extremely kind . There is an entrance on the other side which is completely level. There was a good choice of gf, vegetarian things to eat. I had the hummus with salad plate, with the lovely bread. The hummus tasted home-made too. The dog was brought a selection of dog biscuits, which she thoroughly enjoyed. I really enjoyed my lunch here.

Lovely wee café in the park. By a play area so handy for those with kids in need of a caffeine fix. Seating outside and bowls of water for dogs. Homemade cake and some veggie and vegan options - I had a houmous, roast veg and avocado sandwich that was lovely

Rude lady running this cafe has absolutely no customer service and should consider changing career. The food is not at all special and this cafe would not remain open if it had any competition in the park. Just because you have a captive audience doesn't mean you shouldn't make the effort.

Good coffee, food and selection of cakes. A great place for a break with the little one as it overlooks the playground.

Very friendly but unorganised cafe serving ovepriced, amateurish and overpriced food. The scones are regularly flat, rock hard/burnt. It is evident that an untrained cook is in the kitchen. The coffee is wildly expensive. I expect the rent is high and I really wouldn't mind paying a premium for the lovely location if the quality was good; it is not hard to make a good scone.

We stopped off as a family group during a rain shower. The café was busy, but the quality of food and drink made up for it being standing room only until the Weather broke, and the staff wiped down the tables and chairs outside.

I stumbled accross this place by accident and was pleasently surprised! Its a quaint wee cafe situated in the beautiful Kelvingrove park and right next to a playpark which is great for the kids. A really bubbly atmosphere and the staff were fantastic, smiling and incredibly sweet to all including children. All in all a real gem of a find and I will definetly be returning!

Been twice this summer for lunch - both times ordered one of the veggie options (vegetable burrito and a humus/roasted veg sandwich) and the food was excellent. Freshly prepared and generous portions. Coffees good too. The seating is a bit basic - random tables and chairs scattered outside - and it can get busy if the weather is good but still a nice place to stop.

Located in a quiet corner of Kelvingrove Park, An Clachan Cafe is a small tea room/cafe located towards the city center side of the park.It has a large childrens play area outside of it, so would imagine in summer it is very popular with families who are out enjoying the good weather, while they have a coffee when the kids are playing on the swings and slides.Nice chilled out vibe to the place that is good to hang around.The food looks really tasty, especially the Sausage Rolls which are as thick as your arm and come with a really nice mustard coleslaw and salad.My one gripe is I found the coffee to be far to weak for my taste..... ordered a large late, and felt like I had gulped it down fully with just two sips.All in all, nice cafe, but not really worth going out of your way for.

Ordered a Bacon, Brie and Cranberry panini £4.95 Unfortunately they'd run out of cranberry and so the panini was presented to me without and 20p offered as compensation for one of the three ingredients being missing. I didn't know what to say or where to look! ?

Great homemade food in beautiful surroundings! This was my first visit to the cafe and it'll certainly not be my last!

Unfriendly service and loooong wait for sandwiches. Could be so much better if run like a business!! Great location. What a waste!

Whoever owns this place needs to sort their staff out.Had a wee family day out and stopped at the park for the kids to play. My mother in law went to get a tea to take away and was given a small paper cup with a tea bag half filled with hot water. When she asked for it to be filled up, she got the water with a scowl from the female staff member. When she asked for a lid, she got a scowl and a lid chucked down on the counter.£2.25.

Had lunch outside at this small cafe in Kelvingrove Park on a sunny spring day. A lovely family-friendly setting with plenty of room for prams and a play park opposite. You have to order inside at the counter, which is not ideal with a small child in tow, but not a serious problem. However, the woman serving us was surly and unsmiling, and made no apologies for the lack of menu items left for lunch. Our choices which were served from the meagre selection were completely unsatisfactory - cold scrambled egg served in a soggy roll and a burrito which appeared to be mostly comprised of creme fraise. Very poor quality considering the relatively high prices. Clearly survives on its setting!

To be fair the man on the till was nice, greeted with a smile and all was well until he cut the last slice of lemon drizzle cake in half and charged me full price for a tiny little clump of cake to share with friends. The woman on coffee however does not know the meaning of customer service or how to even fake a smile in a family orientated cafe. I thanked her for my coffee although I stood there for about ten minutes hearing her shriek out the orders and repeat them rapidly if a mother wasn't faster than 5seconds to drop her child and pick up her drinks. Was also a bit gutted about there being no food available at 2.30 in the afternoon? Not pleased.
