Blane Valley in Glasgow City

Fue el martes 15 a las 12. 30 , el pub estaba aproximadamente un tercio lleno . Sentado en una mesa esperando a un amigo, la camarera me pidió que me moviera a una mesa más pequeña cerca de la puerta, pero le dije que era demasiado calado, dijo que estaban esperando una multitud de clientes, señalé que no había avisos de reserva. Me disgusté y me fui, después de haber estado allí muchas veces con mi marido y amigos me quedé muy decepcionado y molesto. No más visitas para mí y he pasado esto a amigos y familiares.

Karaoke Friday night worth a visit

A nice traditional pub with good beers. Didn't have food but it looked good at a reasonable price.

We just walked in by chance to their Friday karaoke and it was excellent! The host was superb, a great singer and entertainer! There were also so so many fun performers/singers. Would 100% recommend. Also v lgbt friendly

Decent wee traditional boozer. Attentive staff, and decent prices (under £5 for a pint of Tennants Lager) Didn't have food so can't comment. I'd you're looking for a real Scottish pub as opposed to a trendy bar I'd recommend this place.

Myself, hubby and our friends were there Saturday night. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. A very enjoyable Saturday night.

Love this place- went recently after about a 10 year absence but the quality and service hasn’t diminished- a cheery welcome and never ending smile was ever present- even people who couldn’t get a meal because it was so busy never said a bad word about it- it was like a compliment- anyhoo, went on for 2 large glasses of white wine, and got what felt like 2 Jeroboams of the good stuff - absolutely no hassle in those establishment- leave the local hatred behind- just good people getting together to enjoy good times - long live The Valley of the Blane! X

A good original Glasgow ‘pub’. Quality food and not expensive

I love this place The food is always home cooked and you can see the chef cooking away Always fresh,and lovely The bar staff and ambience are great too, It would benefit from entertaining but I don't think it's big enough if honest great bar 👍👍👍

Popped in for lunch. Service was second to none, food was really good and reasonably priced. For a pub lunch I wouldn't hesitate to return.

Estaba alojado en el apartamento sobre la carretera y apareció aquí. El personal era muy amable y la comida era excelente. Las porciones eran enormes y una gran relación calidad-precio. Sin duda comería aquí de nuevo, pero recomendaría reservar ya que casi todas las mesas estaban reservadas

The food is always good at this pub and is great value for money

Came home from holiday and you just need some good plain homemade food right? We did exactly this . Mince and tatties. Steak pie with mashed tatties. Brown sauce. Heaven.

Our first pub in Glasgow. The waitress was great but the menu is a bit bare when it comes to gluten free options.

My daughter Laura and I tried out blane valley in glassford st yesterday and we're so happy we did as I had soup fish and chips and salad and choc fudge cake Laura had chicken goujons and chips plus we had 2 bottles of rose wine and it was delicious all for £60 so give it a try you won't be disappointed.

Visité con mi amigo para mi almuerzo de cumpleaños después de no estar en un tiempo. Cuando llegamos, Margaret, que nos recordaba de visitas anteriores, vino y nos dio su cálida bienvenida habitual. Pedimos nuestra comida habitual de sopa, pakora, bistec pastel y pescado y toda la comida era fantástica, caliente y muy sabroso. Durante toda la comida Margaret se pasaba por aquí para charlar y tener bromas, quiero decir que nuestra preferencia hubiera sido la otra chica con la que trabaja pero supongo que Margaret lo haría, jajaja. Gracias por una gran visita y volveremos pronto.

The bartender looked angry all the time and showed a bad mood. The service was because of the bartender cold and basically non existent. The atmosphere was kinda okay, but looked more like something between a bar and a cafe.

Los baños de señoras son asquerosos, dos baños... sin cerraduras en ninguna puerta y están sucios. Al permitir que los clientes vapearan, cuando le pregunté a un miembro del personal si estaba permitido vapear, me informaron que sí.

Food was disappointing, oven chips, frozen veg and a look warm steak pie, breaded haddock also disappointing the plus side the service from the staff was brilliant would I return probably not

Blane Valley came highly recommended by the lovely lady who works in Bo Peeps so we went along after hearing the words home made and steak pie. We were seen quickly and although neither of us had been in before and we weren't sure how to order food the lady who served me our drinks explained that they take the menus across. A minute later a tall girl with long blonde hair took the menus over and we couldn't believe the prices-very reasonable-and my partner had his heart set on the steak pie. I had the breaded haddock and both were absolutely top notch. Proper home made steak pie served with mashed potatoes and mixed veg-you could have boiled tatties or chips. Hand on heart this was one of THE nicest meals we've had and the service was quick and efficient too. The lady who originally served me had short blonde hair and both girls worked their socks off. We then decided to have jam sponge pudding and custard and we both died and went to heaven! For two main courses two substantial puddings and two soft drinks the bill came in at under £30. 1000000% praise to the chef and two bar staff. The pub and toilets were sparkling and they'd a good varied menu. While I went up to pay one customer was enjoying the home made soup and it looked gorgeous. Everyone's plates looked extremely tasty and I'd food envy! One lady told me that the food was renowned for being just like your mother made and suggested the mince and tatties as its legendary! High praise indeed!

Este pub es el mejor. Personal amable y enormes cantidades de comida. Tomamos el picadillo y las chuletas (puré de papas) una noche y Steak Pie otra noche. Las comidas que pedimos eran la porción pequeña, pero eran más de lo que podía comer.

Great tradition Bar Food in a very relaxed atmosphere, soup of the day was excellent followed by a great steak pie and chips, well worth the money of £8.99 for the two courses. Staff were also excellent and meals were served hot and in very quick. Keep up the good work, be back soon.

Great wee find in Glasgow City centre. Food was really good and exceptional value for money. We didn't reserve a table,next time we will. Didn't have to wait too long to get a table. Definitely will be visiting again

Gross...rude staff..inappropriate language..there's a time and place for staff cursing ..certainly not whilst talking to other staff members over the bar..unpleasant atmosphere..food..seemed to be generic..probably frozen for the majority of dishes I saw..bland ..unappetising..would never go back even if was free!..

Presently in Blane Valley and so disappointed that staff members are sitting inside vaping, not pleasant for paying customers, so so disappointingly, so sorry for the owners. 😞😞

This is a real gem of a pub. My friend and I went for lunch and were not disappointed . Good holesome made food and the staff were just lovely. We could not believe how reasonable the prices were. We will definately be back and We would say try it.

Popped in on way by , we got ourselves seated had to ask for menu, ordered our lunch, steak pie for myself, chicken tenders for my wife, both of us were more than satisfied with our meals.

Food is really good. Decided to stay on for Saturday night karaoke. It was abundantly clear the presenter is catering only to the local clientele. Quite a cliquish pub at night. But during the day good and staff are fab.

Hi always come here when staying in Glasgow for a few nights, my husband & I were here on Thursday night for some lovely food, drinks & bottle of wine, everything was good until the bar maids changed @ 6.00pm, the girl that came on with long hair & glasses I’m sure you know who you employ & who she is well her language is disgusting, she was talking with the guys standing @ the bar & swearing loudly, I am not a prude but don’t expect to hear this while having a quiet drink, there was another couple there as well so we weren’t the only ones to put up this behaviour, I’m sure if it was me that speaking like that then I would be told off, I’m glad I paid my bill before the other staff left as I certainly wouldn’t be leaving her any tip apart from wash your mouth out with soap!!!!

Best time in Glasgow ever. Saturday night karaoke was the best . Most diverse, friendly,and fun pub we’ve been to in Glasgow. Beer prices were very reasonable.

Friendly bar with excellent beer and great steak pie. Mags was a great host. A bit surreal on the day we visited as the local area was restricted because it was being set up for filming of Batwoman or so we were told. Lots of cranes, vehicles and road closures.

Place was spotless gents toilets clean. The meal that both my wife and myself was 2 course at £7.50 excellent would recommend it to anynone.

Excellent wee place for some grub and very nice bar staff, the cost of a pint is a bit pricey at 3.95 but great food prices and cooked fresh.

We stumbled across this pub by accident, we went in and the lad behind the bar with a mask on checked us in, he lead us to a table and took our drink orders, the 2 pints of Hophouse 13 were perfect! we ordered a further 2 drinks no hassle at all, the barman was really friendly with us, It is probably one of the cleanest pubs I've ever been in, the toilets were gleaming, next time we visit Glasgow we'll be heading straight back to here :-)
