Very good food, the only disappointing thing is they rejected usage of my Groupon voucher on Mother’s Day even though the voucher clearly says I can use any day and allowed me to make a booking

Great food we ordered a takeaway and it was delicious and delivered piping hot. We didn't wait more than 20 minutes. The lamb rice was so tasty

My husband and I visited using a Groupon voucher. Staff friendly and efficient on a busy Sunday early evening. I had a pide and my husband a marinated lamb dish - both came with Turkish bread and salads and both were of generous portion size and very tasty. The outside does not reflect the nice restaurant inside. Well worth a visit.

I have been here for lunch twice for the past 2 months using Groupon voucher. It is such a good value for money Food is big portion good quality meat grilled to perfection and tasty Service is very good waitress polite and I had been well look after. I will definitely come back for sure.

My favourite local Turkish, been coming here for years. Excellent pide, fresh salads and the the kisir is always tasty.

After ordering the meal, we were the only people in the place at 5.55pm we waited and observed that the counter was extremely busy with deliveries. Asked staff why the long wait and told the dish was in the oven. It was mixed fish with cheese topping. The mixed fish was not, it was only salmon with 3 prawns, the cheese was sparse. No flavour whatsover. So dipappointing after waiting until 6.50 for the meal to appear.

Great service. Authentic turkish food, with lots of choice. Would visit again. Staff were very helpful regarding my gluten intolerance. Very reasonably priced.

I ordered food as I was working late that night. When I open the package I got the ones in the.picture, they gave me left over food instead of mix kebab. Additionally, the chicken was plain without any flavour. Worse ever kebab in my entire life.

We’ve ordered quite a few takeaways from here since moving to the area and they’ve always been amazing, really fresh and with plenty of salad on the side. We really like the vegetarian options but the mix grill is also really nice. Food always arrives warm and quick from when you order. We had an issue tonight with the food arriving earlier than expected, meant to be here for 7pm but arrived at 5:30pm. It was too early for us to eat and we were busy so called to say that they had made a mistake. The restaurant apologised and delivered the same order at the correct time without making a fuss. This was really nice of them so will definitely continue eating here. I really recommend this place to anyone that loves really good Turkish food.

After a long time away I was welcomed back here on Sunday, I felt like a returning friend. The food is excellent, the meat cooked just right, the service outstanding, anyone and everyone can eat here, whether you are by yourself or with a group. The portions are large the chicken and lamb shish dishes are good. The deserts are divine.

All I wanted was some king prawns but instead I had to watch a lady eat my diner! Not only is that bad enough but she left half her king prawns which didn’t sit well with me. They had given to my dinner to someone else and peer pressured me into eating a pile of fish. Got a free beer out of it so I could think of worse scenarios, still a bit sh*t though isn’t it. Personally don’t even want to give a star but beggers can’t be choosers

We have recently used deliveroo twice to order Turkish food from Levante restaurant. Both times it has been delicious! The chicken shish was so tender and the Greek salad fantastic. Great portions and nice salad, bread and dips on the side. Would definitely recommend.

Just had a great takeaway lunch from Levante. My wife is Turkish so we know good Turkish food, this was delicious. Generous portions of good quality meat, fresh salad. My particular favourite was the aubergine cold Meze starter - fantastic. Only thing I would improve is the Ayran! Freshly made Ayran can't be beat and we didn't love the bottles we were delivered. Everything else great, would highly recommend

We were late to the Levante party but now we've finally dined there we can thoroughly recommend it. Wonderful falafel, delicious bread, generous portions and smiling service. Love it.

Esta vez pedimos ezme, que es una salsa picante, lahmacun es cordero en un pan plano para comenzar y compartió la parrilla de mezcla de lavante. Un poco de hummus iría bien. Todo era tan fresco y sabroso. Porciones generosas. Demasiada comida para dos. El personal es amigable. Siempre sirven una buena ensalada con las comidas. Creo que la gente pasa por este lugar porque está un poco oscuro al frente. Te recomiendo que entres y lo pruebes.

Estoy muy decepcionado con este restaurante, el artículo que falta de orden, la calidad de la ensalada era horrible y la comida estaba fría. El tamaño de la porción de la ensalada era tan pequeño que tuve dos caídas en la boca y desapareció y tenía un tomate picado del tamaño de una pieza de cinco peniques. Intenté llamar al restaurante sin respuesta y cuando terminé me colgaban. He estado viniendo a este restaurante durante años y nunca me han decepcionado, así que no entiendo lo que sucedió ese día.

One point less for the arrogant guy at the entrance. Luckily he was not our waiter. Good food, honest price, nice place (one of my favourite in London, wish they make the mutton kebab). Love it as usual

Service was very good and everyone was friendly. As usual in Turkish restaurants when you sit you down for a meal you get free bread. Also got olives.Main meal I got the chicken shish. It was ok. Decent size portion but not that flavourful. I also got the haloumi cheese which was quite nice.Overall this was an ok stop but i will stick to north London Turkish restaurants in the future.

A well known Turkish restaurant, used by mainly locals, very good food, special deals, takeaway delivery. The food is freshly cooked, served with bread and salad if you get the lunchtime meal option. Great service, very popular with locals and visitors alike, good for children and families. They make you very welcome. Wines and beers are good too. A great place to go after a shopping trip and for evening dining too. Well worth a visit. Good value.

Delicious food and excellent service.sometimes they give you free wine or 15% off. There is a trampoline and bouncy castle for the kids .we loved it and went 4 times in 10days.

Visited this restaurant on the back of some good previous reviews on TripAdvisor. Was not disappointed. The food was excellent, freshly prepared and plenty of it. The staff was knowledgeable, attentive and helped with recommendation. Bonus: my daughter who is quite a fussy eater really loved the food. Will be returning again if nearby.

(pedimos una comida con cuscús pero recibimos con arroz hervido. We had a family dinner here on a Friday evening. The food is excellent. The ambiance is warm and inviting. The belly dancers are talented. It all adds up to a wonderful and enchanting evening. There are other places in London where the food is equally good but for a total package Levante is near perfect.

Went to Levante on a friends recco and boy I loved it. Had a long day at work and had built up a good appetite and the food just hit the spot. We ordered a couple of efes beer, hummus, lamb doner and Adana kebabs. All the dishes were tasty and flavourful !! Wrapped up the meal with some Baklava and sekerpare and man I was in seventh heaven !! It felt that now a forklift was required to transport me back home !! Had a great evening - Highly recommend it !!

I would highly recommend visiting Levante. I visited here with my family when we were staying in Lewisham and we were all very impressed; the food was very tasty and reasonably priced. I'd recommend ordering for starter - The Humus Kavurma, Haloumi & Sigara Boregi and for main, the Lamb Shish, Chicken Shish or Mixed Kebab. I would definitely go back again.

Between myself, my Wife and our 4 year old, we always leave well fed and satisfied. We often ate here when our Son was a bit younger; he'd make a horrendous mess around his high chair. Staff were very accommodating and didn't make us feel uncomfortable about it. The owner/manager is always welcoming, often greeting regulars with a handshake and complementary Turkish tea.Great value for money. Our bill is usually £25-30 pounds.

Average kebab restaurant, nothing special about the food. It's not bad but equally it is not great either. If you are hungry and passing by it is an option. 3 large kebabs to take away 22.50.

Excellent food, very generous portions, good service and an all round top notch local business. Very good pricing as well. Lewisham is often not great for decent food but this place is a stand out and I just wish I'd been there before now!

Levante Restaurant has been a favourite haunt in Lewisham for nearly 10 years. They deserve the revisits for courtesy to clients - whatever shape or form they come in. The food hasn't varied in quality during the time I have eaten here - excellent every time and intensely palatable. They score highly on all the dishes I have been served.Well done to them!

I visited this restaurant as I fancied a treat and this place has always been good to me during many visits with all my work colleagues. I ordered the lamb donor with chips instead of rice, I happily waited for 10mins or so for this to be prepared and once it had they had given me rice and not chips I explained this and the chef shouted down the restaurant for some chips, I walked down to pay whilst I waited explained the situation to the waiting staff but was still charged for both! (Great) a further 10mins past and no chips until the waiter who had clearly forgotten about me saw me sat at the front door shouted through the restaurant and like Magic the chips appeared and I was handed them. I pointed out they had still given me rice and I didn't want them so the lamb was scrapped off the top of the rice and put into another box with the chips.The dish lacked both the portion size and accompanying condiments as before (garlic & chilli sauce) these made the meal previously a real winner but now just a massive loss for customer service and quality of food.I shall be passing this on to the rest of the office so somebody else doesn't experience what I had to!

I was reccomend to try Turkish pizza get some of the fresh humus the salad too then you are set for a fantastic snack The sea bass is good too or the levante special is worth a try The staff are friendly and the owner is great too we were almost finished and noticed people queuing for seats I apologised and said we won't be long he smiled and said please don't worry take your time that comment made our evening and I go the this restaurant frequently

Had a good meal in the Levant on a Sunday evening. We had booked for a family gathering and there were five of us, one with severe allergies and in a large electric wheelchair. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, clearing a path for the chair in this small and tightly packed wheelchair and re-arranging a table. When we booked one of member of staff took personal responsibility for making sure that all allergies were accommodated and we had no problems. We arriaved for an early meal and by the time we left, two hours later, the restaurant was packed. The char-grilled vegetables were a little oily but the Sac Tava was absolutely excellent and piping hot. Others enjoyed Greek salad, lamb kebabs and the Levante vegetarian special. All in all it was a restaurant worth visiting.

Food was amazing so well with a visit. Although quite a few weirdos were dining and kids in all white suits seemed to be a recurrent theme. Chicken wings are best thing on menu and should be consumed every time.

The lamb is so soft and yummy!! The cold and hot meze's are tasty and the mains are delicious. The staff are so friendly and always do their best to make the customers happy. I really like the fact that my toddler son is welcomed, they interact with him. They bring his food out first knowing he can't wait which means a lot to a mother. Really can't fault this place. The pricing is fantastic.

Love this place!We are always welcomed warmly, we now know the staff who are amazing and the food is simply the best. Never had a bad meal and have been a lot. The meze is brilliant, the meat is awesome and I love the grilled cheese. Very well priced and, in my opinion, better than the local rival on Lewisham Way. Will always be going back! I had made a reservation online but called half and hour later to confirm they had received the booking because we wanted the table in about an hour and a half's time, so considering the short notice and there were going to be 10 of us (mixed adults and children) I wanted to just double check. I was glad they managed to confirm the online reservation and was very helpful and friendly with regards to parking arrangements. Upon arrival, the same person I spoke to on the phone greeted us with a very warm welcome. While we did get our drinks quite quickly after arriving (the restaurant was quite empty at that point) we did not get the usual complimentary bread and dipping sauces at the start (chilli and I think the other sauce may have been yoghurt) but we didn't bother asking for it whilst waiting for our meal to arrive however, we did want the sauces for our meal. Once our meal had arrived we flagged down the waitress to ask for the sauces and she examined our table and looked surprised that we did not receive the bread at the start which to us would have been a bit obvious considering that we were sat in the middle of a small restaurant where they had walked passed regularly. The table next to us received their bread and sauces after their drinks arrived so the service was a not consistent. It did get a little busy once our meal had arrived but it wasn't a full house yet no one came to ask us if we wanted any more drinks. Another gripe was that my sister ordered a grilled halloumi cheese but they had clearly forgotten about it and she had to ask them for it. It arrived half way through our meal and when I tried a small piece, it was way too salty. A few of us tried it and agreed. We have had halloumi cheese on many occasions and it had never been that salty before. Overall, staff are friendly and the food is OK. We all got their mixed grill special for 2 each (there were 3 couples as well as kids) which included mixed grill meat, rice, salad and chips and there were plenty of food. However, I don't think I will be returning anytime soon due to the inconsistent service we received and as friendly as they were it was way too disorganised for a relaxing meal that was I was looking for with staff running around looking stressed.

We visited lewisham for a wedding and had never been before. This restaurant was such a find! Authentic food, decor, music and friendly service. Was so hard to choose what to have as we sat near the open cooking area and the smells of bbq'ing meat and fish was so tantalising! We ended up choosing the lamb and fish guvec, both divine. We took our baklava away with us and had it for breakfast. If we are ever back in lewisham, we would visit again without a doubt.

The title says it all! You walk in to see the Chef busily cooking an amazing array of food. The menu is great with a good selection of Mediterranean food. I have now been several times and the food, service and price have all been excellent. Can't recommend it enough!

Went today to have lamb shish. But seeing the menu i started with lamacun ... its a Turkish pizza then to follow we ordered lamb shish when my dinner came it look so nice it had salad on the side with rice. The lamb shish tasted out of this world never eaten lamb shish like this before it was so soft tender and yummy. We then finished our meal and the waiter ask if we would have a tea so we did, when the tea arrived they gave us a dessert called seker perar it was baked there omg it was so nice. Just like to say that the food here is great this is the 3rd time been here and once again I was very happy with ... food, staff, and value. See you again very soon.

I've been travelling through US, Canada, Australia and now Europe. I'd move here just for the level of service, atmosphere and tasty food. If you are in the area near Lewisham station (DLR train line) you must check this place out. I had the perfectly cooked British lamb chops (4) with Turkish seasoning that came with a refreshing simple salad and Turkish rice. Turkish rice pudding was perfect for dessert because I don't have a sweet tooth. Service was excellent but an exceptional stand out hospitality was from Sami whose uncle owns the restaurant. I'm staying in the area and already planning to try out other dishes on the menu. Turkish black tea was also on the house.

Tasty food, fair prices and great service! The atmosphere inside is lovely. It makes you forget you're in Lewisham, which is a plus.

Been coming here for many years. My family and friends all enjoy the food and experience. They cater for large groups too. Food of its type is still the best around and best value for money even though a lot of new restaurants of its kind are springing up they do not compare. Staff are always friendly and accommodating. My boyfriend & I wanted to dine out on New Year's Eve and everywhere in the O2 Greenwich/ Blackheath were fully booked. A friend recommended Levante and it was brilliant. Fantastic food, service & atmosphere (if you don't mind kids/ families).

Used to visit here when still working over a year ago. Met up with some old work colleagues to find that the food is still as good as it always was and the welcome from all the staff was as warm as ever. Good value and great atmosphere.

I discover this restaurant during my shopping in Lewisham.As I am a lover Turkish food this is a perfect place to have a lunch, dinner or even stop shortly for having a cup of Turkish tea.Everything is tasty.

It may not be in the best location I have been to, nor is it the swisest restaurant but boy was the Turkish food and wine brilliant. All underpinned by good, friendly service and a very pleasant ambience. Thanks to all and see you very soon. If you haven't been I urge you to do so.

I have visited this restaurant on four occasions over three years. Without fail the staff have been attentive, the food superb and perfectly cooked and the place is always busy. Will continue to return whenever I can. Well recommended!

I love Turkish food and have had it in a few places around London. This one is by far the best. The fact that they do proper warm fresh Turkish bread instead of the usual supermarket pitta - this alone would put it head and shoulders above the rest for me - but the rest of the food is also great and very reasonably priced. We struggle to spend more than £15 per person

after a futher 3 visits,with various friends from miles away,this cafe-style restaurant had continued its fairly priced yet excellent tasting turkish food.freshly cooked ,a leisurely atmosphere when not too busy,i most recently enjoyed a 3hour lunch with a re-visiting friend ,who asked to eat here.i willingly agreed .its also the only place i drink turkish wine outside of turkey itself.bravo everyone from chefs to staff

The food here is just fantastic. I've eaten in the reaturant, had takeaway and on each occassion the quality never fails. The service in the restaurant is attentive and welcoming. Cannt fault them at all!

I found Levante on Trip Advisor when looking for simple food around Lewisham, and the reviews were good. A 10 minute walk from the train station, and it looks like a simple cafe from the outside.Inside, the restaurant stretches back quite a way, with the kitchen totally open at the front. Decor is plain, and it certainly isn't posh, but all the staff were really friendly and welcoming.I had meatballs, followed by a lamb shish kebab. Both were really tasty and good sized portions. Price was very reasonable.I'll be going back.

A rainy Sunday and the usual Italian nearby was shut so we took a gamble on the nearby LEVANTE. On entering, every one welcomed us and the food display made my mouth water. The menu is varied and even includes Turkish Piza which we did not know existed. They looked good too. Plus Kebabs galore. We all had different dishes except my partner and me because we could not resist the oven cooked lamb dish. Cant pronounce the name of it, but was was great. Drinks great also. Service excellent and friendly. Comfy and quite a big dining room. They obliged us with hot water for the Babies bottle with no problem at all. Another visit looms ahead. Recommended highly. The man in charge speaks lots of languages so no problems conversing for most Europeans.

i was surprised when my friend rang and invited me to 'lunch' is what ,to me ,is a local restaurant and for him an hour on public transport,from the other side of the thames.the usual helpful friendly staff waited tilled we finished our white wines and starters before taking our main order.it was a very,very leisurely lunch.....the food ,freshly cooked to order was as usual excellent with a crisp salad and was matched with a robust turkish red wine,which i never see other than in this restaurant.i keep returning here purely because of the taste and quality of their kebabs.

The place doesn't really look appealing from outside, but once you enter you will be amazed! The music, the style and the friendly staff makes you feel very welcomed and creates a great atmosphere. The food is just perfect! Big portions and everything is so tasty. Great value. With £15 you can eat a lot!

So we visited Levante a few months back, nevertheless we would like to leave some feedback. The food quality is very good. We certainly had no complaints about the portions, you will definitely leave pretty full up. The decor is not opulent but it is not off putting either. Staff are friendly enough, but lets not forget this is essentially a glorified Kebab Shop.Overall, good quality food and well portioned. Definitely give it a try if you are in the area but do not try to make a lavish evening of it. Does what it says on the tin.

Unpretentious, with formica tables and &#039;flat&#039; lighting - BUT, the Turkish food here is piping hot and delicious. We four shared a large meze - honesty terrific; the Levante&#039;s own bread etc. remarkably fresh and tasty, including best taramasalata and humus tasted for years, stuffed vine leaves, etc all good. My main: dish of the day: - lamb and aubergines &amp; rice, with very fresh and crunchy side salad. Friend 2 had Ispanak Peynirli - hot spinach with cheddar &amp; feta cheeses on Turkish bread - superb. Friend 3 enjoyed orman guvec: diced lamb casserole, with green peas, carrot, charleston pepper, potato cubes in yummy sauce. Number 4 feasted on calamara. Soft honeyed cakes and Turkish coffee excellent. Our Macedonian waitress was also special

We have been there several times. The food is of an adequate standard but good value for the price. The turkish menu has some interesting items. WE liked the haaoumi and hummous.There is a wide selection but I found some of the sauces dissapointing. The ambiance is a little rushed and noisy, so ok for a quick, cheap meal out!

We went to Levante on a weekday evening in July. It was lovely food; great choice of Turkish dishes with fresh Halloumi and Hummous and salads.The shish chicken kebabs with rice and salad went down a treat.Went on a friend's recommendation in a group.Good service and wonderful value. Although they did pizza turkish style it would be good to have a bit more extensive vegetarian choices available. Not expensive and all freshly cooked on the gril to order.A good value night out.
