Levana in Birmingham

Very bad experience, staff did,t allow me to enter when asked the reason they said cause of shoes, I changed the shoes and went again but again was declined with no reason. They seem to be declining people based on their race. I would say racist staff and club.would not recommend.

Had such a good mamma Mia experience! A couple of the waitresses seemed sliiiiightly grumpy but shannah was amazing!!! Fantastic service and can’t wait to come back!

I think the club was located really well, I just didn’t appreciate the promotion staff being so hands on and basically flirting with every girl in the club. I’d rather have a nice night than to be harassed by sleazy men. Atmosphere was good but yeah feedback maybe choose better promoters

Nunca visiten este lugar, nos negaron la entrada algunos que nos ofrecieron ridículas excusas para no dejarnos entrar, como cuando llevábamos una camiseta y por eso no se nos permitía entrar, aunque había gente. En la zona de fumadores vistiendo camiseta. Honestamente, este lugar es una vergüenza para todos los clubes alrededor de Birmingham, no arruines tu noche intentando entrar porque no lo harás si actúan de esta manera.

Went here with a friend who is a lot younger than me so she loved it and me well not really because it's not my sort of scene but that's my personal choice. So if your young and love really load music and beer all over the floor then you should have a good night. Adele

This is a tired establishment with staff who seem totally disinterested. We visited early Saturday evening when approximately half the beers were unavailable. It’s the kind of place you drink what’s still on tap and by the end of the evening when you no longer care you drink whatever is left I’m rather surprised at the good reviews. Certainly not the place we visited

Have visited this place several times both for eating during the day and when it's a club at night, always been enjoyable. They often also host 'day parties' during summer with DJs & cocktails outside which are always great.

Levana in downtown Chinatown is the type of place you AVOID. Take note there are more terrible reviews than any other review on Tripadvisor. We arrived and sat at the table for moments before ordering at the Bar. Whilst at the bar a stocky member of staff bounced into me and proceeded to continue ahead. I advised him that it’s not acceptable behaviour and he ignored me. I then tried to find an answer for his behaviour from the Bar Staff but they were reluctant to say anything. After trying to obtain some form of apology for his behaviour I was advised that the Chef upset him. Oh! I see a reason to get nearly knocked over because the Chef upset you. We thought it best we make a fast escape in case we upset him. Tried to speak to the Manager on the way out and it appeared he wasn’t interested if his staff treats customers appropriately or not.

What the actual hell? Sticky floor, rude barstaff, don't even bother Free drink is appealing but £5 entry is not worth it

Or the outer circle... of Dante’s Inferno. We’re out for a curry and want a couple of drinks beforehand. Behind the Glee Club, just past JD Spoons, a two tiered 60’s circle of bars pubs and cafes. We went into Levana as it was the quietest. 7pm and almost deserted. Reasonable price and good staff but I suspect at its busiest, we’d give it a wide berth.

Used to use this place when it was Poppy Red was always a good night popped in last Saturday night 5th May as I hadn't been in since it had changed to Levana couldn't believe how bad it was couldn't wait to finish my drink and leave it was full of immature kids well late teens early twenties (just kids to me in my eyes) all drunk and falling all over the show. Never will I go here again.

We came here last summer and enjoyed a nice Pina Colada. I don't know what's happened but we ordered two on bank holiday Monday and they were horrible and not drinkable. We took them back and were met with a very rude response. We will not be back.

four of us went in for cocktails the barman couldnt make an expresso martini as the coffee machine was broken though it was all powered up hmm we had pina colada each easier to make they were ok not great food we tried the platter wasnt very hot the sauces were unimpressive generally staff were not very friendly of welcoming decor seating seems to be geared for a busy nightspot as opposed to cocktails and food having been once I wasnt surprised the place was not busy

Visited here on a Sunday evening as a party of 8. This was the only bar in the Arcadian which was empty, we ordered drinks off the cocktail menu which they didn’t have all the ingredients for. The cocktails we did have were nice however I didn’t appreciate the bar staff FaceTiming friends In Romania, which was live still as he put his phone down on the bar to serve. Poor maybe this is why the place was a ghost town

Saturday lunchtime visit for drink n snack. Quite cold inside and ok for quick drink and bite to eat/snack. Think it;s more geared up for night time!

My friend got refused entry as he was wearing jeans and a tshirt, after being told their dress code policy is white shirt and trousers, on the pictures you can see people wearing jeans and jackets and T-shirts, and we saw people wearing similar clothes gain entry. Your security guards must have been high on something, besides your club is not the only one open in Birmingham, so we did not give care if we were refused entry.

Estaban haciendo 2 por 10 libras cuando estuvimos allí en las 6, pero no estoy seguro de si era una hora feliz especial. Dreadful service no manners and food was more than disappointing. Cheep frozen low quality food and drinks literally threw in glasses. Needless to say in a city of choice -We won’t be back.

Me encuentro con un amigo para comer como era un poco temprano, así que fuimos a aquí una pinta. No hubo ningún cliente en el lugar de ningún tipo, pero aún así tomó el aspecto de una edad de camarera gruñón baje su teléfono y me sirven sólo para mí, entonces me dijeron que tenía absolutamente nada disponible en el proyecto a pesar de ser al menos una docena de bombas de cerveza. Pedí una botella de Magners por £4, que es un poco caro, no me ofrecieron un cristal, no ofrecieron de hielo y fue cálido. El lugar era oscuro y lúgubre, la zona exterior estaba sucio y desordenado (que no puedo desentrañar como no había clientes allí). El personal era grosero y maleducado, sucio sucio bar. Es aconsejable evitar.

After what happened to a young couple at Levana and the bouncers' treatment, the couple went on an official complaint to the city council about this venue and its none sense management, will give updates as soon as this is done by early September! No more rudeness in Arcadian, good news for all !!

Is it too much to ask for a reasonably priced drink served with a smile? Obviously at this establishment it was! Should have maybe seen the warning signs with the lack of customers. Oh well, lesson learnt, won't be returning!

Fuimos afuera para tomar un poco de aire el viernes por la noche, intenté volver, tenían porteros rotundamente me negó la entrada - no dar una razón. Mi compañero estaba dentro y no dispone de un teléfono móvil, no me dejaría volver a decirle que no estaba permitido. Fuimos a encontrar un teléfono, sin embargo, a mi regreso me dijo la tenían porteros mi pareja, incluso sabía que ella era y no ayudarme inicialmente! 2 horas más tarde después de buscar encontré su vuelta en el hotel, una joven mujer hizo caminar por una ciudad a la que nunca he estado antes solo, nada podría haber sucedido. No sorprende que las tenían porteros de la zona tienen una mala reputación. No volvería a Birmingham, ciudad menos amable que jamás he visto.

Comimos aquí Sábado almuerzo no había muchos clientes aunque el fútbol fue mostrando en la tv el personal era agradable y servicial y las comidas (2 por 10 libras) llegamos bastante rápido y bien presentado. Mi hijo había elegido el pollo con salsa barbacoa y dijo que era muy buena, las patatas fritas en grasas era encantador, pero me quedé decepcionado con mi pescado el bateador no estaba muy bien y mi pescado estaba fría - quizás no climatizada adecuadamente desde congelados. Supongo que no me puedo quejar mucho por ese precio pero no volver.

My second visit, looking at reviews I thought maybe I was lucky the first time round but no, all good. I mean it's not a 5 star restaurant hence the pricing 2 4 10 all that but food was hot very tasty and came quick for both of us. Menu changed since weve been last, looking way better actually. Friendly service , drank a cocktail watched a game had a good bite then went my way all for £30 for both. Great quality for this money in my book. Another good visit, would be more often but I'm in this area occassionally , thanks

On our yearly visit to the pantomime stop at Levana for a spot of lunch. Not only was the food nice, hot and service quick, the meals were £10 for two. It soon filled up as they also had the football showing. Will definitely go back next year. The young lady serving managed to keep on top of her work load, so a big hats off to her. The lose of the star was down to it being cold in restaurant.

A colleague had organised a booth for us for our Christmas party the lack of organisation was a bit rubbish we got there was told there was no booking then we went some where else and then 15 minutes later was told we had the booth but was just for 8 people so the rest of our party had to pay which previously was not informed to us so we had to pay £ for booth and entry. Drinks where so expensive too. Great music though

Don't bother, shoot the chef! If there is one. Probably the worst service and food I've ever experienced, it's Saturday afternoon, no wonder it empty. We are here for a concert and thought we'd come early and grab some food. If we weren't so hungry ii'd of walked out. What a shame, you really need to retrain your staff and shoot the chef Let's hope Birmingham has more to offer later .

I work on my feet all day, and on this particular Saturday my feet were killing me so I sensibly chose to wear flats, as clubbing in heels with already sore feet as many women know is asking for trouble.Got to the bouncer at the door and showed him cards we had been given on the street to get free entry and he said 'no'. We asked him why and his reason was because I wasnt wearing heels. Baring in mind the club was pretty empty at this stage. He point blank refused. Not only is this an extremely sexist reason, it is also not plausible. What harm was I doing in flats?I would say to anyone, don't bother with the Arcadian. Hit Broadstreet or Hurst Street.

Sticky table,greasy food,undrinkable coffer,and staff that just looked at you as though you are mad,all in all really bad

Worst place ever. Sticky tables sticky floor service beyond belief. Coffee was just hot milk. When food came there was so much grease on the plate it was vile.

Went there for a quick lunch as it was 2 4 10 and believe me , didn't expect anything like what we get. Food came out in a few minutes and the burgers were delicious, big build up towers tasty meat hot. Can compare it with professional burger places easily. Cocktails were great as well so all in all an awesome meal at a great price.

Well i have to day that your chef needs to learn how important it is to ensure chicken is cooked before serving. Serving raw chicken once is bad enough but twice is just unacceptable. And then to be asked by the waitress how well done we want it cooking topped it off. (Just not raw please)Never again will we eat here.

Myself and 5 other people just had a lovely afternoon meal in this bar. Complete with cocktails.The service was polite and friendly, the meals were delicious and great value for money on the two for £10 meal range, the burgers are great. The meals came out in a decent amount of time and wee spot on. No issues at all with our experience today, the bar was very quiet, aside from a few people watching the grand prix and having a beer, no-one else was eating.

A couple from the hotel we were staying at suggested we try Levana for dinner as the food was really good.True to their word, food was really good but customer service was terrible. Staff were unhelpful & borderline rude when asking questions. And because it was coming up to 8pm, unbeknown to us this was when they stopped serving food. So we were hurried & wasn't even asked how are food was or offered deserts.All a shame as the food was very nice but will NOT be eating there again.

I've been to Levana several times on the night time and every single time me and the girls have had a fantastic time. It has great music and a good crowd and good deals on drinks. We had a booth for my friends birthday and th host was lovely and made sure we didn't have to get up for anything extra to have on our table. A couple day's ago we decided to eat there before visiting the theatre and the food delicious and it was great value for money as you also get 20% discount when showing your theatre tickets , it was a shame we didn't have time to have desert. The bar staff were all lovely and they do make the best cocktails 2 for £10. Overall it was great I would recommend a visit for sure.

My friends and I decided to stop by Levana in the Arcadian centre,we had our food in about ten min,my salmon was delicious and lovely.and my friends had a three sirloin steaks were cooking as they ordered medium well,tasty,moist and juicy.we really enjoyed visiting the Levana and definitely we will come back.

My friends and decided to eat here before visiting the theatre.. The service from the staff was appalling. Uncooked frozen food served. Desert was almost thrown at us after waiting for 40 minutes for it to arrive. It looked like it had been dropped on the floor scrapped up and served. We sent it back and two minutes later were presented with same plates again. The attitude of the manager was I only serve it! , !

This bar was showing the football so the boyfriend insisted we stop here. Had a couple of drinks but absolutely no atmosphere, and very few people inside either. I think this bar is set up mainly for the night time trade and as such the service was a little rude, the girl behind the bar was on the phone the whole time I was being served and there was also a minimum transaction fee for cards.

The only reason I would recommend going here...and it a very loose recommendation, is to have the pornstar martini which tasted amazing. At 2 for £10 it was good value too.The rest of the visit however was very disappointing. Service unbelievably slow, only about 4 customers waiting to be served yet we waited around 15 minutes to order some drinks. We also ordered dessert, however an hour later it still hadn't arrived (we'd been advised there would be a 20 minute wait, an hour was ridiculous). When it eventually arrived it wasn't what we'd ordered, so we asked for a refund and scarpered...very disappointing, the manager did apologise and was friendly however. The venue also had a very strange musty smell...obviously from the night before, but could do with a deep clean and some air fresheners!! Won't be going again.

Last night I went out in Birmingham for a friends birthday, our plan for the night was to go to Levana due to recommendations from friends. However, we never actually managed to get in as we were told at the door "You're not getting in in flats", despite the fact we were wearing smart flat shoes. I'm absolutely appalled that in 2016 women are in a position where they have to be uncomfortable on a night out just to suit gender stereotypes.

After cycling 8 miles we settled on this place to eat lunch. After waiting 40 mins for our food (even though there was only 2 other customers) they got my order wrong! I didn't complain I waited for my order to be rectified. Meanwhile the rude owner returned moaning to the barman/waiter about where our bikes were positioned. He then asked us to move them in a rude over reactive manner. We immediately asked to be refunded so we could leave. He continued to scream walking through the customer area telling us to have our money and go! If he'd of came in politely we could of moved the bikes but it was his absolute over reaction to his employee and us that disgusted us! I wouldn't speak to my dog in that tone! Overall I'd say this was the worse experience in a bar/restaurant I've had to date and I shall be letting all my family and friend know to avoid this place!!!! More so the IDIOT owner!!!!

Lovely freindy service. Good prices and Drink selection. 2 for £6.80 cocktails very good. Food nice though not anything special we only ordered sharing platter as a snack. Only problem cold with doors open.

The food was gorgeous, quick to come out too. I do have to say the guy who served us didn't really understand English brilliantly which made ordering difficult and told us it's a bar although they do food they're not a restaurant so he couldn't assure us that our starters would be out before our main and our main out before our dessert which was strange although they all came out in the right order which was obviously pleasant. I have to say the food really made up for it though! All I can say is just make sure that you have slightly better care and service for your customers and if your staff do not think you're a restaurant, perhaps explain you do food so therefore you're classed as one. Cannot fault the food though!

Meet a few mates here for drink and food they have had a new menu there for a while now there is 2 for 10 on some good food and it's delicious would recommend they are also the only club in the Arcadian with sky sports.

Late October and staff insist on leaving the front door wide open. Doesn't have a welcoming appeal and we merely used for location and time restraints before curtain up at Hippodrome. Meal was acceptable although most of it appeared to have been microwaved. Waited 35 minutes for dessert even though not busy. Table was sticky and gave appearance of uncleanliness, this was confirmed with disgusting state of toilets. Lack of tables inside. I will not return to this venue.

I ordered two fillet steaks one medium, one medium rear. The wrong meal arrived, okay the bloke could not speak English and could not work the till, So understandable. Asked for the manager told him the problem, he apologized and the correct meal was sent. Have any of you had a fillet steak that was cut into 4 bites then cooked? This was not fillet steak, even though the owner shoved a till receipt from his butcher in my face, it was not fillet steak. It was full of gristle and very hard to eat.The owner was was abusive and very rude.

£8 entry for the privilege of a 15 minute wait at the bar and possibly the most miserable rudest bar staff I've ever encountered. Whilst waiting very patiently to be served I was watching the staff and didn't see one of them smile once at anybody, in fact they were rolling their eyes. I'm always polite to bar staff as I used to do it myself but not a please thankyou or what can I get you, just a what you want! So many nice bars in Birmingham many much less or no entry fee. Not somewhere I'd recommend.

We ate here with friends on a Thursday evening and it was fine! The food was very nice with good sized portions. Service was good. Friendly staff. Would eat here again.

The inside of this place looked very odd - it looked like all the furniture had been nicked. Uncomfortably hot inside so we chose to eat outside, even though it was quite chilly today. The staff member that served me was a bit dopey and didn't seem to know what they'd got foodwise. We eventually got there, then it turned out they didn't have the drinks we wanted - sparkling water - really!?! The meals arrived on wooden boards and the burger looked incredibly dry. The salad - well I say salad - was 2 tiny leaves, that's it. The ribs were ok - that's about as good as they got - and the burger was fine once I smothered it in sauce. The chips were good. We'd chosen 2 meals for £10 and that's about all they were worth £5 each. Not sure I'd bother going back.

so first time visiting this is the only place we went out, in the day it was like a chilled bar then about 10/11 turnt into a club amazing music, smoke machine, largeish dance floor for a girls night out we had an amazing time and will certainly be visiting again, its like located in a china town bit where theres loads of bars they also had fireworks, chinese dragon and live music on the day we visited but just be careful with your stuff, the two promoters at the club jordan and something gorgeous boys easily catch your eye stole my iphone 6 so yeah...

Had one pre-theatre drink in here, would have had another if it wasn't so bad. We both had fizz cocktails, my Bellini cocktail had a disgusting peach sludge squeezed into it which refused to mix with the fizz. Horrid.

staff were pleasant, drinks choices and prices were average. was a ice visit but nothing that stood out.

First off we only ended up here because our booked table elsewhere let us down. Secondly the menu outside draws you in, but doesn't match the menu inside. Thirdly, they had no white wine and had to check then had half the ingredients to make a cocktail (but they call themselves a wine & cocktail bar). And finally, if you order a burger served in a brioche bun, expect it to come in a toasted sesame bun. Service wasn't nothing to shout about either. Very disappointed.

Came here to eat before the theatre and were kept waiting ages it wasnt even that busy. Asked for a refund and were persuaded to wait being promised it would only be a couple more minutes. Would never return!

Your door staff are very rude and intimidating your there to do a job,not to discuss what you would like for breakfast how discussing you really are!!Further more when you get refused entry because you won't give a reply to a filthy ?They thinks it's ok to refuse entrance haha jokers!!!Horrid place to go....

Went here for a friend's leaving do. Awful security. We were polite and sober and received awful treatment, they treated us as if we were animals. We waited in line only to be turned away and shouted at. Never will return here, highly recommend you visit a more professional and well regarded club, instead of the horrible treatment you'll receive here.

I've been here a couple of times before visiting the Hippodrome, prepay in the car park at the Arcadian costs £5 and you get to stay from 5pm to 11pm. Meals are 2 for £10 with a good choice and cocktails 2 for £7. 80. I had cod and chips, my daughter had scampi and chips, both well cooked and well presented. The cocktails were delicious I recommend the strawberry Bellini. If you show your theatre ticket you get 20% off your bill. Ours came to under £15 for 2 meals and 2 cocktails, excellent value in my opinion. Please vote if you have found this review helpful.

This is probably my 3rd visit now and I've never remembered to write a review. This is always the place I come to before going to see a show at the Hippodrome and I've never had a bad meal or service.The parking is a good price at £5 after 5pm for 6.5 hours for theatre goers and it's right next to this place.Today because of the lovely weather it's busier than we've ever seen it before. It might also be because it's a Friday night and so more people are out after work. There's a lot of seating outside and big booths inside which are always my favourite for sitting in. The place itself is quite dark inside but there's sufficient lighting in the areas that it needs to be i.e. above the booths and bar. The toilets have always been clean whenever I've been in and are pleasant rather than grubby. I can imagine this place gets packed out on a late evening when they have a DJ on and music blasting but I've never been in at that sort of time.For the first time we've been there's a few good deals on for food and drinks! It's 2 for £7.80 on classic cocktails and quite a few options on the menu are 2 for £10. You also get a 20% discount on everything when you show tickets to a show for that day! Me and my mum had 2 meals (scampi and chips and cod and chips) along with 2 classic cocktails for £14 and a few pence! Absolute bargain! I didn't think that we would get the discount on any of it because it was already on offer so was pleasantly surprised when it was accepted no problem! The food came super quick, although it probably seemed like that because the lady at the bar put our food order through and then made our drinks up which took a bit of time due to them being cocktails so not long after I got back to be table, the food was arriving.As usual the food was piping hot, yummy and couldn't have been improved in any way. We were both happy with what we got. All in all for the price and the quality that you get, we would definitely come again and again and even on evenings when we weren't going to the theatre as it's always been so nice.

I had a late lunch early dinner here with a colleague. We utilised the 2 for £10 offer and we were not disappointed. Fantastic burgers were served with fries, great portions, well presented, fresh and tasty. I couldn't believe the value for money here. I noticed there were other great offers on cocktails etc. but couldn't avail as we had to get back to work. Great location in the centre of the Arcadian, great outside seating.

I went to Levana Birmingham with a group of friends. After about two hours I went outside to pick up the phone but because it was too loud I had to leave the club area. I have asked the bouncer if I could get back in if I leave now - he said yes. When I have finished conversation I walked up to the bouncer at the side entrance but I was told to get back to the queue. I showed him a club stamp but he was ignoring me. So I went back to the queue I have showed a club stamp to another bouncer and I was told that club is now full and I have to wait.I could understand that but at the same time I saw few people getting in through the side entrance so I went back to the bouncer at the side entrance but I was ignored repeatedly. So I had to call my friends to tell them that I can`t get back in and they all left the club. It was 10 of us, we all paid £7.00 to get in. I am very disappointed because I did not do anything wrong and I was not drunk ( I had only 2 drinks that night ) More secure ltd on their website says: customer service is extremely important .... Levana owners should change their security company - club reputation is suffering.

Had lunch here on Friday. We were a little dubious as it was empty but put that down to the fact it was almost 3pm. The woman behind the bar served me with a phone stuck to her ear on what appeared to be a private conversation. I had to ask for a glass for my drink and ask a second time for ice. The phone was still stuck to her ear when she brought our food. I ordered gammon and pineapple. It was served with egg. I had to point this out to the woman with the phone and she argued with me about what it said on the menu until I pointed out the error of her ways. She took the meal away (still with phone stuck to her ear) and brought it back without the egg. Everything on the plate other than the chips was cold. I couldn't be bothered to complain as she had no interest in us as customers.

Waited nearly two hours for two sharing platters and five meals, four of which were the same. Staff were rude and talking over us to each other and one admitted to us at 12pm that she'd finished her previous shift at 6am. It's illegal to do two shifts without an eight hour break. Meals were cold and one staff member was rude and asked for our condiments before our food arrived.

As we approached the nightclub a very rude bouncer shoo'd us away to the other end. As we got there within a second of getting our I.Ds out without any reason we were told straight away we wasn't allowed in. We then proceeded to ask why and after being ignored a good 10 times the bouncer then went on to tell us we were 'too casual' baring in mind we were all wearing expensive shoes and decent clothes. We even looked at the dress code before leaving our hotel and saw nothing about not being able to wear jeans. After a minute or so the manager came down and this is where things got really bad. He came to us straight away and rudely said your not coming in, again after asking why he said because us girls wasn't wearing heels we wasn't getting in. Baring in mind we were standing there wearing shoes that were at £60 each but proceeded to let in girls wearing £10 primark heels. To make things worse there were girls already in the club wearing trainers and lads wearing Nike air Max's. He then started picking and choosing who entered his club by race and gender. He was being extremely racist and sexist. Telling a group of Asian lads they weren't coming in due to there being too many of them and they just didn't have the 'look' he wanted for his club. He told one lad that he wasn't getting in cause he didn't want anymore lads in the club. I didn't know we had gone back to the 80's where that was still a thing? Whilst he was picking and choosing he put his arm/hand in front of my friends face and physically pushed her out of the way. Once we decided that even if we were aloud in the club we wouldn't want to enter we took a step back and was stood about a meter from the club when a bouncer came around and told us to F*** off! I'm completely disgusted considering it was gay pride and there was so many protests against discrimination and that's exactly what happened to us. Wouldn't return if you paid me.

Levana Birmingham, where to start. The bouncers and manager are not only racist but sexist and rude. My two friends and I came to Birmingham for the weekend to see some friends in lenava, we were dressed smart and suitable and even looked at the dress code before we arrived,On arrival we walked up to the bouncer at the entrance we were immediately told you're not getting in with no reason at all. I persisted to ask the bouncer why and his reason was "you're too casual." I was frustrated and shocked then just to rub things in I saw people inside already wearing exactly the same clothes as us. Not only that they started letting other people dressed in air max etc in. Obviously I walked up to the bouncer immediately and asked for the reason why they were allowed in, I was ignored repeatedly. The manager then came down I explained that I had taken a trip down and how the bouncer hadn't let us in, his response was "you don't look right for our club" he was also at this point picking people to come through in terms of race and gender. The manager then put his hand in my female friends face made contact with it to push her back.Finally Just to top it off it was gay pride this weekend where people come together to fight against discrimination obviously levana do not stand for these views on equality.I do not recommend this place to anyone in Birmingham or travelling to the area, I do recommend trying out Missoula as staff were friendly and prices are reasonable. I expect the levana manager will now defend his action with lies and deceit. Alec Harkness

I went to levana with a few friends for cocktails around 7pm. They advertised 2 cocktails for one and we thought it would be a great place ti go. We sat outside as inside was terribly loud! Not that the music wasn't good but it was just too loud. The waiter couldn't even hear my order.. anyway, the biggest challenge was getting our cocktails. The waiter was nice but ahe took about 15 minutes to make 4 cocktails. She was making me nervous... chatting with her colleagues and checking thr ingredients for the cocktail in front of us... of course she took too long. There were 6 other barman inside the bar doing nothing. I hope they are faster and more efficient! Not sure I would come back...

Visited here with 3 friends before seeing a show. I was going to order the fish and chips but only had 2 left so I quickly choose the lasagne. It was lovely and hot served with garlic naan bread (?) and side salad. It would have been better with chips but still tasty. The fish and chips were served in a pot double tray (like you would have had from the chippy). 2 meals for £10 great valve.

Well if your going to get it wrong might as well get it wrong with style and that's what the staff did at LEVANA in Birmingham. Ok so maybe that's a little dramatic. Truth time. Arrived at 5.30 pm wth the girls (4 of us) pre cocktails and food before a show at the theatre. Menus (something to please everyone.) didn't have to wait long to find a table. Already got cocktails at the bar. They were good. Tasty enjoyable. Well made. And that's where the good Almost stops. We ordered food we were told it would be a 20 min wait. That was ok we had lots of time. I asked the waiter for the wifi password. I got a rambling about why it couldn't (wouldn't) be provided. That's a first I have to say. I've never been refused wifi before in a bar restaurant. 40 mins later the same very pleasant waiter told us that the food we ordered had just come to the attention of the chef and he only had one portion of a particular dish three of us had ordered! I repeat 40 minutes later! we were running out of time before the show. The very pleasant good at his job did and said all the right things waiter offered to reimburse out meals and promised he would have food to us in time to eat before we had to leave. We were happy with that. So we waited.. And waited and waited. We did get food. We got it at 6.55pm an hour after ordered. And one of the dishes of chips were cold. The chicken supreme was dry no sauce or condiments at all just dry chicken. The salad on everyone's plate was limp lettuce. No salad. The coleslaw was missing. We had 15 mins to eat it. Need I go on.. During all that time we went back to order cocktails. A different girl took the order and said she'd bring the drinks to the table. 20 mins later still no food (at that point) and now no cocktails! So I went up. I asked were the drinks she was doing for me? Yes she said just doing them now. Great I thought. Wrong again. I stood and watched and waited nearly ten mins while she dealt with three other staff. Went through the food order pad with another server and spoke to and answered other staff questions. She then made my & only my cocktail wrong. Eww it wasn't drinkable. But the others were all good. I'm not being petty. I always try to comment truthfully honestly fairly and with that approach I will add the one savind Grace about our LEVANA experience. It was our waiter. His approach to the whole thing, his customer service. His patience. Could not be faulted. His name was Patison Harigan. If you should brave a visit to this place go at your own risk and ask for him. I'm writing on behalf of its clubbing aspect,Not that I've attempted the food (and wouldn't want too looking at the place and previous reviews)For clubbing, I've been rejected twice for being male (smartly dressed and mixed raced) I was once told only if I'm with a girl I will be let in.Today when I was allowed in, smart gear one once again (and sober again) to behave and got asked where I am from and if I normally cause trouble. Clearly this stereotypical racist thought everyone who is mixed race is out to cause some form of trouble rather than enjoy his night. I would not recommend this club, much better clubs in Arcadian, nicer staff, cheaper drinks and drastically better music. If you like nothing but house and over priced drinks this may be your place.If not do not attend. If you do you will be judged and questions as to why you're not bringing girls in. If you're female then make sure the stereotypical bouncer thinks he has a chance.

Went to this pub after we had came out of theatre with our parents..it was 5.40pm and most bars in Arcadian were full as it was a nice sunny evening.so we thought we would give it a try as meals were fully advertised at £10 for 2 meals (only meals with a flag by them ) we were then ushered quickly inside by a bar man and asked if we would be eating we said we were and we got seated on ripped chairs..instinct should have kicked in at this point! We were then given 1 menu between 4.a woman then brought another menu, 3 minutes later she came and abruptly asked for our order and then told us the 2 for £10 wasn't on I asked why she hadn't told told us until now and that it didn't state times on menu she replied I've just been told.we swiftly got up and left..we don't know why this "pub" is part of the Arcadian as it certainly lets it's down.we then went back to the green room and had a fantastic meal and friendly atmosphere well recommended!!!!

Came here for a bite to eat before seeing a show at the Hippodrome. Ordered a couple of Cocktails before eating. The barmaid was obviously having trouble making them as her manager had to take over halfway through. Ordered food which took a while to come out and when it did it came out wrong. Due to the limited time we had we just accepted it. Will not be going back again.

The barman who served us was very friendly and efficient. For food we opted for the 2 for £10 menu and had huge burgers with sweet potato fries. It was all very tasty and cooked perfectly.We decided to round off our visit with the 2 for £7.80 cocktails. I had a Cosmopolitan and my partner had a Long Island Ice Tea, they were both delicious.

We called here for a meal before going to the theatre. It's quite dark and drab in there but it is more of a club than a family restaurant so don't expect to be wowed by the decor. The food was cheap and absolutely amazing! Massive burgers, hand pulled pork, everything we ordered was stunning. Really cheap cocktails too compared to most places in Birmingham. The staff were fabulous, attentive, polite and seemed genuinely pleased to see us on a very quiet Saturday lunchtime. We would definitely go back. Don't judge this book by it's cover, give it a go

Everything was fab! From the atmosphere to the food even the cocktails I couldn't fault it if I tried!

Visited here this week whilst we were going to watch Lady Gaga, we went in early evening to be greeted and seated, we had a booth which was nice and private, the music playing was nice and at a good level so we could still have a chat. We took advantage of the 2 for £6 cocktails, I had a Strawberry Daiquiri and my husband had a God Father, we ordered a sharing board to start, which consisted of, Nachos, Chicken Wings, Wedges, Onion Rings, Garlic Bread and dips it was served quickly and tasted great. For mains we went for the steak deal 2 Rump Steaks and a bottle of wine, we had Blossom Hill Rose all that for just £25.00 we were amazed to be honest, the steaks arrived hot on a steak board with chips onion rings, vine tomatoes and salad and i have to say its one of the best steaks i have ever had, i asked were they got them from, and they told me they were from a farm in Shrewsbury and its a Birchstead brand. They really were tasty and tender and cooked perfectly. We skipped dessert as we were to full up, the place was inviting the staff were friendly the food and cocktails amazing and great value for money, I will be visiting again soon. The only issue i had with this place is, its a little dark inside and booths need recovering as there are a lot of holes and rips in them, however we were told by a member of staff that they are due to be changed shortly as they are going through a gradual refurbishment.
